IWHBDR Chapter 33

Rong Shu’s few words in class provided abundant material for the Federation No. 1 Middle School forum.

From “Will the school heartthrob choose MJY or SHX? Come and place your bets…” to “No need to bet anymore, it can only be SHX. The school heartthrob himself said he wants to go back to the dorm to say sweet things, awsl1It’s used to express extreme emotions, often related to being overwhelmed by something cute or heartwarming, or even to indicate something incredibly funny or dramatic. Don’t ask why the title is so long…” the posts were less than three minutes apart.

This was probably the closest Ma Jinyan had been to Rong Shu.

In the following days, whether it was because Ma Jinyan had his mouth blessed or not, students from other schools started transferring to Federation No. 1 Middle School one after another. Every grade had new students coming in, but Class 3 of the second year did not receive any new students. The school likely also took into account Old Zhang’s situation, with one local tyrant from the North Campus needing all of his attention.

No additional pressure was added.

Ma Jinyan hadn’t come to find him in these past few days. Rong Shu didn’t know if he had taken Shen Huaixiu’s warning seriously or if he had finally realized that he wouldn’t get a response from Rong Shu and had simply given up.

Regardless of the reason, Rong Shu was fine as long as he didn’t appear in front of him and cause trouble.

However, that afternoon, Ma Jinyan approached Rong Shu, who was out shopping with Chen Jing.

Ignoring whether Rong Shu wanted to hear him or not, he said, “Xu Shu, the Mu family’s Mu Ye is coming.”

There was a hint of gloating in his tone, clearly hoping to see some emotional reaction from Rong Shu.

Rong Shu, however, remained unmoved, not even lifting his eyelids: “I don’t know him.”

Ma Jinyan felt a pang of disbelief. He didn’t believe Rong Shu’s words. The Mu family was different from the Ma family; they were a true upper-class family. The Mu family’s beast form was a white wolf, and Mu Ye was the most outstanding cub of his generation. So he didn’t believe that the Rong family wouldn’t inform Rong Shu about such matters once he came of age.

“He’s coming here with a purpose that you should be clear about. But unlike me, he’s a mad wolf who won’t listen to others…”

“Oh, do you have something else to say?” Rong Shu’s expression clearly conveyed, “Have you finished talking? If so, get lost.”

Ma Jinyan felt his lungs ache with frustration, but he had to suppress his displeasure and asked, “Are you going hiking this weekend?”

Rong Shu seemed to finally take interest in the topic, a smile curving at the corners of his lips: “Of course, why wouldn’t I? It’s a rare chance to build some rapport.”

With that, Rong Shu bypassed him and left with Chen Jing.

Back in the classroom, Chen Jing, looking puzzled, said: “Didn’t you say you had something to do this weekend and wouldn’t go hiking?”

Rong Shu laughed and patted his head: “You believed the lie, too.”

“Then who is Mu Ye and why did Ma Jinyan specifically come over to talk to you about this?” Chen Jing was curious about Ma Jinyan’s visit and couldn’t help but ask.

Rong Shu withdrew his hand, the cat ears on his head twitching slightly, and said helplessly: “The downside of being good-looking is having too many admirers. It’s a struggle!”

Chen Jing: “…”

He realized he shouldn’t have asked.

Because of the weekend’s spring outing, many people were in high spirits throughout the week.

Finally, when the weekend arrived, Rong Shu got up early and pulled out his phone from under the pillow to call Zhang Zhicheng.

After Shen Huaixiu finished washing up and came out of the bathroom, he heard the young man lying on the bed weakly speaking into the phone: “Teacher, I had a stomach upset yesterday and have been having diarrhea. I won’t be able to go on the spring outing today. Yes, I know, I’ll go to the hospital shortly. My roommate said he would accompany me. Yes, my roommate is Shen Huaixiu, so can you allow him to come with me? Thank you, teacher, goodbye.”

After hanging up, Rong Shu sat up from the bed and met Shen Huaixiu’s eyes, immediately smiling: “The fake excuse worked. Now it’s time for you to keep your promise.”

Shen Huaixiu teased: “Is your stomach not hurting anymore?”

Rong Shu was momentarily stunned, then hugged his stomach, frowning and groaning: “It’s not just a stomach ache. I’m pregnant with your baby, so you need to take responsibility!”

As he finished speaking, he didn’t forget to wink at Shen Huaixiu, whose expression had stiffened.

Shen Huaixiu, dumbfounded and amused, shook his head helplessly: “You really dare to say anything.”

Rong Shu nonchalantly got up from the bed and gave Shen Huaixiu a light smile: “Feel free to imagine it.”

Shen Huaixiu’s gaze darkened as he looked at him: “Looks like we need to think of names soon.”

Rong Shu felt his cheeks warm up: “Hmm, this difficult task is left to you.”

After speaking, he seemed afraid that Shen Huaixiu might say something else and hurriedly dashed into the bathroom.

Shen Huaixiu, however, looked down with a soft smile, thinking that if they really had a baby, it would surely be as adorable as Rong Shu.

He couldn’t suppress his excitement.

As Rong Shu came out of the dorm room, he opened his phone: “We’ll take the 666 bus from the school gate. It goes directly to the amusement park entrance. If we go at this time, we’ll be able to catch the roller coaster first. If we’re lucky, we might even get the front row!”

Shen Huaixiu had no objections and it was clear that Rong Shu had meticulously planned this outing.

