Shan Ming’s original plan for raising his child was as simple as raising a dog. He wanted to just throw a blanket for him on the ground to sleep. But since he discovered that this kid was born to repel mosquitoes, Shan Ming put him next to him every night when he went to bed. Since then, he has never been harassed by mosquitoes at night.
The difference from before is that the child never took the initiative to climb up on him before going to bed anymore. He just occasionally would retract into his arms when he was feeling drowsy.
The hellish young life of Shen Changze officially began after Shan Ming recovered from his injury.
The valley they were in became an excellent field of hell. Shan Ming started to train a five-year-old child with the method of training an adult recruit. He was relentless.
In addition to overbearing physical training, the child also needed to learn a variety of other knowledge. They include fighting skills, the use of guns and weapons, knowledge of various types of ammunition, the direction of human meridians and the distribution of bones, common knowledge of various animals and plants, and all kinds of combat knowledge. In short, Shan Ming spared no effort to teach him how to kill an enemy.
Not only that, the child is required to memorise 200 English words every day. If he failed to do so, he would have no food.
Shan Ming found that the child was very smart. It took him only two weeks to master basic conversation in English. Under his stressful training, the child’s vocabulary improved by leaps and bounds. He was finally able to talk to the people around him.
A month later, Shan Ming assigned the task of educating him to several other people. These mercenaries had nothing to do before waiting for the next order from their client so they began to train him with Shan Ming.
Among these ‘teachers’, only Job and Pell were a little more gentle. Although Job always gave him a class with a bunch of disgusting bugs and Pell directly forced him to watch the dissection of a corpse, at least they wouldn’t punish the child if he did not complete the task. They still allowed him to eat even when the child had no appetite at all after their classes.
Among all the people, only the Boss and the man named Jim did not have any contact with Shen Changze at all. In fact, Ayer is the only one who can speak Chinese besides Shan Ming, but Ayer is not interested in talking to the child at all. Every time Ayer passes by the child, the child feels a little inferior because he is too short. So, maybe Ayer doesn’t even see him at all. As for Jim, whenever he gets close to him, Shan Ming will have a ferocious expression on his face. He showed an obvious killing intent. He was like a hen guarding her chick.
The child cried less and less because of exhaustion and grievances. He knew that tears are useless. So he might as well save some water in his body, lest Shan Ming suddenly rise up and ask him to do special hunger strike training.
When he woke up every day, what awaited him was intense physical training and countless kinds of strange knowledge. Shan Ming also arbitrarily used him like a servant. The child struggled to look for food and more rest time every day.
After staying in the temporary base for more than two months, Ayer suddenly called everyone to a meeting one day.
The child watched the adults enter the main tent. It was as if they were going to a company meeting. The child finally had a chance to catch his breath so he sneaked into the kitchen to eat some serious meal.
Ayer did call them all to have an important meeting.
There is finally news from the client. After letting them do nothing for three months, the client received a large order from Mexican drug dealers. This time the task was to transport two hundred catties of methamphetamine pills to the border of western Myanmar and Bangladesh. They should just escort them to cross the border and the Mexicans will take the drugs over. And their job would be done.
Bangladesh is a poor and underdeveloped country. There are various criminal activities going rampant. Every year, a large number of drugs and smuggled goods are transported by sea from there to all parts of the world.
Transportation is not a difficult problem since they have plenty of ways to avoid government forces. But this transaction involves the rivalry between drug lords in the Golden Triangle. Thus, this trip is definitely extremely dangerous. In order to seize the rivals, their client used a rather dark means to snatch drugs from Mexico which was a major client of another drug dealer. They are bound to be counterattacked during this trip.
A few months ago, they had lost three people because of a transaction with the same client. Ayer considered evacuating after the mission was over. After all, losing three people was not a small matter. Their mercenary regiment only had a total of fifty people.
Having a lot of members in a mercenary regiment can usually improve its prestige. But there are rare occurrences in the world where a mercenary regiment would seek quality over quantity and still have a very high reputation. They are this type of regiment. Mercenary regiments with hundreds or dozens of people have different types of clients. For example, Ayer would never take on the job of large-scale confrontation with any national government. Meanwhile, other mercenary regiments with hundreds of people usually took jobs within a fixed range. The business scope is definitely not as wide as theirs so the number and strength are not equal. But for a concentrated mercenary regiment like them, the death of a few people is indeed a big loss.
As a result, when the client heard that they wanted to leave, he immediately raised the salary and gave them a lot of advanced equipment. When Ayer saw a box of AK47 and Desert Eagle guns, he compromised to stay.
During the meeting, Ayer studied the map and discussed the battle plan with the main members of the regiment. The possibility of them being attacked in this section of the highway is almost zero. However, there are mountains covering an area of more than 30 kilometres near the border. They can only take the dirt road. It has been rainy in Myanmar recently. If it rains heavily that day and the car cannot go through, they may need to walk through the forest. If the opponent wants to attack, this is the best place for them to be attacked.
After talking about the issue of the road, they drew up a plan to divide their troops into three groups and advance in an equilateral triangle formation. That is where each side would take no more than 3 kilometres apart. Each group will carry an equal amount of methamphetamine pills and they would appear on the periphery of the enemy within five minutes to attack and rescue.
