PTGWD Chapter 9: Satiation

Babe, Tonight is a wonderful night.

The elegant piano music flowed throughout the banquet hall like water. All normal guests had been moved elsewhere, leaving only the plainclothes officers. Even the emcee on stage, the bridesmaids holding the bride’s dress outside, and the waiters moving through the banquet were all special agents from the Institute of Anomalies in disguise.

As the emcee passionately read the opening words, Lu Jianchuan heard his own swallowing sounds. He could clearly smell the sweet and fishy scent emitting from the Queen Ant, an indescribable scent similar to the pheromones released by a female animal in heat—rotten and juicy, repulsive yet deeply enticing as if trapped in a giant net woven from smell…

Hunger.

Thirst.

Desire to feed.

Lu Jianchuan took a deep breath, rolled his throat again, his little finger transformed into a tentacle. His eyes fixated on the banquet hall’s opposite door, like a predator ready to capture its long-coveted prey.

“Let us welcome with a round of applause… our beautiful Miss Wang!”

The banquet hall erupted in simulated applause as the door opened, and the bride-to-be in a haute couture red dress, her hem swaying, walked slowly towards Lu Jianchuan under the tense gaze of everyone.

With each step she took, the temperature seemed to drop a degree, until the steaming dishes on the tables turned to ice, and thick frost formed on the floor-to-ceiling windows.

From afar, perhaps due to the lighting, the “bride-to-be’s” face seemed covered by an indistinct white veil, her features barely visible, eerily resembling Fang Xingzhou.

She was laughing, all doors and windows banged shut simultaneously, sealing the banquet hall into a sealed room in an instant.

Everyone noticed the Queen Ant’s anomaly. The applause cooled down, even the emcee’s voice lost its fervor, trembling imperceptibly.

To avoid the Institute’s tracking, she rarely showed her non-human side in public. Yet, today, she couldn’t wait even for the wedding to end before revealing her fangs, unwilling to give Lu Jianchuan any chance to escape, even at the risk of exposure, making everyone here her funeral companions!

It had been a long time since the Queen Ant had been so high-profile.

Like Lu Jianchuan, she was obviously in an extreme, unbearable excitement.

Including Li Xuan, all special agents ended their disguise, readied their guns, their expressions solemn, daring not to look directly at the “bride-to-be,” only at Lu Jianchuan, waiting for his command.

The short distance of dozens of meters seemed to freeze in time, even the sweat rolling down seemed to slow down.

The red figure stopped in front of Lu Jianchuan, her smile deepened, and a vague black hole appeared on the fog-covered face like a greedy mouth, dripping sticky saliva onto the carpet, instantly corroding a large black hole in it.

She began to laugh again.

The laughter, disguised as extremely genuine, echoed in the banquet hall, making everyone’s hair stand on end.

Only Lu Jianchuan, with a usual smile, slightly narrowed eyes appreciating the “face” in front of him, gentlemanly extended his right hand, pretending to be enchanted, his voice magnetic and gentle: “You’ve finally arrived…”

Hearing this, Li Xuan’s scalp instantly numbed.

He watched as Lu Jianchuan gently took the “fiancée’s” hand, thinking he was easily bewitched by the Queen Ant, his heart chilling, and muttered quietly: “This person is not Fang Xingzhou! What you see is her disguise!”

Even though his voice was very low, the bell-like laughter immediately stopped.

Half-second strage silence.

Sweat soaked the grip of Li Xuan’s gun as images of the various horrific deaths caused by the Queen Ant flashed through his mind from the files he had seen. He clenched his teeth, calmly chambered his gun.

With a click, almost simultaneously with chambering, a shadow too fast for the naked eye to see lunged at him, stopping just before engulfing.

Li Xuan barely had time to pull the trigger, his pupils dilated to their limit, staring at the thing in front of him at a very close distance.

Eight crimson eyes moved simultaneously, dozens of razor-sharp legs flailed in the air, and the mouth, full of sharp teeth, opened to its fullest as if screaming silently.