He just wondered how long the planning had taken.

Once they got on the bus, Rong Shu and Shen Huaixiu walked to the last row. Due to the weekend, there weren’t many people on the bus. After Rong Shu sat down by the window, he looked up and met the bright eyes of a child, smiling slightly.

The little one, feeling shy, pressed his lips together and softly said, “Brother, you’re so beautiful. Are you an omega?”

Rong Shu didn’t expect the child to be so sweet-talking. He immediately smiled, leaning in and nodding: “Yes, being good-looking usually means you’re an omega. You’re also very pretty. You must be an omega too, right?”

The child giggled at Rong Shu’s words and then, staring at his cat ears with anticipation, said, “Brother, you’re so smart. Can I touch your cat ears? They’re so cute!”

Rong Shu shook his cat ears in response: “Sure, but my cat ears are only for people I like. I’ll let you touch them.”

When the soft little hands touched his ears, it tickled a bit, making Rong Shu shiver slightly. His eyes were full of gentle smiles, and Shen Huaixiu, sitting next to him, felt his heart ripple with waves of affection.

The little one, understanding well, only touched the cat ears once before withdrawing his hand. He turned to look at Shen Huaixiu: “Is Big Brother someone you like? Big brother, the scales on your face are so cool. My papa is also super cool. Are you an omega?”

The young man holding him smiled and patted his little head: “You talk so much. Don’t disturb the two brothers.”

He then gave an apologetic glance at Rong Shu and Shen Huaixiu.

The little one covered his mouth, leaned on the young man’s shoulder, and playfully winked at Rong Shu before snuggling back into his papa’s arms.

After the child and his papa got off at the previous stop, Rong Shu couldn’t help but say, “The little one is quite cute.”

He then met Shen Huaixiu’s dark eyes and felt a pang in his heart: “What do you mean by looking at me like that?”

“Is it cuter than our baby?”

Even though Rong Shu knew Shen Huaixiu was teasing him about this morning, he blushed. It was supposed to be a playful remark he made to tease Shen Huaixiu, but now he felt shy, so he tried to remain calm and nodded: “Of course, who do you think gave birth to it?”

“Omega?”

Shen Huaixiu suddenly raised an eyebrow, focusing on that single word.

Rong Shu’s heart skipped a beat: “Do you think I’m not good-looking?”

Shen Huaixiu looked at the boy whose cat ears perked up at the question, and in a good mood, nodded: “Yes, you’re beautiful.”

Rong Shu didn’t expect him to answer and couldn’t help but feel his cheeks flush, turning to look out the window, while his cat ears happily wiggled back and forth.

After getting off the bus, Rong Shu looked at the people already in line to scan tickets and immediately said, “I’ll go exchange the tickets.”

Shen Huaixiu followed him: “I’ll come with you.”

At the ticket exchange window, Rong Shu handed over the QR code. Just as he was about to make the payment, Shen Huaixiu took out his phone: “Scan mine.”

Rong Shu looked up at him: “Are you treating me today?”

Shen Huaixiu nodded: “Why not?”

Rong Shu’s eyes curved into a smile. He put his phone back into his pocket, grinning like a little fox that had just tasted honey: “Then I’ll gladly accept.”

The two of them were lucky; when they entered, the roller coaster had just opened and there weren’t many people waiting. Rong Shu tugged at Shen Huaixiu’s sleeve and asked, “Are you afraid of heights?”

Shen Huaixiu shook his head. Rong Shu, smiling, patted his shoulder: “It’s okay if you’re scared. You can hold onto me.”

Shen Huaixiu’s lips curved into a smile: “I won’t be polite.”

As soon as the gate opened, Rong Shu quickly pulled Shen Huaixiu to the front row. The roller coaster was most thrilling from the first row, and luckily, not many in their group had the same idea, or it would have been hard to get the seats.

Shen Huaixiu looked at the excited boy and asked, “Do you like such thrilling rides?”

“Isn’t that what you come to an amusement park for? Get ready, it’s starting. Want to hold hands?” Rong Shu lifted his hand and looked at Shen Huaixiu expectantly.

Shen Huaixiu saw the boy’s slender, fair hand extended towards him, with distinct joints. Without hesitation, he reached out and clasped Rong Shu’s hand. It was warm and soft.

Shen Huaixiu’s hand was much warmer than his own, large and comforting, almost enveloping Rong Shu’s hand completely. Rong Shu subtly bit his lip; even before the ride had started, his heart was already racing with excitement.

With a “rumble”, the roller coaster began.

Shen Huaixiu tightly held the boy’s hand, listening to the screams around them. Although this kind of game wasn’t particularly appealing to him, it had somehow become interesting.

After just a few minutes, when they got off, Rong Shu’s eyes were slightly red and his bright eyes were filled with undeniable excitement. He pulled Shen Huaixiu’s hand: “That was so thrilling! Let’s go again, okay?”

Seeing the boy’s pleading eyes and the hand that had been shaking, Shen Huaixiu nodded: “Alright.”

There was no reason to refuse, nor did he want to.

Satisfied with the answer, Rong Shu, carrying a faint scent of roses, threw himself into Shen Huaixiu’s arms. Shen Huaixiu instinctively wrapped his arms around Rong Shu’s waist and chuckled: “Are you this happy?”

“Shen Huaixiu, how can you be so wonderful!”

It made me like you even more.
