FYS Chapter 51

Wei Ruxia woke up very early, glanced out the window, through the gauze curtain, there were still some dark shadows outside. The sun had not yet risen, only the horizon had been dyed red by the dawn that was about to rise.

She moved her body, and behind her, Luo Tang, who was holding her, immediately tightened his arms. Wei Ruxia’s lips curled up, her eyes closed, as she was embraced tightly by Luo Tang.

The temperature in the room was comfortable, and the warmth emanating from the man made her feel especially cozy. Wei Ruxia leaned against his chest, opening her eyes to look outside the window.

“Can’t sleep?” Luo Tang, who had just woken up, spoke with a slightly hoarse voice. He didn’t open his eyes; his thick eyelashes curled slightly, exuding a lazy and sexy vibe.

Tonight at 8 o’clock is the premiere of “The Breeze Helps the Moon”. The box office performance of this movie determines whether her career gets off to a good start. Wei Ruxia slept late last night and woke up early again today. She is a very laid-back person, occasionally experiencing nervousness one or two times, indicating her particular concern about this matter.

The man’s breath sprayed against her ear. Wei Ruxia responded softly, and after she did, her ear was bitten lightly. Wei Ruxia chuckled softly, her earlobes turning hot, then she turned her head and kissed him.

As their feelings deepened, they engaged in intimate exchanges, and the bedroom gradually became filled with tenderness.

Sex and love can relax the mind and body. Wei Ruxia enjoys using this new form of relaxation with Luo Tang to ease her tension.

After everything was over, the sun had already risen. Luo Tang held Wei Ruxia as they went to take a shower. Since it was Sunday and Luo Tang didn’t have to work, after showering, he held Wei Ruxia and slept for a while longer. Wei Ruxia woke up first; she had to prepare breakfast.

After the honeymoon, Wei Ruxia worked sporadically for a period, but most of her time was spent with Luo Tang. Before marriage, they didn’t live together much, and it wasn’t much of an issue. However, after marriage, Wei Ruxia truly felt that Luo Tang was too clingy, but she also clung to him.

Before making breakfast, Wei Ruxia opened the door and went to the yard. The sun was already high, but the morning sea breeze in mid-May was still cool.

Upon opening the door, the yard was filled with blooming flowers. Wei Ruxia picked up the hose and, as usual, began to water the flowers.

Not long after Wei Ruxia left, Luo Tang woke up. Opening his eyes and not seeing Wei Ruxia, he got out of bed and put on clothes before leaving the bedroom. When he reached the living room on the first floor, he saw Wei Ruxia watering the flowers through the lattice window.

She held a plastic hose, wearing a spaghetti strap nightgown, with deep chestnut-colored hair cascading over her shoulder. Her delicate collarbone peeked through, exuding the aura and charm of a mature woman.

When Luo Tang was in high school, he often watched Wei Ruxia in her room. Back then, Wei Ruxia was tall and slim, wearing linen spaghetti straps and shorts, with long limbs. Compared to before, her appearance hadn’t changed much, but her temperament had undergone the most significant transformation. In the past, she exuded youthful vitality, but now she emanated sensuality and laziness.

He loved watching Wei Ruxia water the flowers. Years ago, he had transplanted the flowers from her family’s yard to this house, dreaming that one day, he would wake up to see Wei Ruxia watering them in the morning.

Now, his dream had come true.

Luo Tang’s eyes crinkled as he opened the door and stepped out.

As soon as he stepped out, Wei Ruxia glanced over and saw Luo Tang. Her lips curved into a smile as she moved the hose away from the pear tree and gestured towards Luo Tang.

“Take this!”

The thin stream of water splashed out. Luo Tang looked up, and Wei Ruxia was already smiling. Her laughter after the water was somewhat captivating. Luo Tang forgot to dodge and got soaked.

“Why didn’t you dodge?” Wei Ruxia retracted the hose and noticed a large wet patch on Luo Tang’s chest. He was wearing a white T-shirt, which turned translucent when wet, revealing a few red spots on his fair skin.

She bit her lip, feeling her face grow warm.

And in her heated state, Luo Tang had already walked over. Seeing his approach, Wei Ruxia knew he was going to catch her. She smiled and quickly ran with the hose. After just a few steps, Luo Tang caught her from behind.

“I won’t dare anymore!” Wei Ruxia pleaded for mercy first.

Luo Tang didn’t listen to her anymore; it was impossible for her not to be mischievous every day. Luo Tang smiled and lifted Wei Ruxia onto his shoulder.

“Get me some clothes to change into,” Luo Tang said.

Being carried on Luo Tang’s shoulder, Wei Ruxia laughed heartily. She kicked her legs and said, “Change, change, change. Put me down first!”

