Heewoon’s eyes widened.
“Ah, no. I’m fine. I can just walk, and… giving me that amount of money would already be enough…”
“You’ll walk? That distance?”
Kangwoo asked with a scoff, but Heewoon nodded as if it was a matter of course. Kangwoo raised an eyebrow, a face that seemed to ask, ‘For real?’
“Sunbae, you usually walk?”
“Yeah. Nowadays.”
“If you walk because you have no money for transportation costs, are you even eating properly?”
“I-I eat at home.”
Heewoon replied quickly.
“So you’re saying that you starve yourself when outside.”
Kangwoo’s voice was chilling. Heewoon stared blankly at Kangwoo’s furrowed brows. Before he could even gather his thoughts, the words spilled out of his mouth.
“You didn’t know?”
Heewoon became puzzled.
“I thought you knew…”
Kangwoo’s brow furrowed even more.
“It’s not like I’m your stalker, Sunbae.”
“Ah, right.”
Heewoon himself was the stalker. But right now, it felt like Kangwoo knew much more about Heewoon than Heewoon knew about him.
“Why didn’t those idiots report this?”
Kangwoo muttered roughly. Heewoon blinked his eyes a few times, pondering his words. In any case, it meant that Kangwoo did get someone to trail him.
“…And you said you’re not a stalker.”
Once those words blurted out, Kangwoo’s gaze lowered to him. He examined Heewoon’s face intently, not saying anything. Heewoon’s damp cheeks were red, and the speed of his blinking was slower than usual.
“Sunbae.”
“…Yeah?”
Even his response was slow. Kangwoo frowned and said.
“You’re drunk.”
“…Huh? No?”
Heewoon shook his head. His vision was blurred due to his tears, so he rubbed his eyes hard with the back of his hand. He kept wiping away the tears, but it felt like the tears were still there, soon his wrist was firmly grasped.
Startled, Heewoon lifted his head. Kangwoo was there, grabbing both his arms and pulling him up. Even though Heewoon was on the lean side, his height was that of an average adult male, and it was fascinating how effortlessly Kangwoo pulled him up.
Sitting on Kangwoo’s firm thighs, Heewoon stared blankly at Kangwoo’s forehead. He had been curious about Kangwoo’s height before. He was definitely in the 180s, but Heewoon didn’t know the exact number.
“Kangwoo, how tall are you?”
Seo Kangwoo’s brow furrowed. He didn’t answer the question and said something else.
“I told you that if you make drunk antics, I’ll throw you out the window.”
Heewoon contemplated the words said with a low voice, before asking.
“…Which floor are we on?”
“Enough for you to die.”
“Ah…”
As he glared at Heewoon, who was about to look away, Kangwoo yanked him roughly by the back of the neck and smashed their lips together. The wound on his lip, which had grown soft because of Kangwoo’s biting, soon bled. Licking the droplets of blood from his lips, Kang-woo tilted his head and pushed his own tongue in.
A sigh escaped him as the tips of their tongue grazed each other. Kangwoo licked another trickle of blood from Heewoon’s lips again before leaning his head back. Heewoon watched as Kangwoo’s throat moved up and down with his own blood in his mouth. He imagined Kangwoo sucking all of his blood out.
“No wonder.”
A low whisper brushed Heewoon’s jaw. The hand that had been supporting his nape slowly moved downward from his neck. As Kangwoo’s hand trailed down his spine, he caressed Heewoon’s waist. Then, his hand suddenly slipped under Heewoon’s shirt.
Kangwoo held on tightly to Heewoon’s pelvis when he tried to escape, then he groped for the waistband of his trousers. The waist was loose, so he slipped his hand in. Kangwoo’s brow furrowed.
“I thought you knew everything.”
Heewoon said dazedly. He had been scared that there was nothing Seo Kangwoo didn’t know or couldn’t do, but maybe it wasn’t so.
“So there were things you didn’t know either.”
Haa-. Kangwoo sighed. He pressed Heewoon’s lips with his thumb and index finger. He pinched those lips forward and said.
“You’re babbling too much. Do you think I’ll go easy on you because you’re drunk?”
“Uh…”
With his lips being tugged forward, Heewoon grabbed Kangwoo’s wrist. He couldn’t push it away, so he just held onto it. When Kangwoo lowered his hand away, Heewoon immediately covered his lips.
“Uh? Tell me.”
“…I-I don’t think you’ll go easy on me at all…”
His words were muffled as his hand covered his lips. The half of Heewoon’s face visible above his hand seemed quite scared. Kangwoo burst into a small chuckle.
Heewoon observed Kangwoo cautiously. Kangwoo seemed in disbelief and amused at the same time. One thing was for sure – he wasn’t having a chilly demeanor.
Kangwoo supported Heewoon’s back with one hand and reached out to the table with the other. Heewoon, afraid of falling backward as Kangwoo was half-standing, clung to his neck. Kangwoo chuckled softly as he held the orange juice and sat back down.
“Drink this.”
Heewoon released his arm from Kangwoo’s neck and took the juice glass. As he was getting thirsty, he drank it all in gulps. At the clear sound of his gulping, Kangwoo let out a small laugh. Ah, I’m going to go crazy. Kangwoo turned his head away and muttered to himself.
“Do you want more to drink?”
“No. I’m good.”
