ATISIUP Chapter 10

Lin Huanyan’s chest was full and tempting, her slender waist easily held in one hand. Her triangular area was completely covered, but her long, white legs were exposed, slightly shyly crossed at this moment.

When Lin Huanyan turned around, her fair and beautiful back was fully revealed, with nothing to cover it except two thin black straps crisscrossing. Her elegant shoulder blades looked ready to spread wings and fly.

Admiring herself in the mirror with satisfaction, Lin Huanyan suddenly pulled the door open and stepped out.

Her delicate little feet dipped into the water to test the temperature—it was just right. The white floating cloud bed had already been set up.

Lin Huanyan immersed her whole body in the comfortably warm water and began to play happily.

Meanwhile, on the other side, Gu Yincheng had initially thought that whoever came out might be some member of a dangerous organization. Instead, it turned out to be a girl in a swimsuit.

Caught completely off guard, he got an unobstructed view of the young woman’s exquisite figure.

Her fair and delicate body replayed itself over and over in his mind, leaving his usually rational and calm brain in a rare state of total disarray.

Even his body betrayed him—a sudden heat surged through his nose, and a warm flow gushed out of his nasal cavity.

Turning away awkwardly, Gu Yincheng wiped his nose with his long, bony fingers.

Looking down at his hand, he was greeted by a vivid smear of red.

This was entirely unexpected. He had come to investigate, only to stumble upon a young girl swimming, and now he found himself in this embarrassing predicament.

Gu Yincheng had always prided himself on his remarkable self-control. Women had tried to tempt him before, but he had always remained unfazed.

This time, however, was different. The unexpected impact caught him off guard, and his body reacted before his mind could even catch up. He couldn’t decide whether to blame himself for being so undignified.

Lin Huanyan, oblivious to all this, swam several laps in the pleasantly warm water, her entire body relaxing.

She then instructed the robot to bring over Dabao and Xiaobao, placing them by the poolside.

After securing the floating cloud bed near the pool, she climbed onto it. Round droplets of water slid down her smooth skin, leaving no trace behind.

Lying on the floating bed, Lin Huanyan gazed at the dazzling starry sky above, with Dabao and Xiaobao adorably by her side.

In this serene setting, she gradually drifted off to sleep.

The girl lay on the snow-white cloud bed, her skin even fairer than the fluffy surface. The contrast with her black swimsuit only made her features more distinct.

Her graceful side profile, her full chest, flat abdomen, rounded hips, and long, jade-like legs extended effortlessly.

Gu Yincheng, after composing himself, raised his head and was greeted by this breathtaking scene.

Hurriedly averting his eyes, he piloted his mecha away from the area, not daring to stay any longer for fear of seeing something else he shouldn’t.

Within the protective shield, the temperature remained warm and comfortable. Lin Huanyan slept soundly until the next morning.

Sitting up on the white cloud bed, she leaned back and slid into the water again. After swimming a few more laps, she climbed ashore and returned indoors.

Her night’s sleep on the floating bed had been incredibly restful. Unlike sleeping indoors, it felt freer, almost liberating.

She took off her swimsuit, grabbed a white dress from her wardrobe, and changed into it. Returning to the poolside, she carried Dabao and Xiaobao back inside.

In this lonely galaxy, without family or friends, the presence of Dabao and Xiaobao had made her life much better.

She loved keeping them within her sight.

After tidying up, she replied to the furniture store about her custom order and then began her day’s work.

Meanwhile, Gu Yincheng had just returned home and immediately opened his smart brain terminal. He sent the coordinates of the outpost to Ji Shutong.

“Help me look into this outpost lab. I found someone inside while patrolling today. Not sure what they’re up to, but it’s better to investigate, given its proximity to our star field.”

Ji Shutong, busy organizing data in his mecha lab, immediately perked up. The young master had just said Yincheng was fully upgraded and couldn’t wait to test it out.

Now, however, there was a sudden request to investigate an outpost. Though curious, he understood the need for vigilance regarding unusual activity near their domain.

Setting aside his tasks, Ji Shutong began digging into the records.

Though the outpost was remote and had been abandoned for some time, the research institute’s stringent standards ensured all records were meticulously preserved. It didn’t take long for Ji Shutong to uncover the details.

“Black Hole Laboratory?” The name was unfamiliar, but Ji Shutong continued to probe deeper.

“So that’s why. Makes sense now.”

The Black Hole Laboratory had been renowned a long time ago but had since fallen into obscurity. No wonder the facility had been abandoned.

Further investigation revealed the current staff—a single B-level researcher named Lin Huanyan.

Her resume was impressive, but apparently, her position had been taken by a collateral family member of a major house, forcing her to relocate here.

“Poor girl,” Ji Shutong muttered. This wasn’t the nefarious group he had initially suspected to have taken over the abandoned lab.

While his thoughts wandered, his hands moved efficiently, packaging the findings and sending them to Gu Yincheng.

Lin Huanyan, meanwhile, hadn’t bothered to retrieve her package herself. Instead, she sat at her workbench, feeding Dabao and Xiaobao some beast milk while waiting for the robot to bring her deliveries.

A day had passed, and Dabao and Xiaobao hadn’t changed much, but they were visibly more energetic. They drank milk with great vigor, showing their growing strength.

It was impossible to detect whether newborns had any special abilities at just one day old. According to the boss, signs of uniqueness wouldn’t appear until after the full month.

But Lin Huanyan wasn’t in a hurry. Her expectations for Dabao and Xiaobao weren’t high. If they had abilities, great; if not, they were still her precious babies.

It was time to get to work. Lin Huanyan glanced at the five delivery boxes stacked on a nearby shelf.

