The faint aroma of minty sake pheromones subtly wafted through the air. The scent was clean and refreshing, with a hint of bittersweetness. Zhou Zhou involuntarily shivered. His legs nearly gave way.

It wasn’t just because his lewd imagination had been caught red-handed, but also because he was, after all, an Omega. He was susceptible to the irresistible pull of the pheromones emitted by the Alpha he admired.

Yu Yang had given up on slamming into walls. He turned around instead, wearing a visibly awkward expression as he looked at Zhou Zhou.

The atmosphere was tense. Zhou Zhou felt like he was shrinking away. If anyone dared to say the word ‘kneel’ right now, he felt like he’d immediately drop to his knees and bow three times as a bonus.

He licked his lips and turned to face Cheng Che—someone who was easily half a head taller than him—and put on a bright, confident smile.

“Ha-ha-ha-ha…! Isn’t this Cheng Che? How come you have time to talk to me today?”

“…”

Yu Yang found this situation incredibly awkward. He really wanted to escape this suffocating predicament immediately.

However, Zhou Zhou’s hand, placed firmly on his back, clung to the hem of his clothes. It prevented him from leaving.

Yu Yang had no idea where to look. After a hug, where should he place his hands? He still couldn’t control his breathing properly. Should he breathe out his beautiful name on the glass window…

He really wished he could just die right now. He could only tilt his head back and stare at the peeling lime plaster on the corridor ceiling.

It looked like the bald head of the Headmaster, Yu Yang thought.

The moment this thought crossed his mind, Yu Yang couldn’t help but burst into laughter.

“See? Yu Yang is happy too!” Zhou Zhou pulled Yu Yang beside him and pinched his waist, causing him to yelp in pain. Yu Yang had to maintain a smiling face to corroborate Zhou Zhou’s claim that he was happy, which made his already wretched-looking face even more pitiful.

“Yeah, yeah  I’m really happy,” Yu Yang rubbed his sore waist and awkwardly spoke up, “Cheng Che, I heard you won another award in the maths competition this time?”

“It was the chemistry competition,” Cheng Che corrected.

Zhou Zhou immediately chimed in, “I told you so! Last time you participated in the maths competition. How could it be maths again this time?”

Cheng Che looked at him, “Last time was the physics competition.”

Zhou Zhou didn’t even want to continue the conversation at this point. He was afraid that if they kept talking, he’d end up kneeling down, begging and crying while saying; “I’m an Omega. Please spare me. I really can’t resist you. In front of you, I’m just a brainless idiot.”

“Oh… well, congratulations, then. Bringing honour to the school, you’re our role model,” Zhou Zhou attempted to flee, “We’re about to have a class. We can chat later!”

Upon hearing this, Yu Yang turned and sprinted back to his classroom. His speed rivalled the speed of Liu Xiang, the hurdler.

Zhou Zhou also wanted to escape. His eyes wandered as he slowly moved his steps, “Aren’t you going back to the classroom? Why don’t you go? We have a class. Isn’t it not good for you to stay here like this?”

Cheng Che casually extended one hand, pressing it against the wall beside Zhou Zhou’s shoulder. It blocked his path.

What’s with this Kabedon move? Is it appropriate? I’m an Alpha now! What if someone sees us like this? Is it alright for two Alphas to be so ambiguous?!

As Zhou Zhou thought all this, his eyes rapidly darted around. He realised that the corner they were standing in was relatively empty. So, not many people would notice.

Even if they notice, so what? We’re innocent!

“I just heard you say that Cheng Che has cute little fangs,” Cheng Che said slowly, “Did I mishear it?”

Zhou Zhou didn’t doubt Cheng Che’s hearing for a second. He felt that Cheng Che had probably heard his earlier comment about Cheng Che’s ‘fangs being suitable for biting his gland’ loud and clear.
