In an instant, the entire open space became the scene of a chase. At first, the bull was able to closely follow behind You Yi, its horns just inches away from his back. However, as it lost too much blood, its steps gradually slowed, and its breathing became increasingly labored, clearly not as spirited as at the beginning.
Seeing that the timing was right, You Yi did not take the opportunity to distance himself from it. Instead, he spun around and faced the bull head-on. He grasped one of its horns, leaped up, and directly mounted the bull’s neck, plunging the sharp dagger into the gap between its head and neck!
The bull let out a painful bellow and surged with immense strength, desperately shaking its body to throw You Yi off!
You Yi, experienced and not one to linger in battle, followed the force and jumped off the bull’s body, rolling agilely on the ground to escape the range of its hooves.
“Awesome!” Dou Dou watched with great interest and even whistled.
Xin Meng heard the whistle, turned to glance at him, frowned, and said, “We need to find a way to take turns attracting its attention and continue to wear it down!”
“I know, I know, it’s just bullfighting!” Dou Dou immediately understood, but then looked around, scratching his cheek in frustration, “But we don’t have a red cloth!”
“No need for a red cloth!” Luo Yingying shouted anxiously from the side, “Bulls are colorblind; anything that can flutter can provoke it!”
“Got it, then it’s simple!” Dou Dou first handed the small black doll in his hand to Luo Yingying, then reached back and pulled off his coat draped over Qi Xiaokui, placing her on the ground. He then ran to a farther spot, vigorously waving the coat in the direction of the bull.
The bull, originally indifferent, would only focus on revenge against You Yi, its enemy present. To it, everyone else was no different from ants by the roadside. However, You Yi’s ears perked up; he had already heard the conversation on the other side. Seeing Dou Dou shaking the coat, he took advantage of the bull’s bellowing and swiftly darted into the woods.
Once the bull finished its bellowing, it lost its target. It turned its head left and right, its fierce gaze scanning back and forth, but it could not find any trace of its enemy. Furious, it began to stomp its hooves, and Dou Dou, who was still foolishly waving the coat, naturally became its target for venting its anger. The bull lowered its head and charged at him!
The distance was not too far, and Dou Dou had ample time to dodge. As the bull charged closer, he turned to evade, while Xin Meng ran to the other side, picking up a larger stone from the ground and smashing it onto the bull’s body. The bull immediately twisted around and charged at Xin Meng.
Inspired by Xin Meng, Li Wenjun was also unwilling to be outdone. He grabbed a small black doll in one hand and picked up stones to throw, forming a triangular formation with the three of them, leading the bull in circles.
“I never thought I would have a day to personally play bullfighting!” Dou Dou exclaimed, excitedly bouncing around, “This is so thrilling! Compared to this guy, the bulls in Spain are simply weak!”
His words were completely out of sync with the tense atmosphere, drawing sideways glances from the others. Xin Meng frowned again, but seeing that Dou Dou, although a bit overly excited, was indeed helping, she said nothing.
The bull, being toyed with, grew weaker as it lost blood. Finally, with a thud, it knelt on its front legs, exhaling short, weak breaths.
You Yi emerged from behind the trees, slowly approaching from the bull’s rear, his footsteps silent. The bull’s ears twitched, but it heard nothing. You Yi boldly walked over, grasped the dagger still embedded in the bull’s neck, pulled it out, and with a fierce thrust, stabbed it into the bull’s forehead as it turned back in alarm!
The sharp dagger instantly sank in up to the handle. This time, the bull didn’t even let out a sound; its body convulsed and fell sideways, frothing at the mouth, lifeless.
The ground shook as it fell, raising dust high enough to obscure a person. You Yi stepped on the bull’s horn, pulled out the dagger, and gently wiped the blood off his fingers.
“Five little black dolls, causing trouble and getting sued; entangled in lawsuits until death, five left with four…” The little black dolls lined up neatly, finishing their song before struggling to break free from everyone’s hands, wanting to run forward.
“Wait!” Luo Yingying quickly called out, “Can you wait a moment?”
“What’s wrong?” Li Wenjun turned to look at her.
“I… I need to go to the bathroom. Can you wait for me?” Luo Yingying’s face turned red, but she still said, “It’ll be quick! Just one minute! I really can’t hold it anymore…”
She might have kept quiet, but the others felt nothing at first. However, once she mentioned it, they seemed to catch the feeling too, and each of them felt a bit of urgency.
Considering the time, they had been at it for over a day, and with how many hamburgers they had eaten, wanting to go to the bathroom was quite normal…
But that was strange.
In the games they had experienced before, although it felt like they had entered a real world, their physical conditions were still noticeably different. Most of them had almost no metabolism, let alone the dire need to go to the bathroom halfway through; that had never happened. Otherwise, in that bus game, they would have all wet their pants.
However, this time was different. Metabolism had not only not stopped but seemed to have accelerated. They felt hungry faster, thirsty faster, and even had to go to the bathroom!
“It seems this is indeed a deliberate setup by the game,” Xin Meng said, comforting the blushing Luo Yingying, “It’s perfectly normal to have such needs; go ahead, just don’t wander too far.”
“I also kind of need to go, what should I do?” Dou Dou said, placing one hand on his stomach, looking troubled.
