ABV Chapter 77.1

77.1

T/N: A huge thank you to my supporters, and particularly Lolilu and Shihane for helping reach the ko-fi goal. As a token of thanks, over the next 2 weeks I’ll be posting:

  • 14 releases of ABV (7 chapters)
  • 10 releases of SABL (est. 9-10 chapters)
  • 6 releases of IMG (I don’t have any stockpiled 😅)

Note that this is in lieu of the normal release schedule for these projects, and I’ll also be ignoring new ko-fis until the 2 weeks are wrapped up.

Thanks again!

Director Mu did not arrange any scenes for Chu Yinlong and Jiang Dao on April 15th since they might be needed to promote “Operation Red Owl”.

Chu Yinlong had just finished the video conference with Longqi Entertainment and was preparing to rest, when Jing Yu, escorted by his agent, came to Chu Yinlong’s room to apologize.

As soon as the doorbell was pressed, the door was opened. Jiang Dao leaned against the door frame with his arms folded, and said with a smile, “I didn’t expect you to care so much about us?”

Jing Yu was speechless.

Seeing that there was someone else behind him, Jiang Dao didn’t joke more, and welcomed them inside.

Chu Yinlong came out of the suite, and smiled at Jing Yu. “Sit down, don’t be nervous. I saw the hot search, it’s not a big deal.”

The agent who brought Jing Yu to apologize to Chu Yinlong and Jiang Dao, was relieved when neither of them seemed to care much about it, nor did they ask PR to withdraw the hot search.

Chu Yinlong said: “It just so happened that Xiao Jing also participated in “Operation Red Owl”. I was discussing how to promote the movie just now. Tonight, the lead actors will release a Vlog jointly promoting it on Weibo. At that time, if a netizen mentions CP under his Weibo, you can also reply briefly and treat it as a joke. We will cooperate with you, so don’t worry too much.”

To put it bluntly, if their CP really became popular, there will inevitably be questions about Jiang Dao hugging his thighs and him sleeping around. But with the upcoming premiere of “Operation Red Owl”, Jiang Dao’s strength will also be recognized by the rational public, and some CP popularity is not a bad thing.

Anyway, this CP is real anyway.

If it wasn’t for the fear that taking too big a step would lead to undesirable consequences, and fearing that Jiang Dao would be subject to cyber violence again, Chu Yinlong even wanted to announce his relationship with Jiang Dao to save them from having to be careful and secretive in everything they did.

After Jing Yu was taken away by the agent, Jiang Dao flipped through the hot search of #JingYu Is A ChuYinlong JiangDao CP fan#, and couldn’t stop laughing.

“He actually fought against LongDao CP fans, haha, so powerful.” Jiang Dao was amazed. “I remember the first time I saw him, he was a good boy who didn’t pay much attention to online public opinion. It is so easy to be addicted?”

Chu Yinlong said: “He was just too careless and revealed his handwriting. Of the actors I know, there are many females who like  making CP, but mostly play with paper people. There are also some who use trumpets to argue with netizens, quarreling overnight, and affecting filming the next day.”

“It’s also quite interesting.” Jiang Dao smiled as he flipped through the contents of the LongDao CP blog. “Seeing this bring people happiness, I also feel a sense of accomplishment.”

Chu Yinlong looked at him and asked, “Do you not hate the entertainment industry so much?”

Jiang Dao raised his face and replied with a smile: “Well, it’s not so much hate. The main thing is…you’re here, I like you, so I don’t think I hate it here.”

Chu Yinlong looked into Jiang Dao’s eyes and said nothing.

Jiang Dao continued: “I wanted to leave at first because I was tired of fighting. But now, with you here, let alone fighting, asking me to go to the battlefield or something… uh!”

He kissed him for a long time.

Finally Chu Yinlong had to hold down Jiang Dao’s hand that wasn’t up to anything good with a helpless smile. “Don’t make trouble, it’s daytime… And I just contacted the makeup team, who’ll be over soon to help with makeup and hair, shoot a promotional Vlog… Be patient, okay.”

Jiang Dao honestly retracted his hand, faking dissatisfaction. “I didn’t think about it until you kissed me first.”

Chu Yinlong gave in unprincipledly: “Yes, it’s my fault.”

Ten minutes later, the makeup team arrived to give Jiang Dao and Chu Yinlong simple everyday looks.

The publicity side also quickly sent a short script, and the two recorded a video each according to the script, and handed it to the assistant to edit it into a Vlog.

After the Vlog was filmed, Chu Yinlong was busy answering phones.

After having lunch together, Chu Yinlong then had a video conference to discuss post-production of “Operation Red Owl” – as the chief producer, he couldn’t not pay attention. With how busy filming is, it’s rare to have a day off, but it just so happened to coincide with this matter.

Jiang Dao sat quietly in the armchair, watching Chu Yinlong, who was working hard behind the desk, and suddenly understood why people say “serious men are the most handsome”.

Even if this is not a studio or a sports field, and Chu Yinlong has restrained his strong personality and physical charm, he’s still so dazzling that people can’t take their eyes off him.

