“Little Pinecone…” Xiao Yi choked up. “Why are you here?”
The middle and high schools took longer to evacuate. Even with an umbrella, his whole body was still soaked, cold and without any warmth, but Xiao Yi still hugged him tightly.
“I’m sorry.” He cupped his cheeks with cool palms, clumsily trying to wipe away the tears, but it only made his face more messy. “Don’t be afraid, look, I found you.”
“Do you still remember what I said, no matter what, I will find you.”
