After breakfast, Shen Huaixiu took Rong Shu to the ranch. As soon as Atuo saw them coming, it abandoned the carrot it was chewing and trotted over to greet them.
Rong Shu raised his hand. Atuo immediately brought its head over for a pet, being extremely obedient.
They followed a small path uphill, through a grove of trees, until the view gradually opened up. Rong Shu was astonished when he saw a group of “Atuos” running and jumping in the open field of the ranch—some black, some white.
“So many?”
“Yeah, quite a few of them are Atuo’s offspring,” Shen Huaixiu said.
Hearing this, Rong Shu looked at Atuo with newfound admiration.
When Atuo saw its companions, it bleated and ran toward the group of alpacas.
Not far from the alpaca herd was a clear stream. As they passed by, a line of fluffy, yellow ducklings floated on the water, waddling their tails and quacking when they noticed the approaching figures.
“You’ve got quite a variety of animals here.”
“These ducks are probably wild ones from the area,” Shen Huaixiu explained as he affectionately rubbed Rong Shu’s cat ears. “The stables are over there. Let’s go horseback riding.”
“But I didn’t bring any riding clothes.”
“I already had Uncle Cheng prepare them.”
“Oh my, you planned this all along!” Rong Shu grinned, leaning in to hug him, smiling like a little fox that had just eaten honey.
Shen Huaixiu led Rong Shu over. They saw a black horse galloping towards them from a distance, neighing as it came closer.
“That’s Zhui Feng1Chasing Wind.”
“Your horse?”
“Yes.”
As Shen Huaixiu finished speaking, the black horse named Zhui Feng stopped by the fence, stretching its neck to nuzzle him. Shen Huaixiu raised his hand and patted the horse’s head.
“Did you raise Zhui Feng from a young age too?”
“Yes, but I didn’t raise him for long. Afterward, Uncle Cheng took care of him since I didn’t have the time.”
“And he’s still so attached to you?” Rong Shu was skeptical.
Seeing that Rong Shu was once again getting jealous, this time over the horse, Shen Huaixiu smiled and said, “Come here, I’ve got a gift for you.”
“What kind of gift? It better not be another set of practice exams! I’m seriously done with those.”
All he wanted was to have a sweet relationship. Why did his boyfriend always want him to study?
“Don’t worry. There won’t be any new ones until you finish the ones you have.”
“Really?” Rong Shu was quite skeptical—after all, Shen Huaixiu had a history of this.
“Really.”
Shen Huaixiu led him into the stables, where a staff member approached. “Young Master, everything is ready. Shall we proceed now?”
“Thank you,” Shen Huaixiu said as he pulled Rong Shu forward.
When they stopped, Rong Shu saw a large head poking out from the stable—it was a red chestnut-colored horse with a glossy coat. The horse snorted as it noticed them approaching.
“Do you like it? It doesn’t have a name yet.” Shen Huaixiu reached out and patted the horse’s head, glancing at Rong Shu.
Rong Shu understood—this must be the gift Shen Huaixiu had mentioned.
“Is it for me?”
“Yes, it’s for you.”
Rong Shu smiled but tried to suppress it, only for it to rise again. Teasingly, he asked, “What’s with pairing a black horse and a red one? What are you planning?”
“Why not make them a couple? Is that a problem?”
“No problem at all. If yours is called Zhui Feng, then mine will be called Zhu Ying2Shadow Chaser.”
“Suit yourself,” Shen Huaixiu replied, though he was secretly delighted by the name. Zhui Feng and Zhu Ying—it was a perfect match. “Open the gate.”
The horse named Zhu Ying was led out and they fitted the harness.
As they headed towards the changing room, Rong Shu asked, “How did Uncle Cheng know my size?”
Shen Huaixiu could easily read the implication behind his question. “I told him.”
Rong Shu immediately pouted. “Some people look all serious on the outside, but behind the scenes, tsk tsk…”
As he trailed off, Rong Shu started laughing. “Am I right or what?”
Shen Huaixiu, thoroughly amused by his antics, gave in. “You’re right.”
“Since you admit it, I forgive you for making me wear pants that one time.”
With that, Rong Shu grabbed his clothes and went inside to change.
When he came out again, Shen Huaixiu was already waiting outside.
Zhui Feng had somehow wandered over and was nuzzling up to Zhu Ying. It was obvious that the two horses were already familiar with each other, as they nudged and played, clearly enjoying each other’s company.
Rong Shu walked over and patted Zhu Ying’s head. Seeing the horse didn’t resist, he confidently mounted it. “How about a run?”
Shen Huaixiu, already seated on Zhui Feng, said, “Alright, just be careful.”
But before his words even fully landed, Rong Shu had already taken off, galloping into the distance with Zhu Ying.
The cool wind whistled past his ears.
It had been a long time since Rong Shu had let loose like this. Zhu Ying was well-trained and obedient.
Shen Huaixiu followed not too far behind, keeping an eye on him from a safe distance. After a while, Rong Shu slowed down, holding the reins as he said, “Let’s rest for a bit. I’m getting tired.”
“Okay.” Shen Huaixiu jumped off the horse and took the reins for him.
Rong Shu sat on the horse, watching the Alpha leading the horse for him, unable to stop the corners of his lips from curling up.
After walking for a while, Rong Shu suddenly reached out to Shen Huaixiu. “Come up, let’s take another run.”
Shen Huaixiu turned back and glanced at the outstretched hand. Without hesitation and without refusal, he grabbed it and flipped onto the horse, landing behind Rong Shu. He wrapped one arm around Rong Shu’s waist, holding the reins with the other, and with a slight squeeze of his legs, Zhu Ying received the command and immediately began to run forward.
Zhui Feng, who had been grazing nearby, paused for a moment, then neighed and chased after them.
