MOFB Chapter 28

There was a moment when Jiang Heng admitted to himself that his thoughts had taken a naughty turn again. Recently, his mind seemed to be influenced by some congratulatory words, always leaning towards less clean thoughts. The nature of Shen Huaizhi was mostly driven by considerations of taking care of himself. Jiang Heng bit his lip, closed the door, and the smell of disinfectant in the infirmary seemed to intensify. However, Shen Huaizhi was standing behind him, perhaps having just exercised, with a faint scent on him, a hint of coolness, but not quite distinct. Mixed with Jiang Heng’s own attempt to mask the alpha scent with red wine, there was an intriguing and unique aroma.

Jiang Heng’s fingers on his waist moved, and suddenly he chuckled, “Class monitor, I’ll lift it then.” Dismissing those messy thoughts, Jiang Heng thought it was not a big deal; after all, it wasn’t undressing, and he had seen people undress on the basketball court before. After saying that, without giving Shen Huaizhi any time to respond, his fingers lifted the left side of his shirt.

After returning from Shen Huaizhi’s house that day, Jiang Heng had looked at himself in the mirror. He wasn’t someone who easily left marks; even in previous fights, wounds would disappear after some time. But this time, perhaps due to some changes in the skin’s quality after differentiation, there were still bruises on the skin on his side.

The bandages on his leg wounds were removed, and they had healed well. It was just the skin on his waist that seemed unusually delicate. Even Jiang Heng found it somewhat unbelievable.

Shen Huaizhi stood behind him, watching as Jiang Heng’s elegant fingers lifted the edge of his black shirt, revealing a skull pattern on the back, giving a rebellious vibe. Despite the striking contrast of his white skin with the intense black, and the distracting bruises, it appeared both harmonious and discordant.

Shen Huaizhi’s gaze moved past Jiang Heng’s waist, lingered for a moment, and then he casually said, “I’ll go get some medicine for you.” The school infirmary was relatively open, and doctors might not always be around, so commonly needed items like medicine for bruises were usually placed in easily accessible areas.

His tone remained calm. Jiang Heng lowered his eyes, looking at a messy stack of medical records on the table. After a moment of contemplation, he softly responded, “Okay, thank you, class monitor.”

It sounded obedient. With his back turned to Shen Huaizhi, for some reason, he didn’t want to look at his expression now and naturally missed the glance Shen Huaizhi gave him after his words, a glance that seemed a bit helpless.

“It might sting a bit,” in a short while, the quiet infirmary was filled with the sound of clinking bottles, accompanied by Shen Huaizhi’s slightly cold voice.

Jiang Heng maintained a tense expression, muttering as if indifferent, “Class monitor, go easy on me. I’m too delicate; I can’t handle rough treatment.”

Before he could finish his sentence, Shen Huaizhi’s palm, mixed with the smell of medicinal wine, pressed against his skin, and the cool sensation almost made him shiver.

Damn. What’s this annoying thing? Why does it hurt so much?

With his back turned, as if explaining the events of the past few days to him, Jiang Heng said, “I went to the hospital to find Lin Lan.” He explained in detail, suddenly feeling that there was no need to let Shen Huaizhi know about these things; it was redundant. Shen Huaizhi just needed to float a sentence like “he’ll take care of it,” as if denying everything.

Jiang Heng finished speaking, stretched his left hand, which had been lifting his shirt, and his fingers felt a bit stiff. It wasn’t very comfortable; the shirt stuck to the side of his waist soaked with medicinal wine.

He suddenly felt a bit drowsy.

“Jiang Heng.” He felt like yawning, and then he heard Shen Huaizhi calling him again.

Jiang Heng turned his head to look at the other person, a bit of moisture in his eyes, tiredness evident.

“I got it, Class Monitor,” he blinked and then smiled again, “I still have some evidence of a drug dealer here. If you need it, come find me later.”

The smile seemed insincere.

“I’m so sleepy,” he said, yawning as if joking, “I haven’t slept well for a few days. I’m so delicate; I can’t afford to lack sleep.”

He turned sideways, attempting to go around Shen Huaizhi.

But before he could take a step, his wrist was caught again.

“They’ve been calling your name for days, you know.”

After saying that, he sniffed again; Alpha’s sense of smell was quite keen. Now that there was no one else around, He Ci felt the scent of medicinal wine on Jiang Heng. As for the red wine scent inhibitor, he had given it to him, and he could still recognize it.

“Where did you get hurt?” He sniffed, feeling like there might be other scents, but very faint, and he couldn’t identify them.

The two of them were quite close now.

He Ci finished speaking and turned his head to look again. He felt a chilly sensation at the back of his neck.

But he didn’t see anything.

Strange, it seemed like there was a gaze on him just now.

Jiang Heng exclaimed and reached up to pat his short and prickly hair, “It’s nothing, just got a little hit.”

“Alright then,” He Ci said, and he didn’t doubt it.

The place He Ci arranged for basketball was an off-campus court, where people from nearby schools often played. The Alpha boys from Class Four had arranged a friendly basketball match with students from a neighboring school tonight. This was because Jiang Heng’s basketball skills, blown out of proportion by some boys from their class, had made him seem almost godly at the game. The other school had been urging them to bring out this “godly” Omega for a match.

