DSF Chapter 115

Chapter 115: Showdown

There were two days of free time after the match.

Yan Yibing and Han Mo didn’t dare to wander around on their own after resting. Instead, they headed straight to Fifth Avenue, following Ding Luo closely, mimicking him as she picked gifts for their parents.

Yu Yan scorned them.

Yu Yan: “Is it appropriate for you two to join me and my girlfriend’s date?”

Yan Yibing sneered: “This is a date? Aren’t you just here to swipe your card for your girlfriend?”

Yu Yan: “You don’t understand anything. This is called romance. You don’t even have the chance to swipe your card for a girlfriend… or boyfriend.”

Han Mo frowned: “What kind of romance is this? We can all afford it.”

Yu Yan: “It’s about enhancing the relationship.”

Han Mo earnestly inquired: “Why?”

Ding Luo glanced back at Yu Yan: “Do your experiences need to be transmitted too?”

Yu Yan: “…”

Yan Yibing casually picked up a coat, looked around, and then turned to ask Ding Luo: “Sister-in-law, what did Yu Gou bring back with him that was accepted by your parents?”

Yu Yan: “Of course, it was a sincere heart.”

Ding Luo thought for a moment: “My parents couldn’t really accept anything he brought. It was mainly because I insisted on marrying him, and my parents couldn’t stop me.”

Yu Yan: “…”

Han Mo frowned: “Then what should we do?”

Han Mo found it even harder to bring it up because Yan Yibing’s parents treated him so well.

He knew Mama Yan had been worried about setting Yan Yibing up for blind dates, so the revelation of their relationship would be a blow to her.

He didn’t want to upset these two elders, but he couldn’t give up on Han Mo either.

Ding Luo: “Actually, there may still be a way. Back in high school, when my parents found out that Yu Yan and I were dating, they were almost driven crazy after we broke up and he was abducted to play esports. Especially my mom, she couldn’t even bear to see him. Later… I think the most effective method was to play the sympathy card. Parents are soft-hearted. After we lost that CNG match and were criticized online, my mom started to feel sorry for him. Maybe she also thought I loved him too much, so she tacitly accepted him as part of our family. Since then, my mom has never refused Yu Yan coming home with me.”

Yan Yibing pondered: “Playing… the sympathy card?”

Han Mo: “I’ve never been criticized all over the internet, so there’s nothing pitiful about me.”

Yan Yibing: “Hmm…”

Ding Luo: “My mom’s personality is one of extremes. Maybe the parents are different too, so you can’t directly apply it.”

This conversation temporarily came to an end. Ding Luo went to look at other clothes, but Yan Yibing noted down the advice.

They returned with bags full of items.

They bought a windbreaker and skincare products for Mama Yan, and a Canon lens for Papa Yan.

By the afternoon, they were quite free. Yan Yibing had already spent a day strolling the streets and didn’t feel like going out. They just swam in the hotel’s infinity pool for a while.

Han Mo had learned diving, and his swimming skills were quite solid, but he silently kept up with Yan Yibing, maintaining a similar speed as they leisurely circled around.

Leaning against the poolside, looking into the city, the water swayed, pushing the body gently against the glass edge.

Han Mo held Yan Yibing’s hand, not letting him get too close.

Yan Yibing’s face was dotted with water droplets, a smile glinting in his eyes. “Do you think I’m afraid?”

Han Mo shook his head. “I am.”

Yan Yibing raised an eyebrow, surprised. “But you’re not afraid of heights. When we rode the roller coaster at Disneyland, you didn’t react at all.”

Han Mo replied, “I didn’t have anything before, so I wasn’t afraid of anything. Now that I have everything, I occasionally worry too much.”

Stepping on the water, Yan Yibing walked over, cupping Han Mo’s face. “How could you have had nothing before? Am I not a good master to you when I trained you?”

Han Mo chuckled, rubbing Yan Yibing’s fingers. “You used to scold me all the time, and I didn’t really understand.”

“Tsk.” Yan Yibing uncomfortably shifted his gaze. “I can’t be bothered to scold anyone else.”

Han Mo said, “Well, I understand now. It was all for my own good. Let’s stop swimming and go back to the room. Master won the championship, and I still haven’t received my reward.”

Yan Yibing hesitated.

Han Mo tempted, “Master, don’t you want to? It’s been over half a month.”

Yan Yibing thought about it. After all, the process was enjoyable, but the aftermath was quite embarrassing.

“How about I take the top this time? We don’t need five or six times; I’ll let you off after two.” Yan Yibing held up two fingers in front of Han Mo.

Han Mo grabbed his fingers, shaking his head, and chuckled softly. “No, Master is already the world champion. You can’t back out.”

