SSEWC Chapter 1

Domineering Alpha CEO

Amongst the various wild kings and beautiful female anchors in the monochromatic world, the live broadcast room with the highest popularity surprisingly bore a title that stood out from the rest. On the top, a line of simple black characters read:

[Haven’t Eaten Enough]

The broadcaster goes by the name He Heng, still a graduate student, occasionally livestreaming a game or two in his free time. However, due to his handsome appearance, excellent skills, and most importantly, his constant use of provocative language during gaming, often deviating from the norm, he unexpectedly gained popularity.

Within the live broadcast room,

A tall and slender man, dressed in a simple white t-shirt and black pants, sat on the gaming chair. With fair and well-defined hands, he took out his phone, glanced at the screen, and then smirked, saying, “Folks, you’ve arrived a bit late. Have you all eaten?”

The barrage at the top of the screen immediately started rolling:

[Bao, why are you just arriving now?]

[Bao, you’ve finally come. I’ve been holding my bowl of rice, waiting for you for so long. Do you know? Without you, I can’t eat at all.]

He Heng looked at the barrage and chuckled, “Well, tonight you’re destined to go hungry. All of you, come in and learn some skills from me.”

[No way, no way. Heng Bao, you don’t really think someone came in to learn skills, right? We’re here to see you stir things up. Bao, how about a spicy segment?]

Countless barrages like these filled the screen,

He Heng interacted with the barrage as he entered the game. He chose Lan Ling Wang, stealthily squatting in the grass to take down the opposing Li Bai with first blood. After leaving a hidden dart on the silk-blooded blue buff, he stylishly left the scene.

[Haha, Heng Bao, don’t tell me you didn’t steal the blue buff in the end.]

“How is that possible?” He Heng glanced at the barrage, sneering, “Counting down from three, two, one.”

“Blue buff? Take this!”

As he finished speaking, a light circle of the blue buff immediately appeared under the feet of Lan Ling Wang. He Heng tapped the screen with a “snap, snap” sound. “Brothers, got it? Did you see the details clearly?”

[Heng Bao, truly impressive, still the same dog as always.]

So, in the next six minutes, Li Bai didn’t manage to secure a single blue buff. Carrying a 0-6 record on his head, he slowly typed on the screen,

[Lan Ling Wang, I yield to you.]

[Have you never seen a blue buff in your entire life?]

However, right after Li Bai typed these two sentences, a yellow exclamation mark immediately appeared above his head. He seemed flustered, swaying left and right as if he were in a panic.

The next moment, He Heng seamlessly executed a series of combo moves, sending Li Bai back to the spawn point. With a triumphant tone, he entered the voice chat, “Ah, is that all? Just this? You’re making me laugh.”

Meanwhile, in the bottom left corner of the screen,

Peerless Overlord (Li Bai): Don’t let me run into you again, or I’ll kill you.

Immediately, the barrage started flooding with comments like [Hahahaha is this Li Bai an elementary school student?]

He Heng chuckled and taunted, “How are you going to do it? Are you going to come and kill me following the internet cable?”

However, right after he finished saying that, he suddenly felt a chill down his spine. His entire body became immobilized in an instant. Following that, a burst of electric sparks crackled, and the screen in front of him went black all of a sudden. The next second, a loud “clang!” echoed as the large hanging lamp above him crashed down.

“Damn, no way? Did he really come following the internet cable?” The exclamation lingered in He Heng’s mind.

And with that, a young talent of his generation fell, leaving the world at the age of twenty-four.

Upon reopening his eyes, He Heng found himself suspended amidst myriad threads of golden light, and before him, a bright blue electronic screen suddenly materialized.

He raised his translucent hand and murmured to himself, “Could it be that I’ve turned into light?”

While He Heng was still immersed in the emotions of “Someone as outstanding as me shouldn’t have such a hasty end.”

A mechanical electronic sound suddenly rang in his ears. The speed of the electronic sound was so fast that He Heng began to suspect it was in a hurry to reincarnate.

[Hello, I am System 996. After observing you standing out among tens of millions of candidates, you have luckily become my 10,086th host. You are about to go to several small worlds to carry out the mission of saving the protagonist from blackening. Are you ready to make your choice?]

