Cheng Ke couldn’t comprehend how different this kiss would be. He only knew that he craved a kiss with Jiang Yuduo, not the usual playful pecks or gentle touches.
He yearned for a kiss that would ignite a fire, passionate and intense like a fierce battle, leaving them breathless, an entirely new experience.
Jiang Yuduo’s lips felt slightly cold, but his breath was warm and inviting.
As the warm breath brushed Cheng Ke’s face, he lost himself in the moment, abandoning any lingering rationality. It felt like an explosion of desires, leaving him feeling like a one-armed pervert who had lost control.
He pulled Jiang Yuduo into the room, pressed him against the wall, then led him into the living room, knocking over chairs and pushing aside tables. The world around him seemed to blur, and he could only hear his own heavy breathing, unable to determine if Jiang Yuduo was responding amid the haze.
It was an intense and enjoyable encounter, except for the inconvenience of his right hand in a plaster cast, hindering his movements. On the other hand, his left hand was quite enthusiastic and cooperative.
After fumbling and exploring, he eventually grasped Jiang Yuduo’s buttocks.
Jiang Yuduo hesitated for a moment, then lifted his arm and threw Cheng Ke onto the sofa.
As Meow jumped off the back of the sofa and stepped on his face, Cheng Ke regained some awareness.
He had grabbed his third brother’s ass.
He had grabbed the ass of his third brother, someone whose feelings and desires he couldn’t quite understand.
It might have been an involuntary reaction, but Jiang Yuduo didn’t retaliate. After standing beside the sofa for a moment, he moved forward swiftly.
Cheng Ke suspected that Jiang Yuduo must have utilized his fighting experience. Jiang Yuduo pressed his right hand, in a plaster cast, above his head, and then straddled his knee, pinning his left wrist.
“Did you just fucking bite me?” Jiang Yuduo asked, a bit out of breath, as he stared down at Cheng Ke.
“I don’t know,” Cheng Ke replied, still catching his breath, “I thought I was going to tear you apart.”
Jiang Yuduo paused for a moment, then suddenly lowered his head and kissed Cheng Ke again.
Cheng Ke momentarily thought that his third brother was about to headbutt him in the nose.
Then, only one word remained in his mind.
Hurricane.
He had no idea how long the kiss lasted or what thoughts went through his mind.
God only knows.
When Jiang Yuduo finally released him and straightened up, Cheng Ke heard his phone ringing.
Neither of them moved or spoke.
Cheng Ke felt a buzzing sensation in his ears.
The ringing eventually stopped.
“Why did you stop?” Cheng Ke looked at Jiang Yuduo, his breath still unsteady, and his voice sounded dazed.
“What?” Jiang Yuduo asked, “The phone? You didn’t answer it, so it stopped ringing on its own.”
“Chen Qing is so damn persistent!” Cheng Ke almost exclaimed, “I asked why you stopped!”
Jiang Yuduo seemed momentarily stunned but didn’t respond.
“What’s wrong?” Cheng Ke exerted effort to free his hand from under Jiang Yuduo’s knee, and gently patted his face, “What’s going on?”
“Nothing,” Jiang Yuduo mumbled.
After a while, he collapsed, lying on top of Cheng Ke’s body, remaining still, his face buried in the hollow of Cheng Ke’s shoulder.
“…Damn it.” Cheng Ke held his breath, Jiang Yuduo’s sudden pounce nearly knocked the wind out of him.
Jiang Yuduo remained still and silent, keeping his head buried.
Cheng Ke could feel the warmth of his breath on his neck, and he raised his hand to gently rub his back, saying, “It’s okay, this was just… impulsive.”
“No,” Jiang Yuduo replied, still muffling his voice.
“You… do you have sex?” Cheng Ke couldn’t help but find it somewhat amusing in such a charged and intense moment.
“Don’t you?” Jiang Yuduo’s voice remained muffled.
“Yeah,” Cheng Ke said, slipping his hand into Jiang Yuduo’s clothes and feeling some raised scars on the otherwise smooth skin, “and then I didn’t stop.” “I didn’t stop because of that,” Jiang Yuduo said.
“What’s the matter?” Cheng Ke asked, “Did the phone ringing scare you?”
