Xiao Dao's little secret

Chu Yinlong noticed that something was wrong with Jiang Dao.

It seemed to start after Tang Yao and Zhou Wei got married.

Ever since he learned that Tang Yao and Zhou Wei had obtained their certificate, Jiang Dao began pushing jobs away using the excuse of being tired. He’d sit in a daze, or with his mobile phone in hand typing away.

Chu Yinlong was curious, but when he leaned over to look, Jiang Dao immediately covered the screen. Obviously, he had some little secret behind his back.

Chu Yinlong asked Jiang Dao, who refused to say anything, so he had to ask Tang Yao for advice.

“You mean, he started after hearing that Wei Wei and I got the certificate?” Tang Yao asked with a smile on the phone.

“…It seems so. But I can’t be sure. It’s just that I found out after you got the certificate.” Chu Yinlong was a little distressed.

“Does he also want to get married?” Tang Yao guessed. “You guys obviously progressed faster than me and Weiwei in the beginning, why haven’t you thought about getting married yet?”

“Probably not.” Chu Yinlong sighed. “He… said earlier that he wasn’t ready for marriage yet, so I thought he was still young and wasn’t in a hurry.”

The two discussed it for a while without coming to a consensus.

So Tang Yao sent an invitation to Chu Yinlong. “How about this, when Wei Wei and I have our wedding, you and Xiao Dao will be our best men. Once Xiao Dao feels the atmosphere of the wedding, maybe he won’t be entangled.”

Thinking this was a solution, Chu Yinlong agreed without hesitation.

Tang Yao and Zhou Wei’s wedding was held on a cruise ship.

With blue waters, blue skies, bright sunshine, the atmosphere of the wedding was perfect.

Jiang Dao and Chu Yinlong wore matching silver-gray suits, standing beside Tang Yao and Zhou Wei in white. The four of them have a very good relationship, and are two pairs of publicly open same-sex lovers in the entertainment industry. When they stood side by side, some even joked that they might as well just have a wedding together.

Jiang Dao’s smile had no flaws. Holding the glass, he gently toasted the person who spoke and drank it.

At the wedding banquet, Jiang Dao drank a lot.

At first, everyone thought that he drank cup after cup because he was happy. But later, Jiang Dao’s attitude of pouring himself alcohol scared everyone present. Chu Yinlong grabbed the wine in Jiang Dao’s hand, apologized to everyone, and brought him out of the wedding banquet.

“What’s wrong?” In the corner of the deck, Chu Yinlong stared at Jiang Dao’s eyes with a solemn expression.

“Nothing…” Jiang Dao lowered his eyelashes.

After drinking so much, he still didn’t feel intoxicated, as if his soul was still out of tune with this world. Wanting to get drunk but not succeeding, this is nothing but anxiety and worry in his heart.

——After this wedding, the original story will end.

Of course Chu Yinlong didn’t believe Jiang Dao’s perfunctory answer.

“Nothing? But you’re like this…” He held Jiang Dao’s cheek and whispered, “Xiao Dao, what are you afraid of? Tell me, please? I am your lover. No matter what happens, I will face it with you.”

Jiang Dao looked into Chu Yinlong’s eyes, but couldn’t say anything.

In the end, he could only reach out and hug the man in front of him, tightening his arms, feeling the firm body and fiery temperature of the other party, as he tried to imprint these sensations into his mind.

The hug lasted for a long time, and then Chu Yinlong heard Jiang Dao ask in a very soft voice in his ear, “If one day, I’m gone… you…”

Chu Yinlong felt a sudden chill in his heart.

He grabbed Jiang Dao’s shoulders and yanked him away, his tone a little flustered: “What nonsense are you saying?”

Jiang Dao lowered his eyes and was silent for a moment, before suddenly raising the corners of his lips into a strange smile.

“…Yeah, it’s nonsense.” He exhaled a short breath and looked at Chu Yinlong. “I just want to try and see if I can get drunk. Unfortunately, no matter how much I drink, I don’t seem to be able to get drunk.”

Although he knew that Jiang Dao was trying to divert the topic, Chu Yinlong did not continue probing.

Jiang Dao has been avoiding his questions these days. When he asks too many questions, Jiang Dao will bite his lip and refuse to speak, which makes him feel very frustrated.

Chu Yinlong sighed, stretched out his hand and squeezed Jiang Dao’s face gently. “No matter if you are drunk or not, you can’t drink too much alcohol. It’s not good for your health.”

Jiang Dao smiled at him and nodded obediently.

When the wedding banquet ended, Chu Yinlong and Jiang Dao returned to their guest room in the cruise ship. Before they could clean up and take a bath, Jiang Dao dragged Chu Yinlong’s tie and pushed him onto the bed.

After an almost crazy indulgence, Jiang Dao hugged Chu Yinlong tightly and bit his shoulder hard.

Chu Yinlong snorted, but did not push Jiang Dao away.

It wasn’t until the warm wetness met sharp pain that he raised his hand to wrap Jiang Dao’s hair, and called out in a hoarse voice, “Xiao Dao…”

Jiang Dao kissed the blood droplet from Chu Yinlong’s wound and fell back into the quilt, looking at Chu Yinlong’s face with blurred eyes.

“Xiao Dao!” Chu Yinlong was startled. “Why are you crying? I hurt you?”

“…No.” Jiang Dao stopped Chu Yinlong from looking down, sniffed, and said with a smile. “I’m fine, it’s just… I just… I really like you…”

Although he smiled, more tears flowed, puddling onto the sheets before they could be wiped away.

