Shen-ge?!
Jing Li was startled, followed by an overwhelming joy.
Originally, he regretted having to rush back and would likely miss their video chat that evening. Little did he expect the man himself to appear before him.
A smile quickly spread across Jing Li’s face. Without bothering to continue talking to the actress in front of him, he nodded to her and greeted her briefly before striding toward the man at the end of the alley. His steps were almost impatient.
“Shen-ge, why are you here?” Jing Li asked, gazing up at the man. His smile broadened as an unusual liveliness radiated from him.
It had only been a month or two since he joined the crew, and he video-chatted with the other person every day during that time. But seeing him in person made it feel like they hadn’t met in years, a mix of surprise, excitement, and a tinge of sweetness welling within him.
“Well, to see you,” Compared to Jing Li, Gu Tingshen appeared much calmer, with a composed expression and no unnecessary shifts on his face. He gave him a fixed look before turning and walking ahead, “Let’s go.”
Jing Li was slightly sobered by his indifferent attitude. For some reason, he sensed a hint of displeasure in Gu Tingshen’s tone.
Before he could dwell on it, Gu Tingshen had already walked ahead, and Jing Li quickly followed.
Along the way, he greeted the director and the crew, changed his clothes, removed his makeup in the dressing room, and followed Gu Tingshen to the hotel.
The surroundings were dark, with only buildings, streetlights, and sparse greenery lining the path, looking no different from usual.
But today, with Gu Tingshen by his side, everything seemed somehow different. Even the walls hidden in the darkness seemed endearing.
Looking at the broad and tall back of the man ahead, Jing Li felt he could never have enough of this view. Thinking about spending the next two days together, his smile widened involuntarily.
He quickened his steps to walk shoulder to shoulder with Gu Tingshen, turning his head to call out, “Shen-ge.” Just as he was about to ask if he had any plans for places to visit, suggesting they could play around here for a day before heading back or stay for two days in the film city, Gu Tingshen abruptly turned to a nearby assistant and said, “You head back first. I have something to discuss with Xiao Jing.”
The assistant looked at him, then at their second young master, who didn’t refuse. He nodded and left.
After the assistant left, Jing Li turned to the man beside him. “What’s wrong? Can’t we…”
Before he could finish his words, Gu Tingshen grabbed his wrist, pulling him towards the wall and pinning him against it.
The sudden action left Jing Li momentarily stunned, and by the time he came to his senses, his back was against the wall.
“What are you…” He looked up at the man in confusion, but before he could continue, a shadow loomed over him as Gu Tingshen leaned in, one hand braced against the wall beside Jing Li’s face, bringing his sharp features uncomfortably close.
Jing Li froze, staring at him dumbfoundedly.
“How does this feel?” Gu Tingshen pinned him against the wall, his gaze heavy as if brewing a storm. Cupping Jing Li’s chin with his other hand, he leaned in until their noses touched. “Does it make your heart race?”
“Shen-ge, you…” Jing Li’s heart pounded erratically, his face flushing from the man’s bold actions. Yet amidst his fluster, he sensed something was off, the situation feeling strangely familiar…
A sudden flash of clarity hit Jing Li’s mind, and he remembered the scene he had filmed earlier with the actress.
Looking at his current situation, he gazed at the man in mild bewilderment. “Are you… jealous because you saw me acting with that actress?”
Gu Tingshen remained silent, his jaw tightening visibly.
Jing Li understood immediately. Seeing the man’s darkened expression, he quickly explained, “No, you misunderstood. I didn’t actually kiss her. It was just an angle trick for the scene.”
Feeling the tension ease from the man, Jing Li met his gaze earnestly. “I don’t have enough time to think of anyone else when you’re constantly on my mind.”
Stunned by his pure gaze and hearing his words that were no different from a confession, Gu Tingshen couldn’t hold back any longer, pulling Jing Li into a tight embrace.
The earlier sourness in his heart was instantly replaced by overwhelming sweetness.
Jing Li also wrapped his arms around him in return.
Feeling the strength around his waist, Gu Tingshen’s breath quickened, and he tightened his embrace. He buried his face in Jing Li’s neck, inhaling the faint fragrance, finally feeling fulfilled.
After a moment, Gu Tingshen loosened his hold, cupping the back of Jing Li’s head as their foreheads touched. His voice was hoarse, “I’m sorry, I didn’t handle my emotions well earlier.”
“But seeing you so intimate with someone else was unbearable.”
“Though it may seem inappropriate to say this now, I can’t really wait any longer.”