They planned that after sending the drugs to the border, their mission would be completed. So they plan to return to their base. Once they leave this place, they will never come back.
When the meeting was over, Ayer asked to speak with Shan Ming alone.
Shan Ming pointed at the map with a cigarette in his mouth, “I know what you’re going to ask. Isn’t it inconvenient to bring a child?”
“Of course, we are going to perform a mission now. This is not his training ground. No one has the energy to take care of him.”
“Let him stay close to Pell. Don’t worry. I will watch him whenever necessary. I won’t let him drag anyone down.”
Ayer nodded his head, “If he can return to the headquarters alive, I will give him official status as our regiment member.”
Shan Ming laughed and said, “Then, he is the youngest mercenary member in history.”
Ayer laughed along with him and said, “Yeah, surpassing your record. You were eight years old.”
Shan Ming puffed out a smoke ring. His eyes blurred because of his past memories, “Eight years old… When I was adopted by our father, I was about the same age as him. But at that time, I had already killed someone.”
Ayer ruffled his hair and said, “You are destined to be here. And it may not be a bad thing.”
Shan Ming was stunned for a moment before he laughed aloud, “Of course it’s a good thing. I’m glad I killed that bastard.”
Ayer only looked back at him with a gentle smile.
When Shan Ming returned to his tent, the child was already fast asleep with his bulging belly.
Their battle meeting is equivalent to giving the child half a day off. At this time, if he didn’t take the chance to eat enough, drink enough and sleep enough, when will he have another chance?
The child’s fleshy calf was drooping down from the bed while his hand was still touching his stomach. He was sleeping very soundly.
Shan Ming walked over and squatted down by the bed, looking at him with interest.
Although he has not seen many good-looking little boys before, Shen Changze is definitely rare and beautiful. His facial features are exquisite like a doll. His big eyes occupy almost half of his face. His skin is fair and tender. His hair is black and soft. No wonder Jim salivated like a lost soul every time he looked at him.
Thinking of Jim’s desire for the child, Shan Ming felt sick. Although he knew of Jim’s bad deeds before, he had never seen it with his own eyes. Moreover, the mercenary regiment had strict regulations. Even though he hated Jim, he never publicly provoked him. But now thinking of the way Jim looked at Shen Changze, Shan Ming began to seriously consider getting rid of Jim on this trip.
Shan Ming couldn’t stand Jim looking at the child with such a sinister and perverted look. If Jim dared to touch the child, Shan Ming would definitely castrate him on the spot.
Thinking of leaving this place the next day and embarking on a dangerous journey, Shan Ming rarely kindly planned to let the child sleep well.
He picked up the child’s short legs and put them on the bed. He then rolled over and lay down next to the child.
In the middle of the night, Shan Ming felt someone was walking outside his tent so he opened his eyes out of a sudden.
In the next second, Pell’s deliberately lowered voice sounded outside the tent, “Shan, are you asleep?”
Shan Ming passed by the child and got off the bed. He said softly, “I’m coming.”
The child moved a little, but he didn’t seem to wake up.
Shan Ming walked out of the tent and saw Pell standing in front of him wearing only a thin silk pyjamas. Her plump breasts were looming in it.
Shan Ming received the cue. So he put his arms around her waist and said softly: “Honey, can’t sleep?”
Pell grabbed his shoulders and said softly: “You’re leaving tomorrow. You’ve been back for more than two months, but we can’t even find a single time to spend together. All of your time is given to another beauty on board.”
Shan Ming laughed and said, “I slept very soundly with him. Do you know that he can drive away mosquitoes?”
Pell lightly kissed the corner of his lips, “I don’t believe it…” She rubbed her body against Shan Ming, “I miss you very much.”
Shan Ming reached into her pyjamas and stroked her smooth skin, “You can go to Ayer.”
Pell smiled slightly, “Ayer is Ayer. You are you. The pleasure you give me is different.”
Shan Ming pressed her down on the grass. His breathing became heavy, “What’s the difference?”
“Give it to me and you’ll know…”
The child was awakened by the strange movement but saw that there was no one around him. He felt a little nervous. He jumped off the bed in order to see if Shan Ming was outside. But the closer he got to the curtain of the tent, the weird sound became clearer. It was as if someone was gasping for breath outside of the tent. He carefully opened a slit and saw Shan Ming pressing on Pell on the grass outside the tent. Both of them were naked. They were kissing fiercely and their bodies were tightly entangled.
The child’s eyes widened. Although he didn’t quite understand what they were doing, he still felt an inexplicable sense of shame.
His eyes were fixed on Shan Ming’s slender thighs. Shan Ming’s slim but very powerful waist kept shaking.
The child was too young so his concept of beauty was still very vague. But at that moment, he still thought that Shan Ming’s body was very beautiful. Those slender and powerful limbs. His smooth and firm muscles. There is no part of him that does not exude vigorous vitality and indescribable beauty.
The child gradually felt that his heart was pounding wildly. He knew that he was doing something forbidden. He knew that it was shameful. But he couldn’t take his eyes off his foster father’s body. He just thought it looked good and he was just curious about what they were doing.
Shan Ming’s handsome side face was dripping with sweat. It left an indelible memory in the child’s heart.