A flexible, boneless tentacle firmly wrapped around it, different from the one that had curled around Li Xuan that day. The tentacle menacingly opened all its suckers, its teeth clicking, producing a trilling sound of flesh being torn apart.

Blood soaked the carpet under his feet, Li Xuan’s eyes hurt terribly, struggling to look away, and turned to look at Lu Jianchuan on the stage.

On stage, Lu Jianchuan still maintained a human torso but replaced his hands and feet with countless tentacles, extending from his suit sleeves and trousers, maintaining the handshake with the “bride,” using the arm as a junction, wrapping the “fiancée” in airtight tentacle cocoon.

He turned his too-beautiful-to-be-real face towards the special agents, smiling elegantly, his pale pupils clear and sharp, showing no sign of enchantment.

“The Queen Ant’s engagement,” he said, “Give your gifts.”

This was the prearranged code signal.

A second of silence, everyone snapped back from the terrifying scene, and gunfire echoed uniformly around.

“Boom—!”

All firepower targeted the trapped monster. A second before the bullets penetrated, Lu Jianchuan withdrew his tentacles but couldn’t avoid being scorched at the tips.

The roar was deafening, the bride’s location burst into flames and smoke, the carpet soaked with dark green slime.

Lu Jianchuan sucked the affected tentacle into his mouth, backed up a few steps, his pupils slowly dilated, staring cold-bloodedly at the movement in the smoke.

The top human-made weapons obviously couldn’t inflict fatal damage on Her.

Sounds of slime dripping were gradually accompanied by the friction of squeaks, like the legs of arthropods rubbing against the carpet.

The next second, countless palm-sized black monsters flew out of the smoke, uninterested in the humans in the banquet hall, and rushed directly towards Lu Jianchuan meters away, their speed and number like an avalanche, instantly engulfing him.

After the smoke dissipated, the beautiful figure of the bride had vanished, replaced by a massive dark shadow.

The shadow was covered with densely packed crimson eyes, its huge abdomen heavily sinking to the ground, vomiting rhythmically, each contraction spewing green slime along with a large number of monsters.

The newly born monsters had dozens of legs, only a mouth full of sharp teeth for a head, with a small pair of red eyes on either side of the mouth, immediately looking towards Lu Jianchuan’s direction upon landing, and madly charging forward under the mother’s command.

The hall echoed with horrifying chewing sounds, nauseating vomiting, the rustling of slime, and the Queen Ant’s body filled with greedy howls.

Such imagery and sounds were inherently aggressive. Many special agents, just by looking once, immediately bled from their eyes and collapsed screaming.

Li Xuan also turned pale, quickly plugged his ears, and shouted, “Protect the ‘Jellyfish’!”

The remaining special agents quickly tightened their formation, opened a path through the monster tide with firepower, and blocked between Lu Jianchuan and the “Queen Ant.”

This barrier only lasted three seconds.

The short burst of bullets temporarily repelled the monsters, but instantly, the mother spawned more offspring, piling up to the height of two men, making the human-flesh-formed defense line look laughably trivial, as the tide overwhelmed them.

Three seconds were short but just enough to give Lu Jianchuan a buffer.

The moment before the agents were torn apart, a tentacle finally broke free from the “ant pile,” sweeping fiercely and flinging all the humans from the front to the back of the hall.

Then came the second, third, fourth…

Dozens of slime-coated tentacles filled the stage, easily smashing the “giant” made of monsters, their tips becoming sharp and piercing directly towards the center of the monsters, the “Queen Ant’s” body!

The Queen Ant’s piercing scream penetrated the earplugs, almost shattering Li Xuan’s eardrums.

Li Xuan’s vision was blurred by blood, and through the red mist, he vaguely saw an eye without whites, dark red and terrifying, exuding a lofty indifference, instantly bringing to mind one word:

—Divinity.

He suddenly realized that might be Lu Jianchuan’s true form.

