BMHS Chapter 032.1

Two completely incommensurable things were forced to be put together by Meng Ting. It should feel somewhat awkward, but Meng Ting’s look, his eyes, and his tone were all so persuasive that people couldn’t help but believe in him.

Being compared like this by Meng Ting, Yan Sui couldn’t raise any unwillingness at all.

When Meng Ting saw Yan Sui just looking at him without saying anything, he turned around completely. Then, he came over, took Yan Sui’s hand, and pulled him to the window.

“Does it look good?”

“Good-looking,” Yan Sui responded. He reached over and pulled Meng Ting in front of him. He put his arms around him and rested his chin on his shoulder. The sea breeze blew slowly, and he slowly closed his eyes.

Meng Ting turned his head slightly to look at Yan Sui, and his lips gently brushed the side of his face. After pausing for a moment, he turned back, his cheeks turning a little redder, but his hand had already firmly grasped Yan Sui’s hand on his waist.

Yan Sui opened his eye slightly, then slowly closed it again. A smile appeared on the corner of his mouth, his mood was even more beautiful than the sunset on the seaside.

After a long time, Yan Sui whispered in Meng Ting’s ear and asked, “Shall we go for a walk to the beach?”

“Okay.”

They opened the door and stepped out. A group of people wandering in the corridor on the second floor all turned around, their gazes scanning back and forth as if trying to spot any subtle signs of abnormality on Yan Sui and Meng Ting, but to no avail.

When Meng Ting met their eyes, the impulse to hold Yan Sui tightly with all four limbs surged within him again. His eyes widened slightly, and he discreetly tightened his grip on Yan Sui’s hand.

Yan Sui turned his head and glanced at Meng Ting, thinking that he was a little nervous being looked at by these people.

“This is Meng Ting, your sister-in-law.”

“Sister-in-law!” The five people in the corridor on the second floor opened their mouths. Regardless of whether they shouted loudly or quietly, this ‘Sister-in-law’ sounded exceptionally neat.

“You already know Zhong Ming. He is Ji Ke, and he is Xiao Ming.”

Yan Sui pointed to the three people in front of them and introduced them to Meng Ting.

“Hello.” Meng Ting greeted them with sincerity in his eyes, but the unconscious guard in his body still did not dissipate.

This feeling was like when he was carrying his favorite big white mantou in his arms, walking among a group of people who he didn’t know if they were hungry or not. He could smell the sweet and fragrant scent, but he was afraid that if anyone came close, they would smell it too and turn around to snatch it from him.

Of course, he knew that Yan Sui wasn’t a big white mantou, but he liked Yan Sui too. Yan Sui’s mother said that there were so many people who wanted to marry him that they couldn’t even line up from the south of the city to the north. With so many people, the probability of him meeting someone who wanted to marry Yan Sui was too high.

He was really worried.

“I’m Shi He. Sister-in-law, just call me Shitou like Yan Lao Da does,” a tall man behind Zhong Ming introduced himself without Yan Sui having to speak. Then he nudged the man on his side with his elbow. This person looks like an overly refined man compared to him.

“Senior Brother, I didn’t expect to be able to drink your wedding wine so soon.”

The man was wearing a black suit and a white shirt, his skin was fair, refined in manner, and spoke quite kindly.

“I’m Rong Nan. I have the same mentor as Senior Brother. Senior brother is our teacher’s favorite disciple, and he always praises him every year at the gathering.”

“Yan Sui is very good,” Meng Ting nodded in agreement, but his grip on Yan Sui’s hand got tighter. Although this Rong Nan didn’t give him the impression that he strongly coveted Yan Sui like Su Siyu, he still felt that there was something wrong with him. Besides, everyone called him sister-in-law, but only he didn’t.

Yan Sui nodded lightly to them, “I’ll take Meng Ting to the beach for a walk. We’ll be back soon.”

After he said this, the five people standing in a row naturally gave way.

Rong Nan hesitated a little but also stepped aside, and then watched Yan Sui lead Meng Ting away.

“Oh my god, why is our sister-in-law so good? I really want to touch him.”

