ARIWLBBC Chapter 61

Rich Gugu

Shopping can truly bring joy.

Gugu experienced firsthand what it means to shop until your eyes are sore and your hands are tired.

Whenever Gugu saw something interesting, there was no need to consider the price, shipping cost, or compare options—just pick it up and pay for it!

Is this the joy of being wealthy?

It’s truly fantastic!

Gugu rubbed his eyes and collapsed powerlessly onto the big cat cushion, exhausted and ready to sleep.

“How many credits have we spent?”

“Reporting to the young master, a total of 3,376,972 credits,” the scepter quickly pulled up the total bill for Gugu to review. “We still have two-thirds to go to reach our ten million goal.”

“No way?” Gugu wailed. “I feel like I’ve bought so much already.”

“Young master, you have bought a lot, but the items aren’t expensive,” the scepter honestly suggested. “We could look at more expensive things.”

“Not expensive?” Gugu sprang up. “I bought a latest model inhaler for 120,000 credits! The one I bought before was only 668!”

“Young master, look,” the scepter pulled up a 3D projection. “Do you see this blanket?”

“I see it.” Gugu obediently sat and looked up at the projection. It was a plain white blanket with a string of characters embroidered in the corner—simple and elegant. In his past life, it would have been the type to cost 9.99 with free shipping.

As of now, it could be delivered within three minutes for less than five credits.

The scepter next pulled up detailed information about the blanket. It was from the homeland of the elves, Sussomi Star, handmade with pure natural materials, designed by the famous interstellar designer Jin Jin, and limited to 9,999 pieces across the galaxy.

“This must be over a thousand credits, right?” Seeing the details, Gugu immediately made a judgment.

The scepter displayed the blanket’s price on the star network. Gugu stared seriously at the numbers, frowning in confusion. “A white blanket for nearly 900,000 credits? Who would be foolish enough to buy it?”

900,000 credits could buy a house, delicious food, or a nice trip. Buying a blanket? Are rich people’s credits this easy to scam?

The scepter silently showed an image of a rack by a swimming pool, neatly lined with dozens of identical white blankets.

“Hmm?” Gugu blinked in disbelief. “Who is this fool? Getting scammed once is bad enough, but buying so many at once—is this person rich and dumb?”

The scepter remained silent.

Gugu silently looked at the small golden ball, then at the hardworking payment leopard building a nest nearby.

“No way?” Gugu pointed at the big leopard. “Is this fool the one?”

The scepter nodded solemnly.

Nine million credits for ten blankets… is this the world of the rich?

Gugu deeply doubted himself. Was his perspective too narrow, or did the leopard have a different concept of spending?

“Would the young master like to visit the master’s residence?” The scepter mysteriously approached Gugu. “This is just the tip of the iceberg.”

“Mimi!” Gugu beckoned the leopard. The leopard quickly dropped the table leg it was holding and ran over, sitting obediently and blinking at the small golden ball, performing its payment tasks diligently.

“Not this way.” Gugu found the leash and put it on the leopard. “We are going to see your home.”

“Giao?” The leopard tilted its head in confusion.

“This is our home?” The scepter translated.

“Then let’s go on a trip,” Gugu felt like he was coaxing a child.

“Giaogiao!” The big leopard rolled on its side and refused to get up.

“I don’t want to go!” The scepter mimicked a spoiled tone.

“Behave.” Gugu patted the leopard’s head.

The leopard paused, then started rolling back and forth like a cat.

“Then I’ll go with Little Leopard.” Gugu took out the big cat felt, put down the leash, and pretended to leave.

Seeing this, the big leopard sprang up, grabbed the leash, and quickly followed Gugu.

Gugu pretended not to notice, walking downstairs. The big leopard, anxious, stumbled and rolled down the stairs, but quickly struck a graceful pose at the bottom, blocking the stairway and showing half its belly.

Its reaction was impressively agile.

Gugu held back laughter, stroked the leopard’s belly fur, picked up the leash, and followed the small golden ball out of the villa.

Seeing everyone leave, Xiao Du, who had been hiding on the first floor, finally breathed a sigh of relief and came out slowly. The scene in front of him was shocking.

A metal frame nest! The smart windows were almost torn out. What was going on?

“Ding ding ding”

The delivery reception emitted an urgent notification. Xiao Du approached in confusion, and when he opened the reception slot, a flood of packages poured out, box after box. Xiao Du fell to the ground, still buried in packages as the deliveries continued, burying the bewildered housekeeping robot.

“Because the master has a strong territorial awareness, he lives in an uninhabited area with patrol and cleanup teams to promptly drive away creatures in the area.” The scepter issued a request, and an autopilot aircraft was on the way.

“Really?” Gugu scratched his head while holding the big cat. “I remember when I bought Mimi, the pet shop owner said Mimi even scared a couple in the uninhabited area. If there’s a cleanup team, why were there still people in the uninhabited area?”

“According to the Alliance law, within private territory, the owner has the right to expel any creatures that enter without invitation. However, before this, the owner had a tantrum and dismantled the entire residence, including the territory’s defense system.”

