Xun Qian had just pulled back his chair and stood up when White-browed Hero followed with a grunt and rose from the ground.
He climbed too fast and even twisted his hind legs before fully standing up.
Xun Qian walked towards him.
White-browed Hero stepped back, and the chewing ball fell out of his mouth and fell to the ground. He wanted to take a few steps forward to pick up the toy, but seeing Xun Qian, he didn’t dare to move forward.
Xun Qian waved at him, “Come here.”
White-browed Hero shook his tail and barked at him twice; his two white eyebrows on his forehead were tightly furrowed, and his four paws were stomping on the spot, looking very anxious and confused.
Xun Qian was too lazy to coax this stupid dog and just took long strides toward him.
“Woof woof!” White-browed Hero pretended to bark fiercely twice, and when he saw that he couldn’t stop Xun Qian’s actions, he finally realized the danger, turned his butt around, and ran out of the door.
When Xun Qian chased him to the door, White-browed Hero had already spread his claws and rushed to the other end of the corridor like the wind.
Xun Qian shouted, “Stop!”
How dare White-browed Hero stop after hearing this tone?
He’s not stupid.
The only problem now is that he ran too fast and couldn’t stop, almost missing the stairs and hitting the wall at the end.
Fortunately, his hind legs were strong enough to stop in time, twisting his fat body and running downstairs flexibly, with four paws so fast that they almost didn’t touch the ground.
When Xun Qian arrived at the stairs, the dog had already gone down to the first floor.
In the living room, Butler Cheng was watching the servants sorting things out.
White-browed Hero fled to the living room, saw Butler Cheng, and pounced on him as if he saw his savior, hugging Butler Cheng’s thighs tightly.
Xun Qian gave an order while standing on the stairs, “Catch him.”
Butler Cheng was stunned for a moment, not knowing what was going on.
White-browed Hero was also stunned for a moment and shouted in resistance towards the stairs. But then he sadly discovered that Butler Cheng wasn’t one of his own either!
Before Butler Cheng reached out to grab him, he loosened his claws first and ran to the center of the living room, keeping a proper distance from everyone.
Xun Qian had already come downstairs. Butler Cheng and the servants all stopped what they were doing to look at White-browed Hero, but no one helped him.
White-browed Hero let out a cry of grievance from his throat. He didn’t even understand what he had done wrong. He was playing with toys in the room so obediently. Why was he suddenly treated like this?!
But it was no use feeling wrong. When Xun Qian arrived in the living room, everyone else smiled and made way for him.
White-browed Hero felt so wronged that he turned around in a circle and found that the only place to hide was under the sofa.
He couldn’t care less. He used the speed of a 100-meter sprint to break through the crowd and ran straight to the sofa, regardless of how much space there was under the sofa. Anyway… his head was in.
It was a little crowded under the sofa, and the horizontal bar on top of it is squeezing his head and back a little, but he doesn’t dare move; he doesn’t even dare close his eyes. It seems dangerous out there.
He heard footsteps coming towards him.
Xun Qian looked at the shivering half of the dog’s butt exposed outside the sofa and wanted to laugh a little, but when he thought about him eating even the cards, he got angry again. “Just let him stay here, and if he dares to come out, lock him up in the balcony.”
Butler Cheng felt sorry for White-browed Hero, but he looked really funny. Hearing what Xun Qian said, he could only hold back his laughter and agreed, “Yes.”
“Ask the driver to get ready; I’m going out.” After saying that, Xun Qian turned and went upstairs. Before going upstairs, he couldn’t help but kick the round dog’s butt.
White-browed Hero trembled with fear, whimpering, not daring to move.

Xun Qian went upstairs and went straight to the cloakroom. He picked out a brand new dark gray plaid suit and put it on. He also prepared a watch, tie, and perfume.
Qi Xiaoyu in the live broadcast room, with red ears, shyness, and a slight sense of loss, was so cute and charming that he had to bring him back and pamper him.
He straightened his sleeves as he headed downstairs, his brand new brogue leather shoes and suit pants framing his long legs.
He passed by the living room, glanced at White-browed Hero, who was still hiding under the sofa, snorted, and chuckled while walking out.
Butler Cheng guessed that he was most likely going to find Qi Xiaoyu, so he quickly pushed the wheelchair and followed him. “Third Master, you forgot the wheelchair.”
Xun Qian had already reached the door and walked down the steps, “No need.”
When he got in the car, he took out his cell phone and checked Qi Xiaoyu’s itinerary. The interview was over, and the next destination should be Changle Road, so he asked the driver to drive directly to the Fountain Restaurant.
****
After the interview, Qi Xiaoyu was delayed for a while before contacting Xue Qingchu.
The staff in the interview room asked him for pictures, which took some time.
He asked the driver to pick up Xue Qingchu first and then go to the Fountain Restaurant together. In the car, he sent a message to Xun Qian asking him if he had gone to the hospital for rehabilitation, but there was no response.
He sent another message to Butler Cheng, who replied ambiguously, “The Third Master has already gone out.”
Qi Xiaoyu didn’t take it to heart, assuming that Xun Qian had gone to the hospital. Next, he sent a message to Jiang Sicheng, telling him that he was going to pick up Xue Qingchu and leave together.
Jiang Sicheng replied with several exclamation marks and then disappeared, probably to make the final sprint preparations.
Qi Xiaoyu waited downstairs for a while. Considering that today was the day for the proposal, when he made the appointment, he deliberately emphasized that they might take pictures.
