Chapter 148

Chapter 148

Xiao Zhuang’s mind was blank. By the time he came to his senses, things had already escalated beyond his control.

He was just in his early twenties, at the peak of his youthful vigor.

At night, he sometimes had those kinds of dreams, and waking up in the morning, he would feel a damp coolness in his pants. More often than not, he would wake up early in the morning, not daring to leave the bed, clutching the blanket, waiting for it to subside before he could leave the room.

Xiao Zhuang thought to himself that this couldn’t continue. He needed to calm down and have a good talk with Wu Shuang.

But in reality, under the clumsy attempt to please the other person, his blood surged, and his body’s instincts overwhelmed his reason.

Wu Shuang was inexperienced in kissing, and her tongue felt stiff and awkward in his mouth. After he pulled her hand over, she tightly clamped it with her legs, and there was no further action.

Xiao Zhuang tightly closed his eyes, trying to endure, but he couldn’t hold back. He rolled over and pressed the other person onto the bed, holding his face, kissing fiercely.

Only when the two cooperated did this kiss start to make sense.

After the kiss, both were gasping for breath. Xiao Zhuang keenly noticed that Wu Shuang beneath him was trembling slightly all over.

He felt scared.

Xiao Zhuang’s rationality suddenly returned, but before he could turn over, he was firmly held back by a pair of slender arms around his back.

Wu Shuang eagerly raised his head to kiss him.

Xiao Zhuang’s mind was buzzing loudly. His newly returned reason was shattered again, and he could no longer restrain himself.

After they were done, Wu Shuang rested for a while before clumsily getting up from the bed.

Xiao Zhuang had just come down from the bliss of his first experience, his mind still not quite clear.

He watched as Wu Shuang took a towel and climbed back into bed beside him, gently wiping himself.

It was only then that Xiao Zhuang fully woke up. He hurriedly got up, intending to take the towel to clean him, but Wu Shuang agilely avoided his hand. After a few quick wipes, he handed the used towel to him, and Xiao Zhuang took it to wash himself.

While washing, he could feel the stickiness on the towel. Xiao Zhuang lowered his eyelids, his heart beating a little faster. He closed his eyes to barely suppress the restless feeling.

Early the next morning, before dawn, Wu Shuang got up to dress and comb his hair.

By the time Xiao Zhuang woke up, the hot water was already prepared, the robes were neatly laid by the bedside, and the shoes were ready to be put on as soon as he got out of bed.

As Xiao Zhuang washed up, Wu Shuang stood by and served him, despite Xiao Zhuang repeatedly saying there was no need, he insisted.

Xiao Zhuang couldn’t do anything about it. When the time was almost up, he had to compromise.

Once they were ready, the newlywed couple went next door to kowtow and serve tea to his parents.

Wu Shuang walked ahead, while Xiao Zhuang followed behind.

Casually, Xiao Zhuang noticed that Wu Shuang’s posture seemed a bit strange when he walked, and after thinking deeply, Xiao Zhuang’s face turned red.

Last night, he experienced intimacy for the first time, too passionately, and he feared that Wu Shuang might not be feeling well.

Xiao Zhuang felt even more guilty.

Xiao Zhuang’s mother hadn’t slept well last night, her feelings mixed.

Today, her son and daughter-in-law came to kowtow and serve tea. She glanced at the two kneeling on the ground, feeling somewhat relieved.

Wu Shuang had gained a little weight; his face became more lively, no longer having the miserable look from before. Instead, he looked somewhat attractive.

Xiao Zhuang’s elder sister who was married off had also returned.

After staring at Wu Shuang for a while, she whispered to her mother’s ear, “My younger sister’s figure may be thin, but judging by his figure, he’s good for childbirth.”

Hearing this, her mother felt even better.

When Wu Shuang softly said, “Parents, please have some tea,” Xiao Zhuang’s mother smiled and responded with a pleased “Oh,” and drank the tea offered by her daughter-in-law.

……

On the third day after Xiao Zhuang and Wu Shuang got married, they returned home with large and small bags in hand.

Qiu Henian and Qingyan prepared a large table of dishes to entertain them, observing all the customary courtesies as if they were their own children.

Having lived here for half a month, Wu Shuang didn’t feel nervous or unfamiliar. However, being accustomed to reading others’ expressions, he was cautious in everything he did.

Whenever Xiao Zhuang occasionally served him food, he would only eat what was in front of him. During meals, he also kept an eye on everyone at the table, quickly getting up to fetch anything that was running low.

After eating almost all his food, little Jindou couldn’t sit still and wanted to go out to play.

Seeing this, Wu Shuang put down his chopsticks before finishing his meal, went to pick Jindou up, and wanted to accompany him outside.

Before the two could leave, Qingyan stopped them.

Qingyan held Jindou’s little hand and said, “If Jindou wants to play, he can only play inside the house for now. We’ll accompany you once the adults finish eating.”

Jindou pouted and said, “But I want to go out now.”

Wu Shuang interjected, “It’s alright. I’m done eating. I’ll take him out. Don’t worry.”

Qingyan shook his head and said, “We shouldn’t spoil the child. Jindou, be good. The little white rabbit must be feeling hungry right now. Go feed the rabbit outside.”

Jindou obediently went to the outer room, grabbed some vegetable leaves, and came back to squat down to feed the little rabbit.

Wu Shuang thought Qingyan was angry and felt uneasy.

Qingyan held Wu Shuang’s hand and sat back at the table.

Looking at him gently, he said, “We recognize you as our adopted son not just for appearances. This place is now your maternal home. Being overly polite to your family members here will only create distance.”

“I know we’re not that close yet. You should visit often in the future. If there’s anything bothering you, even if you’re happy or not, come back and talk to me and your adoptive father.”

Qingyan used his chopsticks to pick a few dishes and put them on his plate, saying, “Little Shuang, eat more. Gain some weight so your parents can rest assured.”

Wu Shuang nodded with his head lowered, wiped his eyes with his hand, and picked up his chopsticks to eat.

Xiao Zhuang watched from the side, his eyes also feeling a bit teary.

Qiu Henian said, “Little Shuang has had it tough. Treat him well in the future.”

Xiao Zhuang nodded deeply, making a heartfelt “Mm.”
