“Why did you call someone to come this far away?”
Heehyun, riding the car Kangwoo sent, headed out of Seoul. He thought perhaps Kangwoo might be giving him some land.
“I’m sorry. There’s something to show you.”
Even though he deliberately spoke in an annoyed tone, the flashy-looking gay guy answered gently. Maybe gays take care of their in-laws too. In any case, it was a good thing for him.
However, contrary to Heehyun’s expectations, there wasn’t any land and they went into a shabby building. Even with remodeling, places like this would be hopeless. Grumbling, Heehyun was guided to the office inside.
Heehyun sat on the sofa, nervously shaking his leg. A faint scent of green tea wafted from a paper cup with a green tea bag. Kangwoo lowered his eyes and silently sipped the tea.
Heehyun thought Woo Heewoon’s lover felt somewhat strange. Even though the guy was being polite, it didn’t feel like he was putting himself lower than Heehyun.
“Is your body alright?”
Heehyun glanced at Kangwoo with a puzzled expression, not understanding those words. Kangwoo chuckled, furrowing his brow.
“Ah. I made a mistake because I remembered meeting you in the operating room. It’s been several months already.”
“…I’m grateful that you saved me.”
“You don’t have to be. It was Heewoon sunbae’s request.”
Heehyun raised an eyebrow slightly. It sounded like he wouldn’t have helped if Heewoon hadn’t asked. He probably was overthinking it.
“What do you want to show to me?”
Heehyun bluntly asked, rubbing his chin. Kangwoo, after briefly looking at Heehyun, took out a tablet PC. On the screen were sharply taken pictures of a rugged man with a scar on his jaw. The man was looking elsewhere, as if the photo was taken discreetly.
“This…”
“Do you know this person? He’s Mr. Park Taesik, who was in charge of Sunbae’s family.”
Heehyun seemed to sense something odd and closed his mouth. Kangwoo casually flipped through several more pictures.
“Dealing with debt is Mr. Park Taesik’s job, so it was inevitable, but from the perspective of the victim, he must be a trashy guy. Playing with innocent people, giving false hope, and suddenly kidnapping the whole family one day, claiming to harvest their organs. He also made Sunbae to watch his brother getting his organs removed.”
“….”
“Even if that brother is a money-grabbing jerk who ran away with money, how would he feel to see that scene in front of his eyes? He’s so easy to get scared too.”
“…What? What are you saying right now?”
Heehyun’s eyes widened. Kangwoo, looking at Heehyun for a brief moment, continued his words. His tone remained quiet the entire time.
“It’s a bit strange, but whenever I see those guys, I get angrier than when I mind my own matters.”
Bastards who torment Heewoon.
Kangwoo added, staring directly at Heehyun. Heehyun’s Adam’s apple moved up and down.
“So, I tried to make him pay back, but somehow this guy got wind of it and ran away. He hid so well that it took a week to find him. After that, I pretended to find him then to lose him. There were even a few chases.”
Kangwoo let out a windy laugh.
“It feels quite good to make him experience the feeling of getting his blood dried.”
“…Why are you telling me this, is this a threat?”
Heehyun raised his voice. Kangwoo smiled as if to reassure him not to misunderstand.
“This is not a threat. I thought Hyung might have a lot piled up against Mr. Park Taesik, too. I just caught him three days ago.”
Come in. Kangwoo looked back at the door, raising his voice. With a clack, the door opened, and a large man brought in something like a bathtub. In the faded bathtub, something vaguely reddish was visible.
“I’ll have to think more about showing this to Heewoon sunbae.”
With a swish, the bathtub came closer to the sofa. Heehyun could now clearly see the reddish thing in the bathtub.
It looked like a lump of meat.
“Ugh, ugh-.”
Turning his head to the opposite side, Heehyun retched. A murmuring voice could be heard.
“Heewoon said he pretended to be friends as he used to call frequently. But Heewoon… No, Sunbae’s voice on the phone was a bit cute, so…”
Welph, urgh. Heehyun tightly closed his eyes.
“I didn’t originally plan to go this far, but seeing him running away with such high expectations, I couldn’t help it.”
Kangwoo’s laughter sent a shiver down Heehyun’s spine. The vomiting didn’t stop, and the sofa was covered in vomit. Ah, dirty. Kangwoo muttered, annoyed.
“Change the sofa.”
“Yes.”
Frowning at the soiled sofa, Kangwoo’s gaze shifted to the bathtub. After a moment’s thought, he spoke to himself.
Hmm, I shouldn’t show this to Heewoon.
“You, you crazy bastard….”
Heehyun shuddered and muttered at the sound of that gentle voice. Heehyun’s head stayed down as if looking at the bathtub was horrible, and Kangwoo clicked his tongue, then gave a glance towards the man beside the tub.
The man nodded and left the office, returning shortly afterwards. With a similarly sized men in tow.
“What, what are you doing! Get off me!”
As they grabbed his arms, Heehyun struggled to his feet. The red of the bathtub came into his horrified vision. He struggled a little harder, and the grip on his arms gave way.
