CATSR Chapter 111

[Spiritual Revival] City Guard Captain Gong 12

As if entranced, Pythius lifted his tail.

“Hmnn… Jun…”

A faint moan escaped his lips. Jun Ye, who had been frozen in place, gradually regained his composure. He glanced deeply at Pythius’s dazed expression before pulling his hand away.

Pythius instinctively wanted to stop him, but Jun Ye had already turned around. Staring at his retreating back, Pythius opened his mouth, but no sound came out.

Jun Ye grabbed a towel, returned to the bathtub, and reached down to lift his dazed partner out of the water.

The human-bodied, fish-tailed Pythius landed softly in the crisp white towel.

Pythius rested his head on Jun Ye’s shoulder, the warm, solid sensation of being held reassuring him. The strong arms around him made the cotton towel seem all the softer as it gradually absorbed the moisture from his skin.

Biting his lip, Pythius clung to Jun Ye, his nose tingling as he sniffled slightly. “I’m sorry… I’ll figure out how to change back.”

Jun Ye’s hand paused mid-motion. “You don’t need to apologize.”

The legacy had been intended for him, but even if Pythius couldn’t return to his human form, it wouldn’t change how Jun Ye felt about him. A fish tail was hardly reason enough to create a rift between them.

“You… still want me, don’t you?” Pythius gripped Jun Ye’s shirt tightly, his voice cautious and tinged with worry.

“Mm,” Jun Ye replied simply as he carried Pythius into the bedroom.

Pythius’s back met the soft mattress, his gaze locking with Jun Ye’s sharp features. His breath hitched for a moment as he felt the towel being removed.

Wide-eyed, Pythius froze in tension. He wasn’t even sure why he was so nervous, only to see Jun Ye straighten up and feel the comforter settle gently over him.

“Still feel dry?” Jun Ye asked, tucking the blanket around Pythius.

Pythius shook his head, resting his chin on the blanket as his blue-green eyes stayed fixed on Jun Ye.

Satisfied, Jun Ye withdrew his hand. Seeing Pythius staring at him, he said, “I’m going to take a shower. Rest for a bit.”

Pythius nodded obediently, watching as Jun Ye entered the bathroom. The moment the door clicked shut, he burrowed under the covers.

Too embarrassing! What was that spot Jun Ye had pressed? What was happening to his body? Why had it made him feel so… willing?

Pythius squirmed under the blanket, wrestling with his thoughts. Eventually, he peeked out, his gaze lingering on the closed bathroom door. Hesitantly, he lifted the blanket and sat up.

It was late at night, the room dimly lit by the half-lowered blinds. The soft glow illuminated his semi-transparent fish tail, its scales glinting faintly.

Holding his breath, Pythius gingerly reached for the spot Jun Ye had touched. His fingers traced over the smooth, gem-like texture of the scales—cool, hard, and polished.

Then his hand moved lower, toward that subtle indentation…

Pythius froze as his senses flooded with overwhelming sensation. The rest of the world seemed to fade away, leaving only the vivid, sharp feeling at his fingertips.

Click—

The bathroom door opened, and Jun Ye stepped out to see Pythius leaning over his tail, his hand lingering on a certain spot.

At the sound of the door, Pythius stiffened and jolted. In a flash, he flopped back onto the bed, yanked the blanket over himself, and covered every inch of his body tightly.

The entire sequence took less than a second. By the time Jun Ye paused mid-step, Pythius had already tucked himself under the blanket, leaving not even a corner exposed.

What was the appropriate response when you accidentally caught your partner doing… that?

Jun Ye’s gaze fell on the stray strands of hair peeking out from beneath the blanket. He hesitated for a moment before walking over.

Underneath the blanket, Pythius’s mind was a chaotic mess. His heart raced wildly, and his breathing came heavy and uneven. The air in the enclosed space felt suffocating.

He heard Jun Ye sit down beside him, the mattress dipping slightly under his weight. Then, with a faint click, the light from outside vanished, and the room plunged into darkness.

The silence stretched, broken only by Pythius’s unsteady breathing. He could feel Jun Ye’s presence, the way his attention seemed to focus through the layers of fabric.

Finally, Jun Ye spoke. “Share the blanket.”

Huh?

Oh…!

Pythius scooted over, releasing his death grip on the blanket and loosely clasping his hands near his chest.

The blanket lifted at one corner, letting in a cool breeze before Jun Ye settled beside him.

Would Jun Ye bring it up? Or pretend nothing happened? Pythius didn’t know, but either option filled him with unease.

Jun Ye turned to face him, stretching out a hand. When his hand landed on Pythius’s shoulder, the fish-tailed man instinctively flinched.

Jun Ye paused mid-movement and asked in a low voice, “Does it feel too hot?”

Earlier, Pythius had yelped that warm water meant for human bathing was scalding, so Jun Ye had deliberately taken a cold shower. While cold water wouldn’t harm his enhanced physique, he wasn’t sure if Pythius could handle the same temperature.

“N-No, it’s not hot…” Pythius’s muffled voice came from under the blanket.

Hearing this, Jun Ye continued, wrapping an arm firmly around Pythius and shifting closer, creating a small space between them.

Fresh air enveloped Pythius again, but with Jun Ye so near, he barely dared to breathe.

The faint moonlight streaming through the half-closed blinds sketched vague outlines in the dim room, though Pythius, with his night vision abilities, could see Jun Ye clearly. His furrowed brows suggested he was lost in thought.

Jun Ye had said he would still want him, but Pythius couldn’t shake his fear—fear that the legacy, or his bizarre fish tail, would cause Jun Ye to despise him.

After what felt like an eternity, Jun Ye leaned down and kissed him.

