Ah Sui did not know what was on Blairand’s mind. He was seriously finishing his breakfast, having devoured the strawberry pastry on his plate and gulped down a carton of milk. Suddenly, he remembered that the beautiful prisoner in the cage hadn’t eaten yet. So he placed the tray with the Lulubeast meat soup and egg custard in front of the iron cage door.
Having been frightened by the bite he received yesterday, Ah Sui, still feeling a bit shaken, squatted outside the iron cage. He lightly tapped the tray with the end of his longsword and said a single word to Blairand:
“Eat.”
Blairand remained unmoved. He closed his eyes with indifference, not even glancing at Ah Sui, showing no fear that this action might provoke him and result in a beating.
Ah Sui: “…”
Oh, the bowl is too big to fit inside.
It was only 6:30 in the morning, and Ah Sui hadn’t intended to disturb Xu Cengfeng so early. However, keeping Blairand locked up inside wasn’t a long-term solution. He glanced at the dimly lit sky outside the porthole, then decided to get up and leave the starship to find Xu Cengfeng and get the key.
Blairand only heard a rustling sound in his ears, which soon faded into silence. It seemed the interstellar pirate leader had left. He quietly opened his eyes and finally turned around to look behind him, only to see a warm meal placed at the cage door, with a lollipop stuffed into the gap.
Milk-flavored.
“…”
Seeing this, Blairand slowly reached for the lollipop, but then seemed to remember something and put it back. He had gone six days without food or water, and even the most resilient of zergs might not endure much longer.
Yet, his pride and self-respect prevented him from eating like a dog in the cage.
Ah Sui rarely left the starship, so when he unexpectedly appeared outside, the busy interstellar pirates momentarily froze. Their eyes, which looked at him, were filled with hidden fear. It was clear that Ah Sui’s previous display of fierce swordsmanship had left a lasting impression on them.
Ah Sui, with his arms crossed and holding a pure black longsword, surveyed the surroundings. He found the starship where Xu Cengfeng had spent the night and went straight inside, hoping to find him and get the cage key. However, he came up empty.
“Big Boss, are you looking for the strategist? He left with a small team before dawn to procure supplies. He probably won’t be back until noon.”
The speaker was the plump cook who had delivered the meal to Ah Sui earlier. He was carrying a basin of clean dishes, always wearing a cheerful expression. He never seemed to get angry and was nothing like the violent interstellar pirates.
It was said that a few days ago, when the Klayt Alliance raided a tourist group, they also captured the accompanying chef. Because the plump cook’s skills were exceptional, he was forcibly kept on. However, he seemed to fit right in here without any sign of discomfort.
Ah Sui was surprised that Xu Cengfeng was out. Reflexively, he almost scratched his head but managed to stop himself. He replied emotionlessly, “I see.”
The cook didn’t stay long and turned to prepare lunch. With at least a few hundred interstellar pirates in the Klayt Alliance, breakfast had to be followed by immediate lunch preparations, or there wouldn’t be enough time to cook.
Seeing the cook leave, Ah Sui turned and continued searching for the key inside the starship. Xu Cengfeng wouldn’t carry the key with him while going out to procure supplies; after all, they were not like Carlos, who had no interest in keeping Blairand locked up.
Ah Sui’s sharp eyes spotted something shiny in the gap of Xu Cengfeng’s sleeping chair. He pulled it out and, as expected, it was the key.
“I found it!”
Ah Sui, delighted, tossed the key into the air and caught it with a smooth motion. At that moment, he had forgotten Xu Cengfeng’s warning not to open the cage easily. He turned back to his own starship and directly unlocked the cage for Blairand.
“Click—”
Blairand was always sensitive to the sound of chains. Hearing the noise behind him, he instinctively straightened up. He was surprised to see that the male zerg had used the key to open the cage. His light blue eyes showed a flash of astonishment.
Ah Sui lifted the cage door and then crouched down, placing the dishes from the tray one by one in front of Blairand. After finishing this task, he moved away from the cage and sat cross-legged in the spot he had occupied earlier.
Ah Sui said, “Eat.”
From this distance, Blairand probably wouldn’t bite him again, right?
Blairand frowned as he watched Asui. He noticed that the black-haired male zerg’s face showed no emotion, as if he was simply there to provide him with a meal. Eventually, feeling that he had been stared at for too long, Ah Sui turned silently to face the wall, leaving only a somewhat indifferent silhouette behind.
Ah Sui, being someone who is easily influenced by appearances, felt a bit embarrassed after being stared at by the beautiful Blairand for too long.
Blairand: “…”
Blairand slowly walked out of the cage, his tall figure casting a heavy shadow on the ground. The shackles on his wrists clinked with every movement. He kept his gaze lowered on Ah Sui’s back, contemplating whether to seize the leader and escape from the pirate crew. His fingertips quietly extended and sharpened, the tips flashing with a cold gleam.
