RCQT Chapter 88

Idol Talent Show

According to the schedule, during the day, Wu Tian practices dance and Getao focuses on teaching singing. As for the remaining time after the classes end, it’s up to the students to arrange on their own.

Class A.

After finishing a round of training, Ye Lunguo rested, supporting his hands on his knees. When he felt a bit better, he resumed the training.

Silently gazing into the mirror, he recalled himself dancing just a while ago, with the entire body seemingly marked with the three big characters “Not Coordinated.”

In the end, unable to resist, he let out a sigh, “It’s so difficult…”

Chu Qianze had just walked in from outside when he heard Ye Lunguo’s words. He handed over a bottle of mineral water in his hand, “Thirsty?”

“Thanks, Xiao Ze.” Ye Lunguo twisted off the bottle cap, and with a gulp, he took several big sips.

Xiao Ze?

“No need to thank me.” Chu Qianze raised an eyebrow, placing two more bottles from his hands onto the ground.

At this moment, Rong Jinghe was practicing dance, while Hong was memorizing lyrics.

“The water is here for you. Take it if you need.” Addressing both of them, Chu Qianze sat cross-legged on the floor, staring blankly at a dance video.

Ye Lunguo set down his water, clicked on the music, preparing to resume his practice.

Chu Qianze was leisurely drifting through space with nothing particular to do when Ye Lunguo suddenly entered his field of view. Observing the other’s movements keenly, his expression momentarily blank, even the frequency of his blinking seemed to increase.

After practicing several times, Ye Lunguo, exhausted, crawled and rolled over to Chu Qianze, starting to recharge in a corpse-like position. “I’m dead tired, I can’t go on.”

“Are you okay?” Chu Qianze asked.

“…Still alive.” Sweat droplets rolled down his face, looking half-dead and lifeless.

“It’s too hard. Why do my moves look so weird, while yours and Brother Jinghe’s moves look so good?”

Chu Qianze raised his arm and did a wave, “Like this?”

“Yeah, it feels like we’re not doing the same move.” Ye Lunguo also did a wave and then rolled to the side.

It was like being hit by a shockwave, a complete downgrade and obliteration.

“Try another one?” Chu Qianze suggested.

Ye Lunguo puffed up his cheeks and, following the previous movements, repeated them.

Staring at his actions, Chu Qianze remained silent for a moment.

“What do we do? Is there no hope?” Ye Lunguo wore a full expression of sorrow.

“Actually, it’s because of the basics.” Chu Qianze didn’t mince words and provided a straightforward answer.

“I know that too. My basics are really bad.” Ye Lunguo hung his head low, utterly disheartened.

“Xiao Ze, do you have any ideas?”

“Xiao Ze?” Why does he call myself that? Does he look that young?

Chu Qianze’s expression remained unchanged. He raised one index finger and made a “1” gesture, “Call me Brother Chu, and I’ll help you.”

“Brother Chu!” Ye Lunguo didn’t hesitate.

Hearing this address, Chu Qianze smiled, “Say it again?”

“Brother Chu, please help me!” Ye Lunguo’s face was full of expectation.

“Haha, sure, starting now?” Chu Qianze stood up and began to move his limbs and waist.

“Yeah, thanks, Brother Chu! My future is in your hands!” Ye Lunguo shouted with great affection.

Rong Jinghe finished his practice at this moment and was ready for a break.

Seeing Chu Qianze and Ye Lunguo having an animated conversation, he walked over and picked up the water nearby. “Is this mine?”

Chu Qianze nodded, “Yes.”

“Thanks.” Taking a sip, he leaned against the nearby wall, using a towel to wipe away his sweat.

Calculating the time, he decided to start memorizing lyrics during the break.

Meanwhile, Hong, overhearing the conversation, couldn’t resist walking over, “What were you guys talking about just now?”

“Brother Chu is going to teach me how to dance.”

Ye Lunguo had fully recharged by now, returning to his energetic state from the beginning.

“Teach you how to dance?”

Upon hearing about this opportunity, Hong’s eyes lit up. He spread his arms and seemed ready to pounce over to Chu Qianze. “Save me, Ah Ze! Can you save me too?”

Chu Qianze quickly stepped aside, “Wait, don’t come over. You’re all sweaty, don’t pounce on me!”

Hong froze in mid-motion, clasping his hands in a pleading gesture, “Help me, please.”

“Of course, no problem.”

Chu Qianze cleared his throat, maintaining a dignified expression, and signaled to Ye Lunguo with a glance.

