PLTRSC Chapter 9

What a joke

For some reason, Lu Yinghuai felt that Jiang Tang’s words contained a bit of…heartache?

He didn’t know when Jiang Tang started to like him in his previous life, but logically speaking, they had never met before, so the feelings should have developed after marriage.

He was silent for a few seconds, then half-jokingly asked, “Tang Tang cares about me so much, do you like me?”

There was a flash of struggle in Jiang Tang’s eyes.

He just noticed that Lu Yinghuai had been staring at his hands with a sad look in his eyes, and it was obvious that he was looking through him at someone else.

He could almost conclude that he was a substitute, and this was the most reasonable explanation for why Lu Yinghuai was willing to have him.

The smartest thing to do at this moment was probably to express that he was only thankful to Lu Yinghuai.

But……

He doesn’t want to lie.

“I’m going to sleep first.”

As expected, there was no direct answer.

By the time Lu Yinghuai reacted, the door of the master bedroom opposite had closed.

Lu Yinghuai waited by the door for a while, and when he heard the master bedroom gradually quiet down, he stood up anxiously.

He gently pressed the door handle of the master bedroom, but the door was not locked.

Lu Yinghuai’s heart moved, but he restrained himself from going in directly. He thought to himself that the kid really had no guard at all, how much did Jiang Tang regard him as a gentleman?

He let go of the door handle, leaned against the door and took a deep breath.

Since they met, he had only hugged Jiang Tang for a short while, which was not enough.

Only he himself knew how much psychological trauma Jiang Tang’s departure had left on him in his previous life. If he was not afraid of scaring Jiang Tang, he really wanted to hold Jiang Tang in his arms all the time.

Jiang Tang had just reached adulthood at this moment, and looks more youthful and lovely than in the previous life. There was no longer the cruelty and indifference in his eyes that he had when he was with Lu Danchen in the previous life.

The only drawback was that Jiang Tang looked too thin and had no weight when he held him, just like in the previous life.

So light, as if he would dissipate at any moment.

Lu Yinghuai thought of Jiang Xuan’s other son, who was also an omega of the Jiang family. Jiang Zi Ang was obviously raised in a pampered manner. His complexion was rosy and his figure was vaguely becoming rounder. And what about his Tang Tang?

His face was sallow, and even the ends of his hair were dry, clearly showing signs of malnutrition! The clothes he was wearing were much bigger, probably because it was passed to him as something Jiang Zi Ang didn’t want.

The more Lu Yinghuai thought about it, the angrier he got. He had seen unloved omegas before, but he had never seen anyone who was tormented like Jiang Tang.

Just as he was thinking about it, his phone vibrated twice. It was a message from Fang Mu.

[Mr. Lu, do you need me to be present for the collaboration with the Jiang family tomorrow? ]

Previous collaborations never required Fang Mu to go in person, so it seemed that the Jiang family had already contacted Fang Mu.

What a joke. Jiang Tang was raised like this by the Jiang family. It’s already a great kindness for him not to cause trouble for the Jiang family.

He lowered his eyes and typed.

[The Jiang family’s stock price hasn’t fallen so much that it needs Lu’s company to intervene.]

Fang Mu was silent for two seconds: [I understand.]

A mature assistant must be able to read the hidden meaning of his boss’ words. Lu would definitely add fuel to the fire and make Jiang’s stock hit the bottom tomorrow.

It was late at night. Lu Yinghuai took a deep breath and rubbed the door handle of the master bedroom with his fingers lingeringly.

The suppression patch on the back of his neck was about to lose its effect, so Lu Yinghuai tore it off with one hand and strode towards the special room at the end of the corridor.

After the injury, his pheromones became uncontrollable and very destructive, so he converted a “bedroom” at home for him to rest.

The interior was fully upholstered, with nothing else except the bed.

The door slammed shut, and Lu Yinghuai waited as usual for the pheromones to spread and explode, but unexpectedly, only some non-aggressive pheromones overflowed.

Lu Yinghuai immediately became alert.

The next second, he sensitively caught a hint of imperceptible bitter floral scent.

Mixed in with the scent of fir, it was very faint and light, but Lu Yinghuai’s whole body froze.

His eyes were bloodshot and he felt it again and again in disbelief, and finally tasted some sweetness from the slight bitterness.

Panic, heartbreak, madness and joy were intertwined on his face. He raised his hand and touched the gland at the back of his neck. The pain from the knife tip piercing through seemed to still be there.

Lu Yinghuai clearly felt that his pheromones could be controlled, and there were still some of Jiang Tang’s pheromones left in his glands
