Two people, one black and one white, were thrown into the dragon’s lair by the giant dragon Chi Yan. When they saw the strong dragons of the dragon clan, the first words they uttered were:
—”Foreign guests from outside the boundary will destroy the Dragon Clan.”
Although the dragons held disdain for the other beings on the Grans continent, if these words originated from the gods of light and darkness…
The dragons all emitted a contemptuous snort, but they didn’t say anything and instead waited quietly for what the two would say next.
Almost in unison, the two spoke: “The creatures of the continent shall become puppets, a new ruler will occupy the land, and the only hope lies within the dragon lineage…”
Hearing this, the dragons unconsciously raised their heads and puffed up their chests.
“The gods of darkness/light hope to forge an eternal pact with the young lords of the dragon clan, to jointly resist the future calamities of the Grans continent.”
As they spoke, both of them opened a prophecy crystal ball.
The scenes from both prophecies appeared before the eyes of the dragons simultaneously.
***
Throughout the land, various calamities struck, leaving the inhabitants in misery.
All of this was caused by a group of seemingly ordinary outsiders, who were cruel, heartless, and malevolent. They ravaged every corner of the continent, an endless onslaught that couldn’t be stopped, for they could die and be reborn.
The outsiders were synonymous with demons.
The scene shifted to the abyss canyon, which turned into ruins piled up with huge rocks. Dragons were either slaughtered or turned into puppets and became the accomplices of outsiders. Unidentifiable figures of outsiders trampled over dragons, soaring across the continent, intensifying the chaos and destruction.
The last person, wielding a purple-gold demonic blade, stepped on a majestic silver-white dragon in golden armor exuding the aura of a king.
***
The dragons’ eyes widened in disbelief!
Although the dragons had never seen what their young lords would look like when they grew up, the moment they saw this dragon, they recognized him!
This was their future Dragon Lord!
Sensing the dragons’ anger, the two figures exchanged a glance and each retrieved a runic crystal from their cloaks.
One crystal was pure white and exuded a sacred life essence—it was the Light Crystal, a conduit to communicate with the god of light. Only one existed.
The other crystal was pitch-black and mysterious, radiating a dense aura of death—it was the Dark Crystal, a conduit to communicate with the god of darkness. Only one existed.
However, both crystals emitted an identical special aura—one that caught the attention of the dragons.
—The scent of an incomplete contract.
The moment they detected the contracts, the elder dragon Hesse and several elder dragons behind him were all infuriated!
They had initially assumed that these two so-called false gods had foreseen the current situation of the dragon clan’s young lords. Even if their proposed solution was useless, they wouldn’t dare venture deep into the dragon’s nest with ill intent.
But they never expected them to dare covet the dragon eggs!
“Roar—”, “Roar—”, “Roar—”…
One after another, the roar of the dragon resounded through the Lost Forest. The birds and beasts were frightened and fled in all directions, and all the nearby tribes were greatly frightened.
The wrath of the dragons was most keenly felt by the two individuals standing in the midst of the turmoil. Bursting elemental forces were engulfed by scorching dragon breath, causing varying degrees of damage to their cloaks. These two, individuals of high status within their respective factions, found themselves in disarray.
But both of them came with a mission. Although they were aware of the anger of the dragons, they didn’t mean to give up.
The tattered white robe of the High Priest of Light bore a golden compass, and he chanted a spell to suppress the riotous elemental forces around him.
On the other side, the shattered black robe of the Undead Great Lich revealed a decaying skeletal form. He wielded his staff to summon undead creatures that gnawed on the surrounding unruly elemental forces.
Suddenly, the two opposing figures, now in a defensive stance, turned their heads simultaneously towards a direction, their eyes showing a hint of astonishment and suspicion. But the next moment, they both opened their mouths in unison, preparing to say something to detain the dragons.
In the midst of his burning anger, Hesse had a moment of insight. Something was off about these two!
The Undead Great Lich and the High Priest of Light, leaders of the Undead Temple and the Temple of Light that stood almost on par with the dragon lineage for many years—how could they be so weak!
No, it was after they crossed the Abyss that they both became weaker!
Hesse quickly roared, commanding a group of dragons whose anger had escalated to uncontrollable roars, causing one of them to watch the two figures as the rest followed the dragons’ wings and flew towards the nest where the Dragon’s Blood Pool was located.
–
The terrifying roars of dragons echoing from afar startled Jing Nian, who was about to let out a scream within the eggshell.
Simultaneously, the little dragon hatchling in his arms, absorbed in its focused state, was also awakened. Jing Nian quickly covered the little dragon cub’s mouth which was about to “babble”.
Seeing that the shadows of the two egg thieves were approaching, Jing Nian suppressed his beating heart and waited.
Soon, the eggshell was shaken by the vibration of the ground.
Feeling the heavy footsteps and the “Duang, duang, duang,” that sounded more chaotic and rapid than usual, Jing Nian breathed a sigh of relief and collapsed completely within the eggshell.
The dragons had discovered the egg thieves!
All was safe.
The dragons rushed to the Dragon’s Blood Pool in haste. Upon seeing the two identical figures in black and white cloaks beside the dragon egg, as well as the ones conversing with them in another nest, their eyes were filled with rage.
Apart from Hesse, the other dragons finally realized the scheming of these two individuals!
The proposal for trade was just a tactic to buy time. As it turned out, both of them intended to secretly establish a covenant with the dragon egg through force!