On the electronic screen before him, a line of text immediately appeared:

[Your two options:]

[Yes or Yes]

“Is there a difference?” He Heng stared at the two options, his handsome eyebrows furrowing. He sternly declared, “Let me tell you, no one can force me to make a choice.”

The next second, “Beep! Beep!” an alarm suddenly sounded,

[Warning! Please make a choice within ten seconds, or you will perish on the spot!]

[Ten, eight, four, three..]

Damn, playing with me like this?

[One]

Damn it!

In the nick of time, he barely had a chance to curse the system in his mind and could only shout reflexively, “I choose Yes! Yes! Yes!”

As He Heng’s words fell silent, the golden light instantly dissipated, and the scenery rapidly transformed. He began to descend rapidly.

At the same time, the electronic voice sounded, [Loading the first small world. You will play the role of a scum alpha.]

Before He Heng could fully comprehend what “Alpha” meant, his feet were once again on solid ground.

He found himself in a spacious private office, decorated entirely in shades of gray and black. Every detail reflected the original owner’s high-level taste, resembling an austere and restrained atmosphere.

He Heng surveyed the unfamiliar surroundings and then walked towards a full-length mirror.

His facial features and body shape remained unchanged; the system had merely integrated his identity with that of the original owner. However, his appearance had indeed undergone a transformation. His previously neglected black hair was now carefully trimmed, with the fringe lifted to reveal a high and clean forehead. The advantages of his handsome facial features with arched eyebrows and starry eyes immediately became prominent.

The person in the mirror had broad shoulders, long legs, and deep, handsome features. His 188 cm height perfectly complemented the suit’s cut, creating the illusion of legs that stretched for meters, resembling a flat model.

Even the clothes emitted the light scent of a men’s cologne by “Hers.”

He Heng stared at the mirror for a moment, feeling a bit stunned. He usually dressed quite casually, so this unfamiliar outfit made even him feel a bit uncomfortable.

But, surprisingly, he had to admit that he looked quite presentable in this appearance.

The mechanical electronic voice sounded once again:

[Not bad! Your appearance indeed fits the domineering CEO’s character setting. We can skip the face tweaking steps and get straight to the point!]

He Heng: “Don’t tell me you chose me because you didn’t want to bother with face tweaking.”

The mechanical voice deliberately increased in volume:

[Huh? What did you say? I didn’t hear that.]

[Cough! Time is of the essence. Let’s cut to the chase. You are now the CEO of Tian Sheng Group.]

He Heng: “…”

Acting dumb, really.

At the moment he transmigrated, the system implanted the memories of the role he needed to play into his mind.

In all of He Heng’s missions within these small worlds, without exception, he will found himself in classic plots revolving around pursuing a wife and igniting a fiery romance.

In the early stages, they were akin to Zhang San, the lawless outlaw in Professor Luo Xiang’s words. Later on, it seemed as if someone had tampered with their brain structure, and they suddenly woke up, crying and shouting for reconciliation.

In this world, as the CEO of Tian Sheng Group, the original owner was a rising star in the business world in City A. To integrate into high society, he chose to marry Shi Shuang, the eldest son of the declining aristocratic Shi family.

However, his actions were solely driven by power. After finding the stepping stone to the upper class, he cunningly took over the Shi family’s meager fortune and confined Shi Shuang. He had people monitor his every move 24/7, restricted his freedom, and even used his young sister as leverage, attempting to have complete control over him.

Regarding the obligations of a legal couple, the original owner never fulfilled them. He never regarded Shi Shuang as his Omega, treating him more like an object or a tool. He ruthlessly broke Shi Shuang’s wings, trampled on his pride and dignity, and tormented his spirit, much like a puppeteer manipulating a puppet.

In the later part of the plot, through a fortuitous event, Shi Shuang finally escaped the control of the original owner. After losing him, the scum alpha seemed to have a drastic change of heart, as if he had been hit on the head. He suddenly realized that he had already fallen in love with his canary, regretted his actions, and began the pursuit to win back his spouse in a fiery romance.

As He Heng read through this segment, his eyelids twitched. This guy, his ability to change his demeanor surpassed even the quick transformations in Sichuan Opera face-changing.

