Everyone else quickly noticed Wen Xu too and asked how he ended up coming over.
Wen Xu replied with composure, “I saw some people I knew and came over to say hi. What’s up?”
The guys sitting next to him chimed in excitedly, “Yeah, yeah, we’re all in the same class.”
No wonder I felt like I recognized these guys at the start—they were all from the computer science department.
“Wait, you guys are in the same class? Why didn’t you say anything just now?” someone asked.
“The class president just got here, and we did call out to him, but it was too loud, probably he didn’t hear us!” said one of the guys sitting next to Wen Xu.
Everyone naturally bought Wen Xu’s explanation, but I remained skeptical. Why greet them now and not earlier? It seemed a bit too coincidental that he moved right when I was about to kiss someone at the next table.
Just then, someone suggested, “Since Wen Xu is here already, Ning Ran, you might as well kiss him! Keep the water in your own field!”

“Don’t rush it, we’ll kiss!” I declared to the crowd before placing my hands on Wen Xu’s shoulders. Mimicking the actors in TV dramas, I slowly moved my face closer to his until our lips were just a couple of centimeters apart, then tilted my head forward to pretend to initiate a kiss.
The reaction was enthusiastic, with whistles, applause, and cheers all around, making me feel like it was a waste not to pursue acting.
“Make it more passionate, more passionate!” someone in the back yelled, pushing me forward, which resulted in me accidentally bumping into Wen Xu’s lips.
The awkwardness was palpable in that instant. Crap!
At that moment, Wen Xu looked slightly shocked, and I, too, blinked awkwardly, my eyelashes brushing against his face. The sensation on my lips felt like an electric shock, so I quickly pulled away.
It was an accident. Don’t think too much about it.
I reassured myself internally, just about to turn to the others when Wen Xu suddenly wrapped his arms around my waist, pulled me into his embrace, and, to my surprise, pressed his lips against mine, kissing me without saying a word.

This kiss was completely different from the one he stole the other day. It wasn’t rushed but gentle, as he sucked on my lips. There was no taste of alcohol, just a hint of mint, which was quite pleasant.
But… now wasn’t the time to be enchanted. After regaining my senses, I tried to push him away, but Wen Xu’s physique was much larger than mine, and I couldn’t budge him. Instead, my struggles made him deepen the kiss.
The nightclub’s dance music blared, and the surrounding screams made it hard for me to cope, my heartbeat thundering. Wen Xu’s tongue gently licked my tightly closed lips, as if knocking on a door, trying to get me to open up.
He was hoping for too much!
Although this Truth or Dare game indeed involved kissing, I was still annoyed because we had agreed it was just for show! So, while Wen Xu was sucking on my upper lip, I bit his lower lip hard.
