After half an hour, Pythius felt like a limp and useless little bird.
He had already confessed, but the officer hadn’t. After his confession, the officer had slowed down, mindful of his feelings, but embarrassingly, Pythius was getting aroused again.
Pythius felt both self-loathing and touched that his partner, even though he was a strict bottom, hadn’t stopped and hadn’t even shown any displeasure. It was as if he could accept everything about Pythius.
The officer hadn’t finished yet, probably because he didn’t like using the back door and maybe he wasn’t feeling anything. But Pythius loved how he was feeling right now. He might be turning into a 0.51A switch basically.
Still, he needed to do something for his partner later. He could probably manage just one round, though he couldn’t guarantee the quality.
Pythius felt a bit sorry for his partner, who was a pure bottom but had acted as the top for him. He couldn’t give his partner the best experience.
Despite being a pure bottom, the officer had tried several different moves.
With a hoarse throat, Pythius thought with his remaining mental capacity that his partner was really experienced. He couldn’t help but wonder who the officer’s previous tops were and if he could compete with them.
It lasted even longer.
Pythius had lost all sense of time, feeling like a bird that had fallen into the sea, his ability to think lost, just being swept away by waves that grew higher and higher.
…
Jun Ye was feeling lazy, maintaining the same position as he hugged Pythius.
He didn’t want to move, wanting to hold him a little longer before taking him to clean up.
Jun Ye rested his chin on Pythius’s shoulder, but he felt Pythius start to struggle weakly, like a helpless baby animal.
“What’s wrong? Are you feeling uncomfortable somewhere?” Jun Ye asked.
His Adam’s apple was against Pythius’s back shoulder, and as he spoke, Pythius could feel the vibration of his vocal cords.
His voice was so magnetic and attractive, and being held by his boyfriend like this afterward felt really good…
Pythius couldn’t help but smile happily and contentedly.
No! Pythius, get a grip! Even though he just pounded you, he’s still your bottom! As long as you can still move, you should get up and satisfy him!
Jun Ye felt his partner go still for a moment after he asked, then felt him start to move again.
Jun Ye relaxed his arms, letting Pythius turn around.
Even so, it took Pythius a while to turn around and face Jun Ye.
“I-I can take care of you now…” Pythius said hoarsely, feeling guilty as he spoke.
He could move because he had used a healing spell to restore his stamina, but recovery also took time. He could move now, but his strength was probably only that of a child.
But no worries, after a bit more rest, he would be able to rise to the occasion!
Jun Ye smiled and pulled him back into his arms, saying, “I’m surprised you can still move, but I think if you keep going, you’ll have to go to the hospital for an IV drip tonight.”
“But I-I’m afraid you’ll think I’m faking it…” Pythius pressed his face against Jun Ye’s chest.
Jun Ye paused, then said, “It’s fine. I’ve met plenty who said they’d top me but ended up spreading their legs and screaming themselves hoarse. You’re no different.”
Pythius: “I’m not like them, I’m not…” Faking it.
It seemed he couldn’t clear his name. His newly started boyfriend had concluded he was pretending to be a top just to get some action. What should he do?
“Hmm? Didn’t you seem to enjoy it?” Jun Ye’s fingers brushed over Pythius’s Adam’s apple.
Pythius, whose throat was hoarse from screaming: “…” He couldn’t possibly say he didn’t enjoy it, it felt amazing!
How could a pure bottom be such a great top? Was it really because so many fake tops tried to deceive him?
Pythius wanted to ask, but he felt that asking would categorize himself as a fake top trying to deceive him too, so he couldn’t bring himself to ask. He still wanted to salvage the situation. He needed to take care of his body, replenish his energy, and show his partner he wasn’t like those fake tops.
But…
“Can I still meet you in the future?” Pythius was afraid Jun Ye would see him as a fake top and blacklist him from dating.
“Of course you can. Didn’t we agree on a long-term relationship?”
Pythius blinked. But I only told you my name and nothing else; I thought you wouldn’t acknowledge me.
Relieved by the affirmative answer, Pythius felt a wave of happiness but also a bit of sadness for the officer.
Jun Ye was handsome, had a great body, and was impressively endowed. Naturally, many bottoms would covet him, but the officer was just a pure bottom.
Despite having to play top for Pythius, Jun Ye remained so calm. It was clear that he had probably been deceived by fake tops long before.
Pythius hugged Jun Ye back firmly, declaring, “I’ll work hard next time! I’ll make sure you’re satisfied!”
Jun Ye: “… A young man with great ambitions, I see.”
Jun Ye’s bachelor apartment felt much more alive since Pythius arrived.
Jun Ye noticed the half-dead plants on the balcony were now showing new green shoots, each leaf spreading out to bask in the sunlight. The small fish tank’s water had been changed at some point, and a blue-purple betta fish was spreading its fins and swimming around. His partner, wearing a somewhat ill-fitting shirt and casual pants, was inspecting the kitchen. Sunlight poured over Pythius’s face, warm and comforting.
The whole apartment smelled different, more like… home.
Pythius came out of the kitchen, “There’s nothing left in the fridge. I’m going to buy some groceries.”
“I’ll come with you,” Jun Ye offered. He was useless in the kitchen, but at least he could drive.
“Okay.” Pythius couldn’t hide his smile, his eyes curving as he watched Jun Ye go to grab the keys.
