Thrown Around Early in the Morning

Chapter 28: Thrown Around Early in the Morning

Although Zhen, Qing Ming, and Si Yino were in the same class as me, it was evident that they were too worn out to get excited. While I was thrilled all night because of the start of school, they were busy binge-watching “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”! They stayed up together, watching it until midnight, and they still hadn’t woken up.

As for Mao Mao, that girl loved to sleep in. She was really different from her brother, Mo Ming. Mo Ming woke up early every day and paid great attention to his physical fitness. After Mao Mao took over his room, it doubled in size and was filled with various exercise equipment. One time, I saw him transforming into his wolf form and running on a treadmill. The feeling… I don’t want to describe it. It was like someone walking their dog on a treadmill.

I dashed out of the cabin in excitement, running along the deserted path, heading towards my freshman classroom. I was just as thrilled as all the other artsy students who were anticipating university life. I had thoroughly researched university life!

In junior high, it was all about being rebellious; in high school, it was about studying hard; and in university, it was about making a statement. I always believed that in university, girls would wear long skirts, their hair flowing in the wind, and looking up at a 45-degree angle would evoke a special feeling. The captured photos would exude artistic charm. University exuded a sense of romance, artistry, and detachment from worldly matters. It completely liberated us from reality and the mundane, allowing us to return to freedom!

I ran ahead in excitement, and the distant teaching building came into view. Today, I will be the first one!

Just as I was about to pick up speed, suddenly, a red scarf descended from the sky and instantly wrapped around my neck, lifting me off the ground!

Instinctively, I grabbed onto the scarf to prevent it from choking me. I kicked and struggled, and the scarf that had been strangling me suddenly flung me, throwing me off the edge of the road. I watched as I was about to plunge from the sky!

Damn it!

It must be that damn scoundrel!

But then, I stopped!

I was truly suspended in mid-air, but… not standing… I was… upside down…

It was the Cloud-Threading Shoes that were suspending me in the air…

I felt as if I were still standing on the ground, but I was… upside down…

I was mistaken. I should have listened to Mo Ming and learned how to use the Cloud-Threading Shoes first.

And because I was upside down, my clothes started slipping down. Fortunately, I was wearing a vest underneath, and it took a lot of effort to adjust my clothes and keep them in place.

“These Cloud-Threading Shoes are truly something else.”

As Fusu’s annoying voice echoed, he slowly descended from above, with his cool flying sword beneath his feet.

He was also dressed in a school uniform today, and the hem of his clothes fluttered at an angle. The outfit fit him snugly, and people couldn’t help but be drawn to his “tiny waist.”

Although he resembled a handsome young man leaping out of a manga, I refused to admit it. I wouldn’t admit it even if I died!

“You can’t kill me!” I glared at him fiercely, my mind starting to fill with anger. Being hung upside down like this was uncomfortable.

Fusu’s face dropped in front of mine, and his eyes glanced at me with a hint of disdain. It was as if he couldn’t be bothered to look at me directly. “Who said I wanted to throw you? I just wanted to test the quality of these Cloud-Threading Shoes.”

I stared at him angrily, and he raised an eyebrow, arrogantly gazing into the distance. “Hmm, the quality is good. I can go ahead and buy them with confidence.”

“You used me as an experiment?” I clenched my fists in anger. “Is this really enjoyable for you?!”

“Of course, it’s fun!” He turned his face back towards mine, his lips near my forehead. The corners of his mouth curled with contempt. Suddenly, he reached out and used his red scarf once again to wrap around my neck, pulling me towards him. “It’s a shame you weren’t there when I went to the King’s Palace before, but… I’m back now. I can take my time playing with you.” His smile widened, and his handsome face was instantly covered by a wicked charm. His entire demeanor seemed to say, “I’m a bad guy, but you can’t resist me!”

I squinted my eyes. “Can you stop using me as bait for Feng Lingcan?”

His smile instantly stiffened, and his delicate eyebrows immediately lifted. “Do you know that your words from last time sparked a lot of discussion about me?” A hint of killing intent flashed in his eyes as he looked down at me with a dark gaze. “The most annoying thing is that they think Feng Lingcan is the dominant one!”

“Oops!” I couldn’t help but burst into laughter. Unfortunately, I happened to spray it on his forehead. He immediately jumped back and pulled out a wet tissue to wipe his forehead. “You’re really disgusting! Human saliva is full of bacteria!”

I covered my mouth and laughed as I watched him busily wiping his forehead. “Why do you…haha… always seem like the submissive one…”

Instantly, his eyebrow twitched, and he tightly clenched the wet tissue in his hand. He glanced at me with a sinister smile, his wicked charm resurfacing on his lips. “Xia Xiaolan, we have plenty of time to play~” He reached out and pinched my face through the wet tissue. “Take out your phone.”

“I don’t have it!”

“Hmph.” He sneered, directly reaching into my bag and retrieving my new phone. Mo Ming’s keychain also fell from the phone, and he raised an eyebrow when he saw it. “So, Mo Ming really acknowledges you as his master.”

“Fusu!” Suddenly, the little person actually spoke, and their bun-like face puffed up. “Where’s Xiaolan?”