Jiang Heng went back to change his clothes first. When he and He Ci arrived at the basketball court, there were already quite a few people. It seemed like more than just players; there were spectators too. Even a few pretty girls were holding their phones, taking pictures.

“He Ci! Over here!” The boys from Class Four spotted He Ci and Jiang Heng from afar and immediately jumped up to welcome them. “Jiang Heng! Over here!”

Both sides were quite enthusiastic, and everyone’s curiosity about Jiang Heng, this Omega who didn’t quite look like an Omega, was more prevalent than any discrimination.

After all, there were rarely Omegas who looked like this; he didn’t seem like an Omega at all.

Calling him an Alpha wouldn’t be an exaggeration.

Once they reached the court, the boys from the opposite team truly understood that Class Four’s boasting wasn’t just talk. Jiang Heng, despite his injuries, played aggressively, not giving the other side much chance to possess the ball. His movements, passes, and shots were swift, accurate, and powerful, as if he had put all his strength into the game.

There were more people watching the game from the sidelines now.

“He’s really handsome! Is he from Yizhong? Is he really an Omega? I can’t believe it!”

“Who cares if he’s an Omega! Handsome is enough, Yizhong is great, so many handsome guys.”

“Did you take photos? Did you record it?”

“Recorded it! Going to treasure it at home! Ahhh, look at his waist and abdomen! Muscles! So amazing! I love this kind of style – thin when dressed, muscular when undressed!”

After the game ended, Jiang Heng was covered in sweat, his hands on his knees, particularly eye-catching among the group of Alphas.

He Ci handed him a wet towel, draped an arm over his shoulder, and handed him a bottle of water, praising generously, “Dad, you’re amazing.”

Several other Alphas gathered around, “Jiang Heng, if the school allowed us to have a basketball team, we’d definitely recruit you.”

“Hell, it’s been so long since I had this much fun!”

“Jiang Heng! Do you have a partner?”

Jiang Heng lifted his eyelids.
His waist was a bit sore, and he paused for a moment before laughing, denying, “No.”

The Alpha got excited, “So, what do you think of me?”

He Ci was about to say something when he saw Jiang Heng straighten up, seemingly genuinely appraising the other person. Afterward, he laughed, a bit roguish, shining even more brightly under the streetlight.

The Alpha being looked at felt a bit embarrassed.
Ordinary Alphas truly couldn’t resist someone like Jiang Heng, an Omega. He was just momentarily confused.

A group of people nearby started making a fuss.
Jiang Heng raised his eyebrows, sweat rolling down his face, not very noticeable under the moonlight. He remained silent for a while before smiling again, “But I already have someone I like.”
He admitted it straightforwardly, his tone sincere.

After saying that, the commotion grew louder.
“Who is it?”

“Hahaha, Doggie, your first love is gone!”

“Hey hey hey, go away! It’s his good fortune to be noticed by you!”

Jiang Heng chuckled, “Yeah, I think so too. Quite fortunate.”

So, why couldn’t this person just comfort him a bit? Why did he have to handle things so formally?
He laughed as if mocking himself.

Among those present, only He Ci knew who Jiang Heng was talking about. At this moment, he felt a bit inexplicably sorry for Jiang Heng. Holding a towel, he waved it in the air, “Alright, why are you all so nosy! With this time, go back and practice your basketball skills. Don’t let yourselves be beaten up like this next time.”

“No no no, we don’t need that. We have Jiang Heng! People from Class Three in the second high school, did you hear that? Practice well, and don’t think about using your Alpha to abduct our Omega!”

“Damn, Doggie is genuinely moved! What’s the meaning of abducting!”
Listening to them bickering, Jiang Heng’s mood improved a lot. After venting a bit, he felt alive again.

He tapped He Ci’s shoulder with a mineral water bottle, “Let’s go, back home.”

He Ci and Jiang Heng lived on opposite sides of the school, so they went their separate ways after leaving the school gate. Jiang Heng walked home alone at this not-so-late hour. There were a few scattered students on the road, but rarely anyone alone—they were either in pairs or couples.
The school was strict about preventing early relationships. During the day, it was rare to see small couples at school. Only after school did everyone act more unrestrained.

Under the streetlights, casting elongated shadows, Jiang Heng’s mood was much better. As he approached the entrance of the apartment building, he suddenly stopped. No one was around the apartment building, and it felt a bit eerie.

He used to get into fights frequently, and his instincts were still sharp. Returning from the basketball court, he felt like someone was following him and He Ci.

However, the person controlled their distance well, never getting too close. Jiang Heng thought it might be his imagination, maybe just someone going the same way. It wasn’t until he reached the entrance of the apartment building that the feeling grew stronger.

He turned into the corridor and waited for a moment. At the entrance of the corridor, a familiar figure appeared.

Jiang Heng was stunned for a few seconds and then burst into laughter.

“Class Monitor, what are you doing?” Jiang Heng asked with a smile.
