⌈Weekend update: 0/2⌋
After Gu WenCheng disembarked from the spaceship, he instructed Li ZouXing to lead him to the body of the person who had ambushed them.
The blood that had dripped onto the beach a couple of days ago was nowhere to be found. Li ZouXing guided him into the forest, but when they arrived at the spot, the body was no longer there.
Gu WenCheng found traces of blood scattered among the grass and bushes under the trees. He pondered for a moment before asking, “Are you sure you killed him?”
Li ZouXing nodded, “I’m very certain I killed him.”
He crouched down beside Gu WenCheng, “What did the thief you captured say?”
“It was a spur-of-the-moment decision, a gang operation,” Gu WenCheng glanced at him, “They were all wanted criminals, so we handed him over to the guards.”
But now he was dead, killed under the influence of his mental power. Gu WenCheng, however, didn’t mention that to Li ZouXing.
Li ZouXing rubbed his chin and looked at the traces on the ground. Only this small patch hidden among the grass roots remained, while the other blood had been cleaned up. He patted Gu WenCheng’s arm, “Let’s go see my little brother.”
The term “little brother” was as endearing as the way the little mermaid referred to him as his leader.
Gu WenCheng held back a smile and stood up, following Li ZouXing back. “The big boss of the mermaid babies, remember to take good care of your little brother.”
“And you have to take care of me too,” Li ZouXing leaned on his shoulder, “I’m your little brother too.”
That was really hard to tell.
Gu WenCheng’s mood improved, “Do you admire me?”
Look at that, they were both smiling.
Li ZouXing nodded very seriously, “I admire you very much. After all, you’re handsome, strong, and have a good temperament.”
Gu WenCheng was about to smile, but then his expression changed, and he seemed to become unhappy again.
As they walked past a cluster of seed flowers, Li ZouXing stuck close to Gu WenCheng’s back, acting very timid. He clung to Gu WenCheng’s arm, almost burying his tall frame entirely in the other’s embrace.
“WenCheng, you must protect the integrity of your little brother,” he said, “Did you see that pile of flowers? They’re all thugs lusting after my beauty.”
Gu WenCheng, who had initially worn a stern expression, suddenly burst into laughter. He turned his head to hide his smile. Where did this guy learn his smooth words? He always had a way of making others laugh.
Li ZouXing also turned his head and leaned closer to him. Gu WenCheng’s laughter abruptly stopped. This familiar scene reminded him of last night when Li ZouXing had relentlessly chased after his lips.
The embarrassment and strange heat that had been ignored all along suddenly surged.
Gu WenCheng quickly turned his head away, but Li ZouXing followed suit.
“You’re laughing secretly,” Li ZouXing said in a somewhat sullen tone, “Is it because I’m not handsome enough? Or I don’t have good looks?”
“… You do,” Gu WenCheng replied.
Li ZouXing still felt it wasn’t enough, “Is it because my figure isn’t good, my muscles aren’t smooth enough?”
Gu WenCheng quickly glanced at him, “It’s fine, they’re good, just a little less than mine.”
Even Li ZouXing himself had admitted this.
Was I talking about your figure?
I was talking about your butt.
Li ZouXing insisted on completing the teasing procedure, “Since my face looks so good, WenCheng, why do you look at everything but me?”
“What’s good about you?” Gu WenCheng mimicked something Li ZouXing had said before, with a slightly sarcastic tone, “Do you have a beauty like a gorgeous woman?”
In just a few exchanges, they had already walked out of the patch of seed flowers. Their teammates were calling the mermaids by the beach to thank them for their assistance and check on their well-being.
The little mermaid was particularly reluctant to part. He remembered the order that the big boss said, ‘boys shouldn’t cry’, so he had been holding back tears, looking both pitiful and amusing. “Big boss, you must remember to visit me.”
THis teary eyes refrained from shedding tears, creating a pitiable yet funny sight.
Li ZouXing felt he was truly sinful. He crouched down and met the gaze of the little mermaid. Letting out a sigh, he said, “Alright, I’ll remember to visit you. Listen to the boss and study hard… study swimming.”
Now that he remembered the story of the disillusionment he had told them about the witch brother turning out to be a woman, he felt embarrassed. Luckily, the mermaids were still quite upright and hadn’t been led astray by him; otherwise, he would never dare set foot on White Star Sea again.
After bidding farewell to the mermaids, they boarded a small spacecraft to head back.
Li ZouXing didn’t frequently use the starnet. He had come out this time to escape the rumors about Walter1Previously it was Wasser, but I decided to change it to Walter. that had become too overwhelming. His intention for accessing the starnet now was to check the current situation on Utopia Star and in the school.
However, as soon as he logged onto the school forum, a notification popped up.
“[Bai Tong will perform at our school during the 310th anniversary celebration.]”