While being carried, with her head down, Wei Ruxia began to feel a bit uncomfortable. Luo Tang held her waist and cradled Wei Ruxia horizontally in his arms. Wei Ruxia’s face flushed slightly as she held onto Luo Tang’s neck. Luo Tang lowered his head to look at her and asked, “Why did you spray me?”

Being held by him, Wei Ruxia’s legs swung slightly. When Luo Tang had just snatched her, she had also gotten a bit wet. Strands of damp hair stuck to her face, giving her the appearance of a playful kitten. She smiled, her eyes sparkling, and said, “I wanted to change your clothes.”

Luo Tang’s Adam’s apple bobbed slightly as he watched her laughing happily. He only chuckled lightly and said in a low, deep voice.

“Nonsense.”

Nonsense is what makes life interesting.

Wei Ruxia enjoys being mischievous, and Luo Tang enjoys her antics too; they complement each other.

While helping Luo Tang change clothes, there was another battle in the closet. Wei Ruxia finally escaped from the clutches of Luo Tang, leaving him fuming inside the closet, as she darted off to the kitchen.

“I’m going to make breakfast,” Wei Ruxia announced with a mischievous grin, leaving a disgruntled Luo Tang behind in the closet.

After a morning of bustling activity, Wei Ruxia’s nerves had settled considerably. She strolled into the kitchen, where she sliced toast, fried eggs, prepared sandwiches, and squeezed glasses of juice.

When Luo Tang finally emerged from the bedroom, breakfast was already laid out. He approached Wei Ruxia from behind, gently kissed her cheek, and took a plate. Together, they made their way to the dining area.

With the windows open, the cool breeze danced through the room, billowing the gauzy curtains. The warm sun bathed the room in a soft glow, casting a serene atmosphere.

As they settled at the table, Wei Ruxia took a sip of juice and casually remarked, “My dad called earlier and asked what you’d like for lunch. Aunt Li will be preparing it.”

Wei Zishan was still convalescing in the hospital house for the sake of his recovery. Considering Wei Ruxia’s future work commitments and Luo Tang’s busy schedule, they decided to hire a cook for Wei Zishan, recommended by Yang Shuru, who specialized in crafting delectable local dishes.

Following breakfast, their plans included a trip to aid Wei Zishan in his rehabilitation. Despite being married, Wei Ruxia remained actively involved in her father’s recovery process. In the future, when she was away for filming, Luo Tang would personally care for her father.

“Dad and I share similar tastes. Think about what you’d like,” Luo Tang responded simply. He was still adjusting to the local cuisine.

Wei Ruxia’s eyes sparkled mischievously as she inquired, “Are you offering to cook?”

Luo Tang met her playful gaze and asked, “Are you willing to try it?”

Wei Ruxia burst into laughter. She couldn’t help but reminisce about the last time Luo Tang had attempted to cook pork slices and nearly set the kitchen ablaze. While he excelled in many areas, cooking certainly wasn’t one of them. The memory never failed to amuse her.

After breakfast, they escorted Wei Zishan to the hospital for his rehabilitation session. Compared to previous sessions, the current regimen was simpler. By the time they finished, it was barely ten in the morning. The attending doctor briefed Wei Ruxia on her father’s progress.

“If we maintain his current rehabilitation pace, he should conclude his instrumental rehabilitation by year-end. However, given Mr. Wei’s prolonged illness, there might be some degree of muscle atrophy. Following the instrumental rehabilitation, he’ll need to consciously utilize the right side of his body more in his daily activities,” the doctor explained.

When her father first fell ill, doctors had conservatively estimated a ten-year rehabilitation timeline. Yet, Wei Zishan had managed to complete half a year ahead of schedule. It had been several arduous years for her father, and she had led a nomadic life during that time. But now, things were finally falling into place.

With everything progressing positively, Wei Ruxia felt a genuine sense of happiness.

She was content, and her father appeared even more so. When they returned home, it was just past ten o’clock. While Luo Tang engaged Wei Zishan in a game of Go, Wei Ruxia busied herself in the kitchen.

Aunt Li worked swiftly, and soon the kitchen was organized. Wei Ruxia washed her hands and prepared to call her father and husband to the dining area. As she approached the study door, she swung it open, catching the attention of the two men inside.

Wei Ruxia sauntered in, noticing the abrupt halt in their conversation as she approached. The chessboard lay abandoned, signaling the conclusion of their game.

“What were you two discussing? The room fell silent the moment I walked in,” Wei Ruxia remarked, pinching Luo Tang’s shoulder playfully.