Knowing he shouldn’t look at what shouldn’t be seen, but as if bewitched by a demon, his heart pounded like thunder, his organs itching madly, unable to help but wipe the blood accumulating in his eyes, blinking hard, trying to capture the creation from another dimension with his insignificant human body.

But no matter how hard he tried to look, the scene remained blurred, only vaguely seeing the tentacles competing to enter the “Queen Ant’s” abdomen, ripping Her open, then spreading all their suckers, feasting on the flesh and blood.

As for the main body of the tentacles, it was like a black hole that appeared out of nowhere here, causing a slight distortion in space and time, with information that human eyes and brains simply couldn’t process.

This feeling was starkly different from seeing the “Queen Ant’s” true form, more mysterious, deeper… and far more terrifying.

Li Xuan, just by looking a few more times, even without seeing anything clearly, was still shaking all over.

More blood flowed from his eyes as if all the blood in his body was draining. He half-fainted to the ground, hearing his own wailing and the continuous powerless screams of the “Queen Ant.”

The “Queen Ant’s” green blood had already filled the banquet hall, submerging half of Li Xuan’s body.

Before completely losing consciousness, he was still concerned about his mission and took one last look in the direction of the “Queen Ant.”

The “Queen Ant,” utterly powerless against the tentacles, was being roughly consumed, blood and flesh splattering, creating a misty blood fog around them.

The offspring, intimidated by the overwhelming presence, curled up in fear on the ground. In less than two minutes, the “Queen Ant,” which had been as tall as three people, was reduced to just a shell…

And yet, just a few years ago, this “powerless” monster had effortlessly annihilated an entire branch of the Institute for Anomalies.

To exterminate the “Queen Ant,” they had planned for five full years, tried every conceivable method, used all available weapons, sacrificed countless colleagues, and still ended in failure. Therefore, they classified the “Queen Ant” as an A+ special containment item, the second A+ item after the “Jellyfish.”

But at this moment, in front of the real “Jellyfish,” she only had the chance to show so little of her reproductive ability.

Li Xuan’s teeth chattered, his eyes wide open witnessing the “Queen Ant’s” demise, his pupils gradually dilating.

So, this is the “Jellyfish”… the only A+ level special containment item of the Institute for Anomalies for over a decade, and his work focus for the next several years.

A complex emotion surged in his heart, but before he could identify it, he had already lost consciousness.

Click, click.

Gurgle, gurgle.

The hall was deathly silent, all special agents lay in the slime, leaving only the gory feeding performance on stage.

The “Queen Ant” struggled futilely in the tentacles’ grasp, her breath growing fainter, her murky eyes glaring hatefully at Lu Jianchuan, emitting strange high-frequency sounds from her mouthpiece.

Then, her body began to shrink.

A man, naked and covered in blood, appeared among the tentacles, his handsome face pale, his eyes tightly shut, long curled eyelashes dripping with blood droplets, like tears sliding down his fair cheeks against the backdrop of suckers and sharp teeth, like a fragile elf who had accidentally fallen into hell.

The tentacles trembled for a moment, instinctively retracting as if afraid of damaging this face.

But in just half a second of hesitation, the “Queen Ant,” disguised as Fang Xingzhou, seized the opportunity. Dozens of legs sprouted from her back, and she began to flee at high speed.

The next instant, a tentacle pierced through her chest, pinning her high against the wall.

The face of “Fang Xingzhou” showed ferocious hatred, which quickly turned to a look of pain.

Seemingly certain of Lu Jianchuan’s weakness, she returned to human form, her slender hands grasping the tentacle piercing her heart, caressing the suckers that hesitated to open.

The eyes usually hidden behind glasses were now fully exposed, their pale pupils slightly moist, deeply staring at the terrifying monster in front of them, as if harboring countless unspoken love words.

The tentacle pinned her but hesitated to make the next move, as if truly enchanted.