The scepter couldn’t help but sigh. “The defense system probably never expected that its greatest enemy would not come from outside, but from its own owner.”

“Dismantled the building?” Gugu looked down at the big leopard rubbing against his leg. Sensing the human’s gaze, the big cat raised its front paws and placed them on Gugu, its hind legs continuously tapping to keep balance, as if it were about to dance with Gugu.

Gugu held the leopard’s paws, moving left and right. The big cat purred, resting its head on Gugu’s shoulder, looking like a shy little bride.

The aircraft landed steadily in front of the person and the leopard. The cabin door opened, but the big cat clung to Gugu, unwilling to get down. Helpless, Gugu had to pick up the big cat and step into the aircraft one step at a time.

Inside, the aircraft was luxuriously furnished. Gugu saw a small conference room and a bar.

“This is a custom aircraft for the master, equipped with top-tier amenities. It’s one of the few in the Alliance capable of withstanding temperatures up to 2000 degrees Celsius and performing wormhole jumps,” the scepter introduced to Gugu.

Curious, Gugu walked to the bar. A handsome, expressionless bionic robot politely asked, “May I get you something?”

“Do you have milk… no, milk beer?” Gugu licked his lips, thinking about the milk beer he had tasted at Vientiane. That slightly tipsy feeling was comfortably warm.

“Sorry, we don’t have milk beer suitable for humans here, but I can mix an Alexandra for you.”

A panel appeared in front of Gugu, listing the ingredients and nutritional information of the Alexandra.

“Will it get me drunk?” Gugu gripped the bar, like a student sneaking out to do something naughty behind their parents’ backs.

“That depends on your constitution,” the bionic robot replied.

“Then I’ll have one,” Gugu said, watching the big cat explore and leave its mark on the aircraft.

The bionic robot quickly prepared the drink and placed it in front of Gugu. He leaned in and sniffed, smelling chocolate and milk.

“Is this really alcohol?” Gugu curiously took a small sip. It was creamy and full of milk flavor, with a hint of chocolate, like having a bite of chocolate-flavored ice cream. It was sweet to the core!

“This is so good!” Gugu exclaimed, gulping down the drink. He wiped the cream from his lips and waved at the bionic robot. “Another one!”

Hearing this, the big cat curiously leaped onto the bar stool next to Gugu, eyeing the empty glass the robot was about to take away.

“Giao?”

The handsome bionic robot paused, as if hearing an unreasonable request. Nonetheless, it placed the empty glass in front of the big cat. The cat leaned in, licking the cream residue from the glass.

“You can’t drink that!” Gugu hurriedly locked the leopard’s head with his arm. “There’s chocolate in it!”

As Gugu locked the leopard’s head, the bar’s bionic robot quickly picked up a laser gun from under the counter, aiming it at Gugu.

Gugu turned to see the laser gun charging, froze, and slowly released the leopard’s head.

“Deactivate self-defense mode!” the scepter quickly flew to the bionic robot’s side. “That behavior was a normal social interaction!”

The bionic robot saw Gugu release his hold and slowly lowered the laser gun. The big cat, sensing it was no longer being held tightly, snuggled closer to Gugu. The robot once again raised its gun.

Gugu let go completely, staring intently at the robot. The big cat hugged Gugu’s neck, purring and nuzzling.

“Wait a moment, young master,” the scepter quickly operated. “This is a service and combat robot. Only the master can authorize it. I’ll deactivate its combat mode.”

“Hurry…” Gugu watched the robot’s laser gun reach full charge.

The big cat continued to nuzzle Gugu, hanging onto him. Gugu was speechless. The laser gun reached full charge, and the robot’s eyes flashed red. It slowly lowered the gun, ready to attack.

“Combat mode deactivated?” Gugu breathed a sigh of relief, hugging the affectionate big cat.

“Well…” the scepter hesitated, “actually, no.”

“Huh?” Gugu quickly let go of the cat.

“It’s strange. This advanced bionic robot should only follow commands from the master, but it voluntarily ceased its attack on you,” the scepter pondered. “This is unusual.”

“Huh?” Gugu was about to complain, but suddenly recalled many movies about robots from his previous life.

“Do you know the Three Laws of Robotics?” Gugu had an epiphany.

“The Three Laws?” the scepter questioned. “What are those? I couldn’t find them in the database.”

“Seriously?” Gugu was puzzled. Shouldn’t that be common knowledge?

“Do you know the ‘Smell Good’ law?” Gugu tried another question.

“The ‘Smell Good’ law? Why would ‘smell good’ have a law?” the scepter tilted in confusion.

Staring at the robot, Gugu decided to conduct an experiment.

While watching the robot, Gugu slowly hugged the big cat. The robot did nothing.

The big cat purred happily.

Gugu bent down, looking at the robot, and nibbled on the cat’s round ear.

The robot remained motionless.

The big cat excitedly wagged its tail.

“What about you? Do you know the Three Laws of Robotics?” Gugu directly asked the robot.

The handsome bionic robot slowly raised its index finger to its lips and made a shushing gesture towards Gugu.