Understanding the cue, Ye Lunguo gestured with an OK sign and looked at Hong with a stern face, “You can’t be like this. At least show some sincerity! I’ve already called him Brother Chu. What’s your plan?”

“Brother Chu?”

Hong scratched his head, pondered for a moment, and then suddenly realized. He clenched his left fist and slapped it into his right palm, “I got it!”

Nodding, Chu Qianze struck a pose, awaiting the other’s next move.

“Daddy Chu! Save me, Daddy Chu!”

The voice was exceptionally loud, filled with sincere emotion—a mix of three parts expectation, three parts misery, and four parts pitiful.

Pfft—

Rong Jinghe was in the middle of drinking water and almost sprayed it out upon hearing this.

Inside the training room, due to Hong’s booming voice, the whole place fell into a hushed silence, and all eyes were fixed on the three of them.

Chu Qianze’s mouth twitched, “Am I that old? Change the address, quickly.”

Hong grinned and promptly altered his tone, “Brother, teach me, please.”

“Alright, let’s do it together then.” Chu Qianze moved to the side, making space for both of them.

“First, you two try it on your own, and I’ll see how it goes.”

After watching once, Chu Qianze rested his fingers against his chin, contemplating his words, “You’ve remembered the movements, which is good. However, there are some issues with the details.”

He positioned himself in front of the mirror, gestured to the two behind him, and snapped his fingers, “Let’s start with the first section. Pay attention to the details and repeat it three times. Each fixed point should be precisely hit. Look at my movement; it’s fixed at this angle every time. You can face the mirror and find which pose looks the best, the most handsome, the kind that can captivate people. Practice it until it becomes muscle memory, and it will be much more comfortable.”

After demonstrating once with the two, Chu Qianze stepped aside, “That’s roughly it. For the final move, add a little more force. Feel it for yourselves. Once you think it’s about right, we can move on to the next section.”

While Rong Jinghe had the lyrics in hand, he wasn’t continuing with his practice; instead, he observed the training of the three.

He felt that Chu Qianze’s guidance was spot-on, not only pinpointing the issues but also clearly indicating solutions. Particularly when explaining Hong’s movements, there was a detailed aspect where Rong Jinghe realized he had the same problem. Suddenly, he experienced a feeling of enlightenment.

Seeing the three of them becoming more enthusiastic in their dancing, Rong Jinghe also felt a bit tempted, but…

He had been listening to their conversation just now. Thinking about that address, he felt a subtle discomfort rising within him.

Suppressing the uneasiness, he decided to focus on re-memorizing the lyrics instead.

“Alright, that’s it. Dance one more time, get the hang of this feeling.”

After watching Ye Lunguo’s second round of movements, Chu Qianze tilted his head and smiled, “How… do you feel?”

Ye Lunguo chuckled a few times, a bit embarrassed, “Well, it’s gone back to how it was, I guess.”

Sighing, Chu Qianze waved his hand, “Practice a few more times, try to regain that feeling.”

After that, he shifted his gaze to Hong, “It’s your turn.”

After one round:

Chu Qianze: “Very good, you’ve got that feeling. One more time, reinforce the memory.”

Second round:

Chu Qianze’s facial muscles twitched for a moment, and he clapped his hands, “Did you two make a pact to mess with me? How did it go back to the starting point on the second try?”

Hong scratched his head, exchanged a glance with Ye Lunguo, and looked a bit embarrassed.

“While you’re dancing, it’s like this.”

“Like this movement.”

Chu Qianze demonstrated, “During these transitions, your limbs look a bit awkward. Twist them like I do, with a larger amplitude. Yes, continue, one more time.”

After instructing the two for a while, Chu Qianze bent down to pick up the water bottle nearby and took a hearty sip for himself.

Seeing Ye Lunguo, Chu Qianze couldn’t help but shout, “It’s like this again! Don’t make your movements so stiff. Twist your upper body with it. Just imagine there’s a girl you like in front of you. Hey, when you like someone, you want to act cute, bring out that kind of sticky enthusiasm, okay?”

“Got it!” Ye Lunguo put on a serious expression, trying hard to imagine.

“Are you meeting your arch-nemesis or something?”

Chu Qianze sighed, feeling a bit exhausted, “Take a short break, think about it yourself.”

Hong and Ye Lunguo immediately relaxed, each leaning on the other as if using them as crutches.

Chu Qianze: “I feel like teaching you is akin to teaching swimming.”