“You’re the only one scared by the phone ringing,” Jiang Yuduo clicked his tongue, paused, and then sighed, “It’s just… I don’t know what to do.”
“What?” Cheng Ke was momentarily puzzled, and suddenly an uncontrollable urge to burst into laughter surged within him. He bit his lips to suppress the laughter, then gently pushed Jiang Yuduo.
Jiang Yuduo turned his face away and frowned, saying, “It’s not that I don’t know what I want to do, I do know… well, it’s just that I’m not used to it.”
“I know, I know,” Cheng Ke reassured him, rubbing his back.
“What do you know?” Jiang Yuduo lifted his arms and looked at him.
“…I was just talking casually,” Cheng Ke said, realizing that his brain wasn’t functioning properly at the moment, and he was struggling to understand what Jiang Yuduo meant.
Jiang Yuduo got up, pulled his legs in, and sat on the sofa. He took out a cigarette, lit it, and started smoking.
Cheng Ke tugged at his sleeve, sat up too, and leaned against the armrest of the sofa, saying, “Did you sit on the spot where Meow poops?”
“It’s not that I’m not used to it…” Jiang Yuduo, with a cigarette in his mouth, pondered for a long time, finally seeming to gather his resolve, turned to look at Cheng Ke, and said, “I’ve been thinking about the next step, and suddenly I don’t know what to do.”
Cheng Ke didn’t respond immediately; it took him a while to process what Jiang Yuduo had said.
Jiang Yuduo squinted his eyes as the smoke rose from the cigarette, giving him a slightly arrogant look. Cheng Ke found it difficult to connect his expression with what he was trying to convey.
“So it’s not that you don’t know what to do,” Cheng Ke said, “It’s that you don’t know how to do it.”
“Get lost,” Jiang Yuduo glared at him and turned his head away.
Cheng Ke felt that the passion had come to an abrupt end, but he still had some lingering thoughts and wanted to continue savoring the moment. However, he suddenly couldn’t control his wild laughter, and he knew that it might ruin the atmosphere.
But he couldn’t help himself.
He turned his head towards the back of the sofa and couldn’t stop smiling.
Jiang Yuduo turned back to look at him, and after a few seconds of staring, he cursed, “Damn it!”
After Cheng Ke finished laughing, he felt that all the previous passion and excitement had vanished, and his mind was no longer preoccupied.
Jiang Yuduo went into the bathroom to wash his face, but when he came out, he still seemed unhappy.
“I’m feeling a little hungry,” Cheng Ke said, “Is there any food left for dinner?”
Jiang Yuduo glanced at him and replied, “Go eat whatever you want.”
Cheng Ke’s spirit of wild laughter that had subsided suddenly returned. He hugged Meow tightly and chuckled, feeling a bit lightheaded.
“I guess you’re the birthday star today,” Jiang Yuduo pointed at him, “You’re still injured.”
“Exactly,” Cheng Ke said with a smile.
“Smack you,” Jiang Yuduo grabbed his coat and put it on, “Let’s go, let’s find somewhere to eat.”
“Is there any place open at this hour?” Cheng Ke glanced at his phone; it was already three o’clock.
“Yes,” Jiang Yuduo replied, “but if I don’t take you, you won’t be able to find it.”
“Then let’s go,” Cheng Ke said as he put Meow down and stood up.
Regaining the feeling of being a young master, Jiang Yuduo immediately handed him his coat as soon as he stretched out his hand. However, this momentary thought left Cheng Ke feeling a bit uneasy.
“Will Chen Qing look for you tomorrow?” Cheng Ke asked after they stepped outside.
“Yes,” Jiang Yuduo sighed, “Don’t worry about what he thinks. Whatever he may think, he won’t do anything to you.”
“He might not be able to accept it,” Cheng Ke said, “What are you going to tell him?”
“Don’t worry about it,” Jiang Yuduo replied, “There’s nothing between Chen Qing and me that we can’t resolve. You don’t have to say that you are my…” Cheng Ke hesitated.
“I know what you mean,” Jiang Yuduo interrupted him, “I’ll handle it. Just… what do I call you?”
“Yeah,” Cheng Ke smiled.
