That night, Chu Yinlong had a rare nightmare.
In the dream, he is a policeman chasing after criminals. After a tough fight, he finally met the leader of the criminal organization and cornered him on a cliff. However, when the other party turned around, he realized that the other party was Jiang Dao.
Jiang Dao was covered in blood, with a dagger stuck between his chest and abdomen, coughing up blood.
However, the subconscious awareness of his identity as a policeman prevented him from taking half a step forward. He could only watch Jiang Dao step back. One step, two steps, and then he finally fell off the cliff.
Then he suddenly appeared in the hospital. The doctor pushed Jiang Dao out of the operating room, shook his head and said, “I’m sorry. After falling from such a height, even I can’t save him.”
Immediately afterwards, reporters swarmed up: “Excuse me, Mr. Chu, what are your thoughts about this? What do you have to say about the accident?” “What was your original intention for designing such a high-risk action of falling off a cliff?” “What happened to the crew’s safety measures?” “Do you think you’re responsible for his death?”
“No , No…”
Chu Yinlong watched as he was surrounded by countless people, getting pushed further and further away from the person lying there.
He struggled to push away the crowd and wanted to rush forward to take a look. He didn’t believe that he would die, and couldn’t accept that he died because of him… However, he couldn’t do anything, he couldn’t drive away the crowd, he could never walk again in front of him…
Full of pain and despair, Chu Yinlong suddenly woke up and found himself holding the quilt tightly. The ends of the quilt wrapped around his waist, immobilizing him.
Chu Yinlong took a deep breath slowly, trying to calm his pounding heartbeat. Then he rolled over, and then untied the quilt wrapped around him. After staring at the ceiling for a long time, he finally sat up and looked at another bed not far away.
Jiang Dao slept very boldly. Half of his quilt hung off the bed, and the hem of his pajamas rode up to his chest. Yet somehow he was able to stay asleep on the pillow and his earbuds did not fall off.
Chu Yinlong’s eyes fell on Jiang Dao, scanning him from head to toe, and finally, his eyes fell on Jiang Dao’s ankle. The white bandage wrapped around it was particularly dazzling in the dim light.
He also knew that Jiang Dao’s arms and limbs were covered with light scrapes and bruises that could not be seen in such dim lighting, but he clearly remembered what they looked like and how they were distributed.
He also had such injuries, but never cared much about it.
By the time he realized what he was doing, Chu Yinlong was already half-kneeling in front of Jiang Dao’s bed, holding the boy’s dangling hand, and gently stroking his fingertips.
Suddenly waking up from his stupor, Chu Yinlong shuddered slightly, ready to withdraw his hand, when Jiang Dao stopped him.
“Don’t go…” Jiang Dao murmured. “Don’t… leave me…”
Chu Yinlong suddenly lost his strength and let Jiang Dao hold his fingers.
Jiang Dao slowly opened his eyes, still a little confused: “…Brother?”
Brother?
Who?
Qin Xiao?
Chu Yinlong frowned subconsciously.
Jiang Dao quickly woke up, let go of Chu Yinlong’s hand, and his voice was still hoarse from sleep when he spoke: “Teacher Chu? What are you…”
Chu Yinlong stretched out his hand and pulled Jiang Dao’s shirt down to cover his stomach, and picked up the part of the quilt that fell off the bed. His tone was stiff: “I got up to use the bathroom, and saw you sleeping with your belly exposed… It’s better to cover it up with the AC blowing.”
After speaking, he got up and strode into the bathroom.
Jiang Dao covered himself with the quilt, raised his hand, and scratched his hair.
Did he just have a dream? What happened in the dream…
Oh, it seems to be about his childhood. He was rescued by a big brother after losing his mother. He thought he had found a place to live, but in the end, because of illness and weakness, he was sold as a slave by that big brother… Thinking back now, it was a miracle he was able to survive on his own at that time.
Frowning, Jiang Dao reached for his mobile phone, and replaced the e-book “The Rise and Fall of Slavery” with “Discussion of Waves and Particles”, then rolled over, hugged the quilt, and closed his eyes.
Leaning against the bathroom door with a self-deprecating smile hanging on the corner of his mouth, Chu Yinlong sighed helplessly.
…
The last scene of the whole film “Operation Red Owl” is Jiang Dao’s mountain road racing scene. It’s a medium shot of him driving on a winding and bumpy mountain road. There’s little they can do in the way of safeguards, and can only be completed by Jiang Dao himself. The speed also can’t be too slow, so it was considered the most dangerous shot.
Sitting in another car facing Jiang Dao, Chu Yinlong was unable to hide his nervous expression.
Next to him, the stunt driver smiled and said: “Mr. Chu, don’t be afraid, I have been a stunt driver for eight years. This car is also specially made to ensure safety, with special seatbelts. Don’t be afraid!”
“Well, I’m alright.” Chu Yinlong nodded slightly and said in a serious tone, “In a while, you have to stick close to the truck… don’t stick too close. There’s a close-up later, so as long as it looks close enough, that’s fine.”
“Okay!” The stunt driver responded immediately.
“If the truck can’t control the distance, be more careful and let it go.” Chu Yinlong added.
“No problem!” The stunt driver nodded with a smile.
