“Thank you very much.” Lu Zhengrong looked at Zhu Yao and said with a smile. “But I’m afraid it won’t be suitable for you to be an agent for the next two years. I will first arrange for you to be Wu Rui’s agent assistant, are you sure you don’t feel wronged?”
“No grievance, thank you, President Lu.” Zhu Yao took the contract, but there was still some panic on his face. “It’s also my fault that I let Jiang Dao face…”
“It’s all over, don’t mention it.” Lu Zhengrong interrupted. “Sometimes people don’t have a choice when working under others. As long as you can keep your heart clear, I will not pursue the past. Okay, go and finish the rest.”
After Zhu Yao left respectfully, Lu Zhengrong picked up the phone and sent a message to her nephew: “It’s done.”
After receiving the message, Chu Yinlong breathed a sigh of relief and silently put the phone back down.
Jiang Dao asked with a smile: “Zhu Yao has entered Longqi?”
“En.” Chu Yinlong nodded. “Since you said that his nature is not bad, I will trust him once.”
Jiang Dao did not mention Zhu Yao any more. After thinking for a moment, “I don’t think it’s over yet…”
“En,” Chu Yinlong agreed. “It’s not over yet, but we shouldn’t rush. Public opinion may be favoring us now, but we can’t push too hard. Once someone takes advantage of the people’s sympathy for the weak and overturns the ship, it will be difficult to fight back.”
…
Once public opinion temporarily stabilized, Jiang Dao and Chu Yinlong returned to the crew to continue filming.
With the crazy wind and waves over the past two days, the crew members were obviously eager to eat this melon.1eat melon = watch the drama/gossip Their eyes were full of curiosity and admiration when seeing Jiang Dao – curious about what happened to him and the Qin family, and admiration for his calm expression, as if nothing happened.
Mu Zhixing asked with concern: “How do you feel? If you really can’t film, I can adjust your scenes to a later date and give you two more days off.”
Jiang Dao said indifferently: “No, I’m fine.”
Chu Yinlong smiled and said: “Don’t worry, if he can’t shoot, I will stop him first.”
Director Mu pouted: “Alright, alright, I get the shivers when you two show off like this… Tsk, your protection is too obvious, everyone in the crew can basically see it. See how you two hide it in the future!”
Jiang Dao was not afraid. “Then we won’t hide it.”
Chu Yinlong also chimed in: “We will find an opportunity and slowly make it public.”
Mu Zhixing: …
The last few scenes are a very concentrated emotional outburst with many twists and turns.
The battle ends in defeat, the resistance army retreats, and the city army is in hot pursuit.
Little Gray Wolf’s identity as a spy remained a secret, and the city guards on the front line didn’t recognize him either. Therefore, in order to survive, he had to fight with the city guards and retreated all the way with the resistance army.
However, his team was scattered during the retreat and he was forced to a steep hillside.
Soon, Xia Tian led a team to support him, and the two of them cooperated to destroy the pursuing army chasing them down the hillside. Little Gray Wolf was injured, and cornered by one last enemy combatant, he fell down the steep hillside.
Xia Tian did not hesitate to turn over and chase after him. He tightly grasped Little Gray Wolf’s wrist, but because of the angle, when sliding down the hillside, a sharp branch penetrated his side, causing the two of them to dangle off the cliff.
The blood flowed down Xia Tian’s arm, flowing over his clenched fingers, dampening Little Gray Wolf’s wrist, and dripped onto Little Gray Wolf’s face.
Seeing Xia Tian’s injuries getting worse and worse, Little Gray Wolf’s face turned pale.
He looked down at the deep cliff below his feet, then looked up at the blood-soaked Xia Tian, and his eyes fell on the wolf head stone sculpture that slipped out of his neck.
He couldn’t control the trembling of his voice: “Let go… Xia-, let go…”
Xia Tian gritted his teeth, his voice was hoarse, and his tone was firm: “I won’t let you die!”
“But I… I’m not worth it…” Little Gray Wolf choked.
Xia Tian clenched his fingers even tighter, gasping in pain, unable to speak.
Blood continued to flow, carrying Xia Tian’s fiery vitality away, soaking Little Gray Wolf’s arm and splashing onto his face…
“I… you shed a lot of blood, you will die…” Little Gray Wolf choked, unable to control his trembling.
The corners of Xia Tian’s mouth twitched, as he gave him a silent smile.
Tears could no longer be held back, and they burst out in an instant.
“You let go… let go!” Little Gray Wolf cried and begged. “Let me go, please… or you will die, you will be dragged to death by me… let go…”
His other arm was quite injured and couldn’t be lifted, so he could only twist the wrist that Xia Tian was holding, trying to break free.
“Hmm…” Xia Tian groaned in pain and said hoarsely, “It hurts… don’t move, or I won’t be able to hold on… Cough, cough…”
The blood that flowed suddenly increased, meandering down over Xia Tian’s neck and face, and drenched the face Little Gray Wolf was looking up.
“I won’t… let go.” Xia Tian smiled. “Even if you struggle, I… will not… let you die…”
Little Gray Wolf finally couldn’t control it and cried out loud: “Xia Tian, you let go! I don’t need you to save me! I don’t need you to save me with my life! In fact, I don’t deserve your rescue at all! You let go – let me die! You… Didn’t you say that nothing is more important than your own life? You’ll really die if you continue like this. You’re bleeding too much… Xia Tian… Can you let go…”
His eyes were dim, and his voice was weak: “I’m also… it’s strange… I… can’t bear to let you die… isn’t it, very… strange?”
