Chapter 4: I Understand Your Bromance
Feng Lingcan smiled at me and gently reminded me, “Please have a seat and stay safe.”
“You don’t believe me!” I pointed towards the window, but he signaled for me to sit down. Did I see something wrong?
I looked outside again, and indeed, there was no one there. I must have been mistaken!
Oh, how embarrassing.
My face instantly flushed, and I lightly bumped my forehead against the thick window. People probably thought I was so nervous about flying for the first time that I started hallucinating.
I raised my face once more, and to my astonishment, I saw the boy again!
I immediately covered my mouth, suppressing the urge to shout. Afraid of being mistaken, I quickly rubbed my eyes and took another look. There he was, a boy wearing a beige woolen coat, clearly flying outside my window. That flash of red I had seen earlier was his British-style red checkered scarf around his neck!
The long scarf fluttered behind him, and the snug woolen coat accentuated his figure, making him incredibly handsome!
He looked cool and aloof as he gazed ahead, with his hands casually tucked into the pockets of his floating coat. With just a sidelong glance and a raised eyebrow, his facial expression alone could easily surpass the pretty boys and Korean heartthrobs on television!
And beneath his winged trendy red shoes, there was a red-painted sword!
I was utterly…
My jaw dropped!
He grew slightly irritated and withdrew his right hand from his coat pocket, running it through his soft, slightly purple-tinted hair. His slender, fair fingers were full and well-defined. The way his fingers caressed his long hair could make any teenage girl’s heart skip a beat!
Oh my goodness! I have to capture this moment, I need to take a picture!
I quickly grabbed my phone and snapped a photo.
“Click!”
Suddenly, he casually glanced in my direction, and our surprised and curious gazes met. He immediately noticed that I had secretly taken a picture of him with my phone. He raised an eyebrow and a contemptuous smirk appeared at the corner of his mouth. He even gave me a condescending look.
Oh dear! So arrogant! If it weren’t for your good looks, I wouldn’t even bother taking your picture!
Suddenly, the boy outside the window disappeared in an instant!
I was dumbfounded, completely pressed against the window, nearly flattening my nose. “Where is he? Where did he go? Oh no, could it have been my imagination? Wait! I took a picture!”
“Are you referring to me?” Just as I was about to check my phone, a clear and pleasant male voice resonated from behind me. My body froze, slowly turning around, and then I was utterly stupefied. The boy who had been flying outside the window just moments ago was now seated next to me!
He occupied Feng Lingcan’s seat and gave me a playful smile before glancing elsewhere. “Making such a fuss over nothing. Are you still in elementary school?” He glanced back at me, his beautiful, slender eyes adding an extra layer of charm and arrogance. He had a certain indescribable allure.
I continued to stare at him, speechless. I was afraid that if I spoke, a string of “Oh my god!” would blurt out.
“Are you… are you real?” I reached out and pinched his face, utterly perplexed. He immediately grew annoyed, swatting my hand away. “Gross! Don’t touch me!” With that, he pulled out a disinfectant wipe from his pocket and swiftly cleaned his incredibly handsome face.
I gaped in astonishment at my own hand. It had a sensation! Smooth and delicate, like a newborn baby’s skin! It was actually real!
What on earth was happening here?
“Fusu?” Excited cries came from the aisle as Zombie Girl exclaimed, “Fusu, you’re here!”
“It’s Fusu! Where is he? Where is he?”
Following Zombie Girl’s exclamation, the entire cabin erupted in excitement. All the girls who had been engrossed in their phones stood up, one by one, searching for this boy named Fusu! It was as if we had stumbled upon a wildly popular male idol on the plane!
Fusu smirked, letting out a light chuckle and looking particularly contemptuous and indifferent. “Hmph, I shouldn’t have come in. It’s all your fault!” He shot me a fierce glare, and I stared at him, utterly bewildered. Why was he blaming me?
Just then, the Hanfu Goddess made her appearance!
She stood elegantly next to Fusu, dressed in a white gown, emanating a cold and arrogant aura. She seemed completely unfazed by Fusu’s attractiveness, uninterested in joining the others’ infatuation. With her arms crossed, she wore a displeased expression as she observed Fusu. “You’re causing a scene again. Can’t you be more low-key?”
“Hmph.” Fusu raised the corner of his lips, a smirk playing across his face. Without even sparing her a glance, he casually snatched my phone and swiped through it. “Don’t deliberately seek my attention. I’m not interested in you.”
What a jerk! I sneered at this boy named Fusu, feeling a cold stare in return.
“Hahaha, someone is asking for trouble~~~” Laughter erupted throughout the entire cabin, leaving the Hanfu Goddess feeling embarrassed in an instant.
“Fusu, is it really necessary to behave like this?” a composed voice rang out. It was Feng Lingcan, returning just in time for the Hanfu Goddess to seize the opportunity to leave unnoticed amidst the crowd’s focus on him.
He gazed at Fusu with a stern expression. “Step aside. There are plenty of seats at the back.” Fusu continued to ignore him, engrossed in his disdain for the seemingly outdated phone in his hand.
I swiftly snatched the phone back from Fusu’s grip, catching him off guard. With anger in my eyes, I confronted him, “Please move! This is Feng Lingcan’s seat!”
Fusu raised an eyebrow, a faint hint of a smirk playing on his pink lips. “Well, well, this is getting interesting.” He lifted his face and glanced at Feng Lingcan, challenging him. “If it’s your seat, I guess I won’t fight over it.”
Feng Lingcan’s face tightened as he locked eyes with Fusu, who provocatively crossed his arms and maintained his defiant gaze.
“Please move!”
“No way!”
“Don’t you dislike sitting with girls?”
“If this girl belongs to you, then I insist on sitting here!”
“You’re so childish!” Feng Lingcan took a deep breath, visibly suppressing his anger.
Fusu calmly savored Feng Lingcan’s expression and smirked. “I just love watching you seethe with anger, unable to do anything.”
That guy is such a jerk!
Absolutely!
In a sudden motion, I stood up and caught Feng Lingcan’s attention. I blinked and said, “I understand now.”
Feng Lingcan looked at me with a hint of confusion, while Fusu raised an eyebrow, continuing to observe Feng Lingcan’s reaction.
Silently, I climbed onto my own seat and then made my way to the vacant spot in the front, previously occupied by the snake. Fusu finally noticed my departure, his gaze turning cold as he shot a furious glare in my direction. “You’re not allowed to leave!”
I glanced back at him and said, “If you have feelings for Feng Lingcan, just admit it. Why bother deliberately provoking him? It’s not healthy for either of you.”
Instantly, the faces of both Feng Lingcan and Fusu darkened!
I smiled at them and added, “I’m giving up my seat, alright? Stop fighting and let’s get along. Arguing won’t lead to anything good.”
In an instant, the atmosphere in the entire cabin chilled! Everyone stared at me, frozen in disbelief.
The young boy beside me, clutching his white python, looked at me with wide eyes. I grinned and said, “See, there’s no one here now.”
He nodded stiffly, and as I settled back into my seat, I heard Feng Lingcan burst into laughter, unable to contain himself. “Pfft! Hahaha! You’re amazing! It’s the first time I’ve seen Fusu speechless. Hahaha, this historic moment must be captured.” He reached for his phone to take a picture.
“Fusu!”
Fusu angrily snatched Feng Lingcan’s phone and tossed it aside, then returned to his seat in a fit of frustration.