Yan Yibing narrowed his eyes and whispered, “Little beast, saying you can’t bear to see me tired, isn’t it just because you’ve fallen for me?”

Han Mo’s eyes gleamed black, unashamedly admitting, “Yes, I really like seeing Master in that state.”

Yan Yibing: “…”

They both returned to the room in an orderly manner. After taking off their swimming trunks, they eagerly embraced each other and headed into the bathroom.

Not long after, the bathroom was filled with steam and intermittent kissing sounds.

As the night fell peacefully, the top of the Empire State Building lit up with a charming blush.

Flying back from New York to China, Yan Yibing and Han Mo headed straight home from Pudong Airport.

This matter couldn’t be delayed any longer, as Mama Yan’s temper would only get worse the longer they delayed.

Han Mo was a little nervous. He had barely slept during the thirteen-hour flight, and he looked a bit tired and haggard.

On the way home, Yan Yibing kept messaging his mom.

“We’re back.”

“We’re out of the airport.”

“We’re heading home now. Are you there?”

“I’m taking Han Mo home with me.”

He sent many messages, but Mama Yan didn’t reply to any of them.

Yan Yibing sighed.

This was a sign of the cold war, and he was sure there would be a storm at home.

Han Mo turned his head and asked softly, “Auntie didn’t reply?”

Yan Yibing drooped his eyelids. “No, it means she hasn’t cooled down yet. You should rest for a while first. Don’t be so anxious. I’m here. After all, she’s my real mom. No matter how much she dislikes you, there’s nothing she can do about it.”

Han Mo shook his head. “I can’t sleep.”

Even though he couldn’t sleep, he drank highly concentrated coffee because he didn’t want to appear disoriented.

Now his nerves were excited, but his body was unusually tired.

When the car arrived at the residential area, they took down their suitcases and bags of gifts, and Yan Yibing opened the door.

The atmosphere inside the room was eerily heavy. As soon as Yan Yibing opened the door, he felt a chilly aura.

He hesitated for a moment before forcing himself to step inside.

Both Mama Yan and Papa Yan were there.

Mama Yan sat at the head of the European-style long table, her arms crossed and her left leg resting on her right leg in a very dignified posture.

However, her face seemed frosty, and a single glance from her had a chilling effect.

Papa Yan wore glasses and sat beside her, his brow slightly furrowed, remaining silent.

The atmosphere was akin to a struggle session about to begin.

Yan Yibing’s lips twitched as he tried to appear casual. “Mom, Dad, we’re back, and we brought gifts for you.”

With that, he gestured to the package in his hand.

Papa Yan nodded slightly in response.

Mama Yan didn’t even glance at the gifts, her tone short and cold as she said, “Sit down and talk.”

Seeing this, Han Mo pursed his lips into a thin line, lowered his head, and walked over to the seat farthest from Mama Yan and Papa Yan.

Just as Han Mo was about to sit down, Yan Yibing suddenly grabbed a throw pillow from the sofa and tossed it over.

Han Mo, with his keen ears, heard the wind behind him and instinctively caught it, puzzled.

This action startled Mama Yan and Papa Yan.

But Yan Yibing remained calm, walking over, taking the pillow, and placing it on Han Mo’s seat.

Han Mo looked at the pillow, then deeply at Yan Yibing.

Yan Yibing cleared his throat. “The chair is hard.”

Han Mo: “…”

Mama Yan: “…………….”

Only then did Mama Yan carefully examine Han Mo.

Han Mo’s tiredness couldn’t be alleviated by coffee.

There were dark circles under his eyes, and his eyelids, which were originally double-folded, had become single-folded due to swelling. Although he had shaved cleanly, his lips lacked their usual rosy color.

His jet-black hair softly fell over his forehead, concealing the emotions in his eyes, making him appear somewhat disheveled and weak.

He kept his head down, breathing almost imperceptibly.

Plus, he even needed a pillow to sit on.

Mama Yan was shocked, surprised, and angry, but she had nowhere to vent her anger and could only glare fiercely at Yan Yibing.

Yan Yibing could only force a smile.

Fine.

I’m okay.

Clearly, his muscles were sore from being fucked, and there was a dull pain behind him.

Both Mama Yan and Papa Yan were experienced people; they couldn’t possibly not understand the implications of sitting on a cushion.

The conversation fell into a deadlock for a moment.

Mama Yan glanced at Papa Yan, giving him a look that said, “You go first.”

Papa Yan pretended to adjust his glasses and, with a forced tone, said, “You must be tired.”

Han Mo didn’t say anything, bowing his head even lower.

Yan Yibing squeezed out a faint smile. “Yes, we’re tired. We’ve been on a thirteen-hour flight.”

