TATLC Chapter 14

Today was Chen Xiao Mi’s lucky day, he had caught a wild boar after days of coming home empty-handed.

Many villagers had seen him, but no one dared to approach Chen Xiao Mi or talk to him because of his bad reputation. They all looked at him with jealousy.

Chen Xiao Cai and Chen Xiao Mai were mesmerized seeing that.

Chen Xiao Mi was also in a good mood, he slaughtered the wild boar into pieces, he planned to keep the bones for himself and sell the other parts at a good price.

Lu Lin cooked stir-fried tofu with garlic and bone broth porridge for dinner.

The Chinese Yam porridge was delicious, and the Chen siblings seemed to enjoy it very much, but Lu Lin was constantly looking for diverse food.

Lu Lin was very happy when Chen Xiao Mi slaughtered the boar.  Bones were rich in calcium and collagen, but the people of that time and space did not realize it and they did not make good use of the bones.

Lu Lin boiled the broth for over two hours until all the ingredients were golden.

Pork tripe is also a good ingredient, very expensive in modern society, but unfortunately Chen Xiao Mi doesn’t know how to cook pork tripe, he used to throw pork tripe away like trash.

“Can I go with you?”

Chen Xiao Mi nodded: “Okay, but you also have to walk.”

Lu Lin nodded, he was interested in seeing the city center.

It happened many years ago, surely no one would continue this matter.

“I will find a buyer for you, but it all depends on luck, how much you can sell them for.”

Lu Lin smiled: “That’s fine, we can use the money to buy things for the winter.”

Chen Xiao Mi was satisfied to hear that answer, yes, they needed a lot of goods for the winter.
