Kangwoo arrived in Korea the next night and called Heewoon. Heewoon told his mother that he would be staying at a friend’s house in advance since it seemed like Kangwoo would tell him to spend a night there after not seeing each other for so long.
“You’ve been staying out a lot lately, Heewoon.”
“Oh… Sorry, Mom.”
“Oh, my. You’re all grown up. It’s okay.”
Wear something warm when you go. His mother said it with a smile. Heewoon nodded while looking at his mother. She should be fine, he thought.
Heewoon went out to the main road and hailed a taxi. He was a bit nervous because Kangwoo might find out he had been drinking the night before. While he was continuously repeating that there was no way for Seo Kangwoo to know what had happened in the room, the taxi arrived at Kangwoo’s house.
“Thank you.”
Heewoon paid by card and got out, entering Kangwoo’s house.
It seemed that the housekeepers were leaving right then, and Heewoon greeted them as they came out the front door. He took off his shoes at the entrance, changed into slippers, and then went to the living room, but Seo Kangwoo wasn’t there.
He looked around and found him on the stairs. It seemed that he had just taken a shower, his hair was damp, and he was wearing a gown. Heewoon glanced at Kangwoo and went closer. Kangwoo’s face broke into a smile.
Kangwoo, who had just come down the last step, hugged Heewoon by the shoulders. Then, he lowered the scarf covering Heewoon’s nose and pecked Heewoon on the tip of his nose.
“Would you like something warm to drink?”
“Yeah.”
Heewoon followed him unconsciously, and Kangwoo chuckled as he walked. You should sit down instead of following me. The light peck on Heewon’s head, and the hand patting his bottom, were affectionate.
Heewoon sat on the sofa, took off his outerwear, and heaved a small sigh. Seo Kangwoo really didn’t know. He wasn’t a god, of course he couldn’t know what happened yesterday. Thinking that, Heewoon felt relieved.
However, Heewoon tensed up again at Kangwoo’s words as he put down the tea cup.
“Sunbae, would you like some alcohol?”
“Huh?”
You were sulking yesterday because you alone couldn’t drink.”
Kangwoo said, teasingly.
“Oh, no. It’s not like that…”
Heewoon fidgeted, and Kangwoo chuckled and went to the kitchen. It seemed like he was getting some alcohol.
Just then, Heewoon’s phone vibrated. He checked it and saw that Jihwan had posted a photo on social media and tagged him. It was a group photo taken at the pub yesterday. While he was still looking at the photo, someone had already commented on it.
It was really fun yesterday!
Heewoon didn’t know who it was from, but it seemed to be a member of their study group. Heewoon looked at the photo again. There were bottles of soju lined up behind the pork meat.
“What are you looking at?”
Kangwoo held a bottle of liquor and two glasses, bringing his head next to Heewoon’s. Heewoon turned around in surprise. The tip of his nose bumped into Kangwoo’s chin.
“Did you see something dirty? Why are you so surprised?”
Kangwoo laughed as he said that.
“Ah. I just saw this photo from yesterday that Jihwan uploaded on social media.”
“Hmm… Let me see.”
Kangwoo placed the items on the table and sat down next to Heewoon. Heewoon, feeling a bit nervous, showed Kangwoo the photo. Kangwoo, who had been examining the group photo for a while, mumbled to himself. I shouldn’t have looked at this. Kangwoo zoomed in on the picture and asked.
“Why does this guy have his hand on your shoulder, Sunbae?”
He was referring to Jihwan in the photo.
“Maybe it’s some form of friendship…”
Heewoon replied with uncertainty, and Kangwoo laughed in disbelief. His sour expression fell away in disbelief.
“Tell me about yesterday. How much fun did you have to stay out that late?”
I’m just curious, so tell me. Kangwoo said softly, misunderstanding Heewoon’s nervousness and ruffling Heewoon’s hair.
“Uh… In the first round, we had pork belly, but, um… it wasn’t as good as the place we went together last time.”
Is that so? Kangwoo said with a smile and poured a drink into a glass. After taking a sip, he gestured for Heewoon to continue.
“I originally didn’t want to go to the second round, but Jihwan kept insisting, so I just went with him.”
“Why?”
“Ah… Because the leader kept nagging at Jihwan. And Jihwan was waiting for someone to arrive, so he had to go to the second round…”
“Sunbae.”
Kangwoo interrupted Heewoon quietly as he put down the glass. Heewoon’s shoulders hunched and the corner of Kangwoo’s lips went up.
“Do you know how many times you’ve mentioned Jihwan’s name just now?”
“…”
“Can’t you talk without mentioning Jihwan?”
Heewoon was momentarily frightened, wondering if Seo Kangwoo had noticed something and was suddenly acting cold.
“Why are you getting scared? Did you really sleep with Jihwan?”
“No! There’s no way that would happen. Ji… I mean, that guy is seeing someone right now.”
Wiggling his butts, Heewoon denied it. Kang-woo, who had been tilting his head stiffly, said ah….
“I thought you wanted to have your penis cut off and went to sleep with him.”
“It’s not like that. K-Kangwoo, are you angry now?”
Heewoon asked cautiously and held onto Kangwoo’s robe. Kangwoo glared at his hand intently.
“Tell your mother that you’re staying the night here.”