“Fucking bastards, you wait and see. I’m gonna sue you all…… Ack!”
Heehyun didn’t get to finish his sentence as his arm was spun around. The back of his thigh was kicked hard. He fell to the ground with a thud, and his back was mercilessly hit by several feet.
Heehyun let out a lone scream. It was the start of a sudden assault.
The continuous violence, without reason or anger, was even more terrifying.
“Ack, ack! F-Fuck, what’s this. I’ll call the police, ugh…!”
Heehyun shouted at Kangwoo, but the kicking didn’t stop, it continued only on body parts that wouldn’t be seen from outer appearance.
The kicks stopped when Heehyun’s curses turned into pleas for help.
“Heuk, heuk-.”
“That earlier wasn’t really a threat.”
Kangwoo approached Heehyun, who was lying on his own spilled vomit, slowly. Heehyun only let out faint moans. Kangwoo looked down at Heehyun’s face and said,
“Threats start like this.”
A cold gaze touched Heehyun’s hand on the floor. The heel of Kangwoo’s shoe pressed down on Heehyun’s hand. There was a crisp sound of bones breaking.
“Aaargh!”
“Tell your mother that your hand got caught in the door.”
Heehyun glared at Kangwoo, trembling.
“Fuck this. Do you think I’ll just stay quiet? Asshole, if I report to the police, Woo Heewoon will know about you doing this.”
“That doesn’t matter. As long as your mother doesn’t know. As you know, Heewoon sunbae is different from someone. He’s a filial son.”
Kangwoo said with a frown. Heehyun breathed heavily, his breath mixed with phlegm.
“Just live quietly. Don’t talk to him if you see him, and don’t even look at him. Don’t touch him either.”
Kangwoo tapped the broken finger with the tip of his shoe.
“It’s not coercion. There are plenty of places where people hold grudges on you, Hyung, so arranging accidents wouldn’t be difficult. It’s more convenient that way for me too.”
Kangwoo took out his wallet and dropped several banknotes on the floor. One of the bills fluttered and stuck to Heehyun’s cheek.
“These are for your medical treatment. Oh, and you should buy an air conditioner.”
“…What?”
“I’m worried because that house is too hot. Your Mother would like it if Hyung buys the air conditioner, and Heewoon would feel comfortable too.”
I’ll check within three days. Well then, be careful on your way back. Kangwoo bowed and turned away. The two men also followed Kangwoo. In the shabby office, only Heehyun and the bathtub remained.
“Ughhh….”
A sound of boiling blood could be heard from the bathtub. It was too horrifying to be a human sound. Heehyun tried to move his writhing limbs, but the hand that touched the vomit slipped, and he fell as it was.
“Damn it!”
Heehyun cursed, hitting the floor.

Kangwoo left the office and looked at his own clothes. It seemed that nothing dirty had stained them. While brushing off his clothes, he walked outside the building, and his phone rang.
[Heewoon♥]
Checking the caller, Kangwoo’s lips loosened slightly. Putting his mobile phone to his ear, he spoke in a soft voice.
“Yes, Sunbae.”
-When did you leave? Without saying a word….
Kangwoo didn’t bother to hold back his curling lips.
“You were sleeping so soundly, I didn’t want to wake you. Are you up now?”
–Yeah.
Kangwoo left while Heewoon was napping, and now it’s already sunset. Kangwoo clicked his tongue.
“I’m going back now. Is there anything you want to eat?”
-No.
Kangwoo said as he got into his car.
“I’ll be there soon. Don’t fight with Lexy.”
-We’ve never fought.
Listening to Heewoon saying that with a tone of disbelief, Kangwoo chuckled softly. He must have heard the sound of the car door closing, and Heewoon spoke.
– Are you in the car now? Then, I’ll hang up.
“Yes. But if I put on earphones… Ah.”
Kangwoo, who was just taking out his earphones from the car, clicked his tongue. Seeing how he abruptly ended the call, it seemed like Heewoon was upset because Kangwoo went out without saying a word.
Kangwoo chuckled softly. Woo Heewoon was quite bold on the phone these days, which was just absurd.
It took about two hours to get home. As Kangwoo entered through the front door, he had a paper bag with a well-known bakery logo in his hand.
“Are you back?”
Heewoon, who was reading a book on the living room sofa, turned his head.
“Have you had dinner?”
“Yeah, I ate.”
Kangwoo nodded, placed the paper bag on the kitchen counter, and went upstairs. Heewoon closed his book, following him quietly.
“I’m leaving the book here.”
Heewoon said even though Kangwoo didn’t ask. After going into the bedroom, Kangwoo stopped by the dressing room and then went to the bathroom, while Heewoon stood in front of the bathroom for no reason and sat on the chair when Kangwoo was about to come out. When Kangwoo walked out, Heewoon picked up the book again and followed him.