One arm looped around Pythius’s neck while the other held his waist, pulling them tightly together.

Pythius blinked, stunned, but Jun Ye didn’t mind his partner’s temporary distraction. He methodically guided Pythius into his rhythm, breaking down his defenses step by step.

When Jun Ye finally reached the sensitive area near the front of Pythius’s fish tail, he hesitated for only a second—just one.

“Ah!” Pythius’s startled cry rang out, the upward lilt of his voice breaking into a quivering pitch.

Jun Ye lay flat on his back afterward, one hand resting on his forehead as he contemplated life.

So… was he straight1Because that part of Pythius is not a butt…it’s a kitty cat lmao or not?

He couldn’t figure it out. Because it was Pythius—his partner—he had gone through with it without much mental resistance.

The sensation hadn’t been all that different from before. Pythius’s body had been cold at first but gradually warmed up. The only oddity was the translucent fish tail scales, which gave Jun Ye the unsettling impression that under brighter light, he might see himself inside…

His thoughts derailed, and no conclusion came2He literally didn’t come .

With a sigh, Jun Ye sat up, turned on the light, and scooped up the still-limp Pythius to carry him to the bathroom for cleaning.

Pythius, dazed, only snapped back to awareness after Jun Ye set him into the cool water of the tub.

“Why?” Pythius murmured, the memories of what had just transpired feeling almost dreamlike.

“What do you mean, why?” Jun Ye asked as he climbed into the tub and leaned down to meet Pythius’s gaze.

As Jun Ye began cleaning him with a towel, Pythius fidgeted, trying to suppress the strange sensations emanating from his tail. His voice dropped lower. “Why did you… want me?”

“Isn’t it what you wanted?” Jun Ye looked at him quizzically.

If it hadn’t been, why had Pythius been touching himself on the bed earlier?

“I…” No, I didn’t…

Facing Jun Ye’s straightforward gaze, Pythius found himself speechless.

When Jun Ye had touched his tail earlier, he had instinctively lifted it, completely unable to control his reaction.

Because you wanted it, so I gave it to you.

The thought made Pythius bury his face in his hands.

Why was Jun Ye so kind, so gentle? Even with his bizarre fish tail, even when it meant doing something Jun Ye might not enjoy…

As long as Pythius showed he wanted it, Jun Ye would indulge him.

How fortunate was he to be treated with such tenderness?

Jun Ye stopped wiping his tail, noting Pythius’s trembling shoulders. Was he crying?

Jun Ye prided himself on being neither rough during their intimacy nor careless while cleaning up afterward. Had his earlier response upset Pythius? Should he not have asked, “Isn’t it what you wanted?”

Setting aside the towel, Jun Ye reached out to pull Pythius into his arms.

The moment his hand touched Pythius’s shoulder, Pythius lunged forward, wrapping his arms tightly around Jun Ye instead.

What…?

An utterly bewildered Jun Ye found himself pressed against Pythius’s cool chest, too surprised to react.

“I’m sorry,” Pythius mumbled, his voice muffled.

This was the second time tonight Pythius had apologized. Jun Ye didn’t interrupt, waiting to hear what else he might say.

“I really love you,” Pythius whispered softly.

“Mm,” Jun Ye responded, encouraging him to continue.

“I’ll love you even more in the future,” Pythius added, as though making a solemn promise.

Jun Ye nodded. He already found Pythius’s affection ample, but if Pythius wanted to love him more, who was he to refuse?

“I’ll try my best to love you—with my body and my heart,” Pythius vowed, his pride as a “top” compelling him to reassure Jun Ye.

Jun Ye couldn’t help but feel the conversation was veering off track.

“Even though I like it when you… do that to me, you don’t have to accommodate me every time. If I can get my legs back, you can do it as often as you want. I’ll always make sure to take care of you properly,” Pythius said earnestly, his determination to excel as a “top” unwavering.

Jun Ye: “…”

Yes, the conversation had definitely gone off the rails.

Jun Ye patted Pythius’s shoulder to signal him to let go. Once free, he said, “I’m not accommodating you. I’ll admit that the position just now took some getting used to…”

He trailed off before adding with a faint smile, “But it wasn’t bad.”

Pythius blinked in surprise before interpreting the comment as Jun Ye’s way of comforting him.

Jun Ye was always so gentle. How could a “pure bottom” like him find topping enjoyable, especially when his partner had a fish tail?

Though Pythius had momentarily wavered at Jun Ye’s words—after all, he had enjoyed it immensely—his conscience wouldn’t let him keep pushing a “bottom” to act as a “top.”

While Pythius wrestled with guilt, Jun Ye efficiently finished cleaning him and carried him back to bed.

Seeing that Pythius was still lost in thought, Jun Ye sighed and said, “From now on, whether you want to top me or let me top you, let’s leave it to the moment. How does that sound?”

Pythius hesitated but eventually nodded. Since he couldn’t decide now, he’d leave the choice to his future self. When the time came, he’d know what to do.

Jun Ye pulled the blanket over them, reaching out to Pythius, who immediately rolled closer to him.

The warmth of Jun Ye’s embrace was comforting…

Pythius rested his head on Jun Ye’s shoulder, feeling the secure hold of his arms and the entanglement of their legs and tail.

A sense of contentment washed over him, bringing a relaxed smile to his face as he gradually drifted off to sleep.

So, uhm.. This is the end lol? The next three chapters left are extras, but so far, this is how the current act finishes… To be honest I’m really confused, there was so many plot points addressed just to be ignored, and even the system didn’t show itself and force Jun Ye to say bottom things…??? But oh well, just turn off your brains I guess ^^’

See you in the extras!