This sentence was bold and highlighted in red. It scrolled five times before disappearing.
“A 310th-anniversary celebration?” Li ZouXing asked, “Has Chengyang Military Academy been around for 310 years?”
“Yes,” Si Wo Lin gathered his courage and answered first. He was trying to integrate into the team and actively display his optimistic and lively side, “310 years.”
However, nobody could see how lively he was in that statement _(:з」∠)_
Ling Nian glanced at the starnet, “Ten days left.”
Three days before the countdown, the school would have all students currently on missions return to campus, and they were back just in time.
Li ZouXing flipped through the content and thought it was good. The entire school seemed to be affected by the school anniversary and had completely forgotten about the rumors concerning Walter and him.
Bai Tong would also sing at their concert. Li ZouXing was curious, “Besides Bai Tong, are there any other celebrities?”
“Perhaps Walter will also come,” Ji Yu quipped with a smirk, “I think he quite likes our school.”
Other people glanced at Ji Yu in silence, wishing they could turn back time to cover his mouth before he said something he shouldn’t.
Xi Nan was upset, “Ji Yu, you’ve said something you shouldn’t again!”
“If Walter appears at the anniversary celebration this time, then you’ll have played a part,” Gu WenCheng joked, “You can go find the principal and ask for a prophecy award from him.”
Go find the principal? The principal would probably just knock him out! Ji Yu made a bitter expression, then corrected himself in time, “No, let’s not do that. After all, ZouXing doesn’t like Walter, so it’s better if Walter doesn’t come.”
Li ZouXing raised a finger and shook it left and right, “No, no, no. I’ve changed my view of Walter. In fact, I really appreciate him now.”
This statement attracted a crowd of gossip-filled glances. After all, they knew how Li ZouXing had felt about Walter before. Walter had first teased him in public, then forcefully made him jump off a building. The fuse for their recent mission had also been ignited by Walter. With all these events stacked up, could Li ZouXing really have changed his mind?
A group of eager eyes were fixed on Li ZouXing. Gu WenCheng’s emotions were mixed; he couldn’t decide if he was feeling happy or annoyed.
Li ZouXing, in front of Walter himself, had lavishly praised him with hundreds of words. The compliments were objective, but listening to them with what had happened last night in mind, Gu WenCheng’s lips tightened more and more.
If it were the past, Li ZouXing would have reported Walter’s whereabouts immediately. However, until now, he hadn’t reported anything to the higher-ups.
Just a kiss, combined with rumors that he was a woman, and this person had undergone such a drastic change.
And he still said that he believed he was a man? If he truly believed Walter was a man, why would he praise him so highly when Walter wasn’t around?
… Damn it, bullsh*t military academy student.
“So, you don’t dislike Walter now,” Gu WenCheng asked with lowered eyes, “Is that right?”
Li ZouXing was a sucker for handsome faces. Not only did he know that Walter had returned to his true self, but even if Walter just had a good-looking face, Li ZouXing could forgive him for some of the things he had done.
Li ZouXing didn’t confirm or deny Gu WenCheng’s statement, leaving himself a way out, “Disliking and appreciating aren’t contradictory, right?”
Gu WenCheng thought deeper into this matter.
Amidst these ever-changing emotions, they finally returned to Chengyang Military Academy.
Chengyang Military Academy placed great importance on ceremonies. In preparation for this celebration, which wasn’t a significant anniversary and didn’t have any special meaning, they had made extensive arrangements. The grandeur was due to the presence of the Imperial Sovereign Emperor and his princesses and princes, who would attend the celebration together.
Upon their return to the school, intelligent robots immediately delivered five sets of clothing to them. The uniform for three-star students was silver-white, with silver light flowing across the surface. It was darker and colder than white, yet lacked the oppressive feeling of black.
When His Majesty the Emperor arrived, all students of Chengyang Military Academy would be present to meet the highest leader of the entire empire. According to the hierarchy, starting from five-star students down, three-star students and above would receive the Emperor’s warm encouragement.
And they happened to be three-star students.
Xi Nan informed Ma Nan about his ability to materialize his mental powers. The school was eager to modify data, creating more students who could materialize their mental powers shortly after the school year began. They had reported this to His Majesty the Emperor with pride.
That same evening they returned to campus, Nana and Sophia visited one after the other.
They arrived at just the right time, encountering each other. A pure girl and a mature woman exchanged a glance, both discerning each other’s intentions and thoughts.
A sense of caution rose within them towards each other. Sophia narrowed her eyes and smiled, striding gracefully to the sofa in the living room, not giving Nana a chance to speak. She turned towards Gu WenCheng and said directly, “At the anniversary party, would I have the honor of being your dance partner?”
Nana’s face turned pale, and she stood behind the sofa, biting her lip.
Even the most clueless person could understand the implications between the two. Ling Nian and Ji Yu, one on each side, pulled Li ZouXing away, dragging the clueless fellow who was still sprawled on the sofa to the side.
