PMBPHP Chapter 56

Celebration (Gresis’s Perspective)

Gresis’s POV*

I was going to spend time with Lilith at the celebration.
However, I was called by my older brothers, Timir and Frair.

“I have something important to tell you.”
When Timir, the crown prince, told me seriously, and the prime minister’s assistant, Frair, silently nodded, I had no choice but to respond.

“Fine.”
Lilith smiles.
I was distracted.

Lilith can be compassionate and smile at everyone. There are many people who are attracted to that personality.

The knights involved will take care of Lilith and will be willing to stay by her side. I just don’t want them to get too close. Let’s go back as soon as possible.

“So, what is it?”
Hurry up. I can’t say that.

“The children were born. I’m thinking of making an opportunity for Lilith to meet them too.”
Did Timir also become a father?

“If possible, I don’t want to show the beast children to Lilith.”
I remembered the case that a human woman who was tied to a beastman in the past gave birth to beast children, and when she saw their appearance, her heart became sick, and she committed suicide.

“It is necessary to know the reality. Graces will also eventually. . .”
I understand what Flair wants to say.

“It’s a big help. As the third prince, there’s no problem even if I don’t have children.”
“But there is a possibility. Like the first night.”
What does Frail expect?

“There’s nothing.”
Why do I have to talk to my brothers about this?

“Huh? Could it be that you can’t feel that way about Lilith?”
Timir has no delicacy.

“. . .There’s no reason.”
Even if I tell a useless lie, it will be found out anyway, so I’m trying not to do it.
I want to get away from this place as soon as possible.

“Well, considering the past cases, I don’t know, but I don’t think Lilith is that kind of person.”
“That kind of thing is. . .”

I don’t want to be told by Timir.
I think I understand Lilith the most.
I felt uncomfortable with a mixture of feelings of wanting to believe and anxiety.

“Well, that’s all I’m talking about. I’m sorry for making you feel bad.”
“I’m still worried about this.”
“I know. It’s a matter of my feelings.”

The two of them patted me on the shoulder to comfort me.
Well, I was finally released from my brothers.

I felt a little uncomfortable, so let’s have a drink and calm down, and then go back to Lilith.

Suddenly, I saw the knights’ ribbons.
The mission has also ended, and I wonder if they will come to return the ribbons to Lilith.

When I imagined the knights who were smiling at Lilith happily, I felt a little uncomfortable.

That’s right, let’s collect it instead.
I act right away.

“If you want to return the ribbon to the Lilith, I’ll take it.”
I collected it one by one and went around.

“It’s a great deal, but I promised to return it to the Princess, so I’m going to give it to her directly.”

Saying that, none of the knights want to hand over the ribbons.
They just swore allegiance to Lilith.

“I’ll tell her your feelings firmly. Lilith will be most happy that you are safe.”

I smiled.
I’m aware that I’m famous for being scary when smiling at a time like this.
The knights reluctantly offered the ribbons and I succeeded in collecting them.

When I went to the sofa where Lilith was while in a good mood, Agar, the assistant commander, was sitting next to Lilith and chatting happily.

“It looks like a lot of fun.”
I meant to be sarcastic.

“It’s fun. If you’re jealous, why don’t you come back quickly?”

When it was easily acknowledged and returned with a just argument, I couldn’t say anything.
If you think about it calmly, the ribbon collection could have been done on another day.

“Well then.”
Agar, a man who can read the air, ran away quickly.
Let’s collect his ribbon tomorrow.

I can finally spend time with Lilith. I thought, but it’s about time for the knights to get drunk and turn into beasts.
If Lilith is nearby, I don’t know if she will get involved.
I have to leave this place as soon as possible.

“Let’s go back to the mansion soon.”
“Um, I’d like to stay over too.”

Lilith pulls her cloak lightly and asks for it cutely while looking up.

Who made Lilith think like that!?
I’d like to ask if I can. But I hardened my heart.

“No, absolutely.”
I’m confident that I can’t forgive other drunk knights for nuzzling Lilith and being able to see her sleeping face.

When it comes to Lilith, I’m really no good.
Well, this is not bad either.

I understand your feelings Gresis.