Jiang Yuduo led him through several alleys, turning east and west, until they arrived at a small street that Cheng Ke had never walked before. It had a similar appearance to the small street where Jiang Yuduo lived, but a few shops were still open facing the street.
“Is the barbecue place still open?” Cheng Ke asked, “What kind of shop is this?”
“A barbecue shop,” Jiang Yuduo replied.
Cheng Ke was momentarily taken aback, but he burst into laughter again.
Jiang Yuduo frowned and looked at him, “Did Cheng Yi hit you on the head today?”
“He didn’t have a chance to do that,” Cheng Ke said playfully.
“You’re 28, young master,” Jiang Yuduo said, “Laughing like a fool.”
“It’s none of your business,” Cheng Ke teased.
“Come on, let’s go in,” Jiang Yuduo pushed him toward a small shop next to them.
The shop was quite small, with only four small tables and a young couple was sitting at the back table, eating barbecue and chatting quietly.
They settled down at a table near the door. The bearded boss approached with a pot of tea and greeted Jiang Yuduo, “Brother San.” “Bake something for me and bring two more bottles of wine.”
“Sure,” the bearded man replied.
Once he walked away, Jiang Yuduo asked in a low voice, “Who called you just now?”
Cheng Ke remembered his phone had rung earlier. “I don’t know. It’s late at night.” He took out his phone, checked it, and frowned. There were two missed calls, one from Cheng Yi and one from Liu Tiancheng. He put the phone back in his pocket. “I don’t really care.”
“Cheng Yi?” Jiang Yuduo inquired.
“Yeah, he probably went out for drinks with someone,” Cheng Ke explained. “First, he complained, then tried to make peace, and finally, some old friends came to persuade me, saying that I should be sorry for Cheng Yi or something.”
“Sounds tiring,” Jiang Yuduo clicked his tongue.
“I guess I’m used to it,” Cheng Ke said, glancing at Jiang Yuduo. “Do you want to check out the shop I mentioned earlier? It’s neat and, according to Cheng Yi’s description, it seems quite good. Are you… interested?”
“No,” Jiang Yuduo replied simply.
“Are you worried about lacking experience?” Cheng Ke asked. “You can learn gradually. If you want to do something, this shop might be a better option than your carpentry, right?”
“Is my carpentry not good?” Jiang Yuduo smiled.
“It’s very good,” Cheng Ke reassured him.
“Don’t keep that store,” Jiang Yuduo said, “Cheng Yi is very touchy about it. As long as you don’t sell the store, he won’t leave you alone.”
Cheng Ke remained silent, realizing that Jiang Yuduo often thinks a lot.
“Don’t have anything to do with him anymore,” Jiang Yuduo advised.
Cheng Ke hesitated for a moment, then nodded, “Okay.”
After they finished eating barbecue and drinking wine at the shop, Cheng Ke felt that it was almost dawn.
“Feeling sleepy?” Jiang Yuduo asked.
“Just need to close my eyes,” Cheng Ke replied, putting his arm around Jiang Yuduo’s shoulders, “I could fall asleep right away.”
Jiang Yuduo looked back and gently wrapped his arm around Cheng Ke’s waist.
However, the embrace seemed a little awkward. Jiang Yuduo’s hand went up and down uncertainly, not finding a suitable position.
“Don’t fumble around, is there a proper place to put your hand?” Cheng Ke teased.
Jiang Yuduo sighed, tightening his embrace and deciding not to move his hands anymore.
When they returned home, Cheng Ke went to the backyard again. The lamp made by Jiang Yuduo was still on, casting a warm yellow light that made the yard feel much cozier than the outside.
“You can hang this lamp in the bedroom,” Cheng Ke suggested, “I just don’t feel comfortable using the wall lamp in my room, so it can be a nice replacement.”
“You don’t have to go out of your way for me like that,” Jiang Yuduo smiled, “It looks quite ugly hanging there.”
“It’s not ugly,” Cheng Ke disagreed.
“You can do whatever you want, but you still need some tung oil to finish it, and we didn’t have enough time today,” Jiang Yuduo said as he approached the lamp. He flicked his fingers lightly, and the lamp turned on, creating various shapes of light spots and shadows dancing in the yard. “Should we add a colored lantern inside?”