Shi He murmured his thoughts, then smiled and grabbed Zhong Ming’s shoulders in front of him. He raised his hand and rubbed Zhong Ming’s hair directly. His sister-in-law’s hair couldn’t be touched, so he had to make do with his brother’s.

Zhong Ming looked confused, and then started to resist with a gloomy look on his face, “Shitou, you’re so bold! Even dare to touch my head?”

“I just touch it, so what…”

The few people who rarely gathered together were rowdy and boisterous, explosive and fierce, but it couldn’t be denied that they had the sincere intention of rushing back to Haicheng from far away.

Yan Sui and Meng Ting heard Zhong Ming’s yelling and the laughter of the group from downstairs, but they did not linger. They left the villa and walked towards the beach.

The soft, fine sand under their feet felt special. Meng Ting’s steps were sometimes heavy and sometimes light, and he was having a great time playing.

He suddenly leaned over and grabbed a handful of sand, “It’s so soft.”

He slowly opened his hand, and the fine sand slipped quietly from between his fingers. The sea breeze blew, and the remaining sand in his palm was also blown away.

Meng Ting looked down at his palm. It was unknown what he was thinking at this moment, but it made Yan Sui have the urge to embrace him.

He took a step forward. With a gentle pull, he pulled the person into his arms and hugged him. Only then did he ask in a low voice, “What are you thinking about?”

“The wind was so strong that it blew away all my sand.”

Things like grieving over the passing of spring or feeling sorrow about the coming of autumn1悲春傷秋 (bēi chūn shāng qiū): T/N: Should be the idiom 傷春悲秋 (shāng chūn bēi qiū), lit. grieving over (the passing of) spring and feeling sorrow about (the coming of) autumn; grieve over the passing of spring or feel sad with the advent of autumn; to be very sentimental (idiom); sad emotions caused by changes in seasons and scenery, describing sentimentality. weren’t something Meng Ting could do. There was a reason why he opened his eyes wide, “It even blew into my eyes.”

He looked up at Yan Sui, a layer of mist had already accumulated in his eyes, making them wet.
Obviously, Yan Sui had overthought things and almost made a mistake, but when Meng Ting looked at him like this, Yan Sui’s heart was still softened.

He let go of his hand that was resting on Meng Ting’s back, cupped Meng Ting’s face, and came a little closer, “Bear with it, don’t blink.”

“Yeah.” Meng Ting answered. He raised his face obediently and resisted the strong urge to close his eyes. His eyelashes trembled uncontrollably, and the charm of those peach blossom eyes was clearly visible.

Yan Sui’s Adam’s apple rolled, and then he forced himself to concentrate. He looked at Meng Ting’s eyes carefully, then blew into his left eye which was covered in sand, “Blink a bit, then open it again and let me see.”

Meng Ting opened his eyes obediently after hearing this, but his eyelashes were wet and the tip of his nose was slightly sour. He didn’t feel aggrieved in his heart, but his expression was extremely aggrieved and pitiful.

Yan Sui felt even more distressed, he blew twice more in a row, “Blink again.”

“Is it better?”

Meng Ting blinked once and then again. After feeling it for a while, he nodded, “Yes.”

He lifted his hand to wipe his tears, but his hand was caught by Yan Sui again.

“Don’t wipe it with your hands.”

As he spoke, Yan Sui took out a silk handkerchief from his suit pocket, raised Meng Ting’s chin with his other hand, and wiped it carefully for him.

“You can play with sand, but you have to be careful. It will be bad if you get blinded by it.”

Meng Ting did not respond and just looked at Yan Sui. The scenery on the seaside was still beautiful, but it was not as beautiful as Yan Sui who was talking to him in this way. Um, his Yan Sui is the most beautiful.

The two people stood on the beach, with the slanting sunset casting long shadows.

They hadn’t walked far, and their figures could be seen from a distance even from the second floor of the villa. When Yan Sui took the initiative to hug Meng Ting, all the playfulness quieted down, and everyone stared blankly.

