ARIWLBBC Chapter 46

Big Cat Hug

After identifying the accomplice in the video, Gugu sat on Big Cat’s leg, looking proud and confident, as if he were a genius teenage assistant helping law enforcement solve a case.

Lie Beishuang held the teenager’s waist with one hand, his gaze falling on the tip of Bo Ge’s nose.

“I finished watching the video,” Gugu tilted his head back, coincidentally meeting the man’s gaze. Seeing the familiar handsome face, the youth smiled brightly, with a starlight in his eyes that was dazzling.

The golden-red eyes dimmed slightly as Lie Beishuang tilted his head down slightly. The onlookers widened their eyes, several inspectors instinctively shifting to block the view.

“Hurry!” Amber called out, quickly standing on Slime’s body, witnessing the scene before them.

The rumored aloof and bloody man lowered his head, lips curling slightly, like a pure black orchid swaying gently on a branch, nodding slightly as the wind blew past. With a faint fragrance, a gentle kiss landed on the youth’s forehead. Where the petals touched, it was gentle and soft, yet carried a deadly allure.

The youth looked up, his eyes seeming to hold a spring of water reflecting the Milky Way, shining in the night, his smile sweeter than the spring water, pure and untainted.

Amber’s leg slowly sank into Slime, her entire being frowning deeply, full of bitterness and resentment.

“Did he kiss?” Sasha’s eyes sparkled with curiosity.

“He kissed the forehead,” Amber took a step, pulling out of Slime.

“What should we do?” Slime wobbled his body, evening out the depression. “Gugu is the cutest human I’ve ever seen. It’s obvious the Vice-Stability Officer has taken a liking to Gugu!”

“Could it be that he wants to abolish the marriage matching system because he wants to freely pursue love?” Amber pondered, “By the way, didn’t he promise to present the Blue Book within a month, detailing the abolition or modification of the current marriage matching system? It’s been a while and we still haven’t seen it.”

“Ah, wait.” Slime suddenly lit up, “I just received a notice, the squadron has been forcibly disbanded! I’m free now!”

“Disbanded…” Amber was taken aback, glancing at the man and the youth blocked by inspectors, then smiled bitterly, “This is the best outcome.”

“It’s okay, Vice-Captain,” Sasha comforted Amber, “It’s good that the squadron is gone. You’ve completely cut ties with that scum. But Vice-Captain, now you’re rich, you can totally build a better squadron. I’ll follow you.”

“I won’t rebuild a squadron,” Amber smiled tiredly, “I’ve invested too much energy into the squadron, neglecting my friends and my life. Your abilities are not weak, you can join better squadrons, participate in competitions, and various activities. I’ve spent too much time on him, if the matching system isn’t abolished, I’ll participate in the match, I need to think about my future.”

For some reason, Amber looked towards the direction of the youth, couldn’t help but smile, “Speaking of which, the first time I matched, I actually matched with a cub from the Furu Tribe.”

“Furu Tribe?” Sasha summoned a hologram, quickly swiping on the screen, “A branch of the Ancient Titan Tribe, a second-level rare species alliance?”

“Yes, the Furu Tribe develops slowly, and at eighteen, they’re only waist-high to me.” Amber shook her head at the memory, “I talked to him via voice communication at the time, his voice sounded okay, so I arranged to meet at an intelligent restaurant in the real world. Only when we met did I realize he was just a cub, and he even tricked me into buying a children’s meal.”

“So, when I saw the matching system was being abolished back then, I thought it was good, but now…” Amber squinted at the man standing up, through the gap, she could see the man directly lifting the youth into his arms, and the youth sitting on the man’s arm, looking surprisingly cheerful?!

Marriage matching failure 136 times meant this old man was at the bottom of the marriage matching chain. Yet now, he was using his position to entice such a cute, caring, and inexperienced rare human. It was simply outrageous!

The matching system should continue to be implemented, so that this scheming old man continued to be stuck at the bottom of the pit.

“Which senator supports the matching system?” Amber firmly looked at Sasha, “I’m going to @ him today and encourage him to uphold the marriage matching system!”

Sitting joyfully on Big Cat’s arm, Bo Ge no longer needed to strain his neck to look up at Big Cat. In Gugu’s eyes, Lie Beishuang was a giant, and Big Cat had successfully inherited his father’s advantages. Looking up at Big Cat was hurting his neck.

But sitting on Big Cat’s arm, Gugu could be a little taller than Big Cat! He could even see the top of Big Cat’s head!

This was simply the best experience ever!

“Chief, here…” The inspector tried to keep his tone steady, not looking at the scene opposite, “This requires your approval.”

“Mm.”

Everyone stared at the young man being held in the man’s arms, wanting to take a souvenir photo but being stopped by the inspectors.

“Does the Vice-Stability Officer also want to be friends with Gugu?” Eleven asked, pressing the spot on his thigh where he was bitten by a hyena, asking the inspector, “Does the Vice-Stability Officer see Gugu as a human cub?”

“I’m sorry,” the inspector said expressionlessly, “No comment.”

“Making friends with humans, the first step should be to bathe.” The red-haired mongoose said seriously, “Shouldn’t you remind your boss of that?”

