AGDK Chapter 6

Cultivation

Falling from over a hundred meters and not dying or becoming disabled can be attributed to two reasons. First, he had a soft dragon cushion. Second, as a warrior, it wasn’t easy to die from a fall. Still, Han Zhiyuan couldn’t help but curse, feeling as though his backside had exploded.

To make matters worse, as soon as he climbed up, he saw the culprit standing a meter away, expressionless. The culprit’s new, luxurious white clothes and silver hair shone, their icy face resembling a layer of frost, while the light red eyes remained calm, as if the previous rage had been an illusion.

Han Zhiyuan felt a wave of frustration, ignoring the dumb dragon still writhing on the ground. He dusted off the leaves and branches from his clothes, then solemnly said to the Peacock King, “We need to talk.”

The Peacock King, still slightly pale, raised an eyebrow almost imperceptibly, then looked down at Han Zhiyuan, even though Han Zhiyuan was half a head taller. Yet, he felt like he was being looked down upon.

Han Zhiyuan didn’t mind, knowing the Peacock King’s supreme status. The shocking scene of the Peacock King crossing the tribulation yesterday still lingered in his mind. Han Zhiyuan wouldn’t be foolish enough to try his luck against the Peacock King’s divine light. From the tribulation to being inexplicably involved and fleeing to this ghostly place, then encountering the Peacock King, Black Egg, and those five martial masters, Han Zhiyuan had been terrified and on the run. Luckily, his mental strength held up. Now, he needed to sort out the situation.

He hadn’t expected the Demon King’s residual soul to be connected to this powerful Peacock King. The key question now was how to break the seal, and did the person before him know anything about it?

The Demon King left no clues, leaving Han Zhiyuan like a headless fly. So, they needed to talk. Also, he had to remind him, could he stop abandoning him every time? Carrying him and then kicking him several meters away, hugging him naked and then kicking him down a hundred meters, what kind of behavior was that?

Han Zhiyuan spoke without thinking, “We’re both men, wasn’t your reaction just now a bit too much?” He regretted it immediately, seeing a crack in the Peacock King’s icy facade. Awkwardly, he added, “I did save you a few times.”

“What exactly do you want to say?” The light red eyes darkened slightly, the voice cold and impatient, but with a hint of curiosity. The Peacock King was puzzled by the human before him. This weak human had an unusually attractive body temperature, even attracting a dragon egg that hadn’t hatched in a thousand years. His soul seemed to call to him, making him want to get closer.

Han Zhiyuan started to speak, but a childish voice interrupted, “Daddy!”

Startled, Han Zhiyuan looked down to see his legs tightly hugged by two little claws.

“Daddy!” The little dragon, with big eyes, looked up at Han Zhiyuan. It had small, tender antlers on its head, was about two meters long, and half a meter tall. Its front half clung to Han Zhiyuan’s leg, and its tail wagged.

Han Zhiyuan was dumbfounded. Is this the legendary noble dragon?

Seeing Han Zhiyuan silent, the little dragon called “Daddy” again, then crawled up his leg, wrapping around him tightly.

The little dragon’s green eyes stared at Han Zhiyuan, looking pitifully cute. Han Zhiyuan was stunned and slapped it away, barely dodging its wet tongue.

“Acting cute is shameful!” Where was the dragon’s dignity and majesty? And although he didn’t believe in dragons, Han Zhiyuan always thought they were live-born, not hatched. So, this was an imprinting issue? Luckily, it didn’t call him “mom,” or it would be awkward.

“Mommy!” The dragon turned to the Peacock King, its eyes lighting up.

Han Zhiyuan almost bit his tongue, watching the dragon roll to the Peacock King’s feet, clinging to his shoes and calling “Mommy,” not daring to climb up.

Han Zhiyuan was speechless. Was this dragon stupid?

He feared the Peacock King would kick it away, but surprisingly, the Peacock King just frowned slightly, looking down at the dragon with stern red eyes. “Is this your thousand-year intelligence?”

Dragons are born rulers, the royal family of demons, born with supreme status. But dragons are rare, their reproduction incredibly difficult. It takes hundreds or thousands of years for a dragon egg to hatch. That’s why the Peacock King fought so hard to save it. Yet, this dragon, despite its long incubation, seemed quite unintelligent.