Fusu grinned mischievously as he continued to pinch my face, casting a glance at Mo Ming’s clone. He said, “As long as she’s in my hands, you better hurry~~ I can’t guarantee I won’t do anything to her~~” Fusu looked at me with a wicked gaze, playfully licking his lips. “Who made her… so entertaining?”

“Fusu! If you dare to harm her, you know the consequences,” Mo Ming’s clone said seriously.

“Tch.” Fusu dismissed him with a glance. “Then come on.” He provocatively released my face, glanced at me, and hmphed, diverting his attention to my phone as if he were killing time waiting for Mo Ming.

I spoke up, saying, “Fusu, you’re really boring!”

He raised an eyebrow, and I thought he was going to hit me. I immediately looked at him cautiously, but he angrily looked at me while holding the phone, “Why don’t you have any pictures of myself?”

I looked at him speechlessly. “Who are you? Does every girl’s phone have to have your picture?”

He squinted his eyes. “That’s common knowledge!” After saying that, he actually posed for pictures with my phone!

Damn, he even made cute poses!

I absolutely refused to admit how adorable he was. Clearly, he was so bad and wicked, yet he looked so innocent and natural. It must be an illusion!

I hung there stiffly. I couldn’t stay like this forever because I really felt like I was going to faint. All the blood in my body rushed to my brain.

My head began to throb with a pulsating heat. I struggled to control my feet and move, but since I had never trained to walk in this situation, taking steps was difficult.

“Xiao Lan!” Mo Ming’s voice came, and for the first time, I felt so happy to see him. I reached out my hand to him and said, “Save me!”

He hesitated for a moment, a hint of determination crossing his emerald eyes. He looked at me seriously again and said, “I will!”

I raised my hand to my forehead directly. “Don’t say it! Every time you say that, it’s like my heart is bleeding! I got it, I’ll handle it myself.” I looked at Fusu. “Since you enjoy throwing me around so much, could you throw me over to the school side?”

Fusu glanced at Mo Ming, who stood on the roadside and slowly clenched his fist. Fusu never took his eyes off Mo Ming, put the phone back in my bag, and then grabbed the collar of my clothes.

I, Xia Xiaolan, resigned myself.

“Fusu!” Mo Ming shouted anxiously.

Fusu’s mouth curled into a wicked smile. “Mo Ming, I’ve always wanted to see how fast you are. Let’s see if you can catch the ball I’m about to throw!” After saying that, Fusu grabbed my collar and threw me in the direction of the school.

I felt a rush of wind whistling by my ears, and the surroundings became a blur. The incredible speed made it hard for me to breathe!

In an instant, the academy rapidly expanded before my eyes.

Suddenly, a flash of red swept past, and Fusu caught hold of my body in mid-air, landing firmly with one leg slightly bent. He held me horizontally and lifted his face. His delicate strands of hair fluttered in the sunlight, and a mischievous smile appeared beneath his bangs as he looked ahead. “The legendary strongest guardian, it turns out your power is nothing special.”

I turned my dizzy head and looked towards Mo Ming, who stood there emitting a strong killing intent.

Fusu helped me up and pushed me away. “Here, have it back. Had enough fun for today.”

I took an unsteady step forward, and Fusu had already vanished like the wind.

Mo Ming immediately came forward to support me. I raised my hand to my forehead directly. “No need! I want some peace and quiet.” I turned around in front of him and stumbled forward, swaying like I was drunk. Being turned upside down for so long and thrown around like that, I was really dizzy.

Thump! Thump! A zombie jumped by my side, and Mo Ming stopped, looking at me. “Uh…”

“Help, help me.” I reached out my hand to him.

“Uh…” He stiffly placed his arm in front of me. When I held onto his arm, it felt like grasping a dry twig. Black Meimei had already appeared by my side and also supported me. “What’s wrong with you?!”

“I, I feel like throwing up…” I felt nauseous and dizzy.

“Don’t do it here! It’s disgusting! Hold on a bit, I’ll carry you inside!” Without further ado, Black Meimei lifted me up and quickly leaped through the entrance of the teaching building.

When she brought me into the women’s restroom, I vomited. “Ugh… ugh…” I caught a glimpse of her taking out her phone to take pictures from the corner of my eye.

“Don’t… don’t take pictures…” I held her phone, and she looked at me strangely. “What’s going on with you? It’s so disgusting, the first day of school.”

I splashed my face with cold water. “Fusu threw me again…”

“What? Where’s that big dog?” Black Meimei crossed her arms. Even though she was also wearing a school uniform that day, her alternative makeup and hair color gave her a fusion of Eastern and Western vibes. “Mo Ming is known as the strongest guardian in the Immortal Domain~” She said it a bit sourly, as if she was a little dissatisfied.

I finally came to my senses. “Don’t mention it. He said he wouldn’t intervene to help me so that I can become stronger.”

“What? Are you serious?” Black Meimei’s black lips puckered. “My zombie guardians are more obedient. Even if he wanted you to become stronger, he should have considered your own situation. You were just a mortal, no matter how strong you became, your mortal body would still be fragile and vulnerable. When it came to protection, it should have been prioritized. I used to think he was impressive, but now it seems it’s better not to.”

Sob~~~~~~ That’s exactly what I thought too. I immediately embraced Black Meimei. “Only you understand me…”

“From now on, me and my zombies will look after you!” Black Meimei said with exceptional loyalty, which deeply moved me. That’s what family is all about!