Luo Tang clasped her hand, offering a reassuring squeeze, and smiled, “Nothing much.”

Wei Zishan, echoing Luo Tang’s sentiment, added, “Just casual chatter. Is lunch ready?”

Wei Ruxia remained unconvinced. Leaning on Luo Tang’s shoulder, she gazed into his eyes, searching for any telltale signs. His lashes fluttered slightly, his eyes gleaming beneath.

Their intimacy was no secret, yet Wei Zishan’s presence tempered her boldness. Unable to discern anything significant from Luo Tang’s demeanor, she resolved to interrogate him later at home. Rising to her feet, she took Luo Tang’s hand and declared, “It’s time to eat.”

After lunch, while Luo Tang and Wei Zishan played Go, Wei Ruxia turned her attention to preparations for the evening premiere. By six in the evening, following their meal, Luo Tang and Wei Ruxia headed to the cinema together.

The theater buzzed with anticipation. Wei Ruxia, slated for onstage interaction with the audience, retreated backstage to freshen up. Meanwhile, Luo Tang settled into his seat, patiently awaiting the commencement of the film.

After the interaction, Wei Ruxia navigated through the crowd back to Luo Tang’s side. The adjacent seats were filled with teenage girls, awestruck by Luo Tang’s presence. With Wei Ruxia’s arrival, their excitement only intensified, now that Luo Tang’s identity was confirmed.

Luo Tang’s affectionate gestures were straightforward. Initially, when he publicly acknowledged Wei Ruxia as his girlfriend, the response was lukewarm. Yet, subsequent affirmations trended as top social media searches, indicative of their burgeoning popularity.

Wei Ruxia couldn’t help but revel in her fortune. Not only was her husband affluent, but he also possessed a captivating allure, rivaling that of the male lead in tonight’s premiere.

Amidst the hushed conversations around her, Wei Ruxia’s attention remained fixed on the movie screen, eagerly anticipating the unfolding narrative.

As the movie’s prelude played, casting a serene and warm ambiance, Luo Tang noticed Wei Ruxia’s furrowed brow. Squeezing her hand, he engaged her in light conversation to alleviate her nerves.

“Remember what Dad mentioned at noon? Are you curious to know?” Luo Tang’s voice, near her ear, sent shivers down Wei Ruxia’s spine.

Successfully diverting her attention, she gazed at Luo Tang, her curiosity piqued. “Yes, tell me. What did he say?”

Luo Tang disclosed, “Dad inquired about our plans for having children.”

“What?” Wei Ruxia’s voice rose in astonishment. Glancing around discreetly, she drew closer to Luo Tang, inquiring, “Do you desire children?”

Luo Tang’s response was resolute. “Every man desires children with the woman he loves,” he affirmed.

Wei Ruxia met his gaze, her throat constricting with emotion. With the movie officially commencing, its tranquil melodies filled the air, setting the mood. Hand in hand, they braced for the cinematic journey ahead.

“Yet, the timing is up to you,” Luo Tang continued softly. “You needn’t fear failure. Take your time to fulfill your dreams. With me by your side, there’s no rush to worry about life’s uncertainties.”

Wei Ruxia’s heart swelled with affection. She leaned into Luo Tang’s embrace, cherishing the reassurance he provided.

As the evening wore on, the cinema buzzed with excitement. The premiere was met with resounding applause, punctuated by moments of tension and laughter woven throughout the film.

Wei Ruxia’s performance was met with glowing reviews, bolstering her confidence in her burgeoning career. Beside her, Luo Tang beamed with pride, reveling in her success.

As the credits rolled, signaling the end of the movie, the audience erupted into applause. Wei Ruxia and Luo Tang rose from their seats, greeted by an adoring crowd eager to express their admiration.

Exiting the cinema, they were met with a flurry of camera flashes and enthusiastic fans, clamoring for a glimpse of the beloved couple. Despite the chaos, Wei Ruxia and Luo Tang remained unfazed, basking in the warmth of their shared accomplishments.

Later that evening, as they returned home, Wei Ruxia reflected on the day’s events. Her heart swelled with gratitude for the unwavering support of her husband and the newfound success she had achieved.

As they settled into bed, wrapped in each other’s embrace, Wei Ruxia’s thoughts drifted to the future. With Luo Tang by her side, she felt emboldened to pursue her dreams, knowing that together they could conquer any obstacle that lay ahead.

In the quiet intimacy of the night, as they drifted off to sleep, Wei Ruxia knew that their journey was just beginning—a journey filled with love, laughter, and boundless possibilities.

And in that moment, she felt a profound sense of contentment, knowing that she was exactly where she was meant to be—by Luo Tang’s side, embracing the promise of tomorrow.
