Jiang Wan hid inside a bathroom stall, browsing through 101 Ways to Flirt with an Alpha.
What? Taking a dump?
As a refined Omega, how could he ever let his precious bottom come into contact with a public toilet seat?
Pooping at school? That’s never going to happen. Not in this lifetime.
Just as he was searching, a WeChat message popped up from Zhou Kui: “Did you forget toilet paper? You’ve been in there for a while.”
“…” Jiang Wan quickly typed back, “No, I’m constipated.”
Outside the bathroom, Zhou Kui inhaled sharply.
Well… if Omegas can poop, then why can’t they be constipated too? Zhou Kui thought to himself, trembling as he typed, “Take your time, no rush.”
Jiang Wan responded with a simple “Mm” and, having found his next move to win over Dou Ming, hastily dismissed Zhou Kui. He immediately called upon his underlings: No. 1, One-Eyed Dragon, was tasked with finding a stray cat on campus, while No. 2, Steel Teeth, was sent to track Dou Ming’s precise location.
After orchestrating his plan, Jiang Wan stepped out of the stall, washed his hands, and applied a layer of hand cream before exiting the bathroom.
To his surprise, Zhou Kui was nowhere to be seen outside.
Jiang Wan raised an eyebrow. Oh, so he couldn’t wait any longer and went to eat by himself?
He shook his head, about to leave, when he heard someone loudly calling his name.
Looking up, he saw Zhou Kui charging toward him under the blazing autumn sun, moving like a torpedo.
Jiang Wan: Is he a boar?
Jiang Wan instinctively dodged, but Zhou Kui stopped just in time in front of him, handing him a small, palm-sized box.
What’s this?
Jiang Wan took the box and looked down at it—
The large characters Ma Yinglong Musk Hemorrhoid Ointment pierced his eyes.
Zhou Kui scratched the back of his head with a sheepish grin. “You might need this. I ran to the convenience store to buy it.”
Hmph, not bad, thought Jiang Wan, after taking two mental hits from him, this large Alpha had suddenly connected the dots. He’d concluded that if Omegas could poop and get constipated, they might also suffer from hemorrhoids.
Resisting the urge to punch Zhou Kui, Jiang Wan tossed the ointment back at him. “I don’t need it!”
Zhou Kui gasped in surprise. “But, Wan Wan, don’t be embarrassed! You should use medicine if you need it!”
Ignoring him, Jiang Wan began walking toward the cafeteria, his stomach reminding him he was genuinely hungry. “Keep it for yourself,” he said, hands in his pockets, walking briskly.
Zhou Kui eagerly followed behind him like a loyal puppy. “Wan Wan, if you ever need it, just let me know. I’ll deliver it to you anytime.”
Jiang Wan gave a dry laugh. “Stop calling me by a nickname. We’re not that close, thanks.”
Zhou Kui scratched his head in confusion. Are all Omegas this temperamental? He had been so sweet and adorable when he agreed to have lunch together.
But for some reason, this moody Omega seemed even more attractive.
Swoosh.
And so, Zhou Kui trailed behind Jiang Wan with a goofy grin on his face the entire way.
Unlike many Omegas who preferred light snacks and vegetables, Jiang Wan was a pure carnivore.
With only Zhou Kui accompanying him, Jiang Wan didn’t bother pretending. His gaze swept over the available dishes, and he was about to order a garlic-roasted pig’s trotter.
Right behind him, Zhou Kui called out, “Hey, Dou Ming! You’re finally here for lunch?”
Jiang Wan froze.
The cold scent of cedar drifted faintly to his nose.
The cafeteria lady tapped the counter with her ladle, drawing his attention. “Student, what are you ordering?”
Jiang Wan smiled sweetly, “Steamed broccoli, a tomato salad, and half a portion of rice, please.”
The cafeteria lady grunted in response, scooping the dishes onto a tray while muttering to herself, “My goodness, these Omegas nowadays—so skinny they could float away, and still dieting. They eat less than a cat.”
Jiang Wan felt his heart lurch as he watched the woman mumble to herself, terrified that a stray drop of spit might fly past the mask on her chin and land in his food.
