༺ How To Avoid Debut – 3 ༻
[Free Board] Heard there’s an idol debut program by MSM
Author ㅣ CravingSpicyChicken
It’s not officially announced, but I heard it from my dad who works at the broadcast station I know some of you will ask for proof, but believe it or not, it’s up to you. I can already foresee the first comment saying ‘no proof, no belief’ The filming is confirmed, and the participants are all set. They selected good-looking ones only, so he said he really hopes it goes well. Just think of it as the survival programs you’ve been watching so far. If they get a lot of audience votes and last until the final, they’ll sign a formal contract with a sponsoring agency. They’re about to start filming soon, so there should be articles coming out.
+) Don’t ask me to prove it in the comments. It’s annoying.

┖ ㄴI agree ~~~
└ Predicted the first comment right from the start
┖ If your dad really works there, wouldn’t you have something to prove it? Show some proof, can’t believe it
└ Lmao It’s written there that it’s annoying. If you can’t believe it, then don’t.
└ What can he produce if there’s nothing ㅠ
┖ Why would MSM do an idol debut program lmfaoo They should have just added another variety show, why bother with something like this lol
┖ ??? So the fact that there’s a sponsor agency means it’s not run by an agency??? They just gather ordinary people and do it???????
└ So many question marks lolol Why are you so curious about this prank post?
└ I’m the OP, and yeah, they’re gathering ordinary people
└ Wow, this is the first time I’ve seen a show run with ordinary people.
└ ????? So it’s not trainees???
┖ When did they recruit??? Did I miss it??
└ ㄱㅆ) They said they didn’t recruit separately, they filled the spots themselves in the background.
└ Lmfaooo Looks like the OP has a lot of time to answer each question despite claiming it’s annoying?
└ Seems like making up stories in your head is fun for you, huh?ㅎ^ㅎ Yeah, right.
┖ Are they male or female, please?
└ They’re male. Male idolsㅇㅇ
└ Wow, insane.
┖ Why are you even paying attention to this kind of post hahaha
└ You’re reading it too, aren’t you T_T
└ You really fell for this bait? Are they handsome??ㅠㅠㅠㅠ It’s funny that you’re asking this lmao~~
┖ Your single post is causing a fuss in all sorts of communities. Delete it.

└ Where did you read such nonsense kekw why would he appear, he’s in an agency.
└ Bro, have you been released?
└ Seongwon has been out of his agency for quite a while now^^!
┖ Hey, whether this is true or not, there’s no official article yet. You should delete this before you unnecessarily get into trouble.
└ Yeah, probably better to delete it before anything else
┖ If you keep posting stuff like this, you might get sued by MSM. Isn’t it better to delete it before it spreads furtherㅠㅠ?