Although no one knew what Yan Sui and Meng Ting had said, what further verification is needed? Without any surprises, it was sweet nothings between the two of them2你儂我儂 (nǐ nóng wǒ nóng): lit. you and me; the intimate relations between man and woman; to bill and coo; From Guan Daosheng‘s poem in the early Yuan dynasty., completely ignoring their intimate actions. When Yan Sui lowered his head to blow on Meng Ting’s eyes, everyone mistook it for a kiss.

Just as they were about to avert their gaze in shock3蛋疼 (dàn téng): (neologism, slang) so bored, astonished or frustrated that one’s “balls” hurt; ball-breaking; pain in the ass; an Internet buzzword. coined by Chinese World of Warcraft players. It has many extended meanings, generally representing something very embarrassing or shocking., the two shadows overlapped once again, but this time it seemed like Meng Ting kissed Yan Sui.

“Oh my god, I also want to fall in love. I don’t want to be abused4虐 (nüè): T/N: From the term; abused dog [虐狗 (nüè gǒu)], (literally) to torture a dog; (neologism, slang, humorous) to torture the “single dog” (單身狗), i.e. to “torture” an unpartnered person by publicly displaying one’s affection in a couple..”

Shi He yelped and hooked his arm around Zhong Ming’s neck again, “How about we make do with each other?”

Zhong Ming squinted his eyes and said, “Fine, if you can beat my dad first, I’ll make do with you.”

“Haha,” Shi He laughed and took his hand back. He looked at Zhen Han again, “Han Zi, let’s make do. Yan Lao Da has gone too far! We have to return the favor by doing the same thing to him.”

Zhen Han looked at Shi He seriously, then turned away, “You are too ugly.”

Shi He was shot twice in a row. He took two steps back in grief, looking extremely sad.

“Come on, come on, what’s there to see? Haven’t you been abused enough?”

Gu Lang said in a loud voice, but his expression was that of being abused. He had escaped the first day, but he couldn’t escape the fifteenth5逃過了初一,逃不過十五 (táo guò le chū yī, táo bù guò shí wǔ): T/N: From the phrase; 躲過初一,躲不過十五 (duǒ guò chū yī , duǒ bù guò shí wǔ) or 躲得過初一,躲不過十五 (duǒ de guò chū yī , duǒ bù guò shí wǔ), lit. you may go undetected during the new moon, but at full moon you’ll be found out (idiom); fig. you can’t put it off forever; sooner or later you’ll have to deal with it; one can avoid something for a short while but not forever; refers to escaping for a while, but ultimately cannot escape at all.. He was mentally prepared, but he still didn’t expect Yan Sui to be so cruel and inhumane. Didn’t he know that there were a dozen bachelors here!

In fact, Meng Ting didn’t kiss the person at all. He was just afraid that the waves would be too loud and Yan Sui wouldn’t be able to hear him, so he moved closer.

“I like you, I like you so much.”

Meng Ting’s eyes, reflecting the beautiful glow of the setting sun, looked extremely captivating, as if they could only hold Yan Sui in their focus.

Indeed, that was the case. Meng Ting had completely forgotten where he was at this moment. The heartbeat in his chest was clear and distinct, beating for Yan Sui. It wasn’t the kind of heartbeat that came with kissing or mutual comfort, but simply from Yan Sui talking to him, looking at him, causing his heartbeat to quicken.

At this moment, he didn’t need anyone to tell him; he knew that his heart was moved. It was the simplest yet most inexplicable reason for his heartbeat.

He had never liked anyone before, and it was unlikely that he would ever like anyone else again in the future.

He likes Yan Sui now and in the future. He was absolutely certain of this.

Meng Ting’s vocabulary was too poor. He didn’t know how to describe his like for someone. He could only keep repeating the like itself, but this was more moving than any rhetoric.

The sound of the waves sometimes roared and sometimes receded. Yan Sui couldn’t even determine whether his heartbeat was speeding up or slowing down. This feeling was very special, as if his world had shrunk in an instant, so narrow that he could only see what was in front of him.

After a while, he smiled gently at Meng Ting and then held his hand, interlocking their fingers as they continued to stroll on the beach bathed in the glow of the setting sun.

This chapter will be split into 3 parts. The next 2 parts will be up soon.