Soon, the filming vehicles, drones, fire trucks, and ambulances were all in place, and the final scene of “Operation Red Owl” officially started filming.
Jiang Dao sat in the driver’s seat of the truck, skillfully started the vehicle, and quickly reached the speed required by the script. Driving forward with a gloomy face as scripted, the voice of the assistant director came from the back of his ears: “There is a drone tracking and filming the curve ahead. Pay attention to your expression and be careful.”
After passing the curve smoothly, the assistant director’s voice sounded again: “Okay, slow down, the next is a continuous turn… The road is a little bumpy, pay attention to the speed. Don’t exceed 50.”
Jiang Dao made a short “um”, and proceeded up the mountain road .
“Okay, the car behind is catching up. Next up is the side-by-side shot.” The assistant director instructed in the channel. “Xiao Chu pay attention and try to complete it at once.”
Although this part is filmed continuously, it will be cut into segments later. The fight scenes and close-ups will be interspersed in between, making the overall process easier.
The stunt driver in the back is indeed someone with experience in the industry. As soon as he caught up, there was a picture of two vehicles driving side by side.
The drone also caught up at this time, and the camera pulled back to capture Jiang Dao’s movements.
“Okay, the last corner, steady!”
“The distance between the cars needs to be closer.”
“The distance between is too far, the gap is too large. Get a little closer.”
“Nice – it’s done!”
In the passenger seat of the SUV, Chu Yinlong finally breathed a sigh of relief.
The two cars pulled to a stop. Jiang Dao put one arm out the window of the truck, and threw a wink at Chu Yinlong: “Handsome guy, get in the car and I’ll take you for a ride!”
Chu Yinlong walked under the door. Holding the edge of the window, he raised his face and asked, “What, it’s not exciting enough?”
Jiang Dao laughed twice: “When we go back, I’ll use my own car and drive up a winding mountain road. It’ll be even more exciting. The director doesn’t allow more than 50, but in my own car I must…”
Hearing this, Chu Yinlong raised his hand and gave Jiang Dao a small slap on the head: “How did you pass the test? If there’s no speed limit sign on a single-lane urban road, what’s the maximum speed limit?”
Jiang Dao was wronged: “50…”
At this time, the filming vehicles arrived and stopped slowly on the side of the road, and the assistant director called Chu Yinlong over to check the clip.
This is the last group shot on the schedule. If it’s done, it means that filming of “Operation Red Owl” is officially completed.
Five minutes later, after watching the scenes captured by all the cameras, Chu Yinlong picked up the horn from the director’s seat and announced loudly: “Pass!”
Everyone cheered!
As soon as Chu Yinlong got out of the car, Jiang Dao threw himself into his arms and gave him a bear hug. Caught off guard, he stumbled backwards, and his back hit the wall of the car.
Jiang Dao’s bear hug suddenly turned into a wall hug, trapping Chu Yingdi in the middle. His forehead was in perfect alignment with the opposite party’s lips, and even after regaining balance, their eyebrows and lips lightly touched.
The cheers suddenly stopped.
Chu Yinlong: …
Jiang Dao: …
Not far away, a calm logistics girl lowered her voice and asked the handsome guy beside her: “Did you get it?”
The little handsome guy trembled: “Yes, but Sister An, what do you want these tidbits for? We signed a non-disclosure agreement…”
She didn’t answer, and gave him a kind smile.
At this time, Jiang Dao stepped away from Chu Yinlong and scratched his forehead lightly: “Sorry, my bad…”
Chu Yinlong pursed his lower lip, his throat rolled subconsciously, and his voice was low: “…it’s okay.”
Embarrassed, Jiang Dao rolled his eyes, then put on an excited smile, and hugged the assistant director, the makeup lead, the cameraman, and all other crew members nearby one by one.
The assistant director is also a good person. After hugging Jiang Dao, he went to hug Chu Yinlong. The makeup lead and cameraman immediately followed suit, and the onlookers also hugged each other happily, finally turning into a celebration by the entire cast and crew.
After the “celebration”, everyone packed up and returned to the villa. A small celebration will be held in the villa, but the official banquet will be held after returning to China, so the other actors and crew members involved can attend.
After returning to the villa, Jiang Dao took a shower and lay on the bed dealing with messages. Jing Yu has been asking him when filming will wrap up, eager to congratulate him as soon as possible.
As soon as his reply was sent out, he saw Chu Yinlong pushing the door open. “When do you want to go back to China?”
Surprised, Jiang Dao turned over to face him. “Huh? Does my opinion even count? Aren’t we going back to China after filming?”
Chu Yinlong said: “No. If you have travel plans, just let the logistics team know. If they didn’t book your ticket, you can just leave and come back for the celebration banquet.”
Jiang Dao put an arm behind his head and thought for a while. “Travel, huh… Speaking of which, this country seems to be a popular tourist destination… Ah, no, I can’t understand the words here without an interpreter, so I’d better go back to China with the crew.”
Just in time, filming is over and he has some free time. He should think about how to contact his cheap brother and figure out his life experience.
After a moment of silence, Chu Yinlong cleared his throat.
“If you want to travel, don’t worry about the language barrier.” He tried to keep his tone light. “I’ll go with you.”