It wasn’t until the sky outside the window turned dark that Chu Yinlong finally ended the video conference and turned off the computer. He rubbed his neck tiredly and looked at Jiang Dao: “Sorry, are you bored?”

Jiang Dao got up and walked behind Chu Yinlong, squeezing his shoulders with a smile. “No. You look so good when you work.”

After saying that, he hugged Chu Yinlong from behind, bent down and kissed the man’s cheek, hands beginning to act dishonest again.

“Already hot?” Chu Yinlong raised his eyebrows. “You don’t plan to eat dinner?”

Jiang Dao laughed: “Since there’s no filming today, I haven’t exercised enough, and lunch still isn’t digested yet! I need to have some exercise first, otherwise dinner won’t taste good.”

Chu Yinlong tutted lightly, grabbed Jiang Dao’s bad hand, dragged him over to the desk, and whispered in Jiang Dao’s ear, “…Not learning anything good.”

At eight o’clock that night, the important players of “Operation Red Owl” released promotional Vlogs, @-mentioning the official blog of “Operation Red Owl” to hype up the movie’s launch.

Sure enough, under the videos of Chu Yinlong, Jiang Dao, and Jing Yu, a bunch of netizens were asking about Jing Yu’s CP for fun.

Jing Yu picked out a comment with a playful tone and replied with a series of crying expressions.

At the same time, Jiang Dao also interacted with Weibo fans for the first time–

“Is the relationship between Xiao Dao and Xiao Jing Yu1Jing Yu is a homophone for whale, but I retranslated it back to his name very good? He even dared lick you and Chu Yingdi’s CP hahahahaha!”

“Blogger Reply: He has been punished to buy me a week’s worth of milk tea [smart]”

Chu Yinlong similarly picked a fan who asked about CP, with the following reply: “He has been fined to not drink milk tea for a week.”

Netizens: …

Ah, what?

Does this mean that the two of you are angry and don’t admit this CP? Or should it be said that the two of you are worthy of being a CP, and even the punishment is a serial event?

The replies from Jing Yu, Jiang Dao, and Chu Yinlong to the fans were immediately screenshotted and sent to LongDao, and the CP fans were happy.

“Jing Yu is still the most miserable. He can only watch Xiao Dao drink milk tea for a week, while having to pay for it himself, hahahahaha!”

“Reply: It’s so miserable that I want to be his fan, so cute [covers face]”

“Reply: Is that “LongdaoLifetimePush” account okay? Will it be canceled by his agent? Although it’s very sad to say, I’m sorry I can’t stop laughing hahahaha. I’m probably a fake Xiao Jing Yu fan hahahaha!”

“Didn’t that “LongdaoLifetimePush” account even send me the original photoshopped LongDao wedding photo? Ahhhh, I’m going crazy with laughter! What kind of luck is this hahahaha! “

“Reply: Sister, I have a friend who wants to see your private messages [doge]”

“Reply: I envy my sister who privately messaged Xiao Jing Yu [lemon]”

“Although you deleted the comment, I know you have squatted. [smirk] Besides the original photo you sent in the lottery, I have privately messaged both numbers. Remember to read it [smirk][smirk] @LongDaoLifetimePush @JingYu”

“Reply: Hahaha, what’s wrong with madam. [laughing]”

“Reply: The only consolation Xiao Jing Yu has in this week he can’t drink milk tea [doge]”

And this time the incident of consuming CP and “serial punishment” spread to Chu Yinlong’s fan base, and everyone was immediately tangled.

“Sisters, it’s weird…”

“I also think it’s weird.”

“Father Long always refuted those previous scandals cleanly, but this time he isn’t angry at such a blatant licking of CP?”

“This matter – either the three of them have a really good relationship from filming, and are treating it as a joke… or Father Long really indulges Jiang Dao.”

“Actually, Father Long does indulge Jiang Dao, there were some clues in their previous interactions…”

“I don’t know why, I’m a little uncomfortable [crying]”

“Sister calm down, think about Brother Long’s character. If he really indulges Jiang Dao, it will definitely not be those unspoken rules. He is almost thirty and hasn’t been in love yet. If Jiang Dao really is his true love, we should bless him!”

“Woo woo woo hug [cry] [cry]”

Hotel bathroom.

Jiang Dao leaned against Chu Yinlong’s arms and let the other party help him wash his hair.

“So, you did it on purpose this time?” Jiang Dao wiped the water droplets off his face and looked up at Chu Yinlong.

Chu Yinlong kissed Jiang Dao’s cheek and replied: “The subject matter of “Dawn City” is relatively taboo, and when it is announced, there will be even more speculation about our relationship. I’m afraid some fans may not be able to accept it readily, so I just gave them an early vaccination. If they really can’t accept it, it’s better to get rid of those fans sooner.”

Jiang Dao smiled: “Treating your fans like this, are you not afraid that they’ll retreat?”

After a moment of silence, Chu Yinlong replied: “I want to walk my own path. I am lucky to have their company and encouragement, and feel grateful and touched by it. But I will not be morally kidnapped by these feelings to walk a road I don’t want to take.”

Is it just me or are those netizens becoming a little annoying (to read/translate)?
