TL: Moonlit
Happy Birthday to meee~ Yeeeey! \(^O^)/
Imperial Capital Star, Space Safety Detection Gate. A certain worker, who was staring at the monitoring star chart, suddenly exclaimed and hurriedly reported to the higher-ups: “We’ve detected an unidentified mech rapidly approaching the atmosphere of Imperial Capital Star. The mech appears to be equipped with high-energy weaponry, with danger level marked at 80%.”
The higher-ups were shocked upon receiving the report and were about to contact the Space Defense Department for interception when they focused their gaze on the enlarged detection image sent by their subordinate.
The Minister of the Detection Department was taken aback, “Isn’t this General Jing’s mech?”
Three minutes later.
A silver-black combat mech violently broke through the defense layer of Imperial Capital Star, shooting like a cannonball towards the Marshal’s Mansion and crashing into the garden.
Due to the sustained high speed, even the S-class mech couldn’t avoid becoming red-hot from friction. After the silver-black mech landed, the moisture in the air came into contact with the heated surface, instantly producing a burst of white mist.
The mech’s cockpit hatch was forcibly pushed open, and a tall man with blond hair and green eyes stepped out.
The man was wearing a high-ranking officer’s military combat suit, with green bloodstains on his broad shoulders and long legs. His every move exuded battlefield aggression, but at this moment, a trace of hidden anxiety appeared on his cold and handsome face.
The gardener who had been trimming branches in the garden was startled by the appearance of the mech. When he saw the man, he quickly approached and said, “Second Young Master, Master, Madam, and the Eldest Young Master have gone to the Imperial Capital Central Hospital!”
Jing Xing hurried his steps, and his sharp blue eyes looked at the gardener, suddenly asking, “Xiao Nian, how is he?”
Only then did he realize that his voice was dry and unnatural, but he didn’t even consider the need for a drink and continued to gaze at the gardener.
The gardener, under the man’s intense gaze, felt his legs go weak, but thinking about the young master lying in the hospital, he found the courage to tremble and replied, “We still don’t know… the result.”
Upon hearing this, Jing Xing decisively headed to the garage, and after a moment, a ground car shot out.
The gardener looked worriedly at the departing car in the distance, thinking about the pitiful young man who would always stand by the window lost in thought. He sincerely prayed, “I hope Young Master is safe.”
—
Inside the eggshell, violent shaking occurred again, like being inside a swinging pendulum. Jing Nian held onto the baby dragon, almost being thrown out, and guessed that they were being handed over from one giant dragon’s palm to another.
At this moment, deafening dragon roars came from outside the eggshell.
Jing Nian felt something was amiss, but seeing the excited expression of the baby dragon, he held his breath and temporarily relaxed. It seemed to be a routine procedure.
Who knew that in the next moment, the dragon egg was suddenly thrown up, but this time, it was different from the previous shaking. Both of them inside the egg were thrown up, and their backs completely left the eggshell.
Jing Nian quickly used one hand to protect the baby dragon tightly, while the other hand randomly grabbed inside the oval-shaped eggshell, trying to stabilize himself. However, he couldn’t find any point to exert force, so he could only helplessly use his body to protect the little dragon that was still excitedly wiggling around.
Just when Jing Nian closed his eyes and prayed that the dragon egg wouldn’t fall onto something sharp or rigid, the falling egg was suddenly caught by a gentle force.
Jing Nian opened his eyes.
“Ao wu, Ao wu~” The little dragon in his arms recognized the giant dragon outside and immediately became excited, howling loudly.
“There’s only me here,” Jing Nian muttered to himself. He nervously held his breath and didn’t dare to move at all.
Because through the light, he could sense that the giant dragon who caught the dragon egg was even more formidable than the two before!
Feeling the movements of the two dragon souls in the warm dragon egg, an elder dragon named Hesse had a slightly silly smile on his wrinkled dragon face.
As expected!
Just now, when the dragon egg was thrown out, he had sensed the presence of the second young master!
Unfortunately, the moment he grasped the dragon egg, the second young master immediately concealed himself.
Old Hesse sighed in his heart. It seemed that the second young master was quite timid. But considering the rumors about the dragon clan’s double yolk egg, Old Hesse felt it was understandable and even felt sorry for them.
After all, from the moment they were born, they lived in fear of being absorbed by their siblings.
Now, it was normal for them to be wary of these old dragons.
In the dragon clan, strength was respected, but before they grew up, the hatchlings were all considered precious dragon eggs, and there was no distinction between strong and weak. Each of them was a treasure to the dragon clan before they matured, so Old Hesse couldn’t help but feel more affectionate towards the second young master.
Old Hesse raised his heavy claws and gently tapped the dragon eggshell.
The excited little dragon immediately extended its still-soft claws and patted the eggshell, then turned its head to look at Jing Nian, finding that he had no response.
The little dragon looked puzzled, glancing from his arm to his fair and beautiful fingers.
The nails were neatly trimmed.
Therefore, a trace of sympathy appeared in the little dragon’s eyes when looking at Jing Nian.
But Jing Nian completely ignored the little dragon’s gaze.
He curled up his body in terror, feeling weak, pitiful, and helpless. He dared not make any sound and could only scream in his heart: Help! This giant dragon is actually tapping the eggshell with his claw!!!
He knew that some avian species would help crack the eggshell when the hatchlings were born, so they could come out sooner.
Could it be that the little dragon had also reached the age to break the shell?!
Jing Nian’s vision darkened, and he couldn’t help but worry that when the giant dragons cracked open the eggshell and found him inside… would they eat him?