Today’s deliveries were quite a lot—about the same number as the previous two days combined. She wondered if there would be anything interesting inside.

She casually picked one box out of the five and started opening it.

As she unwrapped the package, the contents gradually revealed themselves.

It turned out to be a potted plant: a small brick-red flower pot, a plastic-wrapped stone-like plant, a little bag of soil, and a bottle of green rooting solution.

That was all there was in the box. Clearly, it was one of those plant kits purchased online.

Lin Huanyan was delighted—it was her first time unpacking a delivery containing a plant.

Earth plants, compared to interstellar ones, were naturally free of pollution and radiation, making them much purer.

If she managed to keep it alive, it would be highly valuable. After all, the cactus she had previously given to Professor Liu was said to be incredibly valuable for its ability to soothe mental energy.

Thinking of this, Lin Huanyan became even more excited.

She placed the pot properly, carefully poured the soil from the bag into the pot, and then unwrapped the plastic to reveal the small lithops seedling inside.

Was it her imagination? When she touched the lithops, she seemed to feel a faint trace of pure vitality. Her mental energy instinctively stirred for a moment before quickly retreating.

The lithops also seemed to have become slightly more vibrant in color.

But that must have been her imagination—after all, she had no special abilities and was even suffering from a mental energy disorder.

Using her finger, Lin Huanyan poked a small hole in the soil, placed the seedling inside, covered it with more soil, and dripped a few drops of rooting solution.

Finally, she placed the pot on the shelf designated for plants and turned on the solar simulation lamp to shine on the seedling.

This solar simulation lamp was said to be the masterpiece of a 3S-level researcher, capable of perfectly simulating sunlight to help plants grow better.

She recorded in her notebook: One plant seedling, machine-detected at 100% purity, equipped with cultivation container, soil, and rooting solution. Not grown with nutrient solution, directly planted in the pot. Observing survival status.

She then moved on to the next package, which was an ordinary black plastic bag. Opening it revealed a yellow duck-themed bedding set, seemingly designed for dormitory beds.

She recorded it in her notebook and continued unboxing.

The next package contained a white wrought iron decorative lamp with a vintage aesthetic. It was perfect for her living room. After recording it, she had the robot place it in the appropriate spot.

Now there were only two packages left. Lin Huanyan chose the smaller one next.

Opening it revealed a pink ceramic jar. Sensing something, she opened it to find it was a jar of traditional handmade lip balm purchased online.

The color was a vibrant red—quite a challenging shade to wear.

If she were still on Earth with her sun-kissed tan from the seaside, it would’ve been unsuitable. But with her current fair complexion, she was eager to try it.

As expected, the girl in the mirror, with her rosy lips painted in this bold shade, exuded a captivating allure and charm.

Finally, only the last package remained.

Lin Huanyan carefully used a knife to slice it open and emptied its contents onto the table.

“Ah!”

A sharp scream escaped her lips, startling Dabao and Xiaobao, who began squirming uneasily.

On the table lay a flesh-colored cylindrical object, one that defied description.

Lin Huanyan’s face, which had been as fair as jade moments ago, was now flushed red. Even the tips of her ears were crimson, looking adorably round and tempting.

Her emotions were on the verge of collapse. Though her theoretical knowledge in this area was extensive, she had never imagined herself unpacking such an unspeakable item—let alone one of this size.

Lin “theory-savvy but practically clueless” Huanyan, who’d never had a boyfriend, didn’t know what to do.

In the end, she could only extend her trembling fingers, pinch it with two of them, and hurriedly toss it into a cabinet, slamming the door shut.

Not until it was completely out of sight did she begin to calm down.

Looking up, she met the innocent, confused eyes of Dabao and Xiaobao.

“Ah, babies, I’m sorry! Mommy shouldn’t have let you see that.”

She cradled their little nest, comforting them through the transparent pod. Who was she really comforting, though—her babies or herself?

Meanwhile, far away at the star pirate base, Gu Yincheng had no idea what Lin Huanyan had just gone through.

He was holding a tablet, reviewing the data Ji Shutong had sent over.

On the screen was a photo of Lin Huanyan, accompanied by detailed information—everything from her birthdate to her life’s accomplishments, even her every exam score.

Gu Yincheng’s gaze lingered on her photo, but his mind wandered to the scene of her lying on the floating bed.

Gu Yincheng shook his head forcefully, trying to snap himself back to reality.

Then he continued reading and concluded that the girl posed no threat whatsoever.

Putting down the tablet, he piloted his mecha back outside. His mecha wasn’t fully tested yet.

The new weapon performed exceptionally well. Gu Yincheng had an exhilarating training session and fell asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow that night.

However, the girl he thought he would never cross paths with again appeared in his dreams as his wife. In the dream, they were deeply in love, sharing a profound bond and doing many things that married couples do.

When he woke up, though, his legs felt sticky, and his spiritual energy was in disarray.

Even though he forced himself to calm down, the image of her lingered in his mind, refusing to fade.

This wasn’t something he had anticipated. He understood his feelings well. The girl was indeed stunning and happened to align perfectly with his aesthetic preferences. He did like her a bit.

But not to the extent of her disrupting his life this much. Could someone have done something to him?

Gu Yincheng pondered this possibility. However, he was typically composed, so after some careful thought, he decided the best course of action was to find a way to enter the courier station and investigate the matter. This would also give him the chance to check for potential dangers there.

And, if it wasn’t an external interference, he could also take the opportunity to spend more time with this beautiful girl. It wasn’t every day he encountered someone he felt this strongly about. Maybe this dream was actually a sign.
