FYS Chapter 58

After becoming a mother, time flew by, and before she knew it, it was already October, and her little one was almost three months old. In early October, Wei Ruxia had a film set to start shooting, and soon, her time of being able to spend twenty-four hours a day with her son would come to an end.

Cradling her son in her arms, Wei Ruxia felt a bittersweet sensation in her heart. The first lesson of parting with her child didn’t sit well with her. This time, she was filming in Ancheng, and she would have time to come home every day. However, overall, she knew she would still have less time to spend with her son.

After taking care of Wei Ruxia for a full month, Luo Tang returned to work at the company. Wei Ruxia and their son stayed at home. His working hours were also flexible; usually, he spent the first half of the day dealing with necessary matters at the company and the other half accompanying the mother and son.

After their son was born, the grandfather gave their grandson a name: Luo Jinwu, meaning that he would embrace different versions of himself every day. Little Luo Jinwu had a likable personality; he rarely cried and spent his days playing with Wei Ruxia with wide-open eyes, living up to his name.

To facilitate taking care of the child, Wei Ruxia’s family of three still resides in the Luo estate. In the morning, Luo Tang was called by Don to handle company matters, so only Wei Ruxia and her son slept together during nap time.

The weather in October was still hot, and with a baby in the house, the air conditioning in the rooms was not turned on. Wei Ruxia sweated profusely in her sleep. When she began to wake up groggily, her son’s little hand reached out, making baby sounds. Wei Ruxia’s heart softened, and she smiled as she opened her eyes.

At three months old, Luo Jinwu had completely shed his wrinkled, newborn awkwardness and transformed into an adorable infant. Taking after his father, his skin was smooth, and his chubby cheeks resembled tofu. His thick, curly eyelashes framed a pair of big, dark eyes that sparkled like stars, giving him the appearance of a doll.

While his eyes resembled Luo Tang’s, his hair color took after Wei Ruxia’s deep chestnut hue. From an early age, Luo Jinwu exhibited remarkable hair volume, which even impressed Hu Yinyin when she came over to visit with her daughter , Xiao Bei, who was already a year old. When Xiao Bei was three months old, he didn’t have nearly as much hair as Luo Jinwu.

Wei Ruxia nibbled on her son’s hand, which felt soft and tender. She smiled while lost in her thoughts. Little Luo Jinwu waved his hands and feet, babbling as he looked at his mother, as if having a conversation with her.

The baby’s voice was incredibly endearing, sounding like sipping a big mouthful of warm, sweet milk. Wei Ruxia’s smile melted further as she chatted away with her son, nibbling on his hand affectionately.

“What’s wrong?”

“Bababa~”

“Oh, do you miss Daddy?”

“Mhmhm~”

“Daddy will be back soon~”

“Ohhoh~”

The conversation, devoid of substance, ended with Wei Ruxia bursting into laughter. She exclaimed, “Oh my!” and got up, burying her face in Luo Jinwu’s little neck and taking a deep breath. The sweet scent of milk hit her, and Wei Ruxia collapsed onto the bed, clutching her chest.

“I’ve been struck by a cuteness overload!”

Luo Jinwu watched his mom playfully, giggling and eventually bursting into a longer laughter. Wei Ruxia, burying her face in her son’s belly, blew a raspberry1in mtl this was “took a small sip” it didn’t make sense so I changed it, and Luo Jinwu laughed even more joyfully.

Wei Ruxia sat up, looking at Luo Jinwu lying on the bed, kicking his little legs and arms. There was something overflowing in her heart.

“My son is so cute,” Wei Ruxia murmured to herself. After saying this, she added, “And my husband is handsome too. I’m truly a winner in life.”

After becoming a director, sometimes she unconsciously acts, which is also related to her Gemini personality. After Wei Ruxia finished acting, she amused herself, propping her elbows on her son’s side and started blowing air to play with him.

When her son was about to get tired, Wei Ruxia smiled, pinched the little chubby hand of her son, and got up. It was too hot, and she couldn’t turn on the air conditioner, so she needed to take a shower.