When Xue Qingchu appeared, she was dressed very elegantly. She wore a black high-necked lace dress inside and a khaki long windbreaker outside, paired with nude pointed high heels and curly hair, more mature than when she first met Qi Xiaoyu.
After getting in the car, Xue Qingchu gathered her skirt and asked, “Why did you think of asking me to have dinner there?”
It’s quite a long way from the interview place to Xue Qingchu’s house and then to Changle Road.
Qi Xiaoyu very solemnly found a suitable reason: “The director said that there’s a similar scene next week, so I want to ask you to adapt first and practice the lines.”
The two chatted for a while in the car, and soon, the tall and old sycamore trees on Changle Road appeared in front of them.
Just as Xun Qian knew, Changle Road is famous for its aesthetic and romance. In late autumn, the sycamore trees are full of yellow leaves, interspersed with a few ginkgo trees. From the sky to the ground, it’s a golden world.
On the lawn that separates the café and restaurant, groups of picnickers sit in twos and threes under the near-dusk sun.
The Fountain Restaurant at the end of Changle Road is a famous place for marriage proposals in this city.
Many girls dream of being confessed to by their prince charming there, to receive roses and diamond rings in the romantic atmosphere woven by music and fountain, and to be enveloped and pampered by the halo like a little princess.
Of course, such a place is not cheap.
The average cost of having afternoon tea here is over 400 yuan.
Qi Xiaoyu helped Xue Qingchu open the car door very gentlemanly and got out together.
There were people on the side of the road looking over in their direction, but the two of them quickly made their way across a stretch of lawn and a small fountain to the entrance of the restaurant.
The waiter in a white shirt and black vest opened the frosted glass door for the two of them.
Xue Qingchu turned her head and said to Qi Xiaoyu, “It’s better to leave through the side entrance later. It wouldn’t be good if someone took a picture of us eating privately…”
She settled back on her feet before the words were spoken, her head still held in a slightly tilted over position, but her gaze was fixed.
Laughter, music, and cheer all at once exploded in the otherwise silent restaurant after they both entered.
In the huge restaurant, white balloons were floating all over the ceiling, and the white rose-shaped cake exuded the aroma of cream.
On the stage, the band was playing a love song called “I swear”.
Outside a whole glass wall, high and low fountains rose and fell, changing various postures.
Jiang Sicheng invited many people to the scene, including his own friends, Xue Qingchu’s friends, and friends who recorded “Eat Light on the Road” together at that time.
At this time, everyone welcomed the arrival of the protagonist with laughter.
Qi Xiaoyu very tactfully stepped aside, standing next to Gu Meiling and Lu Tongtong, joining the audience. They watched as Jiang Sicheng opened a huge white cardboard box, and strings of white hydrogen balloons with gold glitters rushed out like snow-white doves, and dangling from the bottom was a sky-blue ring box.
Jiang Sicheng donned a white suit today. When he was reaching out for the box flying in mid-air, his fingers trembled so much that he missed it a few before managing to grab it, which attracted a burst of laughter from the onlookers.
He lowered his head and laughed foolishly a few times, not daring to look up at Xue Qingchu. With the ring box grasped tightly in his hand, he knelt on one knee and opened it in front of Xue Qingchu just like a prince charming, “Will you marry me?”
Having been used to seeing Jiang Sicheng’s usual frivolous side, it was a bit uncomfortable to suddenly see him like this.
The whole room held their breath. Gu Meiling and Lu Tongtong, who were standing next to Qi Xiaoyu, whispered and let out light envious giggles.
There were pink bubbles everywhere.
Qi Xiaoyu also had mixed feelings in his heart. Some were moved, and some were envious. In this mixed feeling of moving and envy, the first person he thought of was his senior sister, and the second person he thought of was Xun Qian.
The music on the stage changed to “The Most Romantic Thing”.
The song was soft and, as the title hinted, romantic.
In the center of the restaurant, the ring was already on Xue Qingchu’s finger.
Everyone sang the same song.
The most romantic thing I can think of is to grow old with you.
Amid the singing, the door was pushed open, and a man walked in.
Plaid suit, black thin turtleneck sweater, and trousers of the same color.
Slender figure, cold, and handsome.
He seemed to be walking casually, but with an aura that no one could ignore.
Even if the whole place was full of people wearing black suits, he was the most unique.
All eyes shifted from the male and female protagonists of today’s event.
Gu Meiling bumped Qi Xiaoyu with her shoulder. “Look, who is that?”
The music was still playing, and the singing was still going on.
Xun Qian had a smile on his lips. Against the backdrop of the snowy white sky and earth, his eyelashes were like crow wings, and his eyes were full of stars.
He walked straight over, took Qi Xiaoyu’s hand, and then, under everyone’s eyes, pulled him outside.
Qi Xiaoyu was stunned.
The people behind him exclaimed, “Who is he? He looks so handsome!”
“Who else dares to pull Qi Xiaoyu out like that?”
“Is it really him?”
“It should be. I heard from people who attended Mao Chi’s birthday party that Third Master Xun is very handsome.”
“But isn’t he in a wheelchair?”
Qi Xiaoyu remained frozen, hearing nothing.
Are Xun Qian’s legs healed?
Xun Qian can actually stand up and walk?
Dumbfounded, he was pulled out by Xun Qian and stepped over the threshold. When passing by the fountain, fine water droplets splashed beside his cheeks.
As he approached Maybach, Qi Xiaoyu accidentally sprained his foot while descending the stairs.
He was still stunned and forgot the pain for a while.
Xun Qian discovered it in time. He kneeled down, scooped Qi Xiaoyu up in a princess carry, and carried him to the car, right in front of everyone, under the soft autumn sky.