Mama Yan tilted her head, continued to glare at Yan Yibing, and all the words in her heart seemed to emanate from her eyes—

“You’re tired and you don’t know how to control yourself? You’ve been on the plane for thirteen hours and you’re still up? Don’t you have anything else on your mind?”

Yan Yibing felt wronged but maintained a smile on his face. “Mom, please don’t be angry.”

Damn.

You should ask Han Mo about this matter!

A thirteen-hour flight and five fucking times a night!

If it weren’t for the good conditions in first class, my waist would be broken!

Seeing Mama Yan staring at him without saying a word, Papa Yan continued, “We’re not angry, it’s just that you kept this from us, and it’s hard for us to accept it all at once.”

Han Mo’s voice was hoarse as he murmured, “Sorry, it’s my fault.”

Papa Yan sighed. “It’s not that it’s your fault. The feelings themselves are not wrong, but you should have told us in advance instead of us finding out from the livestream. Now everyone we know is asking about it, and your mom doesn’t even dare to turn on her phone.”

Mama Yan continued to communicate with Yan Yibing through her eyes—

“Here I am, struggling to deal with relatives and friends, and there you are, having a blast these past two days!”

Yan Yibing’s eyebrows twitched.

So unfair!

He didn’t have a moment to spare!

His legs were about to fall off from all the shopping just to buy gifts, dealing with the kind inquiries from all the members of the Chinese team, and being pressed by Han Mo from the bathroom to the balcony on the last day!

Papa Yan frowned and looked at Yan Yibing. “Why aren’t you saying anything?”

Yan Yibing quickly lowered his gaze, no longer exchanging glances with Mama Yan.

“I was planning to tell you when I got back from the competition. The livestream was an accident, my phone got stuck, and I didn’t know it was still broadcasting.”

The conversation fell into silence again.

Aside from being angry, Papa Yan and Mama Yan didn’t know what to do.

Their traditional mindset made it difficult for them to accept Yan Yibing being with another man.

But after years of open and inclusive education, they felt that breaking up a relationship would be cruel.

Even though they were parents, their children’s love lives didn’t concern them much.

Especially when both parties were adults and chose their partners with their own free will, it was something worthy of respect.

If they could do this for other people’s children, there was no reason to demand more from their own.

Wait a minute.

Adult?!

Mama Yan slowly widened her eyes and couldn’t help but ask, “When did you guys start?”

Han Mo couldn’t throw all the responsibility onto Yan Yibing.

He said softly, “I’ve always liked Master, pursued Master. I went to the Zero training camp before because I watched his matches.”

Mama Yan took a deep breath, somewhat impatiently interrupting Han Mo.

“How old were you then?”

She looked at Yan Yibing again, with a complicated expression. “How old was Han Mo then? Seventeen? Sixteen and a half? You got involved before he even reached adulthood?”

Yan Yibing: “…”

Han Mo hurriedly explained, “No, Master didn’t like me at that time, it was just my secret crush. Later… we only got together last year.”

Yan Yibing helplessly said, “Mom, I’m not that kind of beast.”

Finding out that Yan Yibing didn’t have any issues with misconduct, Mama Yan breathed a slight sigh of relief.

Papa Yan tentatively suggested, “They both look too tired. Why don’t we let them rest first and talk tomorrow? Anyway, being angry won’t solve anything now that it’s already happened.”

Mama Yan fell silent for a moment.

Originally, she had been prepared to vent her anger when Yan Yibing and Han Mo returned.

But looking at Han Mo’s appearance, she couldn’t say anything anymore.

Now that it’s come to this, what else can we do? Not take responsibility?

She couldn’t bring herself to do such a thing.

Mama Yan: “Alright, you guys rest. I’m off to work now, out of sight, out of mind.”

Papa Yan quickly gave Yan Yibing a look. “Go on, go on, get some sleep.” After a moment, he added with a complex expression, “Just sleep, nothing else, rest.”

Yan Yibing: “…”

Dad, what do you take me for? A teddy bear?

Han Mo bit his lip, burying his head even lower.

But this time, it wasn’t out of shame, but rather a bit of a desire to laugh.

However, he held it in, as laughing at this moment would be inappropriate.

After the conversation ended, Mama Yan immediately left with her bag.

Papa Yan’s law firm also had matters to attend to, and the driver had been waiting outside for a while.

Now, there were only the two of them left at home.

Han Mo quickly got up from the cushion and leaned in to kiss Yan Yibing as if seeking forgiveness. “Sorry for troubling you, Master.”

Yan Yibing snorted.

Han Mo looked at him with innocent and pitiful eyes. “Let me give Master a massage. Flying for thirteen hours must be exhausting.”

Yan Yibing gave him a glance. “Cut it out, five times! You’re really something!”

Han Mo: “I was wrong.”