Down the stairs, Kangwoo headed for the kitchen. While walking fast like wind blowing, Kangwoo suddenly stopped in his tracks. Heewoon barely managed to regain his balance before he clashed his nose onto Kangwoo’s shoulder.
“Why are you following me around?”
Turning around, Kangwoo wrapped his hands around Heewoon’s cheeks.
“Me?”
Kangwoo chuckled and kissed Heewoon’s lips lightly.
“Do you want something to eat? I heard this bakery is quite famous.”
“Yeah. I saw it on Instagram.”
When Heewoon looked into the paper bag, Kangwoo ruffled Heewoon’s hair and went to the liquor shelf. Heewoon, just glancing at Kangwoo, breathed a sigh of relief.
When Heewoon hung up the phone earlier, he definitely heard Kangwoo was about to say something. After that, he had only repeatedly thought of one thing for two hours.
Should I call Kangwoo again? No, my pride would get hurt. What if Kangwoo gets mad when he comes home? If he was going to get angry, he would have called me again. He wouldn’t have cared much. Then let’s not call him again.
“You’re spacing out.”
Kangwoo bit Heewoon’s earlobe with his lips playfully. When Heewoon flinched, he chuckled.
“Sunbae, do you want a drink too?”
“No, I’m fine.”
Kangwoo could have just walked, but he deliberately walked with Heewoon trapped between his arms. Heewoon thought that the dilemma he had earlier was so trivial.
Sitting on the living room sofa, Kangwoo drank alcohol, and Heewoon drank juice. The bread from the famous bakery was very delicious.
“Oh, right. Send me the photos you took in Hawaii. I want to show them to my mom.”
“Later.”
“But you keep not sending them.”
Heewoon’s tone sounded irritated. Heewoon noticed that and became wary of Kangwoo’s reaction. Kangwoo tilted his head, looking at Heewoon.
“No, it’s because you keep not sending them…”
Heewoon, with a trailing tone, moved his hips to Kangwoo’s side. Their thighs were pressed together. He now understood that getting closer to Kangwoo was much more helpful than distancing oneself.
“It’s mine, so why do I have to send it to you, Sunbae?”
Kangwoo held Heewoon’s lips with two fingers. Are you going to keep saying your Mom this and that? With each word spoken, Kangwoo put more pressure on Heewoon’s lips.
“Sunbae, you should think about me the most.”
“Oooomph…!”
Grabbing and pulling Heewoon’s lips quite firmly, Kangwoo caused Heewoon’s face to follow his hand. Heewoon held Kangwoo’s hand with both hands and whimpered. Kangwoo looked at Heewoon with a mischievous expression and slowly released his lips. The area around the lips turned red.
“It was almost becoming annoying, but I’m relieved to have found someone to solve it in the future.”
Kangwoo murmured, stroking the reddened skin.
From now on, Heewoon’s whining about things he wanted to do for his mother would be taken care of by Woo Heehyun.
There were two good points to this. The first was that he didn’t have to scare Heewoon into reminding that he should be the only one engraved in Heewoon’s head.
“That really hurts.”
Kangwoo looked at Heewoon covering his mouth with both hands. If Kangwoo made him feel scared, he wouldn’t whine like this for a while, and that was not a thing to be welcomed.
The second was that he could gradually torment Woo Heehyun. Thinking of it as revenge for Heewoon, who was so soft and passive, gave him a bit of satisfaction.
Kangwoo, with the corners of his mouth raised, noticed that Heewoon was moving sluggishly to the side. Seeing the thighs that were touching gradually moving away, he casually said,
“If you came closer, you should’ve given me a kiss.”
“…”
Heewoon glared at Kangwoo discreetly, head bowed. Kangwoo, looking at Heewoon’s rounded lips, said,
“Are you glaring at me right now?”
“…Not at all?”
A shiver ran down Heewoon’s spine. Heewoon made an effort to adjust his expression and lifted his head. It was better to hide his expression by covering his mouth with his hand.
Kangwoo, smiling, opened his arms. Hesitating, Heewoon entered his embrace. Kangwoo’s arms naturally descended onto Heewoon’s shoulders.
“Next time, kiss me.”
Kangwoo patted Heewoon’s thigh. Heewoon lightly brushed his lips and mumbled.
“If I kiss you when you’re mad, you might become angrier.”
“That’s wrong.”
Kangwoo’s fingers traced the fine wrinkles on Heewoon’s scrunched nose.
“Even if you don’t kiss me, I always go easy on you.”
“…”
Heewoon reminisced about many things. Being there for him seemed to be the extent of it. Feeling uneasy, Heewoon placed his cheek on Kangwoo’s chest and hugged him around the waist.
Kangwoo placed his palm on Heewoon’s cheek and stroked it. Heewoon blinked obediently, leaning into Kangwoo.
“I’m relieved you guys are not alike at all.”
“Huh? What are you talking about?”
“There’s something like that.”
Kangwoo chuckled. Heewoon’s lips twitched, perhaps he disliked that Kangwoo didn’t explain further. And that part of him was also endearing.