“Haha!” Rong Shu laughed as he curled up in Shen Huaixiu’s arms, spreading his hands wide. The wind slipped through his fingers, cool and refreshing.
After running all morning, Rong Shu and Shen Huaixiu returned from the ranch, and lunch was already prepared.
“What activities do we have planned for the afternoon?” Rong Shu asked, confident that Shen Huaixiu wouldn’t let the day pass without more surprises.
“After a nap, we’ll go to the hot springs.”
“And tonight?” Rong Shu asked, with a hint of calculation in his tone.
“I’ll tell you when the evening comes.”
Rong Shu, not getting the answer he wanted from Shen Huaixiu, pouted and stood up. “I’m done eating. I’m heading upstairs.”
“Alright, I’ll join you soon.”
“Don’t keep me waiting too long.”
Back in the room, Rong Shu took a shower and lay on the bed. After playing all morning, he was a bit tired. Not long after lying down, he drifted off into a drowsy sleep.
Half-asleep, he felt someone approach. Recognizing the familiar presence, he instinctively turned and snuggled closer, falling back into a deep sleep without any hesitation.
When he woke up, Shen Huaixiu was looking at the time on his phone, clearly having just woken up as well. “What time is it?”
His voice was a bit hoarse. Shen Huaixiu handed him the water from the table. “Have some water. It’s still early, you can sleep a little longer.”
“I’m done sleeping. Didn’t you say we were going to the hot springs?” Rong Shu sat up, opened the water, and took a sip, feeling his dry throat relax.
Shen Huaixiu got out of bed. “Let’s go.”
Rong Shu immediately got up from bed. “Can I just wear this?” he asked, gesturing to the oversized T-shirt and sleep pants, which made him look even slimmer.
Shen Huaixiu extended his hand toward him. “It’s fine.”
Rong Shu walked over, grabbing his hand. “Is it a naked soak or…?”
“There are clothes.”
Hearing those three words, Rong Shu let out an exaggerated sigh, clearly feeling disappointed. Shen Huaixiu flicked one of his cat ears and said, “Don’t get wild!”
“Why are you so afraid of me being wild, Shen Huaixiu? Are you worried that you can’t control yourself? You don’t need to hold back, I’m fine with anything, as long as it’s with you. I’m willing to learn any posi—” Rong Shu fearlessly clung to his clothes, leaning into his chest, his beautiful peach blossom eyes sparkling as he flirted with him.
Shen Huaixiu wrapped his arm around Rong Shu’s waist, firmly pinning him against the wall. With one hand braced beside his face, he tilted his head and kissed him.
This time, the kiss was far more intense than usual, even carrying a hint of punishment.
Clearly, even the calmest Alpha couldn’t withstand such provocation from Rong Shu.
Rong Shu obediently submitted to the Alpha’s dominance, as if, just as he said, he didn’t care what happened as long as Shen Huaixiu desired it.
After the kiss ended, Rong Shu’s face flushed red, his breath unsteady as he looked at Shen Huaixiu. Suddenly, Shen Huaixiu raised a hand to cover his eyes. “Don’t look at me like that!”
“I can smell your pheromones, Shen Huaixiu. You can mark me. You don’t need to hold back.”
The Omega obediently let his eyes be covered, but his words were still laced with teasing.
Shen Huaixiu leaned in and bit his lower lip softly. “Be quiet.”
As he slowly removed his hand, Rong Shu glared at him, angrily tugging at Shen Huaixiu’s clothes and leaning in to bite his shoulder, as if in revenge. He had already said it was fine, yet Shen Huaixiu was still holding back.
He was furious.
Shen Huaixiu held him, enduring the little omega’s “punishment”. When Rong Shu left a faint bite mark on his shoulder, he smiled and said, “Let’s go. We still need to soak in the hot spring.”
“You still want to soak in the hot spring? Aren’t you afraid I’ll do all sorts of things to you in there?”
“If that’s what you want, I won’t resist.”
Shen Huaixiu playfully winked at him, and Rong Shu’s face turned bright red. No matter what he said, he was still an Omega and his bold words were just for show. When it came to actually doing something to Shen Huaixiu, he didn’t have the courage.
But still, he had to keep up appearances. “Don’t think I won’t dare!”
Shen Huaixiu gently cupped his face and kissed him softly. “Rong Shu, for me, right now isn’t the best time. But when the time comes, even if you don’t give it to me, I’ll take it myself.”
“When will that time come?”
“Soon.”
“Alright, I’ll trust you for now, but don’t make me wait too long.”
“I won’t.”
The large open-air hot spring was surrounded by mist, giving it a magical, ethereal atmosphere.
After changing, Rong Shu went over to grab a drink. When he saw the rice wine, he reached out to take it, but Shen Huaixiu stopped him. “No alcohol.”
“Just a little, it’s only rice wine, it won’t hurt.”
“No.”
“Why not?”
Shen Huaixiu looked at him without saying a word but he wouldn’t let go of his hand.
Rong Shu instantly understood. He put the rice wine back and picked up a bottle of juice. “Is this okay? If tonight’s activities aren’t thrilling enough, you’ll be in trouble!”
Shen Huaixiu smiled, pulling him into his embrace. “Don’t worry, I’ll make it unforgettable and exhilarating for you.”
“You’re not really proposing, are you?”
“Guess.”
Rong Shu didn’t say anything, just looked at him with eager eyes full of expectation.
Shen Huaixiu reached up to ruffle his hair. “You don’t need to think about anything; just leave it to me.”
He was clearly such a cold person, yet when it came to doing things, he was so gentle.
Unable to hold back, Rong Shu cupped his face and planted a kiss on his cheek. “Then how about a fruity soak instead!”