* * *
I randomly shoved a packed lunch from the chain convenience store right in front of my house into my mouth. I chose bulgogi for a safe bet, and its sweet and salty flavor was just right to soothe my tired mind.
“Ah, the sausage.”
While eating, overwhelmed by the sleep that had already crept up on me, I ended up dropping the sausage. After practicing all night, I finally fell asleep after 3 a.m. I was exhausted, not because I practiced too hard, but just because. Back in high school, I had the energy of an Energizer bunny, but now, after a long time without dancing, I felt pain everywhere, or at least, I felt like I did.
In fact, aside from things that didn’t suit me, there was nothing wrong, surprisingly. Things like my legs shaking when the music started or not being able to move my feet didn’t happen. It was as if my slump had been naturally healed. Despite facing dance after a long time, I was fine.
While popping another sausage in my mouth, my other hand deftly found my uncle’s contact on my phone. Less than 10 seconds after hitting the call button, my busy uncle answered the phone
– Oh, Hahyun-ah. I was about to call you. Did you practice a bit?
“Only for a week though….”
– Are you eating while talking? Finish chewing first.
Upon my uncle’s comment about my mumbled words, I hurriedly swallowed the sausage.
“I’ve practiced for about a week, but it’s just okay.”
– Is it okay for today?
“It’s not that I can’t dance. It’s just that I can’t feel it like before.”
After more than half a year spent cooped up at home, tapping away at my laptop, it felt like I had lost the touch as I tried to start dancing again. Although it still wasn’t at a satisfying level, I had brainwashed myself into thinking it was fine since today was the filming day. It wasn’t an important job, and it wouldn’t matter if I messed up.
“Right, uncle. Where’s the location?”
– I told you yesterday. You’ve already forgotten? You always seem to forget these things.
“I forgot to write it down. So, where is it?”
– Yeouido FC Center. There’s a big concert hall right next to it, so you’ll find it easily. I’m busy now and can’t answer the phone, so find it yourself. Thank you.
As soon as my uncle, who didn’t forget to say thanks, hung up, I quickly stuffed the remaining lunch box into my mouth. It wasn’t even 8 a.m. yet, so I had plenty of time.
I usually wore just a T-shirt when I went out, but today I couldn’t do that, so I put in a lot of effort. I wore the expensive shirt I had bought and checked myself in the mirror from different angles. Then, feeling somewhat embarrassed despite being alone, I let out an awkward laugh and left the house
I hailed a taxi on the street, told the driver my destination, and immediately leaned back into the seat. It had been two weeks since the pre-meeting, and it was already the first day of filming. I stared at the fast-moving road and recalled the brief memories of the pre-meeting day.
I remembered a small space with a single camera quietly rolling and a single desk sat in the middle.
“Looking here, you seem to have a lot of dance genres that you can do. Is it in the performance area?”
“Yes.”
“Do you also sing?”
“I haven’t sung much, so I’m not sure…..”
“Can you sing a bit now, then? We will do a short camera test.”
After I was asked to write a simple profile, I reluctantly filled in even the weight that I didn’t know well. After that, what came up was a camera test.
It was natural for an idol debut program to require singing, but although I liked listening to songs, I wasn’t particularly fond of singing, which was a problem. I cleared my throat and managed to spit out a few words, but my voice was stiff, as if reading lyrics.
“I heard it well.”
The scriptwriter, tapping his pen without any change in expression, then asked to see my dance. “This time, let’s see your dance.” Back then, I was able to start an a cappella dance without any hesitation.
While cautiously stringing together movements, the scriptwriter who was observing suggested with a bright smile,
“Do you want to try an idol dance if you know any?”
Remembering the time I had danced to a medley of hit idol songs for a while, I banged my head on the window. Suddenly, a wave of fatigue washed over my entire body. The sound of my heart beating from nervousness was as loud as the sound of the cars on the road, and even though it wasn’t hot, my face was burning up. I tried to cover my cheeks with my hands, but it was no use because my hands were also hot. In the end, I got out of the taxi without calming my flushed face.
“Aren’t you too late? What if they’re sold out.”
“That’s what I’m saying. I should have come earlier.”
As soon as I got out, the noisy sounds invaded my ears. People were lined up hundreds of meters straight, all the way to the bus stop in the distance.
Judging by the slogans everyone was holding, it seemed there was a concert here today. A slogan held by a fan in front of me caught my eye.
[0225 I’ve been pushed up to here]
“Uh…..”
February 25th was the debut day of NOBLE, and ‘I’ve been pushed up to here’ was the lyrics of the fan song that they always sing at the end of the concert. After taking a quick glance at the massive concert hall in front of me, I started walking in the opposite direction of the FC Center. As I got closer to the concert hall, distribution lines popped up here and there, and I even saw a few people sitting on mats on the ground, selling goods.
After wandering around for a while, I noticed a particularly long line. This also seemed to be a distribution line….. Out of curiosity, I went to the front of the line and saw that it was a fan club’s distribution line. Seeing people taking fans and slogans together, and moving away with excited faces, I let out a sigh
‘What am I doing here, now.’
I came to my senses late and tried to turn around and go the other way, but someone walked up and stood at the end of the line.
The man who walked up with long legs, almost 180cm tall, wore a hat pulled down and even wore a mask. In one hand he had a phone, in the other hand a shopping bag filled with slogans haphazardly. There were quite a few people who came to the concert hall dressed like that, but his vibe seemed to be a student, so my eyes were drawn to him. A male fan?180cm
“I stood in the Sun Light line. I’m busy and need to go quickly. It’s already 9 o’clock.”
Ah, a proxy. I didn’t mean to eavesdrop, but his voice was heard here because the distance was so close. Thinking I should get a hold of myself, I finally turned my feet in the opposite direction.
When I finally came to my senses and arrived at the FC Center, it was already 10 past 9. The building, which I entered with an anxious heart wondering if everyone was already there, was even more imposing than I had thought. Feeling self-conscious just by walking, I stood in front of the elevator to go up to the 5th floor, where the waiting room that my uncle had told me about was located
“Hey, aren’t you the one I took the profile picture with?”
While waiting for the elevator from far above to come down, I was thinking about going to harvest some apples when someone touched my arm slightly and spoke to me. When I turned my head to the right, where the voice came from, bright golden hair, as if it belonged to a character from an animation, first caught my eye.
“Oh, yes. That…”
“Oh, I’m Kim Seongwon, do you know me? I appeared on Hot Stage before. I made it to the semi-finals.”
Having faced him for about 30 seconds, I finally remembered. Seongwon’s face surfaced from the back of my memory and I nodded a few times.
That forgotten show was Hot Stage. It was a program that I had watched a few times because many good dancers appeared, but I had completely forgotten about it.
“Yes.”
“I wanted to talk to you in the studio last time, but you left right after it ended. Have you ever trained in any entertainment company? You’re really handsome.”
“No.”
“Oh, so this is your first broadcast. You must be very nervous.”
Seongwon widened his eyes and nodded his head as if he empathized, then started giving advice like a pro.
“The atmosphere is really stiff during the first shoot. When it’s break time, the atmosphere starts to loosen up a bit and it becomes bearable.”
Even after we got on the elevator together, his incessant chatter was honestly noisy. Still, thinking that they were somewhat helpful stories, I listened. When I showed a little bit of a receptive attitude, Seongwon, who seemed excited, raised his voice tone without realizing and then suddenly whispered as if he was sharing a secret.
“But you also have to look good to the PDs. Editing is really important. When I was on Hot Stage, there was a sister who told the main PD that she didn’t like the editing here, you know? Then the PD cut her stage in half. So she was eliminated the next week.”
Seongwon, who had been whispering about the importance of editing, quickly closed his mouth when the elevator opened at the third floor and someone got on. It felt like he was talking about me. Entirely. Editing, elimination.
As soon as we arrived at the fifth floor, I quickly got out of the elevator. Seongwon, who had been pushed to the back by people who got on at the third and fourth floors, also made his way out of the crowd in a slightly disheveled state.
“The waiting room… Ah, it seems to be here.”
Seongwon, who had been wandering in the quite long corridor, seemed to have found the waiting room and briskly opened the door and entered first. As soon as he entered, he energetically greeted everyone and then started looking for people he already knew from the last profile shooting
I watched him for a while before awkwardly lifting my foot. The not-so-large waiting room seemed crowded with more than twenty men sitting huddled together. It felt like the waiting room would burst when the rest, about ten people, arrived. I barely stepped into the narrow waiting room, but unlike Seongwon, I couldn’t muster the courage to greet everyone heartily and quietly went to sit in a corner.