Little Gray Wolf could only cry and repeat the words “let go” and “let me die.”
Half of his face was stained with Xia Tian’s blood, and he looked like an evil spirit crawling out of hell.
Xia Tian’s grip around Little Gray Wolf’s wrist was firm. His eyes slowly closed, but the corner of his lips still had that smile…
Mu Zhixing remained quiet, not calling stop.
Hanging on the mountain wall, Jiang Dao looked at Chu Yinlong who was “on the verge of dying” above him. His heart ached, and his whole body was shaking uncontrollably.
This crying scene… he knew it wasn’t a real performance.
Seeing Chu Yinlong’s blood-stained body as if his life was draining away in front of his eyes… The despair and helplessness, the powerlessness of discovering a cruel fate gradually dawned on him…
He has experienced too many losses, causing his heart to become as cold and hard as stone. But when he saw that Chu Yinlong was about to die in front of him, tears burst out naturally, and so too did uncontrollable fear and heartache.
Seeing Jiang Dao crying and feeling the trembling from his wrist, Chu Yinlong felt distressed.
After finishing their lines for a long time, they still didn’t hear Mu Zhixing calling to stop. Chu Yinlong couldn’t wait any longer and shouted: “Director Mu, are we done yet?”
Before he could finish his words, Chu Yinlong directly rode the wire down the hillside with Jiang Dao wrapped tightly in his arms. Jiang Dao hugged Chu Yinlong tightly, leaning on his shoulder, holding the prop branch that seemed to pierce out of him with one hand, crying even more sadly.
The field manager silently controlled the wire and brought the two people who were still hugging back down.
Director Mu tried his best to help the two cover it up. “Cough, are you two too involved in the script? It’s a good thing, um, a good thing… Xiao Chu, coax him so he stops crying, it’s bad for the body.”
When he landed, Jiang Dao’s sobs didn’t stop.
Chu Yinlong rubbed Jiang Dao’s head lightly. “Okay, alright, filming is over, it’s alright. Think happy thoughts? Cheer up, what do you want to eat at night?”
Jiang Dao choked and glared at him. “In your eyes, is all I do, eat?”
Chu Yinlong laughed and leaned close to Jiang Dao’s ear: “Then… let me feed you tonight?”
Then he was punched in the stomach by Jiang Dao.
In the director’s seat, Mu Zhixing nodded with satisfaction after seeing the scene captured in the camera. “Not bad…”
However, seeing his expression, Jiang Dao and Chu Yinlong both had a bad premonition.
Sure enough, I heard Director Mu continue: “But, it’s not good enough. Xiao Chu is not weak enough, and his feelings for Little Gray Wolf are too firm. You have to try to show that kind of contradiction that feels absurd but still insistent… Xiao Dao, you should also pay attention. At this time, Little Gray Wolf feels more self-blame and guilt for Xia Tian than distress, and asking Xia Tian to let go is more of a self-destructive tendency to want to atone.”
Jiang Dao took a slow breath, and nodded.
Mu Zhixing: “Then adjust your moods quickly, and let’s retry in a bit.”
The emotional outburst scene was repeated four times before the perfectionist Director Mu finally expressed his satisfaction.
Jiang Dao’s eyes were swollen from crying again, and the assistant quickly brought an ice pack over to help reduce the swelling.
Seeing Jiang Dao repeating this crying scene over and over again, becoming more silent every time, Mu Zhixing also felt a little distressed. “Let’s end here today. Too many emotional ups and downs is not good for your health. You go back and rest first, and we can talk about the rest tomorrow.”
Jiang Dao didn’t speak, nodded silently, pulled off the ice pack, and got up and left.
After returning to the hotel room, Jiang Dao entered the bathroom. He turned on the shower, sitting in the bathtub with his clothes on, and let the cold water pour over him.
After a while, Chu Yinlong swiped his card to open the door and asked the assistant who was standing by to leave.
He took off his coat and knocked on the door of the bathroom: “Xiao Dao?”
After a long time without a response, Chu Yinlong panicked and pushed the door in without any thought.
It was not warm steam, but a room full of icy cold.
Then he saw-
The boy who was half leaning in the bathtub suddenly opened his eyes, looking at him like a trapped beast, so lonely, as if no soul in this world could get close to him.
Jiang Dao closed his eyes. His voice was hoarse, and cold: “Get out.”
Chu Yinlong’s fingertips fell on the door, but he pushed the door behind him and closed it gently.
He walked to the bathtub, ignoring the cold water splashing above his head, leaned over and hugged Jiang Dao, kissing his cold lips.
Jiang Dao’s eyes remained closed, not responding in the slightest.
Chu Yinlong raised his hand to adjust the water to a suitable temperature, then helped Jiang Dao remove his clothes, gently washed his hair and face, and finally hugged him in his arms and quietly accompanied him without saying a word.
After a long time, Jiang Dao finally opened his mouth. “I remembered too many bad things today, and don’t want you to see me like this… I asked you to leave just now, why didn’t you listen?”
Chu Yinlong kissed Jiang Dao lightly on the lips: “I told you, I’m here, remember.”
