Luo Yu whined, “Yeah, why do you keep calling me ‘baby’?”
Jiang Yang, puzzled, asked, “You keep calling him that?”
Gu Zhifei thought for a moment. “It’s a long story—let’s get him up first.”
Jiang Yang stood still, keeping Luo Yu pinned to the ground, which made him uncomfortable. “Hey, didn’t you hear Gu Zhifei? Let me up already!”
Jiang Yang asked, “You two are close?”
Luo Yu grumbled impatiently, “Duh! Why else would I follow him around? He even promised to take me to KFC. Why haven’t you let go yet?”
Reluctantly, Jiang Yang released his grip. He hesitated, wanting to glance at Gu Zhifei, but stopped himself, then turned around and walked off.
Luo Yu, feeling the pain in his joints, tried to take a step forward but found he couldn’t move. Looking down, he saw the bald-tailed dog stubbornly biting his pant leg, refusing to let go.
Luo Yu: “…”
Gu Zhifei glanced at Jiang Yang’s retreating figure, then fished out some cash and stuffed it into Luo Yu’s hand. “Go grab something to eat for yourself, and buy two chicken legs for Xiao Jiangzi. Wait for me at the plaza when you’re done.”
Luo Yu, confused, asked, “And what about you?”
Gu Zhifei smiled, turning back briefly. “I need to smooth things over with my ‘wife.’”
Luo Yu: “…”
A thought occurred to Luo Yu. “What if I don’t wait?”
“You can figure that out yourself.” Gu Zhifei raised an eyebrow. “And think carefully about how to explain your behavior these past few days. Confession earns leniency, resisting… well, you know the consequences.”
The memory of being dominated by Gu Zhifei in the past sent a shiver down Luo Yu’s spine.
Gu Zhifei had already done his homework on Jiang Yang and knew where his dorm was, so when he didn’t catch up to him on the way, he headed straight to the dorm. Upon arriving, he found that Jiang Yang wasn’t there. When he asked the roommates, they didn’t know where he had gone either.
“Why don’t you wait here?” Jiang Yang’s roommate suggested. “That’s his bed over there, by the window.”
Gu Zhifei sat down, casually flipping through a book left on the desk. A notebook next to it caught his eye—its cover read Study Notes.
Curious, Gu Zhifei picked it up, but before he could flip through many pages, Jiang Yang returned.
“Don’t touch that!” Jiang Yang rushed over the moment he saw Gu Zhifei with the notebook, his face full of panic.
But it was too late—Gu Zhifei had already seen the content.
He gave Jiang Yang a long, meaningful look. “The ‘study material’ I gave you, you’ve really taken it to heart, huh?”
Jiang Yang’s face flushed deep red. He snatched the notebook back, shoved it into the bookshelf, then grabbed Gu Zhifei by the arm and practically dragged him toward the door. In his haste, Gu Zhifei’s leg knocked against the stair railing with a loud “thud.” Jiang Yang froze and turned around, seeing Gu Zhifei in obvious pain, unable to speak.
Panicked, Jiang Yang asked, “Did you hurt yourself? Is it bad?”
Gu Zhifei nodded, wincing as he leaned against Jiang Yang. “I can’t stand up. Do you think I broke something?”
“I’ll take you to the campus clinic!” Jiang Yang, completely believing him, scooped Gu Zhifei up in his arms and dashed out of the dorm. After running about 100 meters, Gu Zhifei patted him on the back and directed him to turn off the main path.
Jiang Yang, still flustered, said, “But the clinic isn’t this way.”
Gu Zhifei, unfazed, replied, “There’s a shortcut.”
“Oh,” Jiang Yang said, obediently turning as instructed.
They walked through a small hill and eventually reached the lakeside, which was a popular spot for couples. That’s when Jiang Yang finally realized something wasn’t right. He looked down at Gu Zhifei. “Wait… were you messing with me?”
Gu Zhifei admitted openly, “You caught me.”
Jiang Yang: “…” He almost dropped Gu Zhifei out of frustration.
Sensing Jiang Yang’s intention, Gu Zhifei swiftly hooked his arms around Jiang Yang’s neck and, in a fluid motion, wrapped his legs around Jiang Yang’s waist.
Jiang Yang: “…”
With Gu Zhifei clinging tightly to him, Jiang Yang’s hands hovered awkwardly, unsure whether to push him away or hold him up so he wouldn’t fall.
His mind was a mess, torn between two opposing thoughts, and he had no idea what to do next.
Not giving Jiang Yang a chance to escape, Gu Zhifei whispered into his ear, “You took a lot of notes from those videos. Did you learn everything?”
Jiang Yang’s body stiffened as Gu Zhifei’s warm breath tickled his ear. His brain short-circuited, and he automatically shook his head. “I haven’t practiced, so I don’t know.”
Gu Zhifei kissed the heated tip of his ear and asked softly, “Want to try it out?”
“How… do we try?” Jiang Yang asked hesitantly.
Gu Zhifei grinned, pulling Jiang Yang’s tucked shirt out of his pants and running his hand over his abs. “What do you think?”
Jiang Yang swallowed hard, realizing his mouth had gone dry. His body tensed with every inch Gu Zhifei’s hand moved.
Gu Zhifei’s hand reached Jiang Yang’s belt buckle, and his muscles became rock solid, frozen in place as if afraid any movement would shatter the moment.
With a soft “click” the belt buckle came undone.