Gu WenCheng watched as they led everyone away. He then observed Ji Yu leaning close to Li ZouXing’s ear, whispering something to him.
His eyesight was excellent, and his invisible mental power emerged and drifted toward Li ZouXing. It allowed Gu WenCheng to clearly see the aura when Ji Yu spoke, fluttering the tiny hairs on Li ZouXing’s ear.
His gaze darkened.
“My dear,” Sophia, who was waiting for his response, tousled her hair playfully. She gazed at him with a seductive look, “What do you think of my proposal?”
However, it would take a while for her voice to reach Gu WenCheng’s ears because his mental power transmitted Li ZouXing and Ji Yu’s conversation to him first.
“Those two ladies are both interested in WenCheng,” Ji Yu said.
“Is that so?” Li ZouXing replied, “I just found out.”
His mental power extended into over a hundred strands as thick as hair, enveloping Li ZouXing from head to toe. Every breath he took, every sway of his hair, and even the trembling of his tongue when he spoke could be completely captured by Gu WenCheng.
This was not right.
He shouldn’t be using his mental power for this kind of thing.
It was even a bit twisted.
Advisor Cheng reminded himself in this way, but his mental power, which obeyed his subconscious desires, was merrily encircling Li ZouXing, getting closer and closer. It eventually enclosed Li ZouXing entirely within its embrace.
Li ZouXing continued talking, changing his posture as he did so.
He sat diagonally on the table, his hands resting on the surface behind him. This posture made him look defenseless, his chest and hips exposed to the air. His posture was upright and straightforward, and the shape of that area seemed more pronounced and fuller compared to Sophia’s deliberate provocation. Rather than being directly seductive like Sophia’s approach, his stance seemed to carry a different kind of… provocative implication.
Sophia looked puzzled, “Gu WenCheng?”
Gu WenCheng coughed softly a few times, about to avert his gaze, but Li ZouXing moved again.
His two long and powerful legs, one stepped onto the table, bent into a fold, the other leg casually dangled, his clever mental power instantly surged up between his parted legs, through the triangular area, and directly collided with Li ZouXing’s face.
“Why are you blushing?” Sophia asked playfully, her finger twirling through her hair with a slower and slower motion, “Darling, don’t be like this, I’d go crazy with joy.”
“Sorry, ma’am, I’m not planning to find a dance partner,” Gu WenCheng said.
Sophia, along with Nana, froze in place. “Why?”
“He declined,” Li ZouXing and Ji Yu said. “WenCheng is quite selective.”
Ji Yu sighed. “It’s fine. We’re all alone, so we can bring each other.”
“You’re quite optimistic,” Li ZouXing burst into laughter.
Gu WenCheng’s mood shifted between complex emotions. He couldn’t decide whether he was happy or displeased.
Even the silliest person could see the meaning behind their gestures. Gu WenCheng wrinkled his brow, about to glance at Sophia, but Sophia had already locked eyes with him. She almost seemed at a loss.
“I mean,” Sophia inhaled deeply, summoning courage, and moved to sit beside Gu WenCheng, “Can you tell me the reason?”
Nana envied Sophia’s boldness but couldn’t help secretly mocking her foolishness. In matters of love, even the kindest girls might feel a touch of jealousy.
Gu WenCheng frowned and glanced briefly at Sophia, who was held in place by his look. She seemed somewhat unsure.
“I’ve already said,” his impatience started to show, fading away his gentlemanly demeanor, “I don’t need a dance partner, Ms. Sophia. Can you understand?”
Sophia instinctively responded, “Yes!”
The atmosphere grew more awkward. Suddenly, Li ZouXing got up from the table. “I’m going to the restroom.”
Gu WenCheng was about to stop his mental power from following him, but Nana unexpectedly said, “Then, Gu WenCheng… rest well.”
She interrupted Gu WenCheng’s intention to dismiss his mental power. By the time she finished her sentence, Gu WenCheng’s spiritual power had already obediently followed Li ZouXing into the bathroom.
Gu WenCheng’s expression changed multiple times. He swore he hadn’t become so twisted.
In the restroom, Li ZouXing leisurely placed his hand on his belt.
His surrounding mental power seemed slightly embarrassed. It quickly retreated for a moment and then, in the next second, playfully surged back around him, as if hesitant. It surged up from between his parted legs, passed through the triangle zone, and bumped directly into Li ZouXing’s face.
The sensation of being observed caused Li ZouXing’s hair to stand on end, and his skin taut.
However, this taut state accentuated the attractive contours of his back.
He never expected Gu WenCheng to be a voyeur.
Li ZouXing let the water run, humming a tune.
… A little perverted.

Li ZouXing: Being observed like this, there’s so much fun to be had, isn’t there?