Hearing Kangwoo’s gentle voice, Heewoon awkwardly held the empty cup. Kangwoo’s gaze wandered over his flimsy hand and then to her lips, which were covered in drops of juice. Lowering his head, Kangwoo stuck out his tongue and licked the juice off. Swirling it around in his mouth as if tasting it, he pulled away.
“Eat more before you go. Do you want me to order something else?”
Kangwoo looked at the menu and asked affectionately. Heewoon turned around to look at the table. A neatly sliced piece of cake was there. He shook his head.
“N-no.”
“Do you not want to eat, or do you not want to order something else?”
“…”
It was both. Heewoon hesitated, and Seo Kangwoo furrowed his brow.
“Get back to your senses.”
Although he got some goosebumps, Heewoon didn’t prepare himself to be hit. It was because Kangwoo’s eyes were round and curious. Patting Heewoon on the bum, Kangwoo set Heewoon down beside him.
Heewoon placed the glass he had in his hand on the table and looked around before picking up the fork. He thought he should eat the cake to be sent home, so he took a big bite and chewed. He hadn’t realized it before, but his head was a bit dizzy.
Just as Seo Kangwoo had said, he might actually be drunk.
Well, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to fall asleep drunk tonight. If this somewhat hazy feeling was due to the alcohol and it acted as a barrier to the dark emotions that seemed ready to burst into tears at any moment, then it was better not to stay sober.
“Do you want more alcohol?”
Kangwoo tilted his head as Heewoon stared at the bottle of alcohol. Heewoon nodded with his lips closed.
“Sure, then.”
Kangwoo watched wordlessly as Heewoon poured himself a glass of alcohol with a gloomy expression. Heewoon filled the glass with whiskey without ice and drank it like it was juice. The redness that had disappeared from his face slowly returned.
As Heewoon alternated between eating cheesecake and drinking alcohol, he suddenly mumbled.
“I want to eat ramyeon.”
Kangwoo, who was staring at Heewoon, picked up the receiver.
Can I get ramyeon here?
Kangwoo’s gaze remained fixed on Heewoon as he held the receiver. Whether it was due to the rising intoxication that made thoughts spill out of his mouth, Heewoon had no desire to eat ramyeon in this luxurious hotel room.
After finishing the cheesecake, Heewoon thought Kangwoo would send him home, but this had prolonged his stay.
Moreover, the ramyeon that arrived a few minutes later was not what Heewoon had in mind. He had only thought of getting an extra egg, but the bowl came with shrimp, abalone, crab, which seemed excessively extravagant for ramyeon.
“It’s delicious…”
His inner thoughts burst out spontaneously. Heewoon paused for a moment but quickly resumed eating with the intention of finishing quickly and leaving.
Watching Heewoon greedily suck on crab legs, Kangwoo gently tapped his chin.
“Sunbae.”
“…Huh?”
“Do you want to try some more alcohol?”
Not knowing what Kangwoo’s intentions were, Heewoon turned his eyes away. Kangwoo’ chin moved to gesture towards the bottle of alcohol on the table.
“If you finish that whole bottle, you’ll be completely drunk.”
“Y-Yeah…”
Heewoon gulped, his fear coming in much slower than usual. Heewoon fidgeted with his chopsticks. It seemed like at any moment, Seo Kangwoo would pour that poisonous drink into his mouth.
Kangwoo turned his head slightly and smiled at Heewoon.
“I’m just saying that.”
You can keep eating.
Heewoon lowered his head and continued eating his ramyeon. He thought it would be best to eat quickly and leave this place as soon as possible. So, he quickly finished his ramyeon, went to the bathroom to rinse his mouth and wash his face, and then came back out.
And…
Heewoon stared at his phone in confusion.
When Kangwoo told him to check his account balance, he opened the app, suppressing the surge of emotions with the influence of the alcohol. He stared at the screen and became frozen.
Balance: 5,000,800 won.
The value of his plea as he knelt down and begged was worth 5 million won.
As if his feet were glued to the floor, Heewoon stood still frozen. Then, he heard the sound of slippers approaching. Kangwoo, who stood in front of Heewoon, brushed his bangs away.
“Have you washed your face?”
“Y-Yeah…”
“Just how did you wash your face that even this area got wet?”
The area around the chest on the gray hoodie was damp, making the dark gray color turned even darker. Kangwoo’s hand lightly poked at the damp spot. Heewoon glanced at the numbers on the screen and then looked up.
“B-But, why is it 5 million won…”
It was a significantly larger amount than the income he earned from his tutoring job. Kangwoo gently removed Heewoon’s bangs that were sticking to his forehead and spoke slowly.
“You pay 2 million to the loan sharks, then 1 million to your mom… and you’re only taking just 350,000 won.”
Kangwoo lightly patted Heewoon’s cheek.
“The person who’s working the shit out of himself has the smallest share.”
“…”
Heewoon’s lips flinched.
His eyes were bloodshot. Heewoon touched the corner of his eyes as Kangwoo mumbled. Kangwoo pushed away Heewoon’s interfering hand, then he gently cupped Heewoon’s cheek and spoke softly.
“Use this card when you buy yummies.”
“Huh?”
“The money for you to use is in the card, Sunbae.”
“Yeah…”
Heewoon answered in a low voice.
