GCLA Chapter 35

Chapter 35: Everyone is in a Critical Condition

As I entered the adjacent ward, the scene before me filled me with deep guilt.

I saw Mao Mao and Jiang Yan lying on the bed, seemingly unconscious.

Perhaps Jiang Yan was right, it was for everyone’s safety.

I approached Jiang Yan’s bedside, feeling sad at the sight of him in a deep sleep. His already pale face was even more lifeless, like a dead person lying in a funeral parlor. As vampires, why was there such a huge difference between Jiang Yan and that despicable light god?

Jiang Yan has always been good to me, never once thinking of drinking my blood. However, he led the poorest life among the vampire family, barely sustaining himself by drinking the worst-quality dog blood.

Meanwhile, that vampire scum, the light god, lived so energetically. It turned out that the unfairness that existed in the human world also prevailed here. While I felt the injustice towards Jiang Yan, there was an inexplicable balance. Even the gods and demons were like this, not to mention us mortals.

I wanted to apologize to Jiang Yan, but because of my facial paralysis, I couldn’t speak. I could only extend my hand and grasp his cold hand, saying silently, “I’m sorry, Jiang Yan.”

“En…” A faint moan came from Mao Mao’s side. I immediately went to her bedside. She was awake now, looking at me with a confused gaze. “Xiao… Lan?”

“En.” I could only make sounds now. Many words that required coordination with the lips were impossible for me to say. I hadn’t learned ventriloquism either, but luckily, I had a cellphone now.

I took out my cellphone immediately and placed it in front of her. She looked at it with puzzlement, then sat up and looked at me. “Xiao Lan, what’s wrong with you? Why can’t you speak? Why are you wearing a mask? Let me see.”

Before I could stop her, he had already swiftly removed my mask. Then, her eyes rolled and she passed out.

“…” Hey, come on, give me some face… At least call my name faintly a couple of times…

I put the mask back on once again, at least Mao Mao was okay.

The sound of footsteps approached from outside. When I turned around, Si Yino and Qing Ming had arrived. They were both dumbfounded at the door when they saw me. I waved at them, and they snapped out of it, walking towards me while glancing at my mask.

I picked up my phone, which had already been prepared with words: Facial paralysis.

After reading it, Qing Ming’s expression grew slightly heavy, but he raised his thumb at me. “En!”

“Xiao Lan, you’re really pitiful,” Si Yino said sorrowfully, reaching out to touch my mask. Xiao Bai also rubbed against my face, where the mask had left an imprint.

I picked up my phone again. “It’s them who are pitiful. It’s all my fault. I made everyone fight…” I looked at Mao Mao and Jiang Yan with guilt.

“They’re okay!” Si Yino said anxiously. Qing Ming suddenly turned my face and looked at me seriously. “Cool!”

Cool? Uh… Qing Ming, are you saying my disfigured face is cool?

Si Yino smiled timidly while holding Xiao Bai. “It’s the first time… we’ve had so much fun fighting…”

So, it was fun for them!

I stared blankly at them, feeling a mix of emotions.

Si Yino and Qing Ming exchanged smiles, then suddenly remembered something. They went to Mao Mao’s and Jiang Yan’s beds respectively. Si Yino looked at me and said, “Don’t worry, Xiao Lan. They’re just… tired.”

Um… actually… Mao Mao isn’t tired… I just scared her unconscious…

While speaking, both of them touched the beds, and the entire beds floated in the air, with two tentacles swaying in the air at the foot of each bed.

“It’s time to gather,” Si Yino said.

Gather! Everyone is so injured, and they still want to gather?!

I couldn’t speak, so I could only look at Si Yino and Qing Ming. They turned and walked towards the door. Following them, the two floating beds swayed behind them. I couldn’t believe that the Divine and Demon Academy was so insane that even unconscious students had to join the gathering!

As I walked out of the ward, I was dumbfounded. One after another, the beds floated out of each room, following the less severely injured students.

Yes, I could only say they were less severely injured because many of them had bandages on! It looked much more serious than my condition!

What kind of school is this, really!

I dumbly followed behind Mao Mao’s and Jiang Yan’s floating beds. As long as the students could move, they had to walk on their own, unless they really couldn’t!

What’s up with that person holding their own arm?

What the hell is up with the person using their leg as a bed footrest?!

Why is the person who got bisected still chatting with the person in the next bed?!

Holy shit! How is there only a head left!

I shuddered all over. Buying insurance was definitely the right choice. This place is so damn dangerous!

I faintly remembered the conversation between the doctor and Senior Feng Lingcan. He said that humans were the hardest to treat, and life and death were not in his hands. If I was fated to die, he couldn’t save me.

Looking at the scene before me now, it seemed that no matter how broken the Divine and Demon children were, they could be restored because they simply couldn’t die!

But I’m a mortal. I, I can die.

The beds and the injured students, along with the uninjured ones, walked out of the hospital in a grand spectacle!

I picked up my phone and showed it to Qing Ming: Is it always like this?

Qing Ming nodded at me, pursed his lips, and let out a long sigh. “Ah…”

“So Jiang Yan senior… protects us…” Si Yino held Xiao Bai and looked at the sleeping Jiang Yan. It made me feel even more guilty. We could have avoided this predicament if everyone just looked out for others and not themselves.

But looking at the others, it’s hard to imagine the kind of insane enemies they encountered.

Everyone returned to the classroom once again, sitting in groups. The beds floated above the seats. I saw that Black Mei also had adhesive tape on her face, and her zombie waved her own arm at me.

Black Mei was also injured. Everyone is so brave.

Black Mei looked at me and burst into laughter.

This girl is laughing at me again, but I like her personality. I made a mocking gesture back at her, and she clearly didn’t mind.

Suddenly, everyone fell silent.

In the center of the classroom, the Yang Yang appeared again. His face was completely blue! A true blue color! A dark cloud enveloped him, and even if I was sitting far away, I could feel his intense killing intent!
