I didn’t directly ask them if they were the ones who stole a kiss from me last night.
First, because I didn’t want to make a big fuss. If I asked, wouldn’t it mean everyone in the dorm would know I was kissed by a roommate last night?!
Second, I felt that if I asked them now, the sneaky dog who kissed me might think I already knew he was the “culprit” and might just confess in a panic. Besides, after hearing me say their kissing skills were bad, they’d surely come back at me. Typical me.
I decided to reply to the dorm leader, Duan Linze, first. He was my prime suspect at the moment.
[Ning Ran]: Hmm, it really wasn’t that good…
[Ning Ran]: Sorry about that, senior. Was I too blunt?
I couldn’t confront him directly yet. This type of ambiguous conversation was perfect for dealing with someone as tactful as the dorm leader.
The next person I replied to was Gu Yang, the younger student.
[Ning Ran]: We haven’t kissed?
Although I felt Gu Yang wasn’t lying, he sticks to me too much usually. What if his feelings had turned sour, and the naive junior’s façade tore to reveal a scheming gay guy? I had to probe a bit more.
Next up was Qi Yiming. I didn’t really suspect him. I’d seen his phone’s screensaver before—a very pretty female anchor. No gay guy would set that as a screensaver, right? But then again, this guy once said I kind of looked like that female anchor.
That’s… not good.
I sent him a few words.
[Ning Ran]: Eh, you think I sent it to the wrong person?
Let’s see how you respond!
As for Wen Xu, I frowned, my fingers flying over my phone screen, and sent—
[Ning Ran]: Sorry, sent it to the wrong person.
Good, he’s ruled out.
After replying to all the messages, I received a call from the group leader, pushing me to submit my assignment since I was the only one who hadn’t done so. I had no choice but to mute my phone and focus on finishing the task. Luckily, I managed to complete and send it off before lunch.
At the cafeteria during lunch, I finally had time to check my phone. To my surprise, the dorm leader hadn’t replied to my message, but the other three had.
[Gu Yang]: Bro, what are you talking about? Did you dream about us kissing? 0.0
[Qi Yiming]: …I think you sent it wrong, got stuff to do so I’m off to training.
[Wen Xu]: Then who were you trying to send it to?
Twenty-three minutes later, Wen Xu sent another message—
[Wen Xu]: You there?
I think I can rule out Qi Yiming. It’s been so long without a follow-up; he probably didn’t take it seriously. Who would be this calm otherwise? So, I didn’t reply to him.
As for Wen Xu, he felt a bit off. Based on his character, after seeing my message about sending it wrong, he should’ve just let it go. I pondered for a bit before replying.
[Ning Ran]: No need to tell you. 😬
As for Gu Yang, I felt like he really didn’t get what I was hinting at. Whether he’s genuinely innocent or hiding it well, I couldn’t tell. After thinking it over, I sent this:
[Ning Ran]: Little Yang, I just lost a game to someone else, don’t take what I sent seriously, it was a punishment.
Alright, I choose to believe him.
Gu Yang replied quickly.
[Gu Yang]: Hahaha, so that was it. I thought your account got hacked! Had me worried all morning QAQ!
I casually chatted with Gu Yang while eating. I didn’t return to the dorm at noon. Instead, I went out to buy some underwear since, for some reason, I’ve lost a couple of pairs recently. I had no idea where they’d gone, and I was almost left without any to wear.
That’s why I rushed to the supermarket in the middle of the day to urgently restock.
In the afternoon, our class merged with Class 1. Upon entering the classroom and looking for a seat, I noticed Wen Xu giving me a cryptic glance from the crowd. It confused me, so I hurriedly took a seat behind him.
Due to the sleepless night and rushing assignments all morning, coupled with the professor’s soothing voice, I soon drifted off to sleep. I woke up precisely when the class ended, stretched luxuriously, and headed back to the dorm.
Back at the dorm, finding no one else there, I decided to take a shower. While looking for a change of clothes, I discovered something horrific—another pair of my underwear was gone!
Damn! That was my most expensive pair! Why is this happening? Although I’m not usually very meticulous, I’ve never lost so many pairs of underwear at once before. Looks like I need to get a bag specifically for my underwear.
Fortunately, after some effort, I managed to find a pair I could wear. Even though I had just stocked up on a few new pairs, I have a habit of washing new clothes before wearing them.
After my shower, as I was drying my hair with a towel, I saw Duan Linze rush back into the dorm. My heart skipped a beat when I saw him. When he saw me, he actually smiled and walked over.
“Xiao Ran, have you finished showering?” he asked, moving closer to me.
I nodded awkwardly. “Yes…”
Duan Linze stepped closer, making me back up until my back hit the hard wall. Damn, there was no way to retreat now.
Just then, Duan Linze flicked my slightly damp hair with his finger and said gently, “Xiao Ran, you said my kissing skills were bad, right? How about we kiss now, and you can see if my kissing skills really are that bad?”
“…”
This damn guy—it was him after all. I hurriedly dodged and was just about to say there was no need when I heard a deep male voice from behind Duan Linze say, “What are you guys doing?”
