HD Chapter 9

Doc3. Kissing is allowed

It’s not clear if it was the conversation between Xu Zhi and Zhou Mu about him moving out that made Zhou Mu feel insecure, but in any case, at exactly 3 AM, when Xu Zhi was following his own biological clock and preparing to go to sleep, Zhou Mu knocked on the door.

He said in a very unafraid tone what only a timid person would say, “The light in the living room is out, and I don’t dare to sleep by myself.”

Xu Zhi tried to persuade him, “When I was writing the character outline, you were not timid.”

In fact, many things about Zhou Mu were overturned in just two days.

When Xu Zhi told Zhou Mu that he was not afraid of the dark, Zhou Mu had that ‘how could you say such an outrageous thing’ expression on his face, which made Xu Zhi reflect on whether he had gone too far.

“If I sleep in the living room by myself,” Zhou Mu was sitting very close to him, and when he said this, he moved closer to Xu Zhi, “Aren’t you worried about me?”

He was wearing the light gray robe that Xu Zhi gave him, and his movements gave off a very light smell of laundry detergent.

It’s the same as Xu Zhi’s.

Xu Zhi shook his head.

“Why should I worry about you?” Xu Zhi held his hand on the bed and moved to the side, slightly away from the smell that made him nervous.

“Oh,” Zhou Mu seemed to think about it seriously, and then asked, “Aren’t you worried?”

A warm floor lamp of the same style as the living room stood beside Xu Zhi’s bed. Half of Zhou Mu’s face was surrounded by the light, and he showed a serious expression that would make Xu Zhi feel soft.

So Xu Zhi compromised. After all, leaving a novel character alone in the living room might cause problems.

Xu Zhi stood up and looked down at Zhou Mu, “Let’s go.”

Zhou Mu raised his head and looked at Xu Zhi, “Huh?”

Xu Zhi glanced at his questioning face and walked straight out the door, “Go and bring the sofa in.”

Zhou Mu: ……

Just like how a king can give orders at will in his castle, Xu Zhi enjoys absolute command power in this family.

He allowed Zhou Mu to enter the king’s bedroom, but he was not allowed to sleep on the bed.

So Zhou Mu slept on the sofa that he had already slept on all night after being moved into Xu Zhi’s bedroom.

Xu Zhi had never had the experience of sleeping in the same room with others. Although he and Zhou Mu slept separately, the sound of the other person’s breathing at night was obviously too loud.

Xu Zhi’s biological clock and the sleeping pills prescribed by Wen Shuyao lost their effectiveness. He tossed and turned in bed several times without feeling sleepy.

Zhou Mu’s breathing was very slow, and he seemed to have fallen asleep.

Xu Zhi sat for a while, letting his mind work, and then got up quietly. He walked barefoot to the sofa and observed Zhou Mu in the dim light coming from the bedroom.

Perhaps it was because he had just arrived and was not deeply involved in the world, but Zhou Mu always had a seriousness that was inconsistent with his age, which could also be called naive.

His words never contain inner meaning. He will say to Xu Zhi directly, “Xu Zhi, has anyone told you that you are beautiful?” He will also say without any fluctuation in tone, “Xu Zhi, I can’t live without you.”

But like all 27-year-old men, he is proficient in various life skills.

Xu Zhi looked at Zhou Mu and was distracted for a moment.

At this moment, Zhou Mu opened his eyes, and the two of them looked at each other unpreparedly.

Xu Zhi was startled, let out a soft breath, and staggered back a few steps.

Zhou Mu quickly sat up and grabbed Xu Zhi’s wrist when he was about to fall to the ground.

“What’s wrong?” Zhou Mu helped Xu Zhi stand firm, not caring that he stayed up late at night, and peeked at him, “Can’t you sleep?”

Xu Zhi nodded and invented a rather unreasonable excuse, “You were snoring, and it disturbed me.”

Zhou Mu: “…”

“Xu Zhi,” Zhou Mu chuckled and said, “I haven’t fallen asleep yet.”

There were no lights on in the bedroom, and the sound of breathing could be clearly heard when talking in the dark. It was like two people talking quietly together, with some subtle ambiguity.

Xu Zhi couldn’t help but guess what Zhou Mu’s expression was like at this time. His voice sounded a little doting. Was his expression very gentle?

Xu Zhi was startled by his own wild speculations and sat down on the bed, feeling somewhat guilty.

Zhou Mu stood up from the sofa and slowly moved to sit next to Xu Zhi, breathing closer.

“Would you like me to keep you company and talk?” Zhou Mu asked.

Deliberately, he spoke with his lips close to Xu Zhi’s ear. In the darkness, Xu Zhi couldn’t see how close they were, but he could sense that a slight tilt of his head would bring those thin lips brushing against his ear.

“No need.” Xu Zhi refused, his voice a little nervous.

He sat stiffly on the bed. He was not sure if it was an illusion, but he felt that Zhou Mu’s breathing rate was faster than before.

“Go back.” Xu Zhi said, reaching out and pushing Zhou Mu, but he didn’t calculate the position well.

He originally wanted to push Zhou Mu on the shoulder, but his position was lowered.

Zhou Mu’s robe had a large neckline and was casually open to both sides, so Xu Zhi’s cold hands pressed directly on his hot chest.

Xu Zhi thought that if he turned on the lights now, he would definitely be able to see Zhou Mu looking very wanton.