“I already told her.”
Heewoon’s words seemed to ease Kangwoo’s expression a little.
“You must really have wanted to stay over.”
“Yeah.”
“Yeah, what?”
Despite his snort, Seo Kangwoo didn’t seem to be in a bad mood and hugged Heewoon by the waist. While fiddling with his waist, Kangwoo said languidly.
“But you were wearing so many layers while you took a taxi.”
“Because the heating might not work well…”
As Heewoon spoke, he removed his pants. Kangwoo smiled as he removed his pants and gestured with his eyes.
“You’re not cold anymore, right?”
Heewoon nodded in agreement as Kangwoo raised the hoodie over his head. Heewoon then took off his clothes, leaving only a long-sleeved shirt underneath. After removing his long-sleeved shirt to reveal a short-sleeved shirt, Kangwoo chuckled softly.
“You came here in a taxi, so why did you wear so many layers?”
“The heater might not be working…”
Heewoon said as he took off his trousers. Kangwoo’s gaze didn’t leave his cheeks, so Heewoon muttered more.
“I hate being cold.”
With his clothes removed, Heewoon’s shoulders shrank as he felt a little chilly. Kangwoo’s hand gently stroked Heewoon’s shoulder.
“There are glasses upstairs, so why don’t you only take this?”
Kangwoo placed the bottle into Heewoon’s hand. Then he got up from the couch and picked Heewoon up. Heewoon was surprised and threw his hands behind Kangwoo’s shoulders.
“I’ll walk.”
“I have to hug you so you won’t feel cold.”
Kangwoo’s hands slid down Heewoon’s bare back and cupped his buttocks. It seemed that Heewoon’s coldness was an excuse, and Kangwoo just wanted to touch his bum as he walked.
Kangwoo laid Heewoon down on the bed in his room and covered him with a blanket. Heewoon, wearing only his underwear, felt a bit exposed and pulled the blanket up a little.
“Do you want something simple to eat?”
Kangwoo asked as he took the bottle from Heewoon’s hand and placed it on the bedside table. Heewoon nodded.
“Ah, right. My phone.”
He had left his phone on the first floor.
“Why do you need your phone when you’re with me?”
Kangwoo furrowed his brow slightly, and Heewoon hastily made an excuse.
“I set an alarm early in the morning, I need to turn it off.”
“Ah. You wanted to have sex all night long and sleep in late?”
“…”
Not knowing what to say, Heewoon nodded. Kangwoo chuckled and tousled his hair before leaving the room. Heewoon soon heard the sound of footsteps going down the stairs.
For a moment, Heewoon worried that while Kangwoo was bringing his phone, Jihwan or another person might mention about them drinking alcohol yesterday.
But then he realized his phone was pattern-locked, so it would be fine.
“Haa…”
As expected, he shouldn’t lie to Seo Kangwoo anymore in the future. His nervousness was making his whole body melt.
He sat there, waiting for Kangwoo in a daze, who seemed to be taking longer than expected. Heewoon wondered what was Kangwoo cooking that took so long? Since his phone was downstairs, he couldn’t do much but wait. Gradually, sleep crept up on him, and he decided to pull back the blanket and get up.
He heard footsteps approaching. He pressed his buttocks back against the bed and gazed blankly at the door. What kind of food did Kangwoo bring that took him so long?
However, Seo Kangwoo returned with a bottle of alcohol in his hand. Why did he bring another one when there was alcohol here already?
Heewoon looked at Kangwoo bewildered. Kangwoo, walking over slowly, placed the bottle on the table and asked.
“I turned off the alarm for you.”
“Yeah.”
After casually replying Kangwoo, Heewoon belatedly felt goosebumps.
Did Seo Kangwoo know the lock pattern?
As his fear rose, Heewoon suddenly felt a shortness of breath.
Heewoon closely examined Kangwoo’s face. Kangwoo’s faint laughter from earlier when he went down had completely disappeared.
Suddenly, he felt very anxious.
“Why are you looking at me like that?”
Kangwoo asked, smiling. But his smile didn’t make Heewoon feel at ease. Watching Heewoon fidgeting, Kangwoo sat down at his desk and asked.
“Do you have something to say to me?”
“…”
His breath was caught in his throat. Heewoon watched Kangwoo’s lips form an arc, then slowly opened his mouth.
“Yesterday…”
His words were interrupted as he choked back dry saliva. Heewoon knew. This was his final chance given by Kangwoo. Heewoon took a deep breath and finally spoke.
“I drank alcohol.”
“You drank alcohol?”
Kangwoo pretended to be surprised, his eyes widened. Heewoon clutched the blanket tightly. He was wearing only his underwear, which made the air feel even cooler.
“I made a mistake. I, I accidentally drank it. It just happened…”
“It seemed like you accidentally drank quite a lot.”
Kangwoo, tilting his head slightly, took out the phone from his pocket and threw it on the desk as if he couldn’t care less.
“I was about to turn off the alarm, but I saw a message on KakaoTalk.”
By accident. Kangwoo slowly added.
“It’s… It’s okay.”
Heewoon was extremely tense and nervous, every nerve on edge with every step Kangwoo took towards him.
“And I had been worried about you.”
“…”
“Just how much did you actually drink?”