If that happened, he wouldn’t be able to eat lunch at all.
Even now, staring at the overly healthy dishes on his tray, he had completely lost his appetite.
After receiving his food, Jiang Wan calmly turned to stand beside Zhou Kui, pretending to wait for him, though he kept sneaking glances at the person behind Zhou Kui.
Dou Ming, head down, was busy on his phone and didn’t seem to notice him.
Zhou Kui reached the counter next. “Auntie, I’ll have one roasted pig’s trotter, two Orleans chicken wings, a bowl of lamb soup, four portions of rice, and a meat bun.”
Jiang Wan: “…” He couldn’t help but remind Zhou Kui, “Don’t order too much. The school’s promoting the ‘clean plate’ campaign. If you waste food, it’s bad.”
Zhou Kui looked puzzled. “I’m only ordering a little because I ate a big breakfast today.”
Jiang Wan: “…” He stared at the pig’s trotter on Zhou Kui’s tray, completely forgetting to watch Dou Ming for a moment.
Zhou Kui noticed Jiang Wan’s gaze lingering on his food and asked cautiously, “Do you want some pig’s trotter too? I can get you one.”
Jiang Wan’s stomach growled slightly, and for a second, he was tempted.
Just then, Dou Ming finished ordering and turned toward them.
Seeing his handsome face brought Jiang Wan back to his senses. He forced a cute smile and said, “No, I hate pig’s trotters. They’re so greasy.”
Zhou Kui nodded earnestly. “Oh yeah, Omegas don’t like oily foods.” He glanced down at his tray full of greasy dishes and laughed heartily. “But us Alphas like heavy flavors!” Then he looked over at Dou Ming. “Look, even Ming Ming got a roasted pig’s trotter.”
Jiang Wan: “…” Ahhh, please stop talking about the pig’s trotter!
Dou Ming glanced at Jiang Wan’s tray, his expression thoughtful.
Oblivious to the tension between them, Zhou Kui cheerfully invited both of them to find a seat together.
Once seated, Zhou Kui immediately began devouring his food with gusto.
Jiang Wan, propping his head up with one hand, struggled to resist the mouthwatering aroma of the pig’s trotter in front of him. Trembling slightly, he reached for a piece of broccoli with his chopsticks.
Great. More grass to eat. What joy, Jiang Wan thought bitterly as he shoved the broccoli into his mouth, chewing like a robot with no emotions.
It took him five full minutes to finish one piece of broccoli. Then, with shaking hands, he picked up another.
Just then, a shadow fell over his plate.
The smell of pig’s trotter hit him full force, and there was a faint undertone of cedar mixed in.
Jiang Wan blinked, staring at the now slightly greasier broccoli. Next to it, neatly sliced pieces of pig’s trotter had appeared.
The once bland broccoli now glistened with the fat dripping from the roasted pork, looking far more appetizing.
And the pig’s trotter itself—those glossy, red chunks of tender meat—had Jiang Wan’s empty stomach practically growling in response.
He raised his head, trying to maintain his delicate Omega persona, and looked in confusion at the Alpha across from him who had just withdrawn his hand. “What’s this?”
The young Alpha’s expression remained indifferent. “Kids shouldn’t be picky eaters.”
Jiang Wan: “…”
Jiang Wan: “!!!”
No acting required—his face flushed bright red as he quickly lowered his head and stuffed a piece of meat into his mouth.
After all this time, he had finally taken a bite of the pig’s trotter he’d been craving, but he had no idea what it tasted like. His heart was pounding too hard, and all he could think was: How does this brat know exactly how to mess with me so perfectly?!
Dou Ming glanced at the flustered Jiang Wan, shook his head, and thought to himself, Omegas really are troublesome creatures.
He lowered his head and began eating his own meal.
The cold cedar scent lingering in the air quietly mingled with the faint plum scent.
Meanwhile, the other Alpha present, Zhou Kui, remained blissfully unaware of the subtle exchange of pheromones around him.
From start to finish, Zhou Kui was entirely absorbed in the joy of gnawing on his pig’s trotter.