Xin Meng glanced at the little black doll in her hand. Although it still wanted to break free, Xin Meng had just been pulling it around, and it was lucky to still be alive. At this moment, it looked listless, tugging at her arm half-heartedly.
Having held onto them for a while, there was no sign of a checkpoint. It seemed the game had indeed left them some breathing room at the junctions of each level.
“Then you go too,” Xin Meng said, “We’ll take turns and all take care of it.”
Dou Dou handed the little black doll to Xin Meng, who held two in one hand, while Li Wenjun took Luo Yingying’s, also holding one in each hand, waiting for the others to go first.
You Yi, however, walked over to Xin Meng. She looked up and asked, “Aren’t you going?”
You Yi just shook his head, saying nothing. Xin Meng simply handed the little black doll in her hand to him, “Then I’ll go; you hold onto this for now.”
After saying that, she also darted into the woods.
Thus, the ones waiting became You Yi and Li Wenjun, the two men standing face to face, silent.
Li Wenjun was actually very curious about You Yi. Observing his skills, his walking posture, and some small habits, he found them somewhat similar to those of a soldier from the army, but much more impressive. He wanted to inquire about You Yi, but looking into his inorganic, tea-colored eyes sent a chill up his spine. When Xin Meng was not around, this person seemed to have lost all warmth that belonged to a human. Li Wenjun felt a bit uneasy and ultimately closed his mouth in frustration.
Perhaps men finished their business faster. The first to return was Dou Dou, bouncing over, followed by Xin Meng. Luo Yingying was a bit slower, trailing behind. When she came out, she was in such a hurry that she almost tripped over a tree root, quickly grabbing onto a nearby tree to steady herself.
“Buzz… Buzz…”
Just as she let out a sigh of relief, a familiar buzzing sound suddenly filled her ears, growing louder. Her face turned pale as she quickly turned around, only to find that the swarm of bees, previously driven away by smoke, had returned!
Feeling utterly mocked, the angry bees formed a dark cloud, shifting into various shapes before finally morphing into a monstrous creature with a gaping mouth, fiercely charging at her!
“Heavens…” She covered her mouth and turned to run, but once again tripped over the same protruding tree root, falling to the ground. The swarm flew in from the direction she had just come, getting closer to her in an instant!
“Yingying!” Li Wenjun’s heart raced as he cried out in anguish!
This time he was too far away; even if he threw away the little black doll, he wouldn’t make it in time to protect her!
Luo Yingying, like him, had only one life left. If she died this time… he couldn’t even bear to imagine what he would do!
The swarm quickly formed a massive stone shape above Luo Yingying, with stingers pointing at her, crashing down hard!
Luo Yingying tightly shut her eyes, despair flooding her heart, thinking that this time she would finally meet her end. Amidst the pain, there was also a sense of relief, finally free from dragging Wenjun down, hoping he could take her place and live well…
Just as tears streamed from her eyes and the wind from the bees’ wings began to whip her hair, about to crush her down, someone suddenly grabbed her outstretched wrist. A tremendous force surged through her wrist, and her body was uncontrollably yanked up, stumbling forward as she was dragged along. She opened her eyes and, through her tear-blurred vision, saw Xin Meng’s back.
“Run! What are you dawdling for?” Xin Meng shouted, turning her head. She didn’t care about being gentle; preserving life was the priority, so she couldn’t wait for Luo Yingying to steady herself. She practically dragged her along!
Dou Dou threw the little black doll to him, and Li Wenjun quickly ran over to help Luo Yingying, while You Yi reached Xin Meng’s side even faster, standing behind her and directly slashing down the bees that chased after them!
But there were simply too many bees. Even with his strength, he couldn’t completely block this massive wave!
The swarm was very intelligent, only sending a small portion to surround You Yi, the strongest, while the vast majority bypassed him to attack the five people behind, especially the two women, Qi Xiaokui, who was unconscious, and Luo Yingying, who was bleeding from her leg due to the earlier dragging. They became prime targets!
Dou Dou watched as the swarm charged towards Qi Xiaokui beside him. He quickly twisted his wrist, gathering the two little black dolls together, bending his knees to press down on them, then bent down to lift Qi Xiaokui onto his back.
Qi Xiaokui finally woke up from the violent jostling, opening her eyes just in time to see the overwhelming swarm of giant bees. She gasped in shock, completely unaware of what was happening, but instinctively tightened her grip around Dou Dou’s neck, stabilizing her body and significantly reducing Dou Dou’s burden.
Seeing her awake, Dou Dou grinned and shouted over the noisy buzzing, “Sister Qi, we’re off! Hold on tight!”
After saying that, he retracted his legs and released the little black dolls, which immediately began to run, heading for the next location!
On the other side, You Yi had already let go, but the other two little black dolls did not run off on their own. Instead, they gathered around Dou Dou, waiting for the last two, which was why Dou Dou had to subdue these two first instead of following You Yi’s lead.
Dou Dou immediately followed behind the little black dolls, and the others quickly followed suit. Li Wenjun carried Luo Yingying on his back, using all his strength to sprint!
However, the bees were like shadows, seemingly intent on pursuing them to the end!
