RSK Chapter 7

The noise from turning on the light clearly woke the person lying next to me. Perfect timing. Holding the briefs, I turned towards Wen Xu and casually asked, “You wear this style of briefs too?”

Although I appeared calm on the surface, inside, I was freaking out.

Damn! These were definitely my briefs. I didn’t expect it—Wen Xu, always so prim and proper on the surface, secretly stealing his roommate’s briefs. Couldn’t he afford his own?!

No, that can’t be it. He can afford a house, so he’s definitely not broke. Could the reason he took my briefs be… to do something morally degenerate and twisted?! That’s just filthy!

I was ready to see how Wen Xu would try to wriggle out of this, but to my surprise, he sat up and said, even more casually than me, “No, these are yours.”

“…” His honesty left me momentarily speechless.

“That day, when I was collecting laundry, I accidentally picked up your briefs,” Wen Xu paused, then added, “Sorry, I should have given them back to you sooner.”

Could it be that I was overthinking this?

“Oh, it’s okay, just give them back to me.” After saying that, I got off the bed and put the briefs in my bag of clothes.

After placing them, I hesitated about whether to go back to bed or not. Even though Wen Xu seemed flawless in his explanation, I couldn’t help but feel a bit uneasy now that I had started doubting him.

But as I turned around and saw Wen Xu still sitting on the bed, waiting for me, his expression looked somewhat pitiful from this angle. Tch, we’re both guys—what am I afraid of?

With that thought, I went back to bed and turned off the light to sleep.

Nothing happened throughout the night until morning, so it turns out my decision was correct.

Usually, if I have plans on weekends, I go out. If not, I typically stay in the dorm and play video games. Today, I had nothing to do, but Wen Xu was different. He made breakfast early in the morning and then told me he had to step out for a bit. He mentioned he’d be back by noon with lunch, telling me to relax at his place.

Before leaving, he even gave me his computer password in case I got bored. I must say, although Wen Xu comes off as cold, he’s quite thoughtful in these respects.

Not long after he left, I played a few games on my phone. But the holiday match-ups were terrible, and I dropped two ranks. Damn, this is so not worth playing!

Frustrated, I got a call from my group project leader, who rattled off instructions, mostly telling me to revise the group assignment we had submitted a few days ago because of some errors. Great, so now I had homework to rush over the weekend.

Complaining to myself, I walked over and turned on Wen Xu’s computer. As a Computer Science student, the first thing to do with a strange machine is, of course, to check out its specs.

One look, and I cursed aloud. Damn! This high-end luxury setup, it’s blinding! Ah! I’ve wanted this graphics card for so long, I could cry with envy.

Sure enough, jealousy had completely disfigured me.

After admiring the setup for a bit, I logged into my email to work on the assignment. In a rush, I needed to check a piece of information, so I opened a search engine, but accidentally closed the browser. Reopening it, I naturally went to the browser’s history to return to the previous page.

However, what I saw in the history shocked me.

[How to improve kissing skills]

[What to do if the person you like thinks your kissing is bad?]

“……”

These were clearly searches made by our genius Wen Xu. Both were from the day before yesterday—recent searches. Adding this to everything that had happened, it became clear: the person who stealthily kissed me that night was indeed Wen Xu!

Nice one, Wen Xu. Such a great actor.

Irritated, I clicked on the page [What to do if the person you like thinks your kissing is bad?]. It turned out to be a post on an anonymous forum. Looking at the post, I realized Wen Xu had written it himself. Tch, this secretive guy, even going online to ask about such emotional issues.

I skimmed through the post, and most of the comments were jokes—few people seemed to be taking him seriously. The post was anonymous, but there had to be an account. Curious, I clicked on Wen Xu’s profile.

0 following, 0 followers, blank profile picture, gibberish nickname… It was clearly a burner account, but he had posted numerous things.

[Wearing those white shorts again, everyone’s seen your legs, I want to tie you up so you’ll never wear shorts again.]

[Baby, you’re so pretty, I really really want to be with you right now.]

[I kissed your lips today, so soft, so sweet, I want to kiss you again.]

[Why are you smiling at others? Why do you hug someone else in front of me?]

[If you don’t behave, I’m really afraid I’ll do something crazy one day.]

[I want to tie you up on the dorm bed and do it over and over again in front of those three guys.]

After reading these, I jumped out of the chair, shocked. This “you”… could it be me?