Although Luo Jinwu was obedient, Wei Ruxia dared not leave him alone on the bed. She opened the door and called the nanny. When the nanny arrived, Wei Ruxia went to take a shower.

After showering, with her hair partially dried, Wei Ruxia took Luo Jinwu from the nanny and went to the bedroom’s small balcony. The sky was gradually clouding over, indicating the possibility of rain. She sat on the lounge chair, letting her partially dried hair hang behind the chair, and held Luo Jinwu against her chest.

The French window was slightly ajar, allowing a gentle breeze to drift in, cool and refreshing.

When Luo Tang returned home, he happened to see Wei Ruxia holding Luo Jinwu, enjoying the breeze. Wei Ruxia was half-reclined, her chin slightly lifted, eyes closed lightly. Her hair wasn’t cut short; it hung below the lounge chair, still dripping with water. Occasionally, a gentle breeze would sway the strands.

Luo Jinwu, nestled in his mother’s arms, was quiet and content, making nursing motions with his mouth. The rocking lounge chair, reminiscent of a baby crib, lulled him into drowsiness.

The sound of Luo Tang opening the door startled the mother and son. They turned their heads to look. Wei Ruxia smiled upon seeing Luo Tang, then lowered her head to gently nudge Luo Jinwu’s forehead with her nose. In a soft voice, she said, “Jinwu look, Daddy’s back~”

It’s like after a long journey, finally arriving at the destination, Luo Tang’s modest twenty years of life, the pursuit of which is just like this.

Walking up to the mother and son, Luo Tang lowered his head while Wei Ruxia smiled and looked up. They shared a light kiss. When Luo Tang’s son, Luo Jinwu, saw his father, he cooed twice. Luo Tang smiled and said to Wei Ruxia, “I’ll go take a shower first.”

When Luo Tang first entered the door, he still carried the air of a proud and elite office man, but as soon as he stood before the mother and son, a sense of gentleness immediately enveloped him.

Wei Ruxia nodded in acknowledgment, and Luo Tang got up and headed to the bathroom.

He took a quick shower, changed his clothes, and came back wearing clean and simple cotton loungewear. Luo Tang also brought a hairdryer with him.

Wei Ruxia’s hair tips were still damp when he arrived. He pulled a chair and sat behind the recliner, ready to blow-dry her hair.

Luo Tang was skilled at blow-drying hair. With his long fingers, gentle movements, and firm touch, he also included relaxing massages while drying her hair, taking care of her very well.

“Is the noise bothering him?” Luo Tang turned on the hairdryer and glanced at Luo Jinwu.

Luo Jinwu’s gaze was fixed on the hairdryer, a novel object for the little one. With his large eyes, he blinked just once when Luo Tang turned on the hairdryer, then looked up at his father when he saw Luo Tang’s lack of reaction.

“He’s curious, not scared,” Wei Ruxia interpreted her son’s actions and expressions, tilting her head back as she spoke to Luo Tang.

Luo Tang smiled and, to avoid blowing air onto Luo Jinwu, lowered the hairdryer and started blowing Wei Ruxia’s hair. Since her hair was already partially dry, it didn’t take long to finish. After putting away the hairdryer, he massaged Wei Ruxia’s scalp, applied some essential oil for her, and then tied her hair up into a bun. Wei Ruxia was sensitive to heat, and in this weather, she would sweat if her hair was left down.

Their life after marriage was very simple, and it remained so after the arrival of their son. Their private world was not disturbed in the slightest; instead, they found even more happiness as a family of three.

While Luo Tang was finishing Wei Ruxia’s hair, Luo Jinwu lifted his head and let out a couple of babbling sounds, looking at his father. Wei Ruxia glanced down at him and chuckled softly before looking up at her husband and saying, “He’s hungry.”

Luo Tang had been diligent in preparing formula milk for Luo Jinwu, and the little one had become aware enough to ask his father for milk. Luo Tang smiled at him, then leaned down to give Wei Ruxia a kiss. “I’ll go prepare the formula,” he said.