Lu Jianchuan slowly returned to his human form, his limbs still tentacles. After a crushing battle, he was still in his spotless white suit, his face under the light beautiful as a divine sculpture.

He gazed unwaveringly at “Fang Xingzhou,” stepping closer.

“Fang Xingzhou” smiled faintly at him.

Watching, Lu Jianchuan couldn’t help but smile as well.

Another tentacle raised to mid-air, sliding from the disguised face down to the lips, probing into her mouth.

“Fang Xingzhou” thought he had finally been deceived, gently closed her lips, vigorously enveloping his tentacle, delicately licking with the tip of her tongue.

Lu Jianchuan’s smile deepened, pretending to be enchanted, lowered her from mid-air, coming even closer.

—Then, while maintaining this intimate posture, he mercilessly pierced “Fang Xingzhou’s” throat with a tentacle, twisted the suckers, and swiftly consumed her, leaving only a piece of human skin.

The features belonging to “Fang Xingzhou” melted away rapidly. The “Queen Ant,” already on her last legs, could no longer maintain the disguise, issuing a piercing scream but was instantly surrounded by tentacles.

In a blink, only Lu Jianchuan was left on stage, along with an unidentified pool of slime.

The “Queen Ant,” classified as A+, seemed as if she had never existed.

The surroundings were silent, no one had the strength to witness the final outcome.

Lu Jianchuan cleaned his stained shirt

with a tentacle, fully returning to his human form, glanced at the slime on the ground, and commented in a strange tone, “Thank you for changing dinner to my preferred taste… It was delicious.”

He seemed to have indigestion, holding his “stomach” for a while, then walking past the fallen special agents, approaching Li Xuan.

Before fainting, Li Xuan was still clutching the communicator tightly.

Lu Jianchuan bent down slightly, picking up the earpiece from Li Xuan’s ear, listening carefully for a few seconds. The signal was affected by an unknown magnetic field, the voice on the other end persistent yet intermittent, asking about Li Xuan’s condition and whether support was needed.

Lu Jianchuan pressed the talk button, politely speaking, “Good evening.”

There was a pause on the other end.

“…Mr. Jellyfish,” the operator recognized him, “…good evening. May I ask about the current situation at the scene?”

Lu Jianchuan scanned over the members of the Institute for Anomalies, responding, “There are injuries but no fatalities. You can end the lockdown and send medical personnel for treatment.”

“And you?” the person immediately asked, not mentioning the ‘Queen Ant’, wisely choosing a more cautious question, “Is your engagement party proceeding smoothly?”

Hearing the words ‘engagement party’, Lu Jianchuan’s eyes curved in joy.

“Of course,” Lu Jianchuan’s tone was light, “Please do not disturb me after this, as it will be my private time.”

The person on the other end breathed a sigh of relief.

“Alright!” he said, “I wish you a pleasant evening, and may you achieve your desire to conceive a new life.”

Lu Jianchuan’s mood improved even further, thanking, “Thank you.”

After ending the call, Lu Jianchuan walked to the large floor-to-ceiling glass, using the faint light reflected from the glass to carefully tidy his clothes and hair, then approached the locked rest room, taking a light breath, somewhat nervously opening the door.

Outside was a horrific battlefield, but inside, it was like a paradise sealed by a barrier.

His true love lay unconscious on the sofa, still holding the knife, frowning as if in a nightmare.

Lu Jianchuan’s gaze softened immediately. He approached quietly, knelt on one knee in front of the sofa, kissed Fang Xingzhou’s warm lips, his cheeks slowly blushing with excitement.

After the lingering kiss, he solemnly placed an engagement ring on Fang Xingzhou’s ring finger, then effortlessly lifted him up, his eyes burning, whispering in his ear:

“My dear, tonight has been a wonderful night,” he licked his lower lip, “I’ve eaten my fill… let’s make a child.”

Auther:

Goodnight, and good luck with the pregnancy. XDDDD

Translater: I’m back….. HAHHAHAHAHAHAHAH Im finally almost done with my tests.