However, this particular small world was currently facing a problem. For some unknown reason, before the plot even reached its midpoint, the protagonist’s blackening value suddenly skyrocketed. This caused the plot to start breaking down. So, He Heng’s mission was to eliminate the blackening value the protagonist was experiencing and save the crumbling storyline.

If the protagonist’s blackening value exceeded a specific threshold, He Heng would be deemed to have failed the mission and lose the opportunity for revival in the real world.

He Heng glanced at himself in the mirror again. Regardless of what this “Alpha” thing was, he was currently the magnate CEO, the “scum alpha” himself.

With that thought, he reached up to touch his flawless and clean face. Although he looked incredibly handsome now, eliminating Shi Shuang’s blackening value meant that if Shi Shuang were to see him, his blackening value might skyrocket.

Dressing up as anyone else would be fine, but why did it have to be as the tormenting scum alpha? He Heng couldn’t help but suspect that System 996 had some ulterior motives.

The next moment, the mechanical voice suddenly sounded,

[Host, I believe you are absolutely capable of handling this task. After all, according to my observations, the happiness index you bring to others every day is the highest among all the candidates.]

System 996 evidently had mind-reading abilities. It continued,

[During this time, I’ve collected evaluations from your audience, including but not limited to:]

[They say you are very good at stirring things up.]

[They can’t eat without your antics.]

[Also, “Considering Heng Bao as a visual streamer is the biggest misunderstanding; he’s clearly a funny joker.”]

These comments made He Heng’s temples twitch. In the end, the system came to the following conclusion,

[This task is tailor-made for you.]

[Additionally, reminding the host not to engage in actions that severely violate the original character setting, such as kneeling on the ground to apologize to the protagonist. Out-of-character behavior will result in punishment.]

While the system was giving its introduction, He Heng had already seated himself at the desk and began to explore. As a competent gaming streamer, the first step upon entering an RPG was to investigate the character’s surroundings.

Using the memories provided by the system, He Heng skillfully entered the computer password. After searching through the directories, his gaze settled on an encrypted folder.

As he opened the folder, He Heng was stunned.

Inside, there were surveillance videos, all from the cameras the original owner had placed in the house. In other words…

These were used to monitor Shi Shuang.

He Heng opened the earliest dated video, and in the black and white footage, the figure of a young man appeared.

[This is the protagonist: Shi Shuang]

Shi Shuang sat on the couch, hugging his knees, wearing an oversized sweater that didn’t fit well. His figure was slender, and his legs were straight and long. It seemed like he had noticed the presence of the camera. He lifted his head, gazing directly at the screen. Even in the black and white video, his eyes were captivating.

His eyes were moist, resembling those of a little wolf, carrying an untamed wildness that was difficult to tame.

For some reason, this simple glimpse left a deep imprint on He Heng’s heart.

Even through the screen, He Heng could sense the helplessness and loneliness of the young man. He furrowed his brows, contemplating Shi Shuang’s current situation.

According to the plot, tonight he had to attend an important banquet and needed to bring Shi Shuang along. Therefore, his subordinates brought him to the Tian Sheng Group building.

While pondering how to cleverly and without breaking character reduce Shi Shuang’s blackening value, the office door suddenly banged, making a loud noise.

Outside, his chubby secretary Ji Yuan had a panicked expression. “President He, President He, something bad happened! Just now, your men weren’t paying attention, and Mr. Shi managed to escape. He’s now standing on the top floor of the Tian Sheng building, and if, if—”

He Heng thought, this is not good, a miscalculation.

The protagonist, Shi Shuang, who seemed unbound by the president’s seven or eight burly bodyguards, escaped. How did He Heng not foresee this classic scene from a domineering president novel?

The next moment, a “beep beep!” alarm interrupted the secretary’s words.

[Warning! Warning! The protagonist’s emotional fluctuations are severe, and the blackening value is nearing the threshold, about to explode. Host, you must take immediate action.]

Damn it, at least there’s usually a beginner’s trial when playing a game. This bizarre mission throws a timed bomb at him right away, turning it into hell mode. Are they trying to make it impossible for people to play?

He Heng made a decisive move and immediately responded to the chubby secretary, saying, “Why haven’t you gone upstairs to find someone yet?!”

With that, he strode out of the office, leaving the secretary to pant and shout behind him, “President He! Wait for me!”