Blairand slowly raised his hand, preparing to attack Ah Sui from behind. However, when his gaze fell on Ah Sui’s smooth neck, his actions momentarily froze.
The males of the Salaranfa, due to their rarity and preciousness, are held in the highest regard, especially in the West where males are revered. They hold an absolute dominant position. In the South, having been absorbed into the Western territory long ago due to its weaker influence, every female is taught from birth to protect the males, with nobles even more so.
Military females mostly pursue honor, and harming a male is considered disgraceful.
Blairand’s instinct to overlook Ah Sui’s gender due to his identity as an interstellar pirate made him realize a moment too late that this pirate was also a precious male. In that brief moment of distraction, he missed the best opportunity to act.
Ah Sui felt a bit foolish sitting with his back to the wall and decided to turn around again. Seeing this, Blairand quickly hid his hand behind him, only to watch as the male zerg used his longsword to hook the lollipop from the cage door.
Ah Sui was a bit hungry in the morning. He unwrapped the lollipop and tossed it into his mouth, but when he looked up, he saw the golden-haired beauty staring at him. He paused for a moment, thinking, “…”
Why isn’t he eating?
Blairand’s fingertips, which had been hidden behind him, twitched slightly, his claws retracting silently. He hesitated for a moment but ultimately abandoned his thoughts.
Forget it…
After all, with his current weakened state, even if he did seize this male zerg and escape, he might not be able to get away.
Blairand didn’t really intend to starve himself to death. Inside the starship, there was no table, so he had to sit cross-legged on the floor like Ah Sui. His well-built upper body was exposed to the air, which was not permitted by the rules in the West. Nevertheless, Blairand ate the food from the tray with an expression unchanged.
Before being imprisoned by Carlos, Blairand had likely been a well-educated noble from the imperial capital. His every glance and expression exuded a jade-like gentleness and refinement. Even after six days without food, he did not eat ravenously. Every action was imbued with an inherent grace.
Ah Sui, having grown up in a mountain village and rarely seeing such beautiful and delicate people, couldn’t help but glance a few more times. However, when Blairand noticed, Ah Sui quickly averted his gaze and focused on carefully cleaning the sword in his hand.
Blairand had not paid much attention before, but now, upon closer observation, he realized that the interstellar pirate leader was quite delicate-looking. The leader had fair skin and eyes that were both dark and bright, more beautiful than the females from the South. In the imperial capital, he would undoubtedly be highly sought after, with luxury and fine clothing not being a problem.
Blairand couldn’t understand why someone like him would be an interstellar pirate here.
The meal was eaten very slowly. Blairand thought that once he finished, he might be put back in the cage, considering his current status as a prisoner, a captive, and the leader’s “pet.”
Blairand finished the last bit of food in the bowl and pushed the ceramic bowl outward, waiting for Ah Sui to put him back in the cage. However, Ah Sui showed no reaction, merely continuing to clean his longsword.
The sword was long and sharp, engraved with some kind of ancient pattern, indicating it was quite old.
Blairand, who was given to Ah Sui by Carlos because of his rare wings, couldn’t help but think that this interstellar pirate might be contemplating how to remove his wings. He touched the still-healing wound on his right shoulder, seemingly unafraid of the pain, and looked down to remind, “Even if you kill me, you won’t be able to take my wings.”
In the South, when a female zerg dies, their wings also wither and shrink, so they can only be removed while the zerg is still alive. Blairand was unafraid of pain, and the interstellar pirate crew didn’t have any special drugs to force a female to reveal his zerg form. As long as he was unwilling, no zerg could take his wings.
The once-thriving race was now on the brink of extinction, and there were many brave souls who had died for their freedom.
Hearing this, Ah Sui paused in his actions and instinctively looked at Blairand, only to see him already sitting back in the cage. The iron shackles were locked around his pale, slender wrists, creating a strange kind of beauty but also restricting his freedom.
When Carlos initially sent Blairand over, he only provided the key to the cage, but not the keys to the shackles on his hands and feet.
Ah Sui sheathed his sword and was about to explain that he meant no harm when he suddenly heard a commotion and cries coming from outside. Filled with suspicion, he opened the cabin door and walked out.
The Klayt Alliance, being an interstellar pirate organization, practiced the law of the jungle. Each captured male zerg was distributed evenly; the big boss received the largest share, and the other leaders distributed the rest based on their strength. In a sense, the males had become their private property.
Aside from being used for ransom exchanges, those male zergs had other purposes as well, such as…
On the bed.
“Help! Let me go! I really can’t release any pheromones. Please spare me!”
The Third Leader, Black Fang, came from the North where females were revered. He had a rough personality and particularly enjoyed training the tender young males. As Ah Sui stepped out of the cabin, he saw Black Fang ordering his subordinates to forcibly drag several imprisoned males out of the starship. The scene was full of cries and commotion, truly a miserable sight.