Chu Yinlong didn’t ask any more questions.

He hugged and kissed Jiang Dao hard.

“Chu Yinlong,” Jiang Dao’s voice trembled a little. “…Come on, I still want it. You… don’t be so gentle, be a little harder, be a little rough, be a little bit fiercer to me, make me hurt… OK? ?”

After a long silence, Chu Yinlong responded in a low voice: “…Okay.”

He still didn’t ask.

According to Jiang Dao’s request, he embraced the person in his arms, and acted recklessly.

After Jiang Dao fell asleep tiredly, Chu Yinlong reached out and stroked the dull wound on his shoulder, slowly closed his eyes, and sighed.

Turning over, he looked at Jiang Dao’s cell phone beside the pillow. After hesitating for a long time, he finally reached out and picked it up.

“I’m sorry, I know I shouldn’t do this, I know it’s wrong.” Chu Yinlong kissed Jiang Dao’s forehead with pain in his eyes. “I’m sorry, but I’m really… worried about you.”

He brought Jiang Dao’s cellphone closer, hesitantly and tangled, and finally decided. “If you don’t change your password, I’ll take the sentence you said before, ‘you can look at my phone anytime’ as true?”

Jiang Dao was asleep. Frowning and shifting, but not awake.

Chu Yinlong took two deep breaths and opened the screen of Jiang Dao’s mobile phone.

Surprisingly, he didn’t know when but Jiang Dao removed the password protection on the device.

The screen lit up, and the standby screen unfolded, catching Chu Yinlong’s eyes.

There are not many things in Jiang Dao’s mobile phone, only the built-in software and necessary social apps.

Chu Yinlong didn’t rummage, but opened the list of recently used apps.

Strangely, Jiang Dao has been using a memo recently. It even surpassed WeChat and Weibo, and was at the top of the list.

A memo?

Chu Yinlong opened it suspiciously.

In the next second, his pupils shrank suddenly. His breathing suddenly stagnated, panic radiating out from his heart, causing his limbs and bones to hurt faintly.

There was only one item in the memo app, but it was—

Chu Yinlong looked at the text line by line on the screen, his fingers trembling uncontrollably.

“If one day, I really disappear, I know you will be sad, but don’t be sad for too long. You have your life and your dreams, so you must keep moving forward and complete them.”

“Although I can’t be like Little Gray Wolf who makes Xia Tian unable to forget him with his death, I still hope you can remember me. But I don’t want you to hold on forever, I don’t mind if you fall in love with someone else. If someone can stay with you, by your side, just let go and love them. Remember, whether I am with you or not, I want you to be happy all the time.”

“I don’t know if I will leave any trouble when I disappear, but I can only ask you to help deal with it. If it’s just a body, I’m sure you remember me saying I like the sea.”

“But if I become a complete stranger to you, or seem to have lost my memory, I can only trouble you to take care of the “me” left behind. Of course, if he’s too self-willed, you don’t need to coax him. If he needs spanking, just spank. I’ve trained this body well, and don’t want it ruined.”

“You can love him too, but make sure he won’t harm you.”

……

“I can’t bear Bullet. You must always be good to him. Remember, we are his parents, and no matter what happens to me, you are responsible for taking care of him.”

“Remember to hire someone who can cook dog food for Bullet. Never go to the kitchen by yourself!”

“Actually, I thought about marrying you.”

“But I’m too scared, I’m afraid I’ll leave this world too soon, and turn you from a handsome unmarried young man to a pitiful widowed man.”

“That’s too unfair to you.”

……

“You actually watched me type.”

“I wonder if you’ll peek at my phone when I sleep. I really don’t have much motivation at work, and have been in a trance lately. I know you’ve seen it, and are very worried. But there are some things I don’t know how to tell you.”

“I’d better cancel the password. Otherwise, if you forget my password, you won’t be able to read this even if I write to you.”

“If you really peeked at my phone earlier, remember, don’t ask anything.”

“If I haven’t disappeared after the wedding tomorrow, I will delete these things and agree to your marriage proposal.”

“If you’ve peeked, just pretend you haven’t!”

“Nothing! Don’t! Ask!”

Chu Yinlong gently put the phone back on Jiang Dao’s pillow.

He stretched out his arms to embrace the young man beside him, and hugged him tightly… He had never been so frightened in that moment, afraid that the next second he would lose his most important person.

“Xiao Dao…”

Chu Yinlong murmured in a low voice.

“…No matter where you come from, no matter who you are and what you have experienced, even if you… disappear… I will only recognize you as my lover in life.”

He was sleepless all night.

When the morning sun jumped out of the sea and sprinkled broken gold over dark blue, Jiang Dao slowly opened his eyes.

Chu Yinlong stared at him quietly.

“…What time is it?” Jiang Dao’s voice was slightly hoarse.

“8:26.” Chu Yinlong didn’t even look at his watch, yet he reported the time accurately. He even added a superfluous sentence, “The morning after the wedding.”

Then he saw Jiang Dao’s eyes seemed to reflect the rising sun, growing brighter, and flashing with a joy that could not be concealed.

“The next day!” Jiang Dao shouted.

“Yes, the next day.” Chu Yinlong emphasized again. “The wedding is already over, you…”

After a pause, he remembered what was written in the memo, and changed his question: “…you, are you willing to agree to my proposal now?”

Jiang Dao looked at him with a smile, his eyes filled with the sunrise outside the window.

“I am!”

A little bittersweet, but a very realistic end to any transmigration novel! Most of them never deal with the psychology of the novel ending.