Wei Ruxia didn’t linger either; she was about to head to work and didn’t want to get too used to lying down, fearing it might make her lazy. Getting up with Luo Tang, she carried Luo Jinwu to watch Luo Tang prepare the formula.

Wei Ruxia had learned how to prepare formula milk from Luo Tang. When Luo Shian was young, Luo Tang had prepared formula for her, so he was quite skilled at it. After preparing the formula and checking the temperature, Luo Tang took Luo Jingwu and said, “Let me feed him.”

Wei Ruxia smiled and handed over the white lump in her hand. Luo Tang took it, and Luo Jinwu eagerly stretched out his little arms to grab the bottle.

The couple smiled at each other as they watched their son’s movements. Luo Tang fed Luo Jinwu with milk and then carried him to the crib.

Luo Jinwu’s little hands curled up, initially excitedly moving around. Soon, after finishing his milk, his eyelids gradually closed.

His eyelids were thin, his skin fair, and when they closed, you could see the little blue veins on them, very adorable.

While Luo Tang was feeding the baby, Wei Ruxia stood beside him, gently rocking the crib. After the baby finished drinking the milk, Wei Ruxia watched as Luo Tang took the bottle away. She smiled at him and whispered softly, “He’s asleep.”

Luo Tang nodded in acknowledgment. As he took the bottle away, the baby’s mouth was still making sucking motions. With the bottle in hand, he got up and headed to the small room to start cleaning the bottle.

Their bedroom was a suite, with a small living room, a small dining area, and a compact kitchen besides the bedroom. The small room that Luo Tang went into was originally designated as the nursery for Luo Jinwu. However, since he was too young and now lived with Wei Ruxia, it was mainly used to store his belongings.

After Luo Tang entered the room, Wei Ruxia followed. She watched as Luo Tang efficiently washed, sterilized, and dried the bottle before placing it back. Then, he washed his hands once more.

In the room, there was no dryer. Water droplets trickled down Luo Tang’s slender fingers as his hands hung down. He was about to reach for a tissue to wipe them off when he noticed Wei Ruxia standing in front of him.

At home, she dressed very casually, wearing only an oversized white t-shirt that reached just above her knees. Her hair, still slightly damp from the shower, was loosely tied up, with a few stray strands framing her face.

After pregnancy and giving birth, Wei Ruxia acquired an indescribable feminine charm. She didn’t need to say anything; just by smiling at Luo Tang, he could understand her intentions.

Luo Tang lightly pursed his lips, walked over, and leaned down to kiss her.

“Luo Tang,” Wei Ruxia’s voice was soft as she wrapped her arms around his neck, smiling as she called out to him.

“Hmm?” Luo Tang responded softly.

“I still want to have one more,” Wei Ruxia said, her fingertips sliding down the back of Luo Tang’s head, smiling. “I want a daughter.”

Her request didn’t receive an immediate response from Luo Tang. He furrowed his brows lightly, looking at Wei Ruxia in his arms, suppressing the tumult of emotions and desires in his eyes, and said softly, “We can, but not right now.”

The pain she endured during childbirth was still fresh in his memory; for the moment, he didn’t want her to experience such agony again.

Luo Tang’s advances were swift; their son was sleeping outside, so they moved with caution, only exchanging heavy breaths. Having just taken a shower, they both exuded a dry and refreshing scent. Soon, their passion ignited, and as Wei Ruxia was pressed against the wall, when her body leaned backward, Luo Tang’s hand instinctively reached out, supporting the back of her head.

The warm and slightly firm touch reminded her of high school when, during a subway nap, Luo Tang would use the same technique to support the back of her head.

In the blink of an eye, ten years had passed, and they had built a family, welcomed a child, and were now living the life they once dreamed of.

Author’s Note: Many people are asking about the conclusion. Let me clarify that I plan to update until Thursday this month because I want to achieve full attendance for this month.

That means there are only two more updates left before the conclusion, which will be tomorrow and the day after tomorrow. Please refrain from urging for updates.