He only reacted for two seconds and was about to pull his hand back, but was held down by Zhou Mu.

Xu Zhi wanted to stay cool while sleeping. The air conditioning temperature was very low, and he didn’t cover himself with a quilt, so his hands were a little cold.

“You didn’t cover yourself with a quilt?” Zhou Mu grabbed Xu Zhi’s hand, pinched it, and rubbed it twice, “Why is it so cold?”

Xu Zhi’s hands didn’t feel as thin as they looked. They were soft and felt like mutton-fat jade with a warm texture.

“What does it have to do with you,” Xu Zhi whispered, pulling back his hand and ignoring his concerned tone, “You’d better keep your distance from me.”

As he said this, he started pushing Zhou Mu again, “Go back to bed quickly.”

“Why?” Zhou Mu refused to leave, “Why do we have to keep a distance?”

“There’s no reason,” Xu Zhi said, “Isn’t it right to keep a distance?”

Zhou Mu changed again at this time and became a person with excessive curiosity. He insisted on Xu Zhi giving him an explanation, as if if Xu Zhi didn’t give him a definite answer, Zhou Mu would not go to bed obediently.

Xu Zhi thought of many ways to answer this question, such as “You are very dangerous”, “I still don’t trust you very much” and so on.

But at last, he heard himself say, “I like men.”

“Hm,” Zhou Mu responded, seemingly not surprised, and asked Xu Zhi, “So, from what I understand, I’m attractive to you?”

Xu Zhi did not answer the question but said in a lower voice, “I wrote you.”

He didn’t know why he said it; he just felt a bit embarrassed, and there was a shallow level of anticipation, so shallow that he wasn’t even sure if this anticipation was real.

“If you need it,” broke the silence and said with a lack of emotion, “I can do that.”

Xu Zhi’s heartbeat suddenly skipped a beat.

Zhou Mu’s words were very ambiguous. Xu Zhi didn’t know what they meant, so he began to regret not turning on the light; otherwise, he could judge by observing Zhou Mu’s expression.

“Xu Zhi?” Zhou Mu called him.

“What do you mean?” Xu Zhi had to ask him, “What can you do?”

“It means,” Zhou Mu took Xu Zhi’s hand and put it on his shoulder, “You don’t need to keep your distance from me; you can do anything to me.”

“I will be very happy to accomodate,” Zhou Mu said.

It is now around four o’clock in the morning, which is when people’s minds are groggy. It is said that when people are not fully awake, it is easy for their bodies to be dominated by desires.

Xu Zhi wasn’t quite awake either. He felt the heat on Zhou Mu’s shoulder and moved forward as if he were bewitched.

The distance between the two of them was so close that their noses were about to collide.

Zhou Mu took the initiative. He put his forehead against Xu Zhi’s, rubbed the side of Xu Zhi’s face with the tip of his nose, and asked Xu Zhi, “Do you want to kiss me or have sex?”

The tone was natural, as if they were meant to be.

Xu Zhi’s heartbeat accelerated slowly, and the organ the size of an adult’s fist bumped in the chest without any rhythm, as if it were about to break through the confinement of the ribs and hit the outside.

Xu Zhi’s Adam’s apple moved, and his voice was dry and hoarse as he said, “Kiss.”

As soon as he finished speaking, Zhou Mu came up to him.

One of his hands reached the back of Xu Zhi’s neck, and the other gently pinched his chin. His lips slowly moved from the side of Xu Zhi’s face, and he kissed him three times with soft and dry kisses, one on the side of Xu Zhi’s face, the tip of the nose, and the corners of the mouth.

For the fourth time, their lips touched, and Xu Zhi recalled an electric shock accident in his childhood without any warning.

He was only 8 years old at the time. Due to the negligence of his nanny, he stepped on the plug of the washing machine with his bare feet covered in water. He only remembers that the electric current spread from the soles of his feet to the side of his waist, making him unbearably numb.

If he hadn’t been able to think at this moment, he would have suspected that he was experiencing the second electric shock accident in his life.

In addition, the contact point this time was obviously on the lips, but the numbness spread from the heart, so Xu Zhi confirmed that he did not get an electric shock.

He was kissing Zhou Mu.

Sensing that Xu Zhi was distracted, Zhou Mu bit his lower lip with some force, “Pay attention.”

Xu Zhi began to kiss Zhou Mu attentively. The tip of Zhou Mu’s tongue was like a lively fish, swimming along Xu Zhi’s mouth and swaying around Xu Zhi’s tongue.

The kiss lasted for a long time. It was so long that Xu Zhi was out of breath before Zhou Mu withdrew his tongue.

He sucked Xu Zhi’s lower lip again and again and asked him, with unsteady breath, “Do you like it?”

The tone was serious, as if discussing some serious academic issue.

“Liking it or not,” Xu Zhi said, “What does it have to do with it?”

Zhou Mu stopped licking and gently rubbed Xu Zhi’s lips with his thumb, “If you like it, I will continue. If you don’t like it, I will improve it.”

“Why?” Xu Zhi asked.

Why improve?

“Because I exist for you,” Zhou Mu said, “Everything about me belongs to you for no reason.”

Xu Zhi blinked in the darkness and said softly, “I like it.”

Then they continue.

Doc3: On July 13, Xu Zhi confirmed that he had experienced the second electric shock accident in his life, and the culprit was Zhou Mu.
