He Jing thought he might have seen it wrong and walked towards the window to get a clearer view.
His WeChat beeped.
Wife: [Jing-ge, come to the balcony quickly!]
He Jing: “…”
It turned out he wasn’t mistaken; the familiar figure was indeed Ye Ting.
Heading to the balcony, the young man was waving at him on tiptoes.
He Jing had good eyesight and could clearly see that Ye Ting was only wearing a pair of briefs. His white skin almost glowed in the warm-toned light, and the plump buttocks wrapped in the small briefs, along with those slender legs, were partially hidden by the railing, sparking imaginative thoughts.
Fortunately, although these were row houses, there were walls separating the two buildings. As long as the neighbors didn’t stand on the rooftop, they wouldn’t be able to see into each other’s homes.
He Jing still furrowed his brows.
When did this young man come over?
How could someone move into a house that had just been decorated?
What if the neighbor next door happened to be on the rooftop and saw the young man like this?
The young man across was still enthusiastically waving at him, and he even twisted his waist and hips.
He Jing’s eyes grew even deeper.
Perhaps seeing that he wasn’t responding, the young man stopped and turned back into the house, not sure if he was angry.
He Jing stood on the balcony, unmoving.
Half a minute later, the young man returned, holding a box of ice cream. He scooped up a spoonful and put it in his mouth, smiling at him.
He Jing still silently observed.
The vegetable gardens of both houses lacked lights, with only the balcony lights illuminating the young man. Under the dim light, the young man’s beautiful face appeared enchanting and pure.
He Jing remained unmoved.
Seeing that the man didn’t react, Ye Ting felt a bit frustrated. He deliberately let the ice cream from the spoon fall onto his chest and then slowly stroked his chest with his fingers, licking up the ice cream from his fingers with his tongue.
He Jing silently watched, his throat rolling.
The young man, however, didn’t stop and repeated the action once more.
He Jing lowered his gaze, turned around, and walked back into the room.
He slowly went to the cloakroom, found a bathrobe, held it in his hand, and slowly descended the stairs.
Passing through the living room, he headed to the first-floor balcony, propped himself on the railing, and jumped into the vegetable garden.
He still moved at a leisurely pace, stepping through the muddy vegetable garden until he reached the railing of the opposite villa.
Ye Ting never expected the man to come directly over. Holding the ice cream, he stood there in a daze.
He was wearing only a pair of white briefs, and because of the ice cream on his chest, it turned reddish. With his legs straight and slender, he stood there, looking blank and innocent.
The vegetable garden was about half a meter lower than the balcony. He Jing tilted his head, his gaze deep and mysterious, staring at the young man.
There was a dangerous vibe in his eyes.
Being looked at like this, Ye Ting’s breathing suddenly became rapid, tinged with excitement.
He locked eyes with the man, vaguely understanding the meaning of the fiery look in the man’s eyes.
However, the man quickly veiled his gaze, propped on the railing, and jumped back onto the balcony.
Ye Ting couldn’t help but take a step back. When he saw the man walking straight towards him, he cutely stopped and sweetly called out, “Jing-ge.”
He Jing looked at him with deep eyes but didn’t respond.
After a moment, the man suddenly moved, wrapping the bathrobe around the young man and lifting him horizontally in one swift motion.
Ye Ting exclaimed in surprise, tightly hugging the man’s neck.
The man’s bathrobe was large, carrying the scent of the man, enveloping him entirely.
He Jing remained silent, carrying the person as he walked towards the living room.
Entering the house, he discovered that only the first floor was renovated, while the stairs to the second floor remained in the cement state from the time of handover.
No wonder it was completed in less than three months; turns out, only the first floor was renovated.
Ye Ting felt a bit embarrassed, playing with the collar of his pajamas with his fingers. “I just wanted to live closer to you. It’s your fault for not letting me into your home.”
He Jing lowered his head to look at him. “I didn’t let you in?”
Ye Ting complained with a hum, “Yes, you always chased me away, afraid I’d do something inappropriate.”
He Jing was momentarily taken aback. Indeed, he used to ask the young man to leave each time, not out of disdain but because he feared he couldn’t control… He didn’t know how to explain this misunderstanding to the young man.
He carried the young man out.
Ye Ting twisted and fidgeted, “Where are you taking me? I want to sleep.”
He actually wished for the man to take him away, expressing his protest against the man’s past indifference.
He Jing, feeling both amused and exasperated, pinched his ear. “Behave.”
The streetlights in the neighborhood were dim, surrounded by dense shrubs and tall trees casting large patches of shadows.
The two figures stretched long under the streetlights.
Ye Ting hugged the man’s neck, smiling contentedly. “Husband, look, our shadows are overlapping.”
He Jing looked at the shadows. As he held the young man, their shadows indeed overlapped, long and profound.
He kissed the young man’s forehead, took a detour, and brought the young man back to his own home.
Placing the young man on the sofa, he didn’t speak to him, turning and heading to the entrance.
Ye Ting felt a bit uneasy, thinking that the older man might be angry, blaming himself for coming over without permission. He nervously fidgeted with the sofa cushion, shifting his weight.
Soon, He Jing returned, sitting beside the young man, and said, “Give me your hand.”
Ye Ting pouted in a somewhat aggrieved manner, “Are you… Are you going to hit my hand? I was wrong…”
Well, being obedient and admitting mistakes was never wrong.
He lowered his head, not seeing the hint of a smile that flashed in He Jing’s eyes.
He Jing repeated in a low voice, “Quickly, give me your hand.”
Ye Ting had no choice but to stretch out his hand, placing it obediently in front of the man.
In the next moment, the man placed a set of keys and an access card in his hand, saying, “The access card allows you to enter and exit the community gate, the keys open the anti-theft door, and the door code is your birthday.”
Ye Ting widened his eyes, unbelievingly lifting his head and staring at the man.
He Jing smiled faintly, “You can come here anytime.”
Ye Ting remained in a daze.
He Jing pinched his delicate and pretty nose, “Will you still say I won’t let you in later?”
Only then did Ye Ting come to his senses, joyfully holding the keys and card in his palm, coquettishly saying, “You used to always chase me away.”
On this point, He Jing couldn’t deny it; the young man obviously minded it.
He fell silent for a few seconds, then suddenly, he clamped the young man under the arms, lifted him onto his lap, spread the young man’s legs apart, making the young man sit facing him,

He gazed with dimming eyes, biting his earlobe, “Didn’t you wonder why I always sent you away? This is the reason.”
At first, Ye Ting didn’t react.
Until the man bit his ear again.
He hesitated, “So, you… you actually really want me, but you’ve been holding back, not letting me know?”
He pursed his lips, “Mm, something like that.”
Ye Ting’s bright eyes looked at him, showing both joy and regret, “Why endure? I love you so much, you can have me whenever you want.”
With the young man’s heartfelt affection, how could He Jing not be moved?
He kissed the young man’s tender cheek and suddenly laid him horizontally, letting the young man lie across his legs. Then, he raised his hand and lightly spanked the plump buttocks, “Alright, it’s my turn to settle the score with you.”
The force wasn’t strong, but the man’s warm and broad palm made Ye Ting feel extremely embarrassed.
He buried his face in the sofa cushion, showing a particularly apologetic attitude, “Darling, I was wrong, I shouldn’t have come to bother you so late…”
He Jing gave another slap, “Think about where you went wrong.”

Ye Ting’s heart trembled, tilting his face upward, devoutly gazing at the man who had turned his soul upside down, his beloved. “I will never regret.”