At the entryway, they changed shoes, and Jun Ye noticed they wore almost the same size. His partner could wear his shoes.
Jun Ye let Pythius pick a pair, watching as he hesitated before looking around and asking, “Officer, do you mind going out with a woman?”
“…Not really.” Jun Ye had a bad feeling about this. He then saw Pythius bend down to put on a pair of light-colored casual shoes.
Nothing wrong with that… right?
Hand in hand, they walked out the door. The moment they stepped outside, Jun Ye immediately noticed that something felt off about Pythius’s hand.
Turning around, he saw a tall, blonde woman with shoulder-length hair smiling at him.
Jun Ye: “…” If you keep this up, what if I turn straight?
Now he understood why Pythius had chosen those light-colored shoes—most neutral.
“Why are you like this?” Jun Ye asked, taking off his jacket and draping it over Pythius’s shoulders.
A man wearing just a shirt out was normal. A woman… especially one with a rather full chest… not so much.
“This way, I can show everyone you’re my boyfriend.” Pythius didn’t see anything wrong with what he was doing. It wasn’t cold outside, so he didn’t understand why Jun Ye gave him his jacket, but he obediently kept it on.
Jun Ye was used to a world where people of the same gender could get married and get a license. Even in the previous beastmen world, others imagined him as a fearsome wizard and dared not say anything in front of him and his partner.
He hadn’t thought back to his original world, where two men being together challenged public acceptance.
“This must be hard on you…” It wasn’t just that they couldn’t marry and get a license; even going out together as their real selves would attract criticism.
Pythius shook his head, quietly interlocking his fingers with Jun Ye’s. There was another reason he hadn’t mentioned—his true identity was tied to the Mage Guild.
He had told Jun Ye he had just joined the guild as a low-level member, but that was a lie that required more lies to cover up. It was just a casual excuse back then, but now he couldn’t bring himself to reveal his true identity.
After all, a random nobody and a boss of a rival faction were two very different things. Someone could overlook his identity as a nobody but wouldn’t easily ignore him being the boss of a rival faction.
Pythius suddenly realized that all the happiness with his lover was built on a false identity. He felt both guilty and afraid, breaking into a cold sweat.
They walked into the elevator one after the other.
Jun Ye avoided eye contact the whole way. Only when they were inside the elevator did he notice Pythius was wearing his jacket without buttoning it up.
If he walked out like this, Jun Ye figured people would react just as much as if they saw two men holding hands.
Feeling helpless, Jun Ye turned and took the jacket off Pythius’s shoulders, saying, “Xiao Xiu, hold out your arms.”
“I’m not cold…” Pythius was so nervous he couldn’t put any strength into his voice. He didn’t want to seem weak, but he obediently put his arms into the sleeves.
Jun Ye noticed Pythius’s mood was off. He gently lifted Pythius’s hands, buttoning the jacket from top to bottom before asking, “What were you thinking about just now?”
Pythius: “I was thinking about you.” I was thinking about whether you’d leave me.
Jun Ye nodded, “Hmm, go on.” Tell me how you imagined me as a heartless jerk in your head again.
Pythius: “???”
Isn’t this the part where he gets praised for being sweet or gets a hug?
How was he supposed to continue? He couldn’t just tell the truth, could he?
Pythius hesitated. A single lie needed countless more to cover it up, and the more lies he told, the harder it became to end it.
Clenching his teeth, Pythius said, “I’m actually not just a low-level member of the Mage Guild. I…”
Jun Ye nodded, finishing his sentence, “You’ve been in the guild for a long time and hold a high position.”
“?!!”
Pythius looked at Jun Ye in shock and suspicion. “How do you know?!”
“With your terrible acting skills, it’s hard not to know.” The elevator doors opened, and Jun Ye grabbed his hand, leading him out.
Pythius shrank back a little but still followed.
He had known all along, yet why was he still being affectionate with him? Why did he let himself be topped like that? Pythius wanted to know the reason. Whether it was because Jun Ye was using him or because he had genuine feelings, he needed to know.
Jun Ye led him to the car, set the GPS to the nearest market, and said, “Buckle up.”
It had been a long time since he had driven such an old-fashioned vehicle. He cared more about his partner than he did about a random subordinate, so he wasn’t taking any chances.
Pythius quietly buckled his seatbelt.
As the car started, Pythius sat in the passenger seat, tense, waiting for Jun Ye’s judgment.
It wasn’t until the car stopped outside the market and Jun Ye casually called him to get out that Pythius realized something was wrong.
He had been anxious the whole way, but it seemed like Jun Ye had no intention of continuing the previous conversation?
—You said my acting was terrible, didn’t you see through my disguise? What’s your judgment? Do you still want me or not?
Pythius followed behind Jun Ye, lightly tugging at his sleeve.
“Hmm?” Jun Ye turned around and, seeing Pythius’s cautious expression, knew what was up.
With Pythius’s overactive imagination, the careful look on his face meant that he had probably imagined Jun Ye as a massive jerk by now.
Pythius: “Do you still want me?”
Jun Ye: “Yes, once a day.”
Pythius blinked, then quickly said, “O-okay! I’ll make sure to satisfy you every time!”
Jun Ye: “…”
After imagining a whole dramatic scene, life seemed to go on just the same.
(I lied about updating more regularly… yikes sorry!)
I got a headache from how many times “pure bottom” was written lmao
