When Tang Yifeng arrived at Han Zhiyuan’s apartment, it was already three days later. He was wearing a black baseball cap and a mask, covering himself tightly. His cold, arrogant eyes were hidden behind sunglasses, which concealed all his sharpness. Only the tips of his chestnut-colored hair, which were soft and stuck to his fair skin, were visible. His casual attire and backpack further diminished his sharpness, making him look more like a vibrant college student than a big star.
Even though he was wrapped up like a zongzi (a traditional Chinese rice dumpling), his tall, slender figure and the aura that he couldn’t hide still easily attracted attention.
Han Zhiyuan smiled as he opened the door, welcoming Tang Yifeng warmly. However, Tang Yifeng remained calm, as if to say, “Since I dared to come, I’m not afraid of what you might do.”
“Make yourself at home,” Han Zhiyuan said, as if greeting an old friend he hadn’t seen in a while, with no hint of the past rivalry between them. For a moment, Tang Yifeng felt that this person had changed.
“Want something to drink?” Han Zhiyuan, dressed casually in a loose tank top and sweatpants, exuded an easygoing aura. His tall, strong physique, especially the masculine scent after exercising, made him very attractive. The way he wore flip-flops added to his relaxed vibe, a stark contrast to his refined image on screen. Tang Yifeng, feeling slightly uncomfortable, turned his head away. Despite mentally preparing for any situation before coming, he was still unsure how to handle this version of Han Zhiyuan. However, since Han Zhiyuan was not overstepping any boundaries, Tang Yifeng couldn’t deliberately make things difficult.
“Whatever,” Tang Yifeng replied indifferently.
Han Zhiyuan smiled at him without any hidden motives, making Tang Yifeng turn his head away again. When Han Zhiyuan brought him freshly brewed coffee, his favorite, Tang Yifeng felt inexplicably awkward. He didn’t know how to deal with this Han Zhiyuan.
After serving the coffee and some cut fruit, Han Zhiyuan said, “Have a drink first. I’ll go take a shower.” Seeing that Tang Yifeng didn’t respond, he added, “Feel free to use anything, just like at home. Don’t be reserved.”
Tang Yifeng silently glanced at Han Zhiyuan’s tall figure heading to the bathroom, frowning again. What was this man up to?
When Han Zhiyuan came out after his shower, he was drying his hair with a towel and peeking into the living room, worried that Tang Yifeng might have left. But he needn’t have worried.
Tang Yifeng was sitting quietly on the sofa, head down, seemingly writing in a notebook. His chestnut hair looked a bit red under the light from the window, making it even more striking.
Indeed, a man focused on his work is the most handsome. Han Zhiyuan grinned and sat across from him, saying, “I thought you might leave while I was in the shower.”
Tang Yifeng, engrossed in preparing for a new song, was startled by the sudden voice, his body tensing up. He really disliked being interrupted, but then he remembered he was in someone else’s home.
And this bastard… “You…” Tang Yifeng’s body stiffened further, but he swallowed his words, his face changing color several times.
Han Zhiyuan, wearing only a towel around his lean waist, exposed his toned upper body. His tanned skin and well-defined muscles made him very attractive. Tang Yifeng, who had a lean figure and rarely exercised, felt an acute sense of inadequacy.
This bastard, sitting on the sofa so nonchalantly, didn’t consider his guest’s feelings at all. Tang Yifeng nearly lost his temper.
This bastard was doing it on purpose.
“What? Are you satisfied with my physique?” Han Zhiyuan asked shamelessly, seeing Tang Yifeng glaring at him.
Tang Yifeng’s frown deepened. “Han Zhiyuan, what do you want? Just tell me straight. I don’t like beating around the bush.”
Han Zhiyuan continued to dry his hair, looking at Tang Yifeng. “Good, I don’t like beating around the bush either. We’re quite alike in that way.”
Tang Yifeng was speechless and just gave him a cold look. After three seconds, he couldn’t help but ask, “Are we that close?”
Han Zhiyuan blinked. “Aren’t we?”