“Mommy!” The dragon blinked its big eyes, then looked at Han Zhiyuan, “Daddy!” then back to the Peacock King, “Mommy!” repeating endlessly.

Han Zhiyuan: …
Peacock King: …

“Black Egg.” Are you an idiot? Which of these two could produce a dragon like you? Han Zhiyuan held his head.

This crazy world, suddenly becoming a dad to a stupid dragon, with the “mom” being the male Peacock King? What an absurd situation.

The dragon seemed used to being called “Black Egg” by Han Zhiyuan. Hearing the name, its eyes lit up, showing it liked the name.

“From now on, you’re Black Egg. Don’t mess with me again, okay?” Han Zhiyuan patted the dragon’s head. The Peacock King raised an eyebrow, amazed at Han Zhiyuan’s audacity. A warrior daring to call a dragon “dad”?

“Where are we? How do we get out?” Han Zhiyuan scanned the dense forest, feeling a dangerous presence making his spine tingle.

The Peacock King’s expression suddenly changed, urgently saying, “Run!” He turned to leave, but staggered and almost fell. Han Zhiyuan quickly supported him. “What’s happening?”

“Someone’s coming,” the Peacock King’s face darkened, his eyes red. Han Zhiyuan was surprised by the response, as the Peacock King had ignored him before.

“Who?” Han Zhiyuan asked, supporting him while looking back. Seeing nothing but Black Egg behind, he urged, “Explain!”

“Hmph!” The Peacock King’s face turned paler, his voice cold. “A bunch of fools!”

Han Zhiyuan was alarmed, remembering the human experts who attacked the Peacock King during his tribulation. Those people wouldn’t miss such an opportunity now. Realizing this, Han Zhiyuan panicked, knowing his strength was nothing compared to theirs. What should he do? Running seemed the best option.

Just then, a voice echoed in Han Zhiyuan’s mind, “If he dies, you die!”

“Damn!” Han Zhiyuan shivered. That cold, arrogant voice belonged to the Demon King.

Turning, he saw the Peacock King’s pale face watching him, seemingly puzzled and on the verge of collapse.

“Turn into a peacock!” Han Zhiyuan decided, knowing carrying a peacock was easier. The Peacock King’s eyes flashed with anger but transformed into a peacock. Han Zhiyuan grabbed him and ran, Black Egg following.

“Ha ha ha~ Ah ha ha~” A mocking laugh came from all directions. “Peacock King, to think you’d end up like this!”

Han Zhiyuan skidded to a stop, only to be knocked forward by Black Egg, hitting a tree. He yelled, “Stop messing with me, Black Egg!” then protected the Peacock King as he crashed.

“Long time no see, Peacock King.”

An old man on a flying horse looked down at them, focusing on the Peacock King in Han Zhiyuan’s arms.

Despite the situation, the Peacock King remained proud, his red eyes cold, making one shiver.

“Hmph!” The old man snorted. “Twice you failed to ascend, Peacock King. Now, with your spirit shattered, trapped in this cursed place, your power suppressed to a martial master, it seems fate wants you dead.”

Han Zhiyuan’s heart raced. The old man’s words revealed key information, like this place being the Royal Break Mountains and power being suppressed to martial master level, but it didn’t help him.

Seeing the Peacock King’s unyielding pride, the old man grew angrier, summoning a spear and creating a green light blade aimed at the Peacock King.

Han Zhiyuan’s instincts screamed danger. He shouted, “Black Egg, attack!”

Black Egg excitedly lunged at the old man, who then noticed the dragon and became ecstatic, changing his target.

“Green Dragon!” The old man, realizing what it was, produced a golden net, capturing Black Egg.

“Black Egg, come back!” Han Zhiyuan shouted, but it was too late. The net shrank, trapping Black Egg.

“Daddy! Mommy!” Black Egg called, panicked. Han Zhiyuan was desperate, the Peacock King’s eyes turning blood-red.

“Ha ha ha~ A young dragon!” The old man was thrilled, holding Black Egg like a treasure.

A thunderous roar suddenly echoed, the sky darkening as black clouds rolled in, turning day into night.

Another roar followed, the oppressive black clouds and immense pressure making everyone tremble.

“Is this the end of the world?” Han Zhiyuan muttered, feeling incredibly unlucky.