The two surrounded individuals wore triumphant smiles simultaneously amidst the encircling dragons.
The person in the white robe held a silver skull staff, while the person in the black robe held a golden compass. They exchanged a glance and infused their respective artifacts with the full force of elemental power.
They actually gave up defending against the attacks of the dragons behind them.
Seeing this scene, the dragons, who had been cautious due to the presence of the dragon egg, were furious. Several dragons lost control due to excessive excitement. Their elemental forces exploded within the Holy Dragon’s Blood Pool, causing the entire structure of the dragon’s nest embedded in the mountain to collapse in an instant.
The dragon egg was propelled by the collapse of the cave and was sent flying by the falling debris.
The two spellcasting individuals were directly hit by the bursting elemental forces and flying rocks. Before they even hit the ground, they were fixed in the glare of several enraged dragons. Amidst the chaos, a smaller-sized young dragon quickly caught the egg that was about to be launched into the air due to its loosened grip.
However, before it could celebrate, it was struck by a burst of elemental power-infused rock, causing it to release its grasp, and the dragon egg flew out again.
Apart from the two dragons that held the thieves captive, all the other dragons in the collapsing cave began frantically digging to retrieve the dragon egg. The more they dug, the more severe the collapse of the mountain became, and the more rocks and bursting elemental forces emerged.
After a series of ups and downs, the dragon egg experienced bumps and stumbles, eventually emitting a faint “plop” sound as it dropped into the cave. Thanks to a special enchantment, it fell directly into the last remaining intact Dragon’s Blood Pool.
Inside the dragon egg, Jing Nian tightly clutched the little dragon hatchling as they were subjected to a turbulent roller coaster ride of 360-degree flips. All thoughts of secrets and evasive maneuvers vanished.
As the egg dropped into the water, Jing Nian felt the inertia carry it deeper. It continued sinking until it hit the bottom of the pool, causing the eggshell to collide with the ground and produce a soft “crack” sound.
Upon hearing the sound of the eggshell breaking, Jing Nian was still too overwhelmed to panic. The next moment, he felt a familiar sensation of dizziness.
It was the dizziness experienced when transitioning between virtual and reality in a holographic game!
Excitement overtook panic!
However, before a smile could spread across his face, he completely blacked out.

“We’ve captured the login information!”
A technician with heavy dark circles under his eyes stood up and swayed his body. He struggled to lift himself up, excitedly tapped the table, and hoarsely announced.
“We’ve captured the login information for Beta Tester No. 07!”
After saying this, his face, pale from working through the night, flushed with disbelief. His eyes seemed to be in a dream.
A tall, stern man pushed aside the doubting technician. With icy blue eyes, he stared intently at the flashing signal on the technician’s computer screen, even though he couldn’t comprehend its meaning.
Half a minute later, Jing Chen’s eyes turned red. His tall figure weakened, and he slumped into the chair behind him. With stiff movements, he retrieved a communicator code.
“Father, Jing Nian is really inside that game…”
“Mother, Jing Nian is really inside that game…”
“Xiao Xing, Jing Nian is really inside that game…”
“Xiao Yan, Jing Nian is really inside that game…”
The man with stubble on his chin, with a combination of blue and black clothing, repeatedly dialed his phone in a mechanical manner. He appeared calm, yet his trembling hands betrayed his true emotions. Repeating the same words, the panda-eyed individuals in the entire studio unconsciously held their breaths…
Never would they have thought that General Jing Chen, the dream lover of countless young men and women across the universe, would have such a side.
Legend had it that even the most beautiful queen of the Zerg race in the universe was willing to abandon her identity for General Jing Chen, only to have half of her brain cut off by him without blinking an eye.
Not to mention the rumors of imperial princes and princesses trying to win his favor. Those handsome and enchanting icy eyes of his wouldn’t spare anyone, not even in front of the interstellar media.
Through generations of accomplishments, the Jing family, alongside their fierce and iron-willed nature, was known for their ruthlessness.
Sure enough, the reputation is well-deserved.
Never would they have thought that whether it was a formidable foe or a beautiful woman, the ruthless General was showing such a vulnerable side due to his family.
Furthermore, it wasn’t just General Jing, but the entire Marshal Jing’s family.
Except for the third son who is still in the Imperial Military Academy and the fourth son who is weak at home, the rest are all in important positions. This included the Marshal’s wife, who was also an excellent senior military officer.
Due to official duties, the prominent members of the Jing family had been taking turns guarding their studio without a moment’s rest these past few days!
All this is because of an unfounded twin induction from the third son of the Jing family.
—A sensation that the Fourth Young Master of the Jing family’s situation was related to the closed beta card of that game.
When the «Dragon Slayer» game studio was discovered by the Jing family, they initially demanded the game to be released.
However, they were informed that the game world wasn’t yet fully constructed, and rashly releasing it could lead to unforeseen collapse.
“Then construct it immediately.”
That statement initiated days of non-stop overtime work in the entire studio.
Even though it was all based on an intangible premonition.
But there was no other way, the Jing family had provided too much.
Moreover, most people in the empire had some level of admiration for the Jing family, who had been protecting the empire for generations. Seeing the Iron-Blooded General revealing such a tender side for the sake of his family had moved everyone deeply.
Though they felt it was impossible, they gave it their all.
Yet, when the truth was laid out before them, the people in the studio were left dumbfounded!
The closed beta card was right there in front of them!
And there was even a signal indicating the login of that closed beta card!