Black Fang was holding a male with brown hair. Hearing the plea, he spat heavily on the ground and said, “Hmph! Can’t release pheromones? Don’t lie to me! If you can’t release pheromones, I’ll drain every drop of blood from you!”
When on the bed, a female zerg needs the male’s pheromones to be aroused; otherwise, it’s like scratching an itch through a boot. However, the males of the Salaranfa are generally timid, and once frightened, they are unable to release pheromones, much like an Earth man who can’t achieve an erection.
If he can’t get hard, there’s no point in forcing it, right?
“Even if you drain my blood, it won’t make a difference!”
Black Fang refused to believe this. His already dark complexion looked even fiercer when he was angry. His large, fan-like hand was raised high, ready to teach the male a lesson. However, just then, a gust of wind whooshed by his ear, and a cold, sharp longsword suddenly appeared against his neck.
“Let him go—”
Ah Sui had somehow appeared behind Black Fang. The longsword he held pressed against Black Fang’s neck with a bit of force, causing a thin line of blood to seep from the blade.
Black Fang, startled, turned around and saw a black-haired youth in white clothing staring coldly at him. He was immediately terrified and quickly released the male zerg he had been holding. “B-Big Boss! How did you get out?!”
Ah Sui ignored Black Fang’s words and, with a swift flourish of his sword, pointed at the few male zergs and said, “From now on, they are under my control. You are not allowed to touch them again.”
The males that Black Fang had captured were actually the same ones who had been imprisoned with Ah Sui earlier. Ah Sui had a good memory and hadn’t forgotten these “companions.” He thought to himself that since he was now the big boss, it shouldn’t be too difficult to claim a few males for himself.
Black Fang, who had been trembling with fear, changed his expression instantly upon hearing that Ah Sui wanted to take his “property.” “Big Boss, the males we capture are distributed evenly. No one is allowed to take another’s property. That’s the rule!”
Ah Sui, puzzled, responded, “Even distribution? Then why is there not a single male on my starship?”
Other leaders had several starships and countless males, but Ah Sui found that so far, he only seemed to have a broken starship and one beautiful female zerg.
Black Fang was momentarily at a loss for words, stammering. Since the death of the previous leader, Klayt, he and Carlos had divided up all the property and males that were captured. Ah Sui’s sudden rise to this position left him with nothing but a bare command.
But he couldn’t say that outright; what if Ah Sui ordered them to give everything back?
With a rough tone, Black Fang said, “Big Boss, the males are earned through real effort, not just by talking!”
He had worked hard to capture these males—why should they be given to some inexperienced young man?!
“Earned through real effort?”
Ah Sui slowly chewed on these words, as if he understood something: “So, can I also take your males through my own efforts?”
Black Fang was taken aback again: “I never said that.”
But Ah Sui had indeed thought of it that way. He sheathed his sword behind him and directly challenged Black Fang, “You come and fight me. Whoever wins will take these males.”
In their old martial village, there was a rule: the one with the best and most powerful skills was the one everyone followed.
The Klayt Alliance, being a bandit den, followed a similar principle: the one with the strongest fists was the boss. In a sense, it aligned perfectly with the village’s rules. The surrounding interstellar pirates, eager to watch the excitement, immediately began to cheer and gather into a circle:
“Fight! Fight!”
“Third Leader, step up and challenge him! Make him cry and beg!”
It was unclear who shouted that phrase, but it echoed through the crowd of zergs, and no one could identify the source. However, it sparked a chorus of agreement. Clearly, the interstellar pirates were dissatisfied with Ah Sui being the leader of the Klayt Alliance and were determined to pull him down.
Black Fang found himself in a difficult position, his face turning grim. He had already witnessed Ah Sui’s formidable and unpredictable skills that night; even dozens of interstellar pirates couldn’t defeat him. Challenging him directly seemed like seeking certain death!
But he had over a hundred subordinates. If he showed fear today, how could he expect his subordinates to respect him?
After waiting a long time without hearing Black Fang’s response, Ah Sui took it as a refusal to the challenge and directly waved to Heim and the others, “Come over, follow me.”
Heim and the others were overjoyed and quickly escaped the pirates’ restraints to hide behind Ah Sui. When Ah Sui had talked about escaping from the bandit hideout, they thought he was being foolish. They hadn’t expected that, in just a few days, he would transform into the leader of the Klayt Alliance!
Heim, with tears in his eyes, said, “Ah Sui, please help us escape. That female zerg is a complete madman, insisting that we all serve him!”
They can’t even get it up!
Ah Sui reassured them, “Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered.”
With that, Ah Sui turned to leave with Heim and the others. However, at that moment, a fierce gust of wind suddenly rushed from behind. Black Fang’s fingertips had transformed into a semi-zerg state, and his face was twisted in a snarl as he charged toward Ah Sui:
“Damn male! Do you think I’m afraid of you?!”