—
On the old dragon’s face, the silly smile appeared again. After waiting for a moment without getting a response, he felt somewhat disappointed. He then put away the silly smile since, as an elder dragon, he needed to maintain his dignity and couldn’t let the younger dragons see his foolish side.
So, when everyone looked at the elder dragon Hesse after he turned around, they only saw a serious expression on his face.
At once, they couldn’t help but take a step forward, their eyes bright and eager, all looking at the dragon egg in the hands of the old dragon.
These are their two young masters!
Two of them!
The younger dragons present almost couldn’t contain their excitement, nearly flapping their wings and howling in joy, but they were fortunate to be stopped by the stern gaze of Old Hesse.
When they thought of the second young master, the giant dragons immediately caught their breath, suppressing their excitement.
“Duangduangduang…” After intentionally slowing down but still creating earth-shaking footsteps.
Old Hesse led the group of giant dragons to the Dragon Blood Pool… with a small blood pool that was intentionally drained with a special structure.
The blood pool was excavated into a smooth oval shape, just slightly larger than the dragon egg. Old Hesse gently placed the dragon egg into the small pool, and then he lightly tapped the pointed end of the egg with his claw.
“$#@*…” After a mysterious incantation in the dragon language.
The excited little dragon heard a soft voice in its ear, “Respected young master, please do not tell your younger brother that we have discovered him unless he decides to reveal himself to us.”
Withdrawing his claw, Hesse used his eyes to drive the eager and silly giant dragons out of the Dragon Blood Pool to stand guard.
Only then did he approach the large blood pool, open a mechanism leading to the small pool, and the scorching Holy Dragon’s blood rushed through a small channel and flowed into the small pool.
It wasn’t until the blood covered more than half of the dragon egg that Hesse closed the mechanism.
Before leaving, Hesse couldn’t help but, while no one noticed, secretly spread his wings and sneakily approached the dragon egg. He used the tip of his sharp claw to gently tap the egg.
The little dragon, who was already excited due to the double dragon blood today, quickly extended its soft little claw to respond to the tapping.
After the response, the little dragon’s round eyes turned and looked at the handsome blond and blue-eyed youth beside it. It tilted its head, pondered for a moment, and then switched to its other paw and pressed it against the eggshell.
Feeling the second response, Old Hesse’s wrinkled dragon face once again revealed a silly smile.
The first young master was indeed adorable. Seeing that his brother didn’t want to respond to him, he actually used his other claw to pretend to be his brother and comfort himself.
Their brotherly love was probably the reason why the two yolks both survived.
As Old Hesse walked around the Dragon Blood Pool, he seemed to be floating, and he could hardly contain the silly smile, losing his dignity.
Sensing that all the giant dragons had left, Jing Nian finally let out a sigh of relief.
Feeling the continuous flow of heat from the eggshell into his body and seeing the unusually excited state of the little dragon, Jing Nian probably guessed that they were now placed in a place specifically for nurturing dragon eggs.
But he didn’t expect that his presence would absorb the nutrients that should have belonged to the little dragon.
Jing Nian gently touched the soft horn of the little dragon and said in a warm voice, “I’m sorry, it seems I absorbed your nutrients.”
Jing Nian’s light blue eyes looked apologetically at the little dragon, and he suddenly noticed that the heat flow behind it actually had colors and was flowing. Subconsciously, he turned his head and found that the heat flow behind him was much weaker, which immediately relieved him.
It seemed that he hadn’t taken away too much nutrition from the little dragon.
However, the little dragon that was initially unwilling to share even the eggshell was now looking at Jing Nian with great willingness.
Jing Nian couldn’t help but feel moved. Has he already been accepted by the little dragon?
“Awu!” Suddenly, the little dragon called out to Jing Nian, and its round eyes carefully observed him, then it curved noticeably.
It was a big smile.
Seeing this, Jing Nian couldn’t help but smile too.
The next moment, he was suddenly held by the soft dragon claw of the little dragon. Looking at the other claw that was raised towards him, Jing Nian didn’t understand and used his other hand to catch it, but the little dragon dodged away.
After dodging, the soft dragon claw continued to raise towards him.
Jing Nian: ?
Seeing that Jing Nian still didn’t understand, the little dragon let out a sigh and then climbed into his embrace.
Jing Nian quickly hugged the little dragon, but he was then patted on the arm, indicating that he should let go.
Not knowing what the little dragon wanted to do, Jing Nian had no choice but to release his hold, allowing the little dragon to laboriously climb onto him. He tried to lift the little dragon’s bottom, and finally, the little dragon reached the position it wanted. It stepped on Jing Nian’s shoulder and hugged his head, then its dragon claw pressed against Jing Nian’s forehead.
“Ji li gu lu…” After a moment of immature and indistinct baby-like sounds.
Jing Nian felt the heat flow behind him suddenly surge and become scorching, but he didn’t feel discomfort; instead, he experienced a comfortable intoxication. He could even sense his own weak body, due to genetic defects, becoming stronger.
After being intoxicated for a moment, Jing Nian remembered the strange incantation the little dragon had just recited and what he didn’t understand.
It turned out that the little dragon was helping him!
This was the little dragon’s nutrition, how could he use it!
Jing Nian immediately wanted to take the little dragon down, but the next moment, he heard a soft, baby-like muttering in his ear.
“Younger… Brother… Stupid… Stupid…”
Jing Nian was stunned.
The little dragon’s pronunciation was still unclear in the dragon language, but he understood!
The author has something to say:
Jing Nian: …I treat you as my son, and you treat me as your younger brother???
The next chapter will be out soon. Sending love~ ❤️