Hearing this, Ye Lunguo raised his head to look at Chu Qianze, curious, “Why?”

“Because not only can you move forward and move your arms freely, but when necessary, you can also activate the diving skill.”

Glancing at the two, Chu Qianze put on a polite smile, “You can even swim backward.”

“Damn, that last line is the key!” Hong understood and gave Chu Qianze a direct pat on the shoulder.

“Mouthy calling me Brother Chu sounds nice, but your actions reveal your true feelings.”

Chu Qianze rubbed his shoulder and retorted with a lack of enthusiasm.

“Brother Chu, Brother Chu, you’re the most handsome. From now on, we’re your loyal appendages, hanging on you like that.” Hong changed his tone dramatically, smiling in a flattering manner.

“No thanks. I don’t want sweaty accessories. Just nail the dance, and I’ll be grateful.”

Chu Qianze raised his hand and waved it to the side, turning away without hiding his disdain.

Hong rolled his eyes, while Ye Lunguo laughed until his stomach hurt.

In the midst of their banter, Rong Jinghe walked over.

He stood in front of Chu Qianze, pursed his lips, looking a bit uneasy, “Could you guys take me with you when you practice later?”

Before Chu Qianze could respond, Hong immediately spoke up, “Brother Jinghe, there are rules in the martial arts world! Taking someone as a disciple has conditions!”

Saying those words, Hong felt a refreshing sensation, suddenly understanding the joy Ye Lunguo had just experienced.

Rong Jinghe licked his lips, swallowed twice, and looked up at Chu Qianze, “Can you take me with you… Brother Chu?”

Chu Qianze took a sip of water and glanced at him, “No problem, everyone can come together.”

“Thanks, Brother Chu.” Rong Jinghe had already adjusted his attitude by now.

In his mind, since he was seeking guidance, there was no problem addressing the other as “Brother”.

“Can you help me check my movements?”

“Sure, why don’t you give it a try first?” Chu Qianze suggested.

“Alright.”

The music played, and Rong Jinghe lifted one hand, moving his body in rhythm.

Chu Qianze stood beside him, watching the reflection in the mirror, deep in thought as he rested his chin on his hand.

As the music ended, Rong Jinghe shifted his gaze to Chu Qianze, waiting for his evaluation.

“In fact, there’s not much issue with your movements, and your balance is well-maintained. However, there’s a slight peculiarity in the details that makes people want to point it out. Specifically, where…” Chu Qianze bit his lip, deep in thought, unable to find a suitable description. He decided to stand beside Rong Jinghe.

“Let’s go through it together and see if there’s anything different.” His gaze fell on Hong and Ye Lunguo, “Help with the evaluation.”

The accompaniment started.

Tap-tap-tap, lift the hand, pause, swing it out, pause,

The two encountered steps, crazy steps.

As the music ended, applause echoed in the practice room.

At some point, several members of Class A had gathered nearby, watching their practice.

Chu Qianze retracted his movements, unable to suppress a smile. His gaze fell on Rong Jinghe, and he called out, “Wait, don’t move! Maintain the posture from just now.”

He went behind Rong Jinghe and pointed to the reflection in the mirror, “I know what’s wrong now. Look at your own eyes.”

“When you were smiling just now, your expression was much livelier than when you were dancing. Follow me, turn up the corners of your mouth, squint your eyes, smile—”

“What’s that? It’s a bit creepy… like you’re about to fight someone.”

Unable to bear it, Chu Qianze came in front of him, using both hands to adjust Rong Jinghe’s face, “Look at me, don’t look away, stare into my eyes.”

Seeing the other looking at him, Chu Qianze blinked at him, then adjusted his facial muscles, automatically recalling pleasant memories.

The corners of his mouth curled up, eyes slightly raised, and the most lethal part was those eyes, carefree and bold, exuding a captivating charm that made people want to indulge in them.

Releasing his hands, stepping back a few steps, Chu Qianze retracted his expression, “Did you see it clearly? It’s probably that kind of feeling.”

Rong Jinghe frowned slightly, pondering the recent flutter in his heart. After a brief pause, he replied, “…I think I got a sense of it.”

“Practice a bit more.”

Combing back the stray hair to the side, Chu Qianze glanced at the time. After playing a bit more, he could go have a meal.

Turning around and looking up, he saw the remaining four students, staring at him with a certain… unsettling feeling.

“Brother Chu!!”

“Daddy Chu!!”

“Grandpa Chu!!”

“Ancestor, you are my ancestor!”

Oh no.