He leaned back slightly, looking into Jing Li’s eyes with gentle sincerity. “Xiao Jing, I want to be your boyfriend. I want to openly have you, take care of you, and keep you forever.”
“Be with me, okay?”
Gu Tingshen’s tone carried an eagerness and longing by the end.
But Jing Li couldn’t think about anything else. He was too overwhelmed by Gu Tingshen’s sudden confession, especially the deep, sexy murmur of the final “okay,” causing a tingly, electrifying sensation in his ears. His heart began to pound wildly again.
He didn’t hesitate for long, and after a second or two of surprise, he smiled at the man before him and replied, “Okay.”
Hearing his acceptance, Gu Tingshen immediately pulled him back into a tight embrace, his eyes brimming with unconcealable joy and elation.
He held tightly onto the person he had longed for day and night, placing a restrained, chaste kiss on his hair.
“Are you not angry anymore?” Jing Li looked up at him with a smile as he felt his movements.
Gu Tingshen looked down at him, pausing before replying, “I wasn’t angry, just jealous. I haven’t even tasted…”
His gaze flickered to those pale pink lips. “Call me selfish, but I don’t like the idea of anyone else’s scent lingering on Xiao Jing.”
“What lingering scent?” Jing Li frowned slightly, pretending to sniff himself as if proving his innocence. “I only smell your scent. Don’t believe me? Smell for yourself.”
He looked back up at the man in front of him as he spoke.
Gu Tingshen leaned in closer, actually smelling him. But as he breathed in, his eyes darkened, and when he neared Jing Li’s lips, he finally couldn’t resist and suddenly dipped his head, kissing him directly.
Feeling the warm touch on his lips, Jing Li froze momentarily. But before he could react, the warmth left as quickly as it came, like a dragonfly skimming the surface of the water.
“Just smelling isn’t enough; I had to taste it myself to be sure,” Gu Tingshen smiled at the wide-eyed Jing Li in his arms, lightly brushing his lips. “Now I’m certain only my scent lingers on my Xiao Jing.”
His tone was tender and gentle.
Jing Li looked up at him wordlessly, as if stunned by his sudden action or still savoring the pleasant sensation.
His gaze trailed from the man’s smiling eyes down to those beautiful thin lips.
Perhaps relishing the feeling, he unconsciously licked his lips and then, taking the initiative, he stood on his tiptoes and kissed him again.
Feeling his movement, Gu Tingshen’s breath hitched as he smoothly cupped Jing Li’s nape, deepening the kiss.
……
……
Perhaps tasting a kiss for the first time made them both overly excited. They kissed each other passionately for so long that they grew breathless, their bodies uncontrollably reacting before they finally parted reluctantly.
However, even with some distance, their gazes remained entwined, and once their rapid breaths steadied, they couldn’t help but be drawn back, pecking at each other’s lips again.
Amidst the affectionate kisses, they couldn’t help but laugh softly at one another.
The intimate atmosphere made it seem like they were the only two in the world, no one else could intrude.
Caught up in their moment, they failed to notice a shadow standing silently at the corner of the wall, witnessing everything.
Wu Xiaojun stood there, watching the two kiss, his face expressionless but his fingers curling white around a bouquet he held.
He had his assistant order these rare flowers over two weeks ago from a private garden abroad known for cultivating rare and exquisite blooms, using his connections to secure this bouquet.
Ever since he noticed Jing Li’s fondness for roses, he’d decided to confess with a bouquet of rare Blood Blue Roses1I know blue roses but I cannot find anything on Google and Baidu related to Blood Blue Roses. I did find images of blue roses in Blood+ anime though haha. He had even researched Jing Li’s background, knowing how his feelings had been trampled by that scumbag in the past.
But he was confident and believed himself to be different, thinking his sincere efforts would move Jing Li.
Even if Jing Li didn’t agree immediately, with time and effort while they were both on set, he believed he could eventually win him over.
But he never imagined that his meticulously planned surprise would be foiled so unexpectedly by the scene before him.
Watching the offensive sight, Wu Xiaojun’s face drained of color, feeling his efforts were for naught.
His eyes darkened as he glared at the pair, both angry at Jing Li for hiding this and resentful of Gu Tingshen for stealing his chance.
But as he wallowed in his emotions, a chill suddenly ran down his spine.
Looking up, he met Gu Tingshen’s sidelong glance. Though he couldn’t see his expression clearly, it sent a shiver through his heart.
He was so frightened that his heart skipped a beat, and for a moment he didn’t dare to look any longer, so he ran away in panic.