“No! Please stick to your current aesthetics,” Cheng Ke hastily objected.
“Okay,” Jiang Yuduo acquiesced.
Cheng Ke yawned, “I’m going to sleep. I’m really sleepy now.”
“Sure,” Jiang Yuduo replied. He approached Cheng Ke, stopped in front of him, hesitated for a few seconds, and finally asked, “Where should I sleep?”
Cheng Ke glanced at Jiang Yuduo and said, “Sleep in my arms.”
“Fuck!” Jiang Yuduo stared at him.
“Come and hug,” Cheng Ke opened his arms.
“Just after a few drinks, and you act like this?” Jiang Yuduo continued to stare at him.
“Come and hug!” Cheng Ke raised his voice and demanded.
“You little rascal!” Jiang Yuduo stepped back when Cheng Ke yelled, “Aren’t you being ridiculous!”
Cheng Ke didn’t respond, his arms were still extended. He wasn’t sure what came over him—whether it was the alcohol or the emotions of the night—but even though he was really sleepy, he couldn’t control his excitement.
Jiang Yuduo stared at him for a moment, then reluctantly walked over and hugged him.
“I’m holding you, okay?” Cheng Ke tightly wrapped his left arm around Jiang Yuduo, rested his chin on his shoulder, and closed his eyes. He felt a bit lightheaded and unstable.
“Don’t ask me to carry you in,” Jiang Yuduo immediately became cautious, “I don’t dislike you, but I’m worried about losing balance and falling.”
Cheng Ke chuckled, released his hold on Jiang Yuduo, turned around, and went back to the room. He washed his face and entered the bedroom, lying down on the bed, “I’m so sleepy.”
As he said this, he felt like he was losing consciousness. He didn’t even have the time to wait for Jiang Yuduo to lie down.
When he regained consciousness, it was already daylight, but Cheng Ke didn’t know the exact time.
He was alone on the bed, and he wasn’t sure if Jiang Yuduo had already woken up or if he stayed up like the last time.
Cheng Ke reached out to grab his phone to check the time, but his right arm didn’t seem to move much. He looked over and noticed his right hand, which was in a plaster cast, placed beside the pillow. After struggling for thirty seconds, he finally realized that there was a rope tied to the plaster, and the other end of the rope was tied to the bedside shelf.
“Jiang Yuduo!” Cheng Ke shouted in shock.
“Hey,” Jiang Yuduo’s voice came from the living room, and then he rushed in, saying, “Here, come here, I’ll untie it for you.”
“What are you playing at?” Cheng Ke looked at him, but then his eyes widened, “What the heck is this?”
“What?” Jiang Yuduo looked at him while untying the rope.
Cheng Ke was taken aback for a moment, then abruptly lifted the quilt and checked himself.
“Oh, for goodness sake!” Jiang Yuduo finally realized and jumped up, pointing at Cheng Ke, “What the heck, Cheng Ke! What were you thinking?”
Cheng Ke felt a bit embarrassed upon reflection, but Jiang Yuduo’s reaction was somewhat amusing to him. He couldn’t help but say, “How would you understand?”
“Nonsense!” Jiang Yuduo retorted, “You think you can understand everything just by watching a few movies.”
“Oh,” Cheng Ke chuckled.
“Get up!” Jiang Yuduo said, “Cheng Yi called three times, and Xu Ding called twice.”
Cheng Ke frowned, “What time is it?”
“It’s almost 11 o’clock,” Jiang Yuduo replied, “Xu Ding also called me.”
“What did you tell him?” Cheng Ke got up and left the bed.
“I told him you were asleep,” Jiang Yuduo said, “He hung up without saying anything else.”
“What else could I say?” Cheng Ke got up and stood, “Regarding the store sale… Xu Ding must be involved.”
“Xu Ding is the only person you know who’s still willing to help you,” Jiang Yuduo said, “he must be involved.”
When Cheng Ke walked to the bathroom, Jiang Yuduo followed and asked, “Did Xu Ding…”
“Huh?” Cheng Ke turned his head.
Jiang Yuduo frowned, “If there’s nothing wrong with him, then why is he helping you like this…”
“Are you jealous?” Cheng Ke asked with a smile.