“Don’t you think this is impolite?” Tang Yifeng was nearly gritting his teeth. Seeing Han Zhiyuan’s exposed upper body, he was certain this was intentional provocation. Even between two men, this was too much. Did this guy have no shame?
“Not everyone gets this privilege,” Han Zhiyuan shamelessly replied.
Tang Yifeng’s face darkened as he turned his head away. “Go put on some clothes!”
“Are you not satisfied?”
To Tang Yifeng’s shock, Han Zhiyuan leaned over, his handsome face inches from Tang Yifeng’s. The sudden proximity and the scent of fresh shampoo made Tang Yifeng’s body tense up even more.
“Han Zhiyuan!” Tang Yifeng’s chest heaved with anger, his eyes filled with rage. “You broke your promise!”
Wasn’t it agreed not to do anything else? This shameless bastard was indeed untrustworthy! Tang Yifeng grabbed his bag, ready to leave.
Han Zhiyuan quickly grabbed him, but the enraged Tang Yifeng, thinking Han Zhiyuan was trying to use force, swung a punch without thinking.
Seeing that he’d gone too far, Han Zhiyuan caught Tang Yifeng’s fist and restrained him, trying to calm him down. “Calm down, I was just joking.”
“Who’s joking with you? Are you sick? Too full with nothing to do?” Tang Yifeng struggled, but he couldn’t break free. Han Zhiyuan’s arms were like iron, making Tang Yifeng feel both furious and humiliated as a fellow man. This only made him angrier.
Han Zhiyuan pushed him back onto the sofa, the teasing look in his eyes completely enraging Tang Yifeng. “Let go!” Tang Yifeng shouted, feeling both the humiliation of being overpowered and the irritation of Han Zhiyuan’s doting expression.
In the struggle, Han Zhiyuan’s towel slipped, leaving Tang Yifeng unaware until Han Zhiyuan grunted.
“Don’t move,” Han Zhiyuan said, tightening his grip on the squirming Tang Yifeng, his breath hot on Tang Yifeng’s neck. “If you move, I’ll eat you up.”
The masculine scent and invasive presence made Tang Yifeng freeze. The hot, hard pressure against him was almost too much to bear.
“Han Zhiyuan!!!”
Tang Yifeng felt a murderous rage, realizing Han Zhiyuan’s arousal was pressing against him. He was about to explode.
“I told you not to move,” Han Zhiyuan said, releasing him and shamelessly adding, “It’s just a normal physiological reaction. Don’t get excited.”
“Excited my ass!” Tang Yifeng felt his patience breaking.
Han Zhiyuan, still amused, said, “Alright, alright. I’ll go put on some clothes, okay?”
He forced Tang Yifeng back onto the sofa. “Don’t you want to know why I want you to live with me? Don’t you want to know my intentions?”
Tang Yifeng, on the brink of losing his temper, regained some composure. “What are your intentions?”
“At least let me put on some clothes,” Han Zhiyuan said, pointing to his bare body.
Tang Yifeng blushed, especially seeing Han Zhiyuan’s aroused state. He almost wanted to cut it off.
Turning away, he tossed the towel back at Han Zhiyuan. “Hurry up!”
“Right away!” Han Zhiyuan grabbed the towel, grinning.
When Han Zhiyuan returned, fully dressed, Tang Yifeng had regained his icy composure. “Speak,” he said, not wanting to stay a moment longer.
“What I said that day was true,” Han Zhiyuan said seriously.
“Which part?” Tang Yifeng asked, eyebrow raised.
“I really do like you. I wanted you to live with me because I genuinely want to try being with you.”
Han Zhiyuan’s sincerity was evident, but Tang Yifeng couldn’t believe it. Han Zhiyuan’s change was too sudden.
“What game are you playing?”
“It doesn’t matter if you don’t believe me,” Han Zhiyuan said with a serious smile. “I’ll prove it with actions.”
Tang Yifeng remained skeptical. “So what if I believe you? The result is the same.”
Han Zhiyuan sighed. “Life is tough. You can’t make conclusions too early.”
“I had a near-death experience and realized life is too short to waste.”
Tang Yifeng looked at him, uncertain but contemplative.