The inspector silently took out a bottle of spray, turning his back with one hand and shaking the spray with the other, spraying the white mist onto the mongoose’s wound, forming a protective film.

“Mimi,” Bo Ge whispered to Big Cat’s ear, “Thank you for coming to rescue me.”

“No need to thank me,” Lie Beishuang turned his head slightly, lowering his voice as well, his eyes gentle, “I’m your prospective spouse, your affairs are my affairs.”

“Actually, I wasn’t completely suppressed at the time,” Gugu pursed his lips, trying to salvage his image, “I was waiting for my skill cooldown, I could have dodged.”

“Because I injured him with my skills before, he became wary of me. Being suppressed by him was just me showing weakness. Once he relaxes his guard, I’ll use my skills again, along with physical attacks, to poke his eyes hard.”

“Mm.” Big Cat’s gaze remained gentle.

“Did I interrupt you from doing something important?” Bo Ge lowered his head, uncomfortably fidgeting with his fingers.

“No.” Big Cat tried his best to ignore the meeting that was paused halfway through.

“Really?” Bo Ge looked at Big Cat’s expression, a bit incredulous.

“In fact, long-lasting meetings tend to make participants lose focus. Taking a proper break is a very good choice.”

“Chief, this is Ye Heng’s testimony.” The inspector felt a bit reluctant to interrupt the two, but still braced himself to slide up the page.

Lie Beishuang quickly scanned through the page, his expression changing slightly.

“What’s wrong?” Bo Ge noticed something amiss.

“The news leaked quickly.” Lie Beishuang’s expression remained calm. He lowered Gugu to the ground, assuming a standard squatting position in front of him, and began tidying Gugu’s clothes. “I’m sorry I can’t continue to accompany you. The matters here will be handled by the inspector. If you have any questions, you can ask him. I need to continue the meeting.”

“No problem.” Bo Ge gestured, feeling pleasantly surprised that Big Cat came personally.

Lie Beishuang disappeared from the spot, instantly easing the atmosphere in the room. Many people sighed in relief.

“Gugu, come here.” Amber waved to the youth.

“Amber sister.” Bo Ge walked towards Amber, looking happy. “Did you see just now? He’s not scary at all, he has a very good personality, very gentle, and he even hugged me.”

“Poor kid.” Slime couldn’t help but sigh.

Hearing the word “gentle,” the surrounding inspectors struggled to hold back rolling their eyes.

“He might see you as a frightened human cub.” Eleven approached, inspecting Bo Ge from top to bottom. “We helped you out with the showdown today. Er Ge is about to come online, so we need to leave.”

“Thank you, Eleven.” Bo Ge looked at the somewhat disheveled mongooses and bowed in gratitude. “Thank you all. I often provide free drinks at the survival mode bar. You guys are welcome to come.”

“No problem.” Eleven stylishly patted his red hair and left with his brothers. Bo Ge pulled Amber to the corner of the room and transferred thirty thousand star coins to her.

“I’ve saved half of it, and I’ll give the rest to you as soon as possible, sis.”

“Heh.” Amber chuckled, tilting her head back. “Little one, do you think your Amber sister is lacking these two credits?”

Thinking of the credit points the team owed her, Bo Ge looked at Amber with envy. “Amber sister is a millionaire now.”

“Three great joys in fox life: ex-boyfriend in jail, getting rich, and gaining freedom.” Amber appeared relaxed. “With the remaining thirty thousand star coins, consider it as me getting a discount card from you. Remember to punch it enough times for me in the future.”

“I’ll give everything to sister for free in the future!” Bo Ge solemnly promised. “I’ll poke until sister’s fur is all gone!”

“Silly kid.” Amber’s eyes twinkled. She coughed lightly, looking around to ensure no one was paying attention, then leaned in towards Bo Ge. “Are you and that Vice-Stability Officer…?”

“I, I think I might like him a little.” Bo Ge lowered his head, his face flushing.

If he couldn’t be clear about his feelings before, today he was certain that he really did have feelings for Big Cat!

“Oh no.” Amber had a feeling of “I knew it.”

“As an experienced fox,” Amber’s tone became serious, “I advise you to see through the other person clearly. Just because he’s a little nice to you, doesn’t mean you should fall for him.”

“I’m already an adult. I understand my own feelings and what liking someone means.” Gugu’s eyes sparkled with determination. “Sister, you can rest assured.”

Today was destined to be a joyful day. Bo Ge happily logged off, and as soon as he stepped out of the game pod, he started poking the felt.

With the thick needle, Bo Ge had roughly outlined Big Cat’s silhouette. Next, he would use a finer needle to poke Big Cat’s eyes and add some details.

He poked until the early hours of the morning, with Bo Ge dozing off while poking, and Little Du watching nervously beside him.

“Don’t worry, Little Du, I won’t poke my hand.” Gugu yawned widely, tears welling up in his eyes. “In TV dramas, people always prick their hands when sewing, but that’s a lie.”

A sharp pain in his fingertip jolted Bo Ge awake.

Dropping the fine needle, Bo Ge looked at the fresh red blood beads oozing from his fingertip, awkwardly turning to look at Little Du.

“Would you believe me if I said this was a mistake?”
